Fairyland LittleFee Discussion Thread - Part 34

I love Jack Straw & ur kiddo is so adorable @Dollquest (& ugh yes I've been eyeing that JS @ DDE.....but I must resist lol)

 

Thank you and I know! He had been there for so long! I can’t believe he has not been snapped up but the FL picture does not do him justice! That’s why I always like to see owner’s pictures.

He actually doesn’t. I had to go back and look at the picture. It is the light shining on the gloss that makes it look that way. I need to adjust my lighting. I’ve been getting that a lot lately.

 

Quick question: roughly how long does it take for Fairyland to ship blank LittleFees? I haven’t ordered a brand-new doll straight from a company in quite some time.

 

Fairyland dolls have been taking between 4 - 6 months to arrive from the time you order.

 

Welp, I am panic buying a DES in normal skin since I do not have one in that color yet.
If I had a money tree, I would be buying a few more ... a white one to make into a vampire and another normal skin to mod the eyes into an Angel Elf Soo. Hopefully DES is not on the chopping block and I can get them later.

 

DES are such a classic sculpt I hope they keep them around too. I love seeing them when they pop up. Be sure to share photos when she arrives!

 

I fully don't expect either of these to survive the culling; my first two LTFs and probably my most underrated ones, Luc (modded Piki) and Akane (Big Pukisha) (and sorry for the terrible photo, it's the only one I could find with both their faces)

 

@Dollquest it's so nice to see your Jack, he looks so much cuter in your photos than in his official ones.

@acidquill thank you, that's one of the reasons I chose her although it has made styling her a bit of a pain as there's a lot that just doesn't look right on her.

I don't know if anyone here has any clout with Fairyland but a suggestion may be to hold polls once or twice a year on the discontinued sculpts and then for a limited time have say the top 3 available for a limited time again. I know they've held polls on discontinued lines before.

 

Prop alert! Great new 1/4 prop at Michaels! Last year they had 1/3 sized Adirondack chairs, and this year they are smaller and perfect for 1/4 props! Got the watermelon mat at Michaels as well.

 

Well we never did get that list! I'm so glad i ordered my elf el. Speaking of, her last layaway payment is this month!
I'm so excited to have her home after not having a littlefee in so long.

 

I see on the Fairyland website that they have the one I want but DDE does not. I prefer to go through DDE as I can layaway and pay each month and I don't trust PayPal. I sent an email to DDE to see if they could get her in normal skin with the sleeping faceplate for me and I'd put the first payment down next week when I get paid again. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can get her.

 

My littlefee ante made it to California, only to be randomly sent back to Colorado. Has anyone experienced their package being returned to Denver Doll? And if so, do you know if I will need to pay for her to be shipped again back to me?

 

I cannot imagine DDE making you pay again. It likely had to do with the address or paperwork not being clear.

 

I also doubt they’d charge you again but I would reach out to DDE to see if they can tell you what happened. They answer emails pretty quickly and often even answer the phone during business hours.

My little fee ante is here! So far, I'm a little unsure about the size, but she is an amazing poser!

 

Beautiful! I think you'll find the size very fun to dress or sew for and I think they're perfect for taking outside or posing in dioramas. Small but not tiny.

 

Llama says that this size of Ante is indeed the best, but I think she's a tad biased.

I just saw that you’re talking about littlefee being discontinued… How do you know that? Will it never be back? I really wanted to buy cygne but she isn’t in stock anymore

 

Fairyland added the update to the very end of their announcement for their MiniFee Pheob event. Most people wouldn’t have caught it unless they wanted to participate in the event, so many found out here or through other social media. The situation apparently is that the molds need maintenance and they’re planning to re-release at a higher price point and with some of the 30+ face plates discontinued; the issue is that they never disclosed which ones, so everyone panicked and bought their favorite(s). Denver Doll Emporium was supposed to get a list, but it looks like they never did.

Speaking of which…DDE happens to have some NS LittleFee Cygne girls NS in stock, actually! They also implied they’ll get more LittleFee in the event of the discontinuations.

Wow! I haven't been into tiny BJDs much, except for the 3 I have from years back. I think they're super cute though. Every once in a while I take a look at the RealFees & LittleFees on DDE and just found out the LittleFees are retired, for now! So, I ordered the blank Madeleine that DDE had in stock. FOMO is real, obviously. Now, I'm excited for this little one

Bonnie has been in my collection for 9 years, but she's from the first tan event from 2013, so she predates CoAs. She's perfect as the daughter of one of my other dolls (OT for this thread, my DZ tan Stramonium), and yes her right hand is supposed to look like bone.

