Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 58

Jun 1, 2016

    1. Such a tiny lovely flowers *_* @Sitar, I admire your work. Must have been difficult to create them...

    2. @Mylene that tan skin is sooo beautiful!! She's really rocking those colors too, I look forward to seeing more of her!
@RedRibbon It wasn't too bad, I didn't make the flowers themselves. I just bought a bag of them from Michaels and then threaded them onto headbands I had fashioned out of floral wire wrapped in floral tape. A little fiddly, but pretty easy once you get the hang of it! :) All three of my MSDs got one. And to think I almost went and bought some from Etsy...one more pic! :D

    3. I'd like to start this post off by saying that Raquel Clemente is a superstar. She is a wonderfully talented woman who works ever so diligently at making your vision come to life. This entire process was an effortless one on my part. I provided Raquel with a few reference images and from there she turned those images into a true work of art. I'm beyond pleased with the work that she did on my doll. When I was presented with the images of the finished faceup I was just in awe. I broke down in tears because I couldn't believe how she made my vision for Britney come to life so beautifully. I will cherish this doll for many many years. Thank you so much for all of your hard work Raquel. This means so much to me! Presenting Britney, a Tan MiniFee Rheia!

    4. Wow!! She is stunning!!

    5. She is absolutely awesome!!! I can't wait to see her all together.

    6. What a beauty :D :D :D I love every single detail about her <3 Hope you will share lots and lots of pictures of her :whee:

    7. One of the most amazing Rheias I've ever seen. I must admit I'm stunned ♡_♡

    8. I can't stop staring at her. Her eye shadow makes her eyes just pop!! Seriously-you are one lucky BJD owner! Bravo again to Raquel!

I can't wait to see her all dressed up with that faceup! So stunning!

    9. I love the delicate symetry of Britney's lower lashes - awesome!

    10. I am always in awe of the talent face up artists have. While my dolls have a few company face ups, most of my dolls have ones done by me. I'm in no way an expert or talented, but I have come a long when from when I first started in this hobby. Mine are good enough for me. Also, I don't think I could part with a head for a month + while waiting for a face up to be done. Waiting for a doll to come home is bad enough.

    11. I agree 100 percent with @LuckyXIII - I've come a long way too, but no way will I ever be able to produce lower eyelashes that look like Raquel's. Eyelashes are the first part of a face-up that I look at, if only because they are the hardest thing for me to draw. Raquel's work is awesome and absolutely fabulous.:abow: On the other hand, waiting for my doll's head to cross the ocean for a face-up and then waiting for it to come back would be more torture than I can stand.

    12. i agree with @LuckyXIII and @vermont chick. i do all my own faceups because sending them out of the country and back is just too expensive and takes too long, but i love seeing the work of real artists. it gives me something to aspire to, even if i know i'll never make it.

    13. @Meggethann - Thank you so much! I'm SO happy with her! I can't wait to see the silvery eyeshadow in person... Gahh I'm so excited! I will share an update photo as soon as I get her home! <3

      @Kacha - I can't wait to put her all together.. I'm SO excited! :D

@Diaspro - Thank you so much dear! I will definitely be sharing lots of photos of her once she comes back home! <3 P.S. I LOVE all of your dolls & the pictures you take of them! <3

@RedRibbon - Wow that's SO freaking awesome! hehehe... That made me smile so big. Thank you so much! <3

@Kirahfaye - I really don't understand how Raquel is so amazing with doing symmetrical lashes and brows... it's crazy. She's SO amazing! I'm so happy she got to work on my girl! <3

@LuckyXIII - I really don't understand how artists like Raquel do such fantastic work... I will definitely cherish this doll for many many years to come. It was hard waiting, but I think it was well worth the wait. I can't wait to see her when she gets home! :)

@vermont chick - Hey you never know... one day you might just surprise yourself! I'm sure that she and many others didn't produce A+ results over night. I can't even draw a stick figure... so for all of you that make art you amaze and wow me! <3

@auntbear - It does take a long time, but I think if it's something you really want ... it's worth it. We wait 3+ months for the doll, what's an extra month for a facuep? The wait was hard, but because I have another doll here it wasn't all that bad. :)

    14. @magneticobsession She's gorgeous! I've only recently been seeing Raquel Clemente's work, and it's truly stunning!

    15. Sorry for the horrendously late reply, I'm put of the country with limited internet access :) Her eyes are Soom silicon, but I have no idea which colour, because I received them with another doll and the seller didn't know.

Here's Floss enjoying our trip to the UK:

    17. @albeli - I'm just SO in love with her work & I feel so honored that she did the faceup for my doll... such a dream come true for me! <3

@Sitar - Yay, I'm so glad you like it! I'm super psyched about seeing it in person!

