@malvinas Thank you so much for the pics! What year is your Moe from? It seems like maybe the old feet are swap-able and the new feet aren't. I wonder what I would get if I bought a new magnetic part and A-line magnetic feet in the same order? I'm not for sure about doing this because I know the resin colors won't match exactly, but it is something I'm considering.

 

1) Get a pair of artery/surgery clamps (-> Surgical Clamps for sale | eBay)
2) Maybe get someone to help you.
3) Hold onto the lower leg and pull out ankle and feet (needs some force)
4) Use the clamp on the strings to hold them in place.
5) Get the ankle/foot part off, replace it with the other foot/heel part
6) Pull again on feet/ankle while holding onto the lower leg, and carefully remove the clamp.
7) done!

 

Oh wow! Now that I've decided to eventually get my Altis in white skin and to dye him, FL reinstates the tan skin option! He's going to be on layaway, probably through DDE.

If anyone has a tan or WS MNF, can you post a pic? Bonus points and e-candy if its is an Altis of either color!

It seems that I have less than a month to decide.

Now to clear up my credit card some...

@Mimi*Fee I have Moe girls from several years. That one is from 2015. I just tried it with my most recent Moe body which was an in-stock purchase from Denver Doll in 2018 (so it could have been at Denver doll for a little while) and the results are about the same.

@Ryuichi Sakuma 13 I think you should have the option to change it because FL had emailed me afterwards to say if I wanted to change my order to tan, send 50 USD per doll to their paypal with all the info. Have you tried looking on IG for tan MNF. They are pretty popular there and so so pretty.

Just ordered my first Minifee!! Saw Ria in-stock on Denver Doll and absolutely leapt at the chance since she’s been on my wishlist. She’ll also be the first doll I’ve ever gotten in-stock and not through preorder. The idea of getting a doll so fast seems so wild to me! I’m so excited I can’t sleep!!

 

I've been wanting a tan Ria for a few years now and think things are aligning for me to order one this time! I really love the shoes Kim SunHwa posted too though so I'll be hanging on til next week to hear more about them, wonder if they'll be event gifts or for sale?

I even decided not to look at FL website and mnf pics anywhere for a while to get over it xD I'm so glad i had this moment of weakness! Has anyone given a face up to their MNF Carol Vampire head yet? I have only seen one photo on IG, but am not sure if I love the teeth. I do love Carol's sculpt though.

@Puniko Could you possibly start a layaway with DDE before the summer event ends so you can still get her in tan?

 

@PeoniaDrop I'm in UK, no DDE here, i order directly from FL. Besides i will be able to do it now that they changed their mind and extended tan ordering time till end of the summer event ^^ Sorry for confusion, i guess my post was a bit too chaotic hehehe...

 

@Puniko I have a friend in Australia who still orders from DDE just to do layaway. I don't know how extensive the shipping is since I also personally prefer to order directly from FL. I hope you'll have enough time and can get her!

 

@PaeoniaDrop I actually asked DDE about shipping cost when i was ordering my FPL60 Carol 2 years ago and back then it was a bit more than what FL would charge, so i went with FL. Also, getting something from USA here means high customs charge guaranteed
But as long as the event ending time doesn't change, i will be able to get my tan Carol on time!
Unless someone robs my bank account. Or there's (another) world-wide cataclysm xD

 

@Puniko I can't wait to see her. She's so gorgeous. I saw someone selling a tan Carol on BJD addicts and she looked so beautiful with the face up.

@Ryuichi Sakuma 13 I don’t have any WS Minifees, but here my tan girls with some of my NS girls.

 

For those who own full sets, do you keep your girls in their full set clothing or change them to something casual? My Carol is sitting very naked at the moment and I'm not sure if I should redress her and display her in it or conserve the piece.

 

@dxgirly Which sculpt is the girl with the yellow/green/orange hair in the striped shirt? I love her eye shape so much.

@Lillyroos Your Eva is so beautiful! The full set will always remain my grail. Do you keep them in their flat feet because of the difficulty with the heeled feet posing?

 

Actually all my dolls are in heeled feet. I don't like the way the flat feet looks on the dolls. Heeled feet pose very wel.
Most of my dolls aren't wearing shoes because most of the times I don't like the shoes the full sets come in

 

Does anyone know how to best get MNFs to touch their lips? I have seen photos of it, but my girls can only bend to slightly below 90 degrees. Do you have to pop the elbow piece out to get more possibility?

@Lillyroos I don't know if it's cause my girls are loosely strung, but the difficulty standing them up drives me nuts.

