Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 67

Oct 15, 2021

    1. I asked for purple, but a darker tan/brown would be awesome too!

    2. YEah I was thinking they pulled it off for the "choco" pukis back in the day. (Maybe this time just don't name it after food -.- ). I realize they might have to charge a lot more but it'd be nice to have as an option during events. A nearly black brown would be gorgeous too.

      • x 1
    3. I asked for "cocoa".

I also asked for the special color to be used for puki puki.... not that I'm holding my breath on that one.

      • x 2
    4. I don't know if mine submitted correctly, but I asked for an olive skin tone between normal and tan skin

      • x 1
    5. I asked for purple and green skin tones. I need a green fairy in my life. :daisy

      • x 2
    6. I asked about a dark brown. It could be really pretty. I'd also like to have a Pukipuki Sugar.

      • x 2
    7. I hope they give us a few new color options next time around. <3
I think some of the asked for colors would pair lovely with the fantasy parts, green and dark/rich brown would make a killer fawn or centaur.

    8. I asked for a brown skin tone as well. Looking forward to seeing what they release.

    9. I didn’t ask but I’ve been hoping for transparent pink centaurs. I would switch out their feet with my white one lol

    10. Guys, my Minifee Phoeb arrived this thursday and she is beyond gorgeous. The outfit is amazing and I am in love with the elven event head. :love Sadly I will not have time to take lots of pictures of her because I will be moving soon and won't have much time for doll stuff sadly. :pout:
So I just wanted to share a quick phone snapshot of her:

    11. Wow, thank you for sharing!! She's gorgeous. Her color palette is such a perfect pastel theme.

    12. @Amadiel - She is stunning! Very ethereal with her accessories and lovely wig.

      • x 2
    13. Phoebe is just stunning! Someday, I'd love to buy a fullset instead of simply a la carte. There's something about receiving a dressed doll that's just so delightful.

This is Marcus, he's been feeling dead tired lately. I'll be posting pictures of his (fraternal) twin sister soon! I'm just contemplating wigs at the moment.

    15. @Magnus Vale I love him, your dolls always have such cool face ups and styling.
Also I was eyeing the SD version of that shirt and thinking of getting it for my half skull Sia boy, seeing it on your MNF boy only makes me like it more. It pairs really well with the half skull event heads I think. <3

    16. Thanks! I enjoy working with face up artists to come up with unique ideas. Absolutely fell in love with the skeleton head too, I think bones and skeletons are really neat. I also pretty much bought the sweatshirts as soon as I saw them, so happy that I bought two at the time! They're such nice quality too, although it might be worth giving them a quick wash before using since they tend to shed black lint a smidge, nothing too horrible.
And here's Moira, who has claimed the purple sweatshirt, as is her right.

      • x 7
    17. @Magnus Vale WOW! I love the colors on her. She’s amazing.

    18. I really love purple, so I knew that I would make one of my skull kids that color scheme. I only realized that I had the matching sweatshirts later when I was doing some flat lays for their outfits. I have lots of purple stuff for the ladies in my clothes bin, so it worked out really well to match her makeup!

    19. Wow those are stunning! They're such a difference from the usual MNF look.

    20. I search around but hopefully someone can answer.

Are the outfits interchangable? Can a fairyline fit a moe and visa versa? I like the russian maiden maya but i wished she was on a fairyline body.

    21. To my knowledge it's a sometimes yes thing, but keep in mind I only have a few A-line girls and one technically female optional fairyline Sia. Right now I have a male Moe and an older a-line male, 2 male fairyline, and the bulk of my MNF are male motion line. Ezra my Sia boy came with the flat male optional chest for the female fairyline body, and no legs just the seahorse tail. The spare busts however seem the same as my A-line girls for normal and extra big options. Also the torso part seems close enough to share dresses.
I know that some of the male outfits can be used by the different boy bodies, but not all.
I have a handful of the female full sets, but not one that was meant for a moe girl body as do not have or want a moe-line girl MNF.
That said I do know someone did a chest swap of a moe girl and an a-line girl with little or no issues a while back, so I want to say there is some bust size to torso shape cross over between the MNF bodies.

