I really like the default male active line body hands, not sure which number they are, but they have a very all purpose relaxed shape and the right hand is loosely grip shaped so they can hold things:

Hehe thank you, but I cheated a bit with modding- you're right that Moira's body started out as a male a line so its a bit visually misleading, but I made her a girl. She'd make an adorable boy, though! I wonder if anyone has Mirwen boys we could see.. She's a Mirwen head on a modded body. I reshaped the waist part and changed the genitals and gave her breasts but she's not exactly curvy.

Moira makes a gorgeous girl. My niece used to practice martial arts and a lot of the older girls were very muscular and agile. It was amazing to see them in action. They were so fast.

I'm SO behind with pics! HI EVERYBODY!!!!!!!! long time no see.... i'm still around. Work has had me so fricking busy that my playtime has been all but non-existant. I've gotten some truly spectacular girls that I want to share with you all... First up is my little Juri 08. She is painted by culur (Leilah). I'm not sure what to name her - she has little beautiful crystals painted by her eyes, so I was THINKING of Bharani which means jewel in Hindu, but... I'm not sure. Hi there, sorry to butt in but I seem to be a bit lost...
I recently bought a Risse head and A-line body (separately) but when I received her today, I can't seem to get her head on her body... It's as if the hole on her head is too small or shallow to allow the neck piece to fit and so I can't actually turn and lock the piece. I couldn't find any other question like this, so I'm throwing myself before you guys and hopeful that you can tell me what I'm doing wrong

Is this the fairyline body? They wrote on their page that some heads wont fit and i think risse was part of it

 

@SteffiPuschel no, the listing says minifee.... I have a Mio as well and I checked whether or not she fit on the body (she does) and then I checked if Risse fit on her moe body (she does) so I wonder if it's a combo of the head being somehow too small and the neckpiece being too big.... But if so, is that something I can fix?? This seems really poor quality if they can vary that much... :\

 

@Buckybear I had the same problem with an event head, I managed to sand down the inside of the neckhole a bit and now its a good tight fit, it is not hard to do

Oh, that's a great photo! Thank you for sharing. I'm waiting for the Fairyline basic to open back up, and ALSO for tan to open up at the same time. I really want a tan skin Fairyline Karsh girl to go with my clear blue seahorse tail. (Though I'm thinking that a lot of the time, it's going to be more of a naga/slith/lamia tail, since I can easily see the Fairyland seahorse tails as snake tails if they don't have the side fins on.)

 

@Buckybear, My Risse has an A-line body and it is perfect. So maybe there is a small defect? Because it should fit. Like Sheenny said maybe you could try to sand it a bit. It looks like it doesn´t need a lot of sanding and sanded area is inside so it can not bee seen. But anyway it is a pity that they can vary that much.

 

Mercury (tan marcia) says HI. That top is a Barbie Curvy Body top - it's cropped on her but fits smaller bust minifees just perfectly!!

@Sheenny thata what I figured I had to do at this point ^^; Could you tell me which part exactly you sanded? And what kind of sandpaper? It looks like I've got a project to complete...

@Buckybear for me it was on the F-line, but I took off the neck part ( which might be harder to do with the A-line ) so I could easily see what bit didn't fit right into the neck hole. I opened the opening a bit completely, and the top bit ( the small opening near the chin ) i had to sand quite a lot, as that is where it didn't fit very well. I used fine sanding paper my dad has, but I have no idea what type it was

 

@Sheenny ahhh I see. I was trying to guess whether I should be sanding the inner part (inside the head) or underside of her head lol. That makes sense though... Thanks for your help, I'll probably go out and buy some fine grit sandpaper today

 

@Buckybear If you look inside the neck opening, I sanded the thinner edges around the opening, if that makes sense ( that looks like an I and an O together ) I'm not sure how to explain properly sorry! I'll see if i have a photo

Hey folks! I'm new to this thread, but I got in my minifee recently off the mp here. She will undergo a lot of modding soon, to become my Tank Girl. ♡ (will have Unoa faces that swap out)
For now, she is using the Marcia head that came with the set I bought. Hope to share more of her soon!

Does anybody have a picture of, or even an explanation of, the diff between the fairyLINE body and the A-line body?

 

Do you mean a difference in measurements or engineering? Measurement wise they're pretty similar (although the F-line currently has a wider range of bust sizes), but engineering they're completely different. In the F line the arms and bottom half are strung completely separately from the torso, making it easy to swap parts quickly.

 

I guess I meant in both - but that is still super helpful! thanks!!

 

So are the F-Line bust pieces the same (on the outside, I know there are internal differences because of the magnet system) as the bust options for the A-Line and M-Line girls? Or are there significant differences? I've had trouble finding comparison photos of what would be the equivalent bust sizes from each line.

 

I'm pretty sure FLine has a bigger high end bust, but might be remembering wrong. I can take measurements of mine this weekend.

 

Looking at them without having them side-by-side in photos, it also looks like the breasts on the M-Line and F-Line are shaped differently.

@sher there are quite a few differences The F-line currently only comes with the biggest bust, the same as I believe the M-line has. There is also a large bust and cutie bust, but they only came with sia so you'd have to find them on the secondary market ( maybe they will make them optional in the future ). Like said above, the F-line is strung differently You have the arms, torso and the legs. You can split the torso/legs and give her a tail ( also came with sia ) The F-line also comes with magnet normal feet. I hope this helps!

So after years of breaking from the bjd hobby, I've returned. I recently placed an order through denverdoll for a second Minifee. I'm a tad nervous however. Since I've been out of the bjd loop for years, I recently learned that their quality has been lacking and their wait times are agregious. To anyone who have recently gotten a new Minifee lately, has this been the case?

My mom just received my last MNF ; a Rheia make-uped by Xianthi (Put a photo couple of pages ago). But I can't see her until saturday, soooo long time haha.

My recent experience has been completely the opposite. My M Line minifee body arrived really quickly and with absolutely no defects and NO seamlines. Check the waiting list in the Wiki to get an idea of times (mine was 2 weeks in UK Customs, though)

I placed an order for a blank, tan Shushu and a Pukifee with face up from DDE in mid-April and received them in mid-May. I thought it was extraordinarily fast.

I won't lie: my Shushu has obvious seamlines, and they bothered me at first. However, I just see her seams as evidence of the inherent difficulties in working with tan resin, rather than of overall poor quality. (My 2016 NS Pukifee and 2014 WS Risse are virtually seamless.) Tia, my Shushu, is beautifully sculpted, poses like a champ, and is one of my favorites despite being very much a brat.

I hope you won't have long to wait and that your new MNF will be everything you hoped for!