Hi, I haven't been here for a while, and I'm trying to re-learn how to share photos from the iPhone. I love seeing all the minifee, and the artistic abilities that different people have. It's so much fun to look at the different photos and get new ideas on things to do with your minifee. I'm new to Flickr, and have an iPhone. Could anyone tell me how to post pictures? I can't seem to figure it out...:(

    19. magneticobsession, WOW!!! She's stunning! Congrats!

    20. Your girl is very pretty.
I don't have an iPhone so not sure exactly how that works. With Flickr, you click the share button and click the BBC button. Then copy and past that code directly into this post. Not sure what your options are on the phone app though.

    21. as luckyxiii said you need the bbcode assuming you have already uploaded the pictures. i have android instead of iphone now, but with both of them, the problem i have is actually copying the whole string to be able to paste it. a lot of the time i can only capture part of the code so i tend to post to flickr from my phone , but use my desktop to post from flickr to here.

    22. @Brenay Your Liria is SO cute! I love how you styled her up! <3

@periwinklestars - Thank you so much! <3 I am uber psyched to see her in person! :D

    23. @magneticobsession your Rheia is beautiful. And so are your words about Raquel Clemente's work, I am sure it must be a real joy to work with someone as kind as you are. :):)

    24. @rebelle467 Aww you're so sweet.. thank you so much complimenting, Rheia! It really means the world to me that Raquel did her faceup. I cannot wait to see her in person! <3

    25. While digging through eyes for my new arrival, I found a pair I had forgotten about and put them into Ginko. They are grey like his other ones (and like he should have) but have a smaller iris so he matches his sister better now. He also stole the wig from my new boy and I like it much better than the fur one he had (and I now don't have to cut that one!s)

    34. You know what... I've just realised: no matter how many MNF molds you see you're always taken by surprise how stunning they can be. No matter how many face-ups you've been through, there's always something different, that unique look, a detail maybe, that makes our dolls exceptional. And that's what I love about this hobby ♥

    41. Your Mio is super cute with those ears!

    42. Hi Friends ,

first of all, sorry for my poor english :sweat

I received my first minifee . I ordered her with high heeled feet and I would like to know if shoes for 22" Tonner American Model dolls will fit to a minifee.
Thank you for helping me :)

    43. First off, welcome to the club! And yes, for the most part, American Model doll shoes will work with MNF high heeled feet. They aren't a perfect fit, but I have a pair of boots and a pair of heels for my Rendia's high heel feet and they look fine. Believe it or not, the issue is that the shoes are just a bit too long!

    44. Your Mio is too cute! :aheartbea

    45. @wrxgal - Your Liria and Chloe are very very beautiful! Raquel Clemente is NO joke ... She is a faceup BOSS! <3

@crazykimochi - I always love seeing your sweet girls and Vienna is no exception. She's absolutely gorgeous! She seems to love Chrom a lot! Welcome to the Kimochi family, Chrom!

@rebelle467 - I can see why you adore Sophie and Imogen so much... they are SO freaking cute! I just want to give them both a big ole hug! <3

    46. Thank you very much for your answer. I 'm looking for boots . I saw a lot of shoes for American Model Dolls and they look so beautiful !!!:)

    47. I'm thinking of a future doll and was wondering if anyone has successfully hybridized a Moe boy torso on a female Moe body or a regular Cutie bust on a Moe boy body. I'm guessing the waist part won't match, but am being hopeful. In the event my plan won't work, could anyone show me a Cutie bust on a Moe girl body?

    48. You Chloe is gorgeous! And I like the wig color!
Still dreaming about Chloe but can't chose which to order - Tan or NS :)

    49. most of them do though there are a couple that don't. if you look on this thread it may help you find out all your options

    50. Thank you so much auntbear. this link help me so much :)

    51. My girl arrived! Here is a quick snapshot I took with my phone as I had 2 other arrivals today. Now that I have everyone open and checked out I can spend some TLC time on her. Her face up is SO shimmery! I tried to capture it with the photo but only a fraction of it showed up.

    52. Question for you all: what MNF sculpt do you think would make a good "grown up" version of an LTF Rachel? I'm debating between Karsh, Kai, and Rendia (perhaps with a little modding) at the moment, but would love other suggestions. I already have a Mirwen as this character's mother so I don't want to use that sculpt.

Here are the mother and daughter in question:

    54. Between those three I feel like Kai is the best fit, however have you considered Luka? Their eye shape is similar and they both have the slight smirk to them.

    55. here's my luka girl wearing a dark wig if it helps

    56. I'm not sure if my question(s) was overlooked or perhaps no one knows (haha), so I thought I'd ask one more time just to be sure.