 

@IzabethS - she is so cute! I'm trying to save up for a different doll, but in stock is so tempting! I most recently ordered a mnf DES, so they could be sisters.

Are all DES kiddos so dramatic? Morgan arrived and was obviously not going to be a sweet little girl...I'm sure she's plotting now to get me to make her a pirate queen because somehow being queen of the fey won't be good enough .

Hello everyone I don't post often, but wanted to share the 1 photo from like 50 that came out 'ok' when I took Ivy (LTF chiwoo) To the woods and fields with me

Ivy gets forgotten I must confess, but she was my first ever tiny so has a special place in my heart Gone threw a few character changes xD Have you guys changed/adjusted your ltfs names/characters at any point?

 

She's a cutie! And yes all the time. Does my littlefee even have a name anymore? Her character changes a lot.

i've wanted a littlefee cygne for three years now and i'm trying so hard to resist buying one in-stock on dde right now...

the only thing holding me back is that it comes with the fairyland faceup and i wanted a blank face so i could get a custom faceup done. but the faceup can always be removed right? i'm so conflicted on what to do omg

 

I don't want to be an enabler, but Cigne is one of my favorite and I have her with her FL face-up.

YES! CPFairyland's faceups can be removed and a new faceup done. Faceup artists will charge a bit more to remove a pre-existing faceup unless you remove it yourself. Personally, I'd let the faceup artist remove it unless you already have all the tools and supplies needed.

If I were you, I'd buy that in-stock Cygne. (She's GORGEOUS!) CPFairyland has retired Littlefees with no re-releases planned. Even with a re-release, it's possible that Cygne would not be offered.

Well, I must thank you all for talking about instock dolls at DDE. I went to look at Cygne but they had a Leah in stock! I sold my Leah to a good friend years ago and I have missed her. So I snapped her up!

 

Yes, this thread is good for that! I have a Leah and a DES coming Monday because of the discussions here!

 

I *think* they're only discontinuing some of the sculpts, not all. If I read the announcement correctly, they're probably redesigning the bodies like they did with the Minifees a couple of years ago. I hope so, anyway, because they're a perfect size to both take places and sew for. I, for one, would love to see a LTF version of Iset.

@lovegarden. this is Siobhan, my Cygne, modeling an outfit I made a couple of months ago. It's based loosely on an eveningwear style from the early 1900s.

@Answer42 thank you! i'll just have the faceup taken off by the artist then and i think i'm going to go for the cygne!! i'm super excited since i haven't owned a bjd since 2015, and i was in middle school then so i didn't really have the proper resources to maintain a bjd and ended up having to sell both of mine. now i'm an adult with a steady income and can actually justify getting a bjd this time!

@LadyMadrigal i think so too. i don't think cygne is at risk of being discontinued since she's more recent, but i don't want to take any chances. plus in the announcement it said they would be back with a price increase, so i'm just going to snag mine now. when pukifees were temporarily discontinued it took 3 years for them to come back and i don't want to wait that long. also your cygne is gorgeous!! i don't have any experience in sewing but it's such a cool skill to have.

update: i just placed my order on dde!!!! i'm so excited

i did!! i remember back when i got my pukipuki i preordered it and it felt like it took forever to get here, so i'm glad i went with an in-stock doll. she shipped already and is on the way to me!!

 

I think my favorite version of Cygne is the Littlefee version! Definitely a good idea to snag an in-stock doll. I've learned the hard way that FL can be very erratic with their releases, and once something is discontinued all bets are off. *coughFeeple70cough*

It took about 5 months but my LTF Chiwoo boy arrived a few weeks ago, and it's been a long time since I opened a doll and had "love at first sight", especially blank! I can't wait to get him painted. But I think he wants a friend, so hopefully FL won't take too long to bring LTF back. Maybe we'll get a list of discontinued sculpts soon, at least. ^^

 

my cygne is here!! i've actually had her for a while now but wanted to get better pictures before i posted her here. that didn't happen so these ones from right after i unboxed her will have to be good enough for now. she has clothes, eyes, and wigs on the way from taobao right now and i can't wait!!
