The male Fairlyline body is hands down the absolute best of all the minifee bodies. I could never quite understand why people said minifees are great posers - they can't stand with their legs apart, they can't hug the legs to their chest... the male Fline body can do that with absolute no problem, and he doesn't even need an sueding since there are small kips everywhere.

 

Now I wish I could replace my boy's body, but of course he's in agra tan so that's not going to happen

 

@Yuns Agra Tan is so beautiful though. I hope you can add some posibility to him with kips.

@meanae Thank you for the advice. My only BJDs are minifees so I don't have experience with posing other dolls, but even with a A line Girl Minifee I struggle to get her to stand period. I don't know if it's those resin shoes, but I have one foot tacked onto the doll stand with blue tack, and then the doll stand grasping her thigh and that's how I keep her displayed. I feel like she would fall over if I even move her.

 

It is a beautiful color! Sadly I don't think kips would make any difference. He's hot glue sueded and it has only helped slightly. The parts that give me the most trouble are the head and legs and I don't think there's much to be done about those.

 

@Yuns I love tan dolls but I have never seen Agra Tan. I was considering ordering at the time but then never did. Do you have a picture of your Agra Tan boy next to a Tan doll? I would love to see the difference.

 

Sadly I don't! The only other tan doll I have is a dyed one. I can take a photo of him next to my NS girl, if that's any help?

Thank you for everyone that showed me what a tan and WS MNF looked like. Unfortunately, my finances won't be settled in time for me to get my tan Altis, nor the WS centaur body I was hoping to dye. So I think I'll poke around "places" and see if I can find the centaur body "elsewhere." I'll probably have to dye a WS Altis tan when I finally get him. Oh well.

So to make myself feel better, I think I'll post this backyard pic of Chiyoko that I took recently.

So... has anyone else gotten the Jiyu and noticed there's no name carved into the interior of the head?

I literally *just* finished unboxing mine (made a video but haven't posted it yet), and that struck me as super odd. And was super awkward as I recorded and found that surprise! The Sarang 2020 head did have the name though.

This is also my first male body from FL - I got it a la carte since the fullset was unavailable when I got around to doing that, so I got it on the same body as the FS--the motion line. I'm not sure I like this body as much? Tell me wonderful things about your Motion Line Boys and make my kneejerk impression feel better?

 

@jennaelf the new Fairyland sculpts typically don’t have the names carved in them if you get them right after they’re released. Not sure why exactly, but my Carol, Maya, and Honoka didn’t have them.

 

@dxgirly Oh! Okay! I hadn't realized that--I'm so used to event heads, I think.

 

@jennaelf & @dxgirly My Rens also doesn't have her name engraved in the head, but both my 19/20 Nanuri and Carol Vampire head do.

@carmarilla Sircca does not have realistic individually sculpted teeth or a distinct sculpted tooth ridge, if that is what you're referring to. Like nearly all slightly open mouth Minifees (Ria, Momo, even Hwayu minus the fangs), Sircca has just a completely flat bit of resin in the back of the mouth that can be painted in such a way to imply the upper teeth, like with the default/official faceup of Sircca and Hwayu from Fairyland for example, but they do not have any clearly defined upper teeth sculpting like that of Tika and Celine. With custom faceups some artists add that bit of tooth definition with paint, and some do not.
Reference comes from owning a Sircca of my own at once point and painting a few of them (and all the other aforementioned sculpts).

My (still nameless) girl has been spoilt rotten lately! I’ve been trying wigs on her, and these are the two I’m stuck between. I think I prefer the black, but the alpaca fibre has so many flyaways. The blonde is pretty too, and super soft, but I think the black looks much more striking with her blue eyes. Thoughts?

I've just ordered a tan Ria boy! So excited, I've been wanting one for ages! I have a couple more Fairyland dolls on my wishlist still but I couldn't afford to get them all, and honestly I'm not crazy about any of the event heads, I just had to snatch Ria up while tan is available. I'm a bit confused though as there was no shipping fee charged, I know they sometimes waive the fee but I thought that I'd have to spend a lot more for that. So, I'll be expecting them to get back to me with a fee in the next few days!

 

Congrats!! Did you order direct through from FL? I'd love it if they were having surprise free shipping...

 

@mademoisellelulu I have a Flam with black hair and blue eyes and I love the contrast too! Your girl is beautiful by the way. I hope to get that event head one day, it’s a great sculpt!

 

Yes, I'm in Ireland and my country wasn't on the list for EMS so I don't know what's going on with the shipping! I'm sure they'll contact me about it .I've ordered direct plenty of times before but I think things are mixed up cuz of the pandemic.

 

I have Rens in WS and the full set. I did keep it on her for a few weeks without any staining, but I put a piece of fabric between her legs and the black feathers because I thought if there was going to be a problem it would come from there. Not sure about the washing, I don’t see how that could work without ruining it.

 

I actually love how well the blonde matches her brows!

 

@greenfaerie Thanks for the heads up. Yes I didn't know how I would go about washing everything. I've had it on her for a little under a week now. I'm hoping to get some other clothes for her too so I can change her. I wouldn't want to get the feathers wet though in case they don't dry well.

 

I didn't check for a Fairyline specific thread, I'd like to know if the Fairyline FAUN leg parts fit the girl bodies; does anyone know?

It should fit the Fairyline Girl body because Erda's dragon parts also fit the Fairyline girl better than the boy. There were photos somewhere. Perhaps search the Waiting Room?

 

@Chibi Kitsune @Vakarian If your country is not on the list for EMS shipping FL will only ship to you if you choose Premium EMS shipping. You have to write to FL including your order number and they will calculate shipping for you. Premium shipping can be a lot but FL wrote back to me " when your order is ready to ship and EMS will start shipping as normal they will refund the extra cost" They will cancel your order if you don't pay within 10 days.

Hey hey--I hope I can jump in here like this. I'm eyeing Jiyu at the moment (and rather sad that I missed the fullset ha ha).

 

Well I finally caved and ordered a tan doll. I decided to go with Luka on the M-line body with the largest chest. She will be my first full tan Fairyland doll. Now to think of names and find clothes for her...

 

@aki_no_tsubasa I am so regretful that I missed Jiyu's full set too! It's so beautiful.
