Ciel is so pretty... And wow, the new white really is white!

 

@LiselT That is some bright white! I feel like they’ve finally got their beauty white stable after the era of beauty green, so I’ll be interested to see how it ages. (And I’m glad it didn’t come out with Raven or there would have been such a debate in my house about whether she needed to be white or white-white. )

@Amadiel Your Ciel is so cute! Her outfit is amazing.

Re: Icarus FINE I’LL DO IT MYSELF. I have this habit of paying off dolls on a Friday so they hit my state the next Friday and sit in a depot near my house for an entire weekend, so here’s a quick after work Monday photo of Constantine. This fullset is reeeeaaally pretty in person. His mask is purple, which does not show up in photos but I love it.

My mint dragon legs came today from DDE and they’re such a nice color! I’m so happy to have my dragon boy complete! Now he and my Sircca match!

There’s definitely some major gapping in the front but seeing as he’s always going to be wearing a shirt it doesn’t really bother me all that much. I do wonder if the girl bodies are really *that* much bigger than the boys though.

 

Oooh, those look way cooler than the plain white ones I have!

 

I’m absolutely in love with them! This photo really doesn’t do them justice! Once I’m not feeling like hot garbage I plan to get some good photos in the sun!

 

Ugh been in and out of hospital but seeing all these new photos helps me feel a bit better!

Oh my gosh @Amet, your Phoeb faceups are so beautiful and compliment her features so well. Love them. Your Icarus is gorgeous too.

@Amadiel she looks so wistful, I often think owner pictures are much nicer to see than the official ones as you get a truer sense of how they are. She’s very pretty!

@LiselT it’s lovely to see them together like that even if it’s just a quick photo. Wow that is white compared to their usual beauty white, can’t wait to see if you manage to get a good photo of the ebony resin. It is maddening how some shades are just about impossible to photograph accurately, their tan is the same and that drives me nuts!

@GoldfishMage thank you, tried to work on it a bit more at the weekend but I went and broke my favourite pencil sharpener (the watercolour pencils I use are an odd size) and now it just keeps snapping them instead of sharpening

@Pen-Pen thank you and your boy is gorgeous, the legs almost look like they’re carved from jade!

 

@Blodeuwedd I have got to, at some point, get a pic of all my minifee together, lol. That is going to take SO much fussing!

In restring adventures with the Moe body: the body is a nightmare. Beside the original neck connector being broke, there is a crack down the side of the neck, the right leg was not bored correctly, so the calf has a very narrow hole and takes a lot to get any elastic through. Poor girl seems to have been a bad day in quality control, or done at the end of the business day.

 

Hello, I just received my first MiniFee, Ariel Vampire and am unfamiliar with this body and had a question about the back magnets. I noticed that she only has two magnets in her back, but the wings she came with have four, making the wings super loose and prone to falling off. I had to tape two extra magnets to her back to get the wings to stay on and they are still not very stable. Is this normal, for there to be only two magnets? I do have the Feeple65 Rick and his wings stay on super tight. Thanks so much for any help!

@Klaw Man that sounds frustrating! Idk if you’ve said when your body was from, but Fairyland has unfortunately had entire periods of bad quality control. They seem to have improved in recent years but they were notorious for it for a while.

@snailfaerie That’s how they’re designed. I think Ariel’s wings are unfortunately one of those experiments that only ended up sort of working. When I put mine on for photos I tie clear beading cord around the spines at the neck to hold them on, because any shift in her weight will throw them off. They look so cool but they are too heavy for her back magnets. (We also have Raven and Icarus in the house with wings and theirs are muuuuch smaller and lighter. Still a delicate connection you have to watch, but they’re not unable to hold themselves up at all the way Ariel’s are.)

 

I don't suppose anyone here has a mnf Raven with a non-company faceup? I've been giving her sculpt heart eyes lately and would love to see how versatile it is!

 

I picked the body up from DDE last October, but hadn't got to working on her until recently. I think it will be an easy fix once I get a new neck connector, especially now that I have the body completely apart. It's frustrating, but a learning experience that will probably help me in the future.

