Yeah minifees stole my heart this year and now I have a small army of bodies and floating heads lol. I have no kids but 2 dogs, a chinchilla, 4 fish, 2 snakes, 4 geckos, and 30 chickens. And a lot of dolls lol. I'm glad we're all busy and have time to play with this awesome hobby. I like to think it'll keep me young forever[emoji4]

 

I still love dolls and toys and children's books. I agree, I think it helps keep me young. My youngest is 9 and she brings her dolls into my room and we have doll time together.

 

I wish my daughter was 9 again, she was the one that started my love for dolls again and introduced me to BJD's. She is 13 going on 18 lol, and I miss our dolly time together.That is one of the reasons I haven't been as active with my dolls. Now that Halloween is around the corner and it's been another passion of mine, BJD time will have to take a back seat for haunted dolly time.

Oh my, I am so mad, I've been waiting for 7 months for my first Minifee's faceup (and 3 other faceups as well) and the faceup artist hasn't done it and she can't at the moment !
She has done 2 faceups out of 4, she doesn't keep me informed, keeps telling me that she's going to do it next weekend and then nothing for months !
And now she tells me that she doesn't have time at the moment !!!

So I've asked her to send my heads back, what a waste of time !!!
And My Minifee was my first Minifee (a tan Mirwen), I've spent 7 months with a useless Minifee body and no head to put on !
In the meantime, I have bought another Minifee (RFA) and YOUPLA has painted her in just a few days !

I am so upset, is it me or do you also wait for such a long time for your faceups (without any information and without warning that the delay would be so long) ?
Sorry but I had to vent my feelings...

 

Puppedoll Unless they clearly state that the time will be over 7mnths for a commission to be finished, if not then that is TOTALLY unacceptable!!! I would be furious
I would make sure she gives you a refund and refunds you shipping fees also and then I would leave negative feedback (after you receive your dolls safely).
Sorry but keeping someone waiting that long is just ridiculous, don't take on commissions if you cant commit to them!
Rude people like that really P me off!

 

My Chloe is already in germany. I hope she will come monday or thuesday. She was given to GLS which didn't work on saturday..
I hope they wouldn't leave the package in front of the door where everybody can see it from the street like they did once with a another package. Luckily nothing happens..

My Soony's body looks like it will be delivered today or tomorrow! And her head should arrive sometime this week as well. But then she's off to get a faceup so there will be at least a month more waiting. At least my Ryeon should be back from her faceup in the next couple of weeks so I can finally start taking pictures of her again!

My chloe is here. She is sooo pretty. She already come with a faceup of Nomyen. So gorgeous. But im really disappointed by the quality of the resin. Visible seamlines and roughly sanded. Small tiny scratches when you did a lazy sanding job.. actually for this price i expeted something more perfect. But she is really pretty. Pics will csme at the weekend i think. To busy atm

My husband thinks that I play with dolls so much as we have two boys and not the much desired girl. Obviously, if I did have a girl I'd be playing with my dolls just as much! It's shocking that your make-up artist has taken to long. Has she posted them out to you yet. If it was someone on DoA make sure you leave them feedback just to say that the commission was cancelled due to the appalling length of time taken!

I love Mako eyes and your girls look divine. I'm really cross with them at the moment though as I can't recall my username and I've sent them two emails and had no reply. I can't open another account using the same email so my only other option is to use my husband's email but then he'd see how much I was spending!

Thank you so much. I already have a freckled Soony but when I saw this one by Eludys she was just perfect, so now there are two freckled Soonys in the house! I do like Amber too. I really need to make a decision! I am sure I had thought of a name for her but I just can't recall what it was!


?? There don't appear to be many Chiwoo boys around. Is he an unpopular sculpt since it's an older one? If you have one, please show him/her off!

On a side note, I can't wait for the old sculpts to come back. I really want to get a SP of DES and get her modded. Hopefully someone is waiting to order a DES so I can tag along with an order of an SP.

 

For all the Chloe owners out there~ What size eyes would you recommend? I already have a NS Chloe but I can't for the life of me remember the size of the eyes she currently has in LOL

I have a tan Chloe on the way and she'll need new eyes... What size would give her the normal bug eyed look? And which would give her a more normal/natural look? Any photos would be amazing help ! Also, any tips of where to find some Mako type eyes (why don't they offer Owl style brown eyes ?!) but golden/brown coloured would be awesome

 

For Chloe the 14mm Makos give her the "bug eyed look" whereas the 12mm eyes give her the more normal look.
For brown mako's I've actually made a list of the ones that will appear brown (despite their lack of brown appearance in the stock photos)

Those are all brown. SA-001 is a more hazel colored eye.

You can also ask Mako to make the Dandelion eyes with a black pupils (which pretty much makes them the same as the Owls) and so then DAN-006, DAN-005 and DAN-008 should all be brown, too.

