I would like to put the request out, as Lami comes in, for a Chloe/Lami comparison photo. I have a Chloe and can’t decide if Lami is too similar or if they go well together!

So my tan Minifee Lookback Shiwoo girl arrived yesterday with a sizeable crack up her cleavage! I actually wrote up an entire post inquiring if this was a normal quirk for bust parts and included pictures and everything, but I scrapped it after seeing DDE had quickly responded to my email about it; they confirmed that it is, indeed, damage and that they were ordering a replacement part for me. I figured that would be the solution, but I was worried that I would need to ship back the entire doll and I'd hoped to get to work on her straight away. So have this wholesome pic of my Shiwoos becoming acquainted instead!



In case anyone's curious, here's the damage under the spoiler. Has anyone else had this happen to their girl dolls?

Ouch that would be very sad to see on a newly arrived doll...on any doll for that matter : ( I'm glad they are sorting it for you and hope the wait isn't too long. I wonder what causes that to happen.

Thank you! I'm wondering if it's a defect with the part itself, because the rest of her is fine. I'll investigate once I get the new part in and can look at the broken one from the other side.

She is strung fairly tightly, which causes no issue aside from her head wanting to tilt to her left, but I saw a post on Instagram where someone had removed the neck mechanism from their Feeple and found a significant crack in the top of the neck; this person attributed it to the elastic tension combined with what they felt was a decline in quality overall from Fairyland, which I'm taking with a grain of salt.

 

I've got my minifee boys all lined up. 2 need faceups (and I may as well repaint the last) and all need proper clothing, but they all have bodies and hair! The Halloween head is on a Doll Leaves v2 body and the Sylvia sleeping head is on the Myou v2. They all have a nice range of heights. I'll need to take some good pics comparing.

 

The boys look great! They remind me of Halloween or Night Parade of Hundred Demons. Hope to see them with faceup soon

 

How were you able to get the Minifee head to work on the Doll leaves body?

I am wanting to hybrid a Minifee Mirwen with the Doll Leaves Female body and would love to know.

 

There is an adaptor you can buy on Denver Doll Emporium. You will need to restring the body to get it on.

Just wanted to share a quick picture I took of my Lami who arrived today safe and sound.
She's so gorgeous, I can't stop staring at her. My first impression of her is very nice, I love the company faceup and the white resin looks lovely, too.
Not sure about the eyes/wig/outfit combination yet but I just wanted to see her fully dressed for now.

Next question. How hard would it be to switch the s hook hands on one dolls body for the minifee hands? If it's possible that is. I do understand part of it will be the size of the ball in the socket for each wrist. I'm getting the Doll Leaves body that's the 3 pieces because it moves the way I want it to. If the minifee body could curl in a little more I'd be sticking with that.
I'm wanting to get different hands and feet for her anyway just the minifee means I can get them all from one website instead of so far 5 different ones.

 

I'm going to try and catch up, I love seeing everyone's photos.

@SeriousBunny – Your Iset is gorgeous! I think she looks particularly lovely in tan skin, and I do love the company faceup.

@Annaku – Your Maya is so beautiful! The sculpt tempts me more each time I see an owner photo. I am always shocked that she is not more popular. Your Nanuri is also very sweet and her wig is gorgeous and looks super soft and well-made.

@Lady Gemini – I love your Shiwoos! It is such a versatile and expressive sculpt. I'm pretty surprised that Shiwoo was discontinued because I felt like they were quite popular. ( I also still haven’t painted my lookback Shiwoo )

@Thymeseer – Your crew looks awesome! They are all styled uniquely and I love the black and orange eyes, they're very striking.

@Amadiel – Lami is STUNNING! I was not initially drawn to her from seeing the company photos but ooh I’m in trouble! The faceup is gorgeous and very detailed.

 

And today I give unto you, one Naoki, just chilling. Now I need to figure out what I want to do for my Lami elf boy's face. Such a cute head.

 

What do you guys hope to see Fairyland do with a minifee event? I'll tell you my fantasy Firstly, another elf! Not a vampire or funny expression though. A boy elf even better! As for the outfit, I'd love to see something heroic like the Maya Valkyrie. Especially those gauntlets! Kinda like Klaus but not a vampire or centaur.

Another dream would be a mermaid again I'm hopeful that FL will re-relase other fairyline sculpts like how they did with the centaur body. That would be awesome!

Oh and some big ole fairy wings too

@lully.lullers - I also want to see an elf! And I agree, I'm not really a fan of the winking or lip-biting faceplates. I also hope they continue the lookback series. Secretly I wish they would re-release Marcia, but I don't know that they will since she wasn't super popular to begin with. I would also really love a Dark Elf Soo. I'm still undecided if I want to re-shell my girl Felicity, but I have other characters in my head brewing and an elf sounds lovely. I'm so indecisive! I have enough saved for another doll, but I'm worried I'll miss out on the next event dolls that I might really like.

