Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 68

Does anyone have a Klaus they could show off? I'm trying to decide between him and Alan, if I decided to get a deep ebony boy.

 

SO tempted, but I'm waiting on Raven and she hasn't even shipped yet The struggle is real!

 

I own a Klaus Sleeping ver. In tan skin, and have no intention to get his open-eyes head but my picture might still help seeing how he sculpt so I'll drop one here

Klaus and Alan are both a good choice though in my opinion

 

Ugh I'm so torn. I love her face sculpt and outfit but I don't do msd size any more and so I have to decide if she's worth caving over - especially with the NYC Doll Con coming up, I'm trying to save funds for that! aa;lsdjkfasdf

edit: ugh I might just do a 9mo layaway with DDE ahaha. We'll see how I feel in January I guess?

Heya! I hope my question fits the topic a bit.

I have a couple of Minifee girls, but I recently obtained Juri2020 head and plan to make it into a male. However, the current Active line is too skinny (the old Active line looks hard to find) and I want to find a suitable body with some muscles. Did anyone try to hybrid with masculine body types?

i think u mean the motionline body? there is no new active line body for the boys. as for the old active line body it can be hard to find but if thats the aesthetic you're going for it might be worth to try and find one! there have been hybrids tho, I've seen ppl use dream valley and df-h bodies for juri2020 on instagram. I have mine on the motionline though, i dont mind how skinny it is for juri at least.

Hi! I think this question probably would have been answered somewhere but i can't find it. I'm trying to remove the neck piece to hybrid minifee body with other head. Do i need to replace with a bigger S hook? And how do i pull the neck piece out? I heard it has to be from the ankle first, but pulling the ankle part is even harder TT

 

Dissemble from ankle is the correct answer. And yes, you need a bigger S hook.

Pulling out the ankle you will see the loop of string hanging with the part. Detach the string from your ankle piece and they will slip back into doll leg. Do the same with another ankle. Dissemble all and change out the neck piece.

 

I have a WS minifee head I'm trying to find a body for. I know in the past soom and souldoll were good resin matches, but does anyone have any recent comparisons that they still match?
Is it a match for Soom cream white, or Peony white?

 

@Lacrizzle I can tell that soom peony white isn't a good match. (Can't provide picture since the WS head isn't with me anymore though...) Peony white is a paper white + tint of pink under tone

Soom cream white is likely to match fairyland ws with some ages.

 

Are there any good clothes shops that people like for their girls? Moe or active, I have both. I'd like to try to get mine some new clothes. It's been a while and I'm slacking on making anything.

@Azure Agape my Diana (Dreaming DES) can wear clothes from DDE, including both their own t-shirts and dresses, and pieces from Dollmore they carry.

I'm absolutely in love with the new ebony and fomo is guiding my hand on securing at least one doll in the colour- most likely an Iset. I was curious if anyone else would be getting other sculpts in the colour too?

 

@HikariAlien Oh yes, I'm in the same boat! I'm thinking of Kyma and the Nanuri event head in dark ebony but the trouble is I can't decide between the full set or getting a basic with the full bust (which I like better, but the full set has some super cute pieces, argh).

 

That's always my struggle! I would prefer the cutie bust but I also love the full set!

So I had ordered the ebony vampire elf Chloe head directly through FL because I didn't see it up on DDE and didn't want to miss out on her. This was 2 weeks ago. I received an email that the head has shipped already!

 

I just got my Raven Mechanique Mystique set today and I have to say I really like the face up the open eyed head came with. In fact, the sculpt is so much cuter than I expected! I bought her because I was excited for the Calavera head but now I may have to invest in another body because the regular head is great, too.

DDE had them in stock and I ordered a tan one!

 

Wow I wasn't expecting it to be so bold and I love it!! It's different from their usual, I really love her and I'm happy to see they're branching out and away from the green and too much sparkle era haha.

 

Oh no, she’s still very sparkly up close. XD The picture isn’t showing that but no, she’s not green. I love the way they did her make up. I am also pleased with her outfit though it’s very fiddly. I will warn anyone getting a full set to be gentle because those buckles might not be playing but they are also very delicate. My wife had to get a pair of tweezers to pull some of the straps through. It’s very impressive though when it’s all together. The Calavera head is also very impressive. You can’t see it in Fairyland’s pictures but the paint around the eyes shimmers in the light.