I know it's not a straight up yes or no, but I do hope that helps a little.

    22. Outfits can be swtiched yes, but it depends on the bust size. If the outfit is created for a big bust , it may fit not very well on small sizes.
And Moe is a little shorter, so long dresses ar may to long.

      • x 1
    23. @Tippetarius @vanori thanks, it does help. I dont have much exposure to the different bodies so all of this helps. Are the magnetic shoes able to swap? I assumed so?

    24. That one I do know and it is a yes the shoes and stakes were made to be used by all the bodies. Also some of the magnetic feet can trade between body types. Male Moe boys can use the normal flat feet for the other male bodies. I know that cuz I hated my Moe boy's extra small feet they were far too hard to find shoes for so I got him different feet. It doesn't work the other way the fit is tight.

Also the motion boys can use the A-line high heel feet, but this one I have found the fit isn't always prefect and I'm trying to decide if the boys that they fit are the odd ones or if the ones where the fit is off is the norm. More doll science with my crew is needed, but for sure my Ingrid boy can use his twin sister's high heel feet with no issues, and one of my other boys the fit is too tight and they are the only two I tested with so far.

    25. My Rames head is on the way back from being painted! I still have lots of work to do for styling him, but I’m very happy to have him out of the default faceup with something I like a lot more instead.

      • x 5
    26. That's so exciting! I always love seeing how different a doll can look with different styling

    27. My friend recently got MiniFee Lami and I kinda fell head over heels for her…now I want one of my own!

Anyone who feels like sharing…if you could choose one girl and one boy as your favorite sculpt, which would they be? ♥️I’m trying to decide!

      • x 1
    28. My fav girl sculpt is Alicia :chibi

      • x 2
    29. My one favorite boy is Ruth, and my one favorite girl is my Mirwen.

      • x 1
    30. @InkNLionsTeeth Just one? and only as one gender each? how could anyone actually pick that?
My top favorite head molds (both as MNF and as F60s as size cross over) Are Sia, Alan, and Erda I can't pick less then 3.
I love love love Sia boys, and like Sia girls most of the time too, I have never seen an Alan of any gender (male, female, nonbinary, ect) that I didn't just love. Same for Erda I just adore Erdas of all genders. That said I really like a lot of the MNF molds so picking even 3 top favs was super hard.

    31. I'm an old school FL kinda person so Shiwoo and Kyle still have a soft spot in my heart but also Erda is adorable! Speaking of Kyle, my old kyle fullset doll Zach got a new wig to replace his fullset wig after I ruined and then lost it so an apology of sorts even if it took years to find a mnf braided wig :sweat

its not exactly like the Tyr fullset wig but its close enough that I'm thrilled with it!

    32. @Urushi-kitty I too also love MNF Kyle, I feel like Kyle and vampire Woosoo are also can do no wrong molds. Your Kyle is rocking his new wig. Note to self take more photos of Ciel my own MNF Kyle needs more love. I need to remind my self to spoil all my MNFs not just the newer ones.

    33. @InkNLionsTeeth Klaus is my go to choice for the boy, the current event Akis look nice too, but I'm not sure since I never see any owner pic of him

For the girl... Consider the current available choice I'd say Miwa, her sculpt is very versatile and give out a cute feminine vibe.

    34. Wow, thanks guys! :3

@Tippetarius Sorry LOL!!! That’s exactly my problem, you see; they’re all so beautiful that I‘m having trouble narrowing down the selection!

Everyone has really helped though ♥️

    35. @InkNLionsTeeth The real hard task with the question you posed isn't picking favs every one has favs by personal taste. Though narrowing it down is hard top 5 lists top 3 or 2s can be done.

Really for me it's limiting any given head mold to one gender, as many of the girls make cute/handsome boys, and same for the default male molds making great girls. (As I said I love Sia boys which are rare as it's a default female mold, but to me it makes a great teen boy.)

Another case of this is when I first saw Ingrid I thought oh she's pretty I want her and her event head. However the longer I looked at the event head the more I thought it might look good as a boy, and now I have Ingrid twins where the human one is female and the vampire one is male.

I'm waiting to get my Lami order paid off as I have plans to gender flip another Fairyland mold XD I want to make the tan Lami elf head into one of my favorite male characters from the comic Elf Quest.

