Does anyone else have any SUPER rough or deep seams on their MNFs? This girl literally grazed my hand because I didn't notice one of her unsanded/deep seams on her arm My Celine has basically zero, so I wasn't expecting it at all lol. I kinda wish the seller had told me, even though she was a great price so I won't complain any further haha

 

Thank you, @designedforsmiles! I'll be posting here a lot more once I decide which MNF girl to buy next. I was pretty set on Chloe (as her and Rheia are often paired as sisters), but I've always been a huge fan of Eliya so I'm trying to see if the two look related enough to work. What do you think? Have you ever seen how Rheia and Eliya looks together? Doesn't seem like Eliya has ever been a popular sculpt compared to others.

She looks awesome, @Loodles! I love dots. Her lips really compliment her wig, too.

i have nth dolls and will try and take a photo o for you. My Eliya has her eyes modded though. Eliya is one of my favourite sculpts and yet she was one of the last minifees that I bought!

 

So several months back I bought a VE Chloe on the marketplace and while I loved her how she was, I decided to send her off to the spa to make her more "mine". I sent her and my blank tan Celine head to Eludys and I'm sooooo excited to get them back! They should be shipped out to me soon Anyway, I'm very pleased with how they both turned out! I need some advice about the beauty white resin. I have just got a very old (2008) white b-line body and want to get a head. My character is very north pole/ Icelandic /Scandinavian almost albino colouring inspired so I like the idea of the white skin. I have found a Halloween head on the marketplace made in 2014 and the seller says that it is 'a yellowed head, green than other BW head'
What does this mean, how green is it likely to be? Should I take a chance or should I be patient and carry on looking for a ws head for sale.

 

Can you ask photo of the head ?
I also have a older body than my head (RFA head and 2014 body) and the match is awefull... So, ask to see a lot a photos, possibly with another FL product

[MENTION=67272]Nightshade[/MENTION], I have a 2007 ShuShu in beauty white who originally came to me with a 2010 body. The body yellowed, or rather greened, much more than the head (MSC UV, I'm guessing). I crossed my fingers and got a 2013 BW body off the MP and it's a very good match to my ShuShu's head.

 

Just thought I'd post these for anyone who hasn't seen yet she looks incredible and her face has really grown on me :3

When I checked their site, none of the "unavailable" sculpts were open for the last tan event. They have been closed the entire time from everything I've seen, I have a friend who is stalking them for a DES so we are always checking this.

Lilith's head arrived today! I panicked for a second when I opened her because for some reason I thought she was really small, but after putting some 16mm eyes in her and throwing on Iris' 7-8 wig, I realized I was worrying over nothing.

As you can see, she doesn't fit on Iris' body, which is an a-line from 2012, but I have a 2015 a-line body on the way right now. She should be compatible with newer bodies, right? The head is from 2014, so it should fit on a body that is 1 year younger. I'm just nervous that she won't fit for some reason. Does anybody here have a Soony on an a-line body?

 

If I recall correctly, the MNF Soony event heads had this problem, so Fairyland sent out new heads to those who complained. It seems every event head has some sort of problem fitting on the neck. My elf Yder has a layer of glue on her neckpiece to keep her head from bobbling around.

 

Ah damn. I messaged FL to ask if the old heads were on schedule to come back, and if they had a more accurate date for when to expect them.
Their reply wasn't very hopeful. They said there have been delays to the work needing to be done one them, and they have no impending plans to re-release them, despite us entering the autumn period in which they were to return.
I guess late autumn to early winter for their return now.

Vanille, congrats on getting your TS Chloe. Are you going to do the face-up yourself, or is she going for another trip sometime in the future?

Spoiledshells, your VE Chloe is beautiful. I love Eludys' work. Especially on vampire teeth for some reason. Part of what made me fall for the VE Shushu that she sold to me.

Eliya was the first MNF sculpt that I ever fell for, which is why I'm really hoping she could work for my Rheia's sister.