This thread has lots of pictures of Mako eyes and discussions about their colors. Pages 4, 5, 6, 8, & 16 have lots of pictures of brown eyes, and some other pages discuss the OWL-005s being kind of brown.

Haine is wonderful. Minifees are addictive, I am working on my fourth and fifth ones at the moment.

I am surprised that the RFA head seems so much smaller, one more payment and then mine will be on her way, I am so excited.

Sadly, no Juri/Nanuri returns; they're talking about the older sculpts on the a la carte page that have been removed "due to maintenance reason." (Soo, Chiwoo, Lishe, El, Ari, Shiwoo, Shushu, Ruth, Marcia, Carl, and DES) They were removed from sale in the spring, iirc, with very little information except that they'd return some time this fall, so hopefully they'll all be back soon!

 

They are upgrading the magnet system in the heads. I wouldn't think it would take that long to do, but if they need to resculpt the heads as opposed to just putting more holes into the molds, then I can see it taking awhile. It doesn't help that they are doing an endless line of events and are burying themselves under it all.

 

They have to modify the original sculpt to fit the magnets (the heads are different if you compare magnets to non-magnets). Then they have to create the master mold from the new sculpted head, THEN they can finally start casting and creating more casting molds.

Also, I believe they are compiling a new album for default faceups. They had mentioned it in the past, so I believe while they have those molds "unavailable" they are also deciding on a default faceup as well as taking photos of the default faceup.

 

Does anyone have pictures of the default faceup that risse comes with? I'm wanting to order but I'm not very confidant in my faceup skills and I'm not sure I'd even have the time to do it depending on when she would arrive, but the default is pricey... any help would be much appreciated!

Another question I have is how much the posing ability is affected on the moe-line without the waist joint compared to the a-line With the waist joint? I'm flipping back and forth between the bodies trying to decide which I want, and this is one of the things I'm stuck on

Pretty much, although I don't think the magnets are the part that's holding it up so long. My Rheia came with magnets in her head, which she didn't have when she was first made. Same with either my Chloe or my Celine.
I think the magnets are easy to add to the sculpt, but I think they said that the old sculpts master molds had become so used that there was damage to them, so they're having to completely remake the master molds for each sculpt, which I guess will take extra time with the damage.
Plus as you said they're re-doing the default face-ups for those molds.
I wonder if they'll launch them all with all new fullsets, too?

[MENTION=51145]Vanille[/MENTION], I have had the same problem and also for my tan Chloe! It seems that brown eyes are hard to find. I actually started a discussion thread asking for recommendations as I just couldn't find any brown eyes in stock anywhere!

 

My girl's Oscar eyes arrived today and they're absolutely gorgeous.
The faceup artist said that she's leaving town on Friday, so she should be in the mail sometime this week. I'm so excited!

Can anyone share a photo of the Halloween day head next to another Minifee head, I am trying to work out the size as it seems narrower than other sculpts. Thank you in advance.

 

Here you go! This is a photo of my Halloween event head on the day I got it next to my 2008 Shushu. Older sculpts like Shushu have slightly bigger proportions and wider faces than current sculpts like Celine, but the Halloween head is pretty narrow.

 

Word on the street is that at least a few of the "unavailable" sculpts were available during the last tan period. Which makes me super mad because I wanted a tan Marcia and that would have been my chance to get her. I found out that the regular F60 body was available too which I know people have been waiting on as well and I guess FL was trying to minimize orders or something but it would have been nice to have gotten her.

I find eye size to be a personal preference. I prefer 14mm for my chloe girls.

Well Halloween head will have to get poofy hair and just not sit right next to my Shushu.

Now that Sparrow finally has her own body after a few years, I got her painted up properly. I went with a dramatic reddish face up since she's my little fire witch. There is also orange and orange-yellow colors too but they are harder to see. I may add a bit more to her face up, and I still need to do her body, but here she is for now.

Yours may well be 16mm. I think it's a bit unusual to go that large, but it doesn't really seem that much bigger than the 14mm, so why not?

AaloriRian, I think I checked to see if the sculpts were back, or at least DES, when I ordered during the last period, but at least when I looked she wasn't in the list. I don't see any of the sculpts in the waitlist, but that list seems to only be a very small representation of the FL orders, so maybe they did have them sorta back.
That's too bad if you missed out. Hopefully they bring back most of their stock, soon. It seems the Feeple crowd has it the worst for availability.
At least the tan events are happening much more often now.

 

I finally finished my third face up ever on my Ante... She's body snatching at the moment since my other girl is getting her faceup on. She's fae, but hasn't told me her powers yet. I still need a name for her too.

 

I like her look! I'm also waiting to order my girl's best friend in October. I'll cross my fingers for you too.

[MENTION=51145]Vanille[/MENTION] - My Chloe wears 16mms as well, a lot of the MNF sculpts come with 16mms as their defaults. Depending on preference, a lot of people change their eyes to 14mms, some to 12mms.
All of my MNFs still wear 16mms, I like the large eyes.