Honestly the best thing you can do to make up mind on any mold is hunt the owner photos here and elsewhere. There are a number of MNFs (and other dolls for that matter) I didn't fall for until I saw the right owner pic and "went wait that's X mold?"
Good luck in refining your top favs list until you know the one (or the two) you want to make yours. ^_^

    36. Your Phoeb is lovely @Amadiel ! and the costume as well!! Congrats!

My favorite minifee sculpt is still Chloe - she was the reason I got into minifees
in the first place - well - that and getting Raouken corsets!
So here are three of my gals in a quick photo - all artist facepaints.
They make me smile every time I see them…..

    37. Chloe is also my favorite too. I not only have her as a minifee but as a Littlefee and as an F60. Chloe was my first minifee. I had Angel Toast paint her. I was going to look for a good picture but then remembered that she is my avatar. lol! Your ladies are beautiful and so are the Raouken corsets!

    38. Chloe really is such a great sculpt. Even after all this time, she still looks fresh and new, and pretty much every faceup is just gorgeous on her. I don't have one yet, but she's definitely on my wishlist.

    39. Oh @Dollquest - please do post a full size photo of your beautiful Chloe??
I’ve seen photos of the LittleFee Chloe and agree that she is darling as well!
Congrats on having three versions of such an enchanting sculpt!! :)

I hope that you’re able to get a Chloe too @Aurify ! I love, too, how variable
she can look with various artist’s work.

    40. @Robyn_in_WA Your Chloe trio always looks gorgeous!

Popping in because I am just smitten with my elf Phoeb! I've named her Cerridwen and she is a work in progress, lol.

This was just a progress shot of her base wig once I got the part installed. There are braids and beads to come and I have a pair of eyes my husband bought me that I'm waiting to arrive! Eventually I will be making her faerie wings, too!

Anyone got some new picspam of your crews? I must live vicariously through everyone as I am having to take a complete hiatus from the hobby. :sorry I can still be active here though!

    41. @LiselT She's gorgeous! Congrats! That wig is the perfect colors for her.
@Robyn_in_WA Your girls are beautiful. Chloe got me into this hobby as well, although I have yet to acquire one.

The requested picspam- Ivy's not new, but the photo is and I barely post her online anyway. I've been trying to work through left over fabric and jewelry supplies, and she's been helping me. Out of a spirit of generosity and sacrifice, I'm sure. Her help has nothing to do with stealing new dresses from her incoming sister... Ivy already poached the wig the second it arrived and then it got stolen soon after by a resinsoul girl. Prism's gone from having eyes, a wig, and a small wardrobe to nothing but a blank floating head (Dark Soo lookback, waiting on a moe body.)

    42. I've got kind of a funny question - does Fairyland release the edition size of their fullset dolls? How many dolls are in a run - 100? 500? 1000? More?

As for picture spam, here is my beautiful Lami with company faceup! Doll and outfit/accessories all from Denver Doll.

    43. @Azure Agape Ivy looks great! I can totally see why she would steal that wig, too! Such a pretty pastel rainbow! I might have to try actually dyeing and making a full rainbow wig in the future!

Also, loving the fantasy dress! It looks like it would be a fantastic base for lots of layering and a unique outfit. :D

@Aurify Man, I was not sold on Lami when she was first released, but the more owner photos I see, especially in tan, are making me regret passing on her! She's gorgeous! I feel like she would be a perfect sister sculpt next to Chloe! Mine is now demanding me to bring one home!

      To the wish list!

    44. ^^ Her eyebrows are a little out there, imho, but the sculpt is really just so stunning. Pop her in a wig with bangs and she's perfect!

    46. Thanks @LiselT ! I should take more photos of them as they are SO photogenic!
You Elf Phoeb looks fanastic! The wig really suits her outfit too! Congrats!!

Thanks @Azure Agape !! I hope that you’re able to get your Chloe soon then!
Your Ivy is sure lovely too!

Your Lami is sure beautiful @Aurify - as is her dress!

    47. I am just SO in love with Lami! You've styled her so beautifully. I can't wait to buy my own one day.