 

Re Brown eyes: I recommend getting a pair from MehiArt. I was struggling for a while to find good brown eyes for my Withdoll MSD, and the pair she made for me is amazing. Custom brown with silver/gray streaks in my case, but her solid color eyes are gorgeous too. And I really like that she will do a 12mm pupil size in a 14mm eye, as I like the look of a smaller eye but this way there's no gapping when I put it in the bigger socket.

I'd really like to get a pet for my dolls, but it'll be a while because I just got into bjds and am already up to 3 Minifees and 2 Littlefees. But someday...

 

I've heard there's a mod you can do to make the head/neck work, but someone will have to enlighten us. Soony is one of my favorite sculpts.

 

[MENTION=45043]Kirahfaye[/MENTION] I was talking to some people on the BJD Addicts Facebook group about it and the general idea seems to be that on newer bodies, people haven't had the issue with cutie/small bust a-line bodies, but the issue usually happens with large bust bodies (which is what I have on the way). Some have said that they just needed to sand down the area that the neckpiece is supposed to slide into under the head behind the chin. Apparently it's not too difficult, but I'm trying to to get too worked up about it until her body arrives and I figured out exactly that issues I have, if any.
Soony is probably my favourite CP sculpt. I just sold my old Delf Soony because she was too big and the old Luts headcaps were complicated, so I'm so thankful that she's available in smaller sizes now.

Regarding Soonys, I have three! My first one only fits on my A-line body but doesn't fit on my moe line body (which is the smaller bust of the two). My most recent Soony fits on both bodies. When I asked about this previously someone did say that it was possible to mod the neck opening. However, as I have both bodies I just changed her character slightly to fit the taller body. So hopefully if you have ordered a newer A-line body it should fit.

I just received the Mirwen head I purchased from Wovenflame. I'm calling her Mira.



The Tibetan sheep wig was purchased specifically for her, but the hard cap is a bit loose, unlike the wig I bought for Cece. Any ideas how to make a hard cap fit better?

Someone mentioned Mako OWL-004 earlier~ I was also on a quest to find brown eyes for Brink, but had very little luck when it came to Mako~ Ultimately, I settled for OWL-004 because they're so pretty! Not exactly brown-brown, more.... gold-brown, lol. (Zephii is wearing DAN-012 with black pupils for reference)

I love how Zephii's eyes compliment her hair, [MENTION=29212]crazykimochi[/MENTION]. May I ask if the OWL-004 you use in Brink is pure gold/brown? It almost looks like there's a hint of blue around the pupils.

Vanille, your tan Celine is beautiful. I think I'm gonna get suckered into buying her in tan, too. That'll be the first (but probably not the last) doll that I'll own two of.
My airbrush arrived in the mail today, but I wasn't home, so I'll have to pick it up tomorrow. Then I can start practising with it and soon be able to do my girls' face-ups.
I'll be in Kamloops for the (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend, and since that place is a desert I might try to do at least one there to take advantage of the dry air.

Thank you for your advice. I decided to take a chance and see if the head will work. I have to give the body a baking soda bath anyway as it is a bit unevenly yellowed and I am going to hope for the best.
The b-line body is a bit 'wider' than the a-line so I am hoping that the head doesn't look too small, I also hope the head actually fits on the neck piece.
I also realised that there are not a lot of BW heads available on the marketplace.

There are some lovely girls being shared in the photos, it fuels my addiction to Minifees, I need a Chloe and maybe the new seahorse/mermaid but I have to be strong, I have a boy to finish and am trying to save up for a body for my RFA head. I am going to have to rob a bank or sell a kidney

 

[MENTION=67272]Nightshade[/MENTION], I actually don't have any photos of my ShuShu in her newer A-line body, but we've had almost constant clouds and rain for the past couple of weeks with no end for a while yet (I love Georgia weather.........). I did a baking soda and peroxide bathe on her old Luts B-Line and the improvement was astonishing.

 

Man i saw a tan liria in person recently and she was gorgeous. I love that sculpt xD.
