Thanks for the help! I really miss my old Minifee Juri13 and I've been stalking a listing for one for many days now, hopefully when I get paid this friday I'll have enough to make an offer on her ^^

 

I have hybrided minifee with the bimong Narae fusion body, and two different bodies from dollzone (b45-012 and b45-017) each of the hybrids I think worked quite well but the dollzone were a little better in my opinion.

Bimong's "New Tan" isn't a perfect match for Fairyland Tan but I think it is close enough (for me at least) I've tried finding hybrids for Fairyland tan from other companies and haven't found one that matches as well for tan.

Thank you! Her name is Jaedon. She's a minifee Soo which sadly is no longer available but it's a super cute sculpt!

And since I am here, this is a NS minifee head on a Dollzone b45-017 body. The fairyland NS is a good match for Dollzone Normal Pink and one of the best hybrids I have found.



She's a minifee Summer 17 head and her name is Dinah.

When does Fairylands winter event usually take place?

 

Last year it was early December.

 

Last year it was December 10th. Even earlier it was between December 12 and December 15

 

Well I missed out on the Juri13, but I was able to purchase a beautiful Rheia from someone right here on Doa I'm super excited to have a minifee again, even if it'll just be a floating head for awhile lol

 

Has anybody here pierced their Minifee’s ears? I rarely see a Minifee with earrings. Personally, I find my dolls always seem like they are missing something if they are not wearing earrings….

 

I just bought a second hand one that has some ear holes. Most will use a pin vise which is a teeny tiny hand drill that is useful for jewelry making, and polymer clay crafts.
I wouldn't do that myself, instead I like to use micro/pixie/caviar beads or a hole-less half bead with glue. That way, the head doesn't have any modifications that could affect re-sell value later, if I needed to do that.

 

I don't know if this is the right forum area to ask, but does anyone here have a Minifee hybrid? I bought recently a MNF head and I know minifees need a neck connector to make hybrids. Where could I get one? And which one do I need?

 

Denver doll used to sell minifee neck connector, or you could write a direct request e-mail to fairyland, both of them are quite nice to deal with.

 

I just added a sleeping ShuShu human floating head to my doll family. She's pre-dating inside the head and COAs and very, very yellow. I know there are ways to mellow the yellow out (did something similar with a beauty green body years ago), but I can't remember how. Any suggestions?

 

I know there's a tutorial somewhere here on DOA using whitening toothpaste.

 

I have three minifee hybrids! Two on dollzone bodies and one on a bimong body. You do need the minifee neck connector. Fairyland sells them and just calls them "Minifee Neck Parts" MiniFee Neck Parts or you could also get it from Denver Doll where they have it listed as "Minifee Neck Connector" Minifee Part- Neck Connector – Denver Doll Emporium

So I have a quick question about resin matching, since my Rheia was made in 2011 and isnt very yellow (atleast compared to my other bjds), should I try to find an old minifee body or should I just save up for a brand new body? Is the current NS resin much different from the old one, or is there any difference at all?

 

I have minifee spanning from 2009 to 2021 and I personally feel like newer NS is a bit more pink than older NS, even if the older resin hasn't yellowed much.

 

Oh good, that doesn't sound too bad then. I've been really trying to find an old minifee body rather than attempt another hybrid after realizing that there's a big size difference between the normal MSD dolls and Slim MSDs (noob mistake). Another question if you'll forgive me ^^", but what would you say is a fair price on the secondhand market for an old minifee body? There's one I've been eyeing in the $200 USD range and I've seen another go for $250. I know the rule of thumb is if the price is too good then its most definitely a fake, but I want to be extra careful since minifees tend to be very expensive when brand new.

 

I've never bought a secondhand minifee body under $250 so I don't know if I would trust one under that to be legit. If it is an old A-Line (hook feet) I'd say $250 to $300 is perfectly reasonable. If it is new a-line (magnet feet) I'd say $350ish is fair. Just my experiences here though, others may disagree!