Oh no I didn't love Raven from her promo pictures, but seeing yours.....I like her a lot more.

I ordered a deep ebony Klaus boy, and took advantage of the discount on tan to grab a boy body. Now the race begins - I ordered Raven through DDE and Klaus and the body through Fairyland proper. Who will get here first, dreaming vampire Chloe's head or body?

 

@HikariAlien That's a good idea! But I think I've decided I'll just go basic and get exactly what I want for the body. The pieces are very cool but I'm not displaying that many of the clothes/shoes from other fullsets right now, so it might just be a tad unnecessary, even though I love them. My small attempts at economy haha

@Ctrowbridge77 pfft!! I sort of understand, I settled on just Iset instead of both Iset AND basic mermaid Kyma as an attempt to be economical as well (and the poor mermaid tail reviews)

 

No problem at all. Shipping is more, but they are offering the tan resin at half price, so that helped with the overall total. They use Paypal, it's really easy to pay. So if you don't need to layaway or you use the Paypal buy now pay later option, it's pretty easy and less of a wait, since it doesn't have to be part of a bigger order going to a third party.

 

I saw Ciel today at local bjd store and feel like her head is smaller than other minifee I have seen ???

Or maybe it's just her face? Does anyone have a comparison of this head next to other sculpt?

I'm thinking to add another minifee next year (Sooner or later depend on when I can settle the story, or if there is a very stunning full set announce), now if their proportion look too different I might have to choose more carefully.

@xxxsaturnxxx Wow - You had me at "Local BJD store!!! Lucky you! Anyway, I don't know about Ciel, but in general, it seems the minifee heads are trending smaller.

 

@Dollquest if you live in Tokyo, there's a chance that you will meet some minifee in bjd store here

I have other minifee, a Klaus to be precise. I just feel like Ciel's head is even smaller than Klaus's.

If there's no one come up with comparison photo soon I might bring Klaus head along with me to the store next time I visit around there to clear out my curiosity.... Just hope that she will not got sold by then (Minifee girls sell out fast here, maybe I have no chance after all)

 

Her head is definitely tiny. They've been shrinking xD Her face is small too, but it's also the head

 

I own multiple MNF released over the years, and the head sizes do vary, which makes no sense.

 

Does anyone have both the large bust and the full bust? If you do, do you find that they share clothing easily? I’m contemplating a full bust body for one of my girls, but I do a lot of sewing for them and all my patterns are sized to the large bust so I’m worried she won’t be able to fit them.

Also I painted my VE Chloe this weekend. She’s so sassy, I love her.

My Ciel finally arrived at DOLK they sent me pics but her faceup looks so much darker then others I have seen she also has this red blush bit in the middle of her forehead.
If anyone here has her can you please send pictures? maybe in natural light? I am not sure if its just the lighting or not but i am a bit upset : (

Flickr seems to be the best unless you have your own image host. I believe imgur will work as well. Unsure if tumblr is a viable option.

Going back through old photos as I prepare for the NYC Doll Con and oh boy do I miss this gal. She was definitely one of my favorite minifees and I keep debating about grabbing the Nanuri head from this event but a;slkjdf

 

DDE sent me a note saying my layaway Raven had arrived and I could pay her off all at once if I wanted. This time the order only took 12 weeks! I wonder if they have more people working on the dolls or not as many orders of Raven, either way, I'm excited.

Sorry for the waiting, that Ciel is still at Dolk store front, with horrible lighting this is all I can capture.

She look fine irl, really... And her head is really smaller than my Klaus (Oh, why Fairyland why...)

 

@love4dollz I think what’s probably happening is that you have a doll whose promo pictures were put out in tan, so when you get a paler version of her the faceup might look darker on her. Fairyland has one default faceup they put on all the dolls with the same full set, which sometimes ends up looking different depending on which color doll you get.

DDE made a post with all three skin tones if you want to see what the faceup looks like on each. (Hopefully that link works, Instagram is making it difficult to copy and paste!)

.... Ok, I know how you feel.

If there's no way to ask for faceup to redone, you just have to take her in first to see if dolk's picture is accurate... And what can you do with her. I'd say that even compare to DDE picture this Ciel still got too much of dark/blue tone.