 

Ah I'm so sorry to hear that. My dolls can stand up for when I'm taking pictures. But when I'm displaying them I always use a doll stand to make sure I don't nock them down accidentally.
If your Carol can't stand up by herself maybe you should contact FL. Or maybe some one here can give some advice to help you.

 

Are you using both elbow joints? If you do, it is very easy for a minifee to get her hand close to her face.

 

Do you guys think this new event head goes together with my girl style wise?

The elbow joint bends at both ends. For most of my dolls, I have to use two hands to get the lower piece to bend because it's typically "locked" into the straight position.

 

Somehow a week later tan was available in the a la carte again but just for a line Girls so I quickly ordered before they realised they made a mistake..

 

@captainkyo I think they look so alike they definitely will go together. I like the way the lips of the event head looks.

 

If she can’t stand I do think she is strung too loose. With my minifees I can make them touch their lips by bending the elbow and pulling out the joint just a bit for a mm of extra extention. But a bit of hot glue sueding in the arm pieces of the joint could make it easier to keep the pose. But it can even be done without doing that. If you want a good tutorial on restringing go take a look at kosomolski dolls on youtube. The poses she can get her dolls in after just a good adjusted restring are amazing. I need some practice doing it as well as her but I have definetly improved some of my dolls with restringing. Minifees are usually pretty good posers

 

They announced that the tan skin option will be available again for the event period. So, you did the right choice to grab her

 

@Luna_and_Stelladolls I think you are right about restringing because I have an older minifee that can pose much better, so she might be tight or loose. I am not sure how to tell which case it is.

 

What do you guys think of the new shoes?

I like them! I think it's a little weird that they don't offer them in normal skin.

They confirmed that it only fits A-Line :/

 

Could you possibly switch the ankle piece between the M line and A line so they would fit?

 

Does anyone know what the colours of the skates look like? Are they posted anywhere? lol.

From the names, it sounds like they'd be a solid pink, mint or white but dde's description talks about clear resin so i'm confused xD

 

@malvinas Do you know what year the new A-line came out? Because now I'm wondering if the difference in feet might be the old A-line body versus new A-line body, where the M-line and old A-line were swap-able but M-line and new A-line are not swap-able.

 

Does anyone have a Fairyline Rens full set and knows if the outfit stains or not? I just want to know if I should wash it after receiving it.

 

you can switch all ankles on all Minifee bodies. You just can't put a-line feet on moe ankles and vice versa, because the moe ankle is wider. By the way - A-line and fairyline are the exact same size, so they're swappable too.

Does anyone know if it is better to get silicon wig caps in 6-7 inches or 7-8 inches because I know Minifees can wear both sized wigs.

@meanae & @akiko0021 I will definitely give them a little wash in some vinegar and salt water to set the dye further. I just always worry about wrinkling the pieces. I wonder if anyone makes stain resistant body suits for MNF.

 

It depends on the head. Generally I'd say go with the smaller size, since you can stretch silicone Some heads, like Maya or Mika are smaller than the older heads like Chloe or Celine.

 

@meanae Thank you! I'll do that then. I hope that some of the 7-8 wigs will fit my girls if they wear a silicon wig cap.

 

To owners of minifee boys, do they fight you at every second too? My a-line girl is a delight to play with, I can get her into all sorts of poses and she's a treat to handle, I never struggle with her. My boy on the other hand, I often want to throw out the window He refuses to stand without a LOT of fighting, he's always trying to sit down, or his legs spin wildly (sometimes I'll fix their position, look to the side and when I look back they've spun again ), his knees buckle, and his head insists on either looking high up or way down, no in between. I tried hot glue sueding him but it hasn't helped. Is restringing my only option now or am I missing something about the minifee boys? I always see people say they prefer tightly strung dolls for better posing and I can still pull his parts apart so it doesn't seem like it's that but I can't imagine what else it would be.

 

I've used Leeke World's silicone cap in 6-7 (it may take a little work to get on the head) to help 7-8 wigs fit better on MNF heads.

 

Hi Yuns I have two minifee boys both a-line bodies and both have the same posing issues, I was told it was a design flaw or something. I haven't tried restringing yet but I did find hot glue sueding did help a little bit, for me. Maybe others might have better ideas because I'd like to know too.

 

I recieved my minifee honoka on monday and I'm completely enamored with her. She's just so cute!!

 

I'm going to be getting the Sylvia sleeping head in a split, and want to hybrid onto the male dream valley 3 arm body. I'm so excited! My first minifee (even if just a head).

 

@KimC and @Yuns now this makes me wonder if I should get the Fairyline Boy Body and hope for better. Though I have also thought about putting a minifee head on a MDelf Body.