 

Good to know! I'm afraid of getting a fake by mistake so I'm sticking to pro artist sites like here and some of the Facebook groups, I've seen some odd pricing on Instagram so I wanted a second opinion going forward. Thanks

 

I have sold quite a few Minifee bodies (2018-2021) and have priced them at $250-300. They always sell really fast at those prices, though.

@spacefallen if the doll body is here on DoA it's less likely to be a recast, but be very very careful about ones sold elsewhere or on other platforms. Be particularly careful of ones on Ebay since they don't bother to police their own policies no matter how many people report recasters there. Heck, there are recasters who advertise their items as being recast and Ebay doesn't do anything about it....

 

Thanks for the advice! Someone actually reached out to me on the Facebook group "BJD Rescue" and they're letting me purchase an old a-line minifee body from them I'm so glad I went there, they've been very nice

@witch-hammer If you go to p.2 of this thread, you will find 2 pictures of my Alan. One in the post and 1 as a spoiler. - he's a bit of a show-off. He has the FL face-up which I actually really like.

@merili I really like Lucas too - He has a very different Face-up from the FL version. It shows how different face-ups really make the Alan sculpt into totally different characters.

 

His faceup is stock, actually! I think the pink wig helps soften it a bit, brings out the peach tones. The white skin is probably also what makes it look so different.

 

Wow! He looks so different with the pink wig. I looked back at your picture and I can see that now - I think it is because Alan has a lot of colors in his face-up and different wigs and probably outfits bring out the different colors.

Just what's been posted on facebook (Kim SunHwa). It's the Alan head with a IMO a nice F60 male body. The full set is a Wolf. It will be released, I believe, during the December Event.

 

So excited! Today. I paid off my Minifee Maya at Denver Doll 2 months earlier than expected! Yay. I have never done a layaway at DDE before. She was an IN STOCK doll when I placed the order. Will they go ahead and ship her now that she is paid off, or do I have to ask them to ship her? Her layaway was supposed to run until the end of January.

Anyone here from Canada? I have a Minifee on her way from Denver Doll and am just wondering what kind of customs fees I should expect? Does DDE use USPS to ship to Canada?

 

@AnnC , my last two minifees (Luha, Dina) cost me a little over 200$ each to get from customs. (Ordered from DDE)

It's pretty gross, but it depends on what you ordered. Mine were both full sets with extras. Another doll that was in the 7-800$ range "only" cost around 120$.

I did my Minifee Ingrid’s faceup tonight. I attempted to go slightly more subtle with the eye makeup than I usually do, but it still turned out looking a little dramatic. Ah well.

I love seeing all of the lovely girls and boys posted here, it makes me super excited for my own girl! The body for my unnamed Rheia has shipped and should be here by friday. I'll need to order elastic since she'll be un-strung in the box but in the meantime I impulse bought some eyes for her. ^^

 

Oh, no...the event heads this winter are two elves...

It's been a long time since the last "Not Vampire" elf released from Fairyland. But I'm already have a doll plan with Volks this winter .

Let's see if I could manage the budget a bit...

 

I saw them and I am screaming about one being Chiwoo! I wish the Chiwoo elf wasn't a winking version but I did see mentioned on a Discord server I'm in about there will be regular Chiwoo and human Soo look back heads releasing as well so I think I'll pick up a regular Chiwoo head!

 

I really love the expression on the new Soo elf event head's face! It's so cute! I'm so happy with all these elf heads lately, especially since some of them have different style elf ears!

 

came here to yell about the look back heads in excitement too!!! I can't find where the human versions seem to be posted...but I LOVE Soo's angry face. Something about it makes me think of an angry little kitten

I planned on going for the new mnf girl... and I'm so hoping that they let us buy a limited a la cart for f60 boy body or something - alan looks super nice on the body but since i sold off my mnf alan soon after i got him, i'm worried i might end up doing the same with his big head. I can't keep having these headless bodies hanging around...... i've got an extra moe mnf one in a box too that Soo might steal now.

@Karra I second your desire for more Karsh headplates! That's the only MNF I have atm and he still needs a faceup haha

 

I'm seriously thinking of getting a tan Minifee Chiwoo because gods knows I'll never find a Delf Tanning