 

Elf definitely - no expression or vampire teeth! I jumped on that elf head that went with Phoeb. I don't think it had a wink or vampire teeth.

I really can't afford another doll right now but the chance to get a Minifee in a fantasy color is just too good to pass up! I hope there is a Elf head without extra expression stuff as well, i like their vampires but sometimes the teeth just stick out way too much imo. But I definitely am going to have to buy at least a blank doll if they're doing temporary fantasy colors haha

 

I also can't afford another doll right now, but the chance to get a clear smoke horse and a grey minifee is so exciting!! Going to make a storm cloud centaur for a theme I have going on with my unicorn dolls. I really want blue too, but I think I might have to pass up just because of money. We'll see. I really hope they keep re-releasing fantasy parts and exploring new colors. This is pretty exciting - I was thinking Fairyland felt stale for a while, but now they're exploring giving us what we actually want lol!

 

Does anyone know if Soo Dark head takes a 7-8 wig? I need a blank head to make wigs on and wanted to make sure its big enough. Thanks!

 

Coming in here to see all of the reactions to the gray and blue Minifee announcement. In my head this was never going to be an option, and for the first time in a while my wallet is scared I wonder if the other lines will get fantasy colors, and if they are planning an amazing release to show off the colors.. do we know when the event is typically launched?

 

I'm also juddering about the grey option! Fun money is tight right now though, so I'm going to have to sit on my hands, unplug the internet with my teeth, and settle for looking at everyone else's pictures in a few months.

 

I would love to see a Dark Elf Soo in fantasy colors!! I'll be interested to see if they are only releasing this color for a the 2 sculpts shown.
Does anyone know when this event will officially launch?

 

A vampire Hwayu or Jiyu in grey skin is so tempting, but I'm already knee deep in layaways and need to save up for a body. Might need to stay away from DDE for a while. For now, I guess I'll settle for looking at everyone else's dolls when they arrive.

 

Welp, I'm doomed I will need a blue boy, and maybe a gray one too. Double so if a new elf option head, or vampire, so so doomed. RIP wallet.

 

Apparently for the special skin tones they're only releasing 5 head options for girls and 5 for guys. So this went from exciting to disappointing pretty fast...

 

I saw that on Facebook as well. If I'm understanding correctly, there will be another release for the winter event. I'm excited to see which 5 will be able to get fantasy resin.

 

I'm excited to know too, just sure they're not going to choose the ones I want. I wonder if they'll bring back any heads for this or if they'll be from the existing pool.

 

Luckily for me, I have never been a fan of non-human skin tones. My credit card will thank me for this.

As the minifee hands are magnetic, you would have to buy an adapter for them too. But I haven't seen them for sale. You could ask Denver Doll for solutions.

 

It might be easier to get hands from LUTS. Cerberus Project, Fairyland's artist team, used to be some of the people behind LUTS, but they split off to make Fairyland. However a lot of the older hands LUTS offers as buyable parts are their old work or have the same style. Kid Delf size would be the 1/4 equivalent I think. Still the only catch would be they might be a bit big for Doll leaves or not.

 

Reading some of the comments on Kim Sunhwa's Facebook post, and it looks like soon there will be a survey/poll regarding discontinued heads for lookback releases! Hoping they will re-release Marcia so I can get a Fairyland faceup and a new a-line body with a perfect resin match.

 

I hope we get to see some minifee bunny legs back with the fantasy line too

heh, no heads for me = no need to worry about "aaah! grey skin! i need it!"

 

Ahhhh! Soo Dark Elf and an El Elf will be available!! I'm so torn!! I'm extra torn, because I would almost rather have a green skintone Soo Dark Elf, but I don't know what will be offered at the next event.

Edit - I just realized it's the Soo Dark Elf (A), which has different ears and an asymmetrical grumpy face, which is not my favorite. I might have to hang onto my dolly savings until the next event.

 

Yeah I have no reason to want blue or grey dolls so I'm safe!

 

It would be so exciting to get a grey skinned minifee! Kind of feeling like I have enough though. I'll need to think more on it.

Would one of you lovely Minifee owners be so kind as to let me know how well the body bends forward? Specifically the A line body. I am looking for something close to a fetal position even though I know I can't get the legs to go that way. Please if you have the time.

 

I'm not sure you are looking for minifee boy or girl, here's my SpKlaus on A line boy body.

 

Oooh I have the girl preordered. Now is that as far as they can curl forward? That's still pretty good especially for sleeping. Does the booty piece make it easier to move side to side? I'm just starting out so I have a LOT of questions.

 

Fairyland dolls sometimes have those lil cups in the hips to get a little bit more bending range- it's a geometry thing I am bad at explaining, but they are known for having really excellent engineering for posing.

Everyone on here is so darn helpful it makes me so happy.
I was going to get Lami and even preordered her so looks like I'm going to end up with 2 Minifee by the time I'm done. I thought Lami would be good for what I have in mind but Mirwen's face is almost a perfect match for Kenzie. Bah, still a long way to go before I can get access to the marketplace.