 

Thanks so much for the info! Since my dolls mostly just stand there I went ahead and used some eye putty to add four magnets to her back and it definitely helped to hold the wings on tighter. But yes, they are too heavy and if she is picked up, the wings cause her to bend backwards a little.

 

I just finished the major work on those three wigs, I am very happy with how they look on my girls. Now I just need to style them!

I got Klaus in deep ebony and he is very handsome. I need to get a photo of him, so far he hates wigs, but doesn't seem to mind knitted beanies.

When Fairyland offered the hands in deep ebony, I ordered him another set of hands and then Mirwen jumped in the cart, so he won't be lonely.

@nancy_schroeder_ca I have to agree, lol. The funny part is this was the fiber I dyed the first time for her wig, but hated how it came out. I was worried I didn't have enough to complete the wig, so I layered in the white. Lo and behold, this might be one of my favorite wigs I've ever made.

I just put an ebony minifee chloe head on layaway, the dreaming vampire elf version. Making her a drow I think. Only my second minifee. They don't seem as popular as before.

 

I ended up getting impatient and paying my Iset off early! Got her in hand recently. The ebony resin looks really nice with her sculpt aaa

I would die for a pair of mint green wings! I have no idea how I’d get them though! I definitely want to get some horns, there’s just so many to choose from that I dunno what style I want!

 

@Pen-Pen He is gorgeous! I love Fairyland’s fantasy leg sculpts, they always look so graceful compared to those of many other companies, more natural in their movement.

@LiselT those wigs turned out beautifully. I wouldn’t have thought the white strands would have worked so well either but they do so no wonder she claimed it.
Love your Mini-me Minifee, she has such a pretty face, you have to show us a pick of the two together after telling us how cute they are. Patti, my Pukipuki is kind of an unintentional mini-me…a kind of super concentrated childlike version . I have plans for another Ingrid head I got though, her intended look will be based on my FFXIV Viera character so in a way she’s me but not me at the same time.

@Dollquest she’s lovely, that colour suits that sculpt far better than I thought it would. It does look like it’s going to be a difficult shade to photograph accurately, why do Fairyland do this to us?!

@HikariAlien she looks so tiny and delicate compared to the others in that lineup. It shows off her features beautifully almost to the point where she doesn’t need a faceup!

 

Does anyone know what the difference is between the Active line and Motion line boy bodies? Only the Motion line is available currently, and I'm debating getting an in-stock doll from DDE on it.

 

Having owned both, the Motion Line is a better poser. It’s solid on its feet and its arms stay where they’re put. It is kind of gangling looking in comparison, but I don’t mind so much because my guy is always dressed, and I’ll forgive a lot for good posability.

It is so cool to see so many minifess. That is how I found out about the hobby. They are on my wish list, especially a Soony Shiwoo/chiwoo and other minifees like the fantasy line with the mermaid body and the centaur body.

 

If I remember correctly, A-line is "temporarily discontinued" while they rework it. Looks-wise, the motion line has the "skinny boy" look. Motion line does have much better posability, and can look normal sitting. I believe I have one of every body (except the Moe boy) if anyone wants to convince me to finally unpack dollies for comparison photos.

 

Does anyone have a picture of what basic makeup in 2025 looks like? I'm trying to decide to order my doll with it or blank thank you!

Okay weird question but this is the best spot to ask- can anyone show me the inside of the Moe hip joint and what kind of mechanics they have?

 

Does anyone have a Nanuri 24/25 with faceup? I'm trying to decide if I want to keep this head or not, and so far there's nothing I can find on IG to reference what it'd look like with a faceup.

 

I would like to see some Nanuri 24/25 with a faceup too! Mine should be arriving tomorrow if there are no delays. I got the elf version and I am thinking of making mine a boy. I got NS Icarus and Ebony Phoeb and I am getting very antsy! Thankfully working on my ebony vampire elf layla has helped in the meantime. The faceup is about 75% done.

Back when I started collecting BJDS, the two Minifee sculpts I admired the most were Dark Elf Soo and Karsh. Yesterday the in-stock Karsh from DDE arrived to join my Dreaming DES! So happy to finally have him! Here there are together! (BTW her outfit is made for Ellowyne Wilde, but fits really well)
