He is! He's an actor named Joe Wiegand who specializes in the role of Theodore Roosevelt; he also does a one-man show in a small historic town in North Dakota, and takes photos with attendees afterward. He was a great sport about taking some photos with Akane, and was pretty fascinated by her, too.

The thread is quiet, I wonder if our LTF peeps are on vacation. No vacation for Troop Tiny this year, but Ronni went to Disney with me a few years ago, and she got mouse ears as a souvenir.

Finally got my Nanuri17 faceplate painted and I'm totally smitten with her. I asked Vittavera to make her a spring/summer fairy and I love how she turned out.

Long time BJDer, but newer to LTFs, and I am confounded.

All three of my LTFs have no torso hook, and the hook in the head is pinned in the headback and then CLAMPED shut around the elastic.

How the heck did Fairyland even string them?? And aside from doing a neck mod, how can I even resting them with that stupid neck hook being unable to detach from the elastic?

My only thought would be to cut the elastic, put a hook through the neck crimp and then another in the torso, and then string... but at that point, they would be mostly s-hooks and like an inch maybe of elastic. Would that even work?

Any ideas?

 

I honestly think all LTF are like that - I don't have a single one that I can remove the headback of. But there will be someone who can help - I do know that people have unstrung them before - but I wouldn't know how they would then reattach the headback!

When/where did you get your LTFs? I just spot-checked three of mine (2008, 2014, 2015) and all of them had a hook securing the strings in the pelvis. The hook clamped in the headback is normal; I've always just left the strings attached when I'm taking mine apart for body-blushing.

 

One was from 2013 purchased by her original owner direct from FL. Another is a complete mystery as I got her from Yahoo Japan, but she had her box and her default faceups, so I am certain she is legit. My Hwayu came in March of this year with no hook as well.

From what I am hearing it is completely random as to how these are being sent out. I just happened to end up 0/3.

Ah, no worries, I was actually thinking they may have been restrung by previous owners without the hook for some reason, nothing about the legitimacy, though I can see how it could be read that way. I'm really curious now, might check the rest of mine when I get home. Do you have any photos of how yours are strung?

 

I will try to get some later this weekend. I need a third hand!

Very sweet girls, their new outfits are precious. Who is your big sister? Is she a Honey31 Delf?

 

The big sister is a Lati Green Coco. Those have not been manufactured for a long long time.

 

LOL, I actually went to Lati first but didn't see a face that was similar in the Green line so HD31 was my next guess because she looked a bit like a CustomHouse and I know Luts has those molds.

For a long time, Lati was one of the few companies that had Yo size dolls openly available, along with Leeke and CH. Luckily companies like Bambicrony, Rosenleid, and Fairyland began with a focus on the smaller end of the BJD scale so that those of us who loved this size had more choice.

 

@Tonboko aaah your Hwayu is gorgeous!

Does anyone else have Hwayu pics? I'm considering getting her. I just crawled out from under a rock, haven't been in the doll world in years, and then one of the first things I spot is a cute little vampire elf?

Thanks ! Yes, I saw that one post, from Tonboko. I adore her ;A; I was wondering if anyone else got her as well Been watching unboxings and pics on IG all afternoon ahha, can't get enough x) Most of them are fullset, I'd love to see other faceups and clothes if possible! (but I take it she's fairly new, so maybe not a lot yet?)

I normally would not care to get sleeping faces, but my DES came with one, so I needed to have Hwayu have one too so they can have naps and slumber parties.

Her eyes are from BJDHopeEyes. I was super lucky and made it into the last preorder they did.

And this photo! I just got the Cygne outfit in yesterday, and have plans to get another DES and mod her into a vampire version. This is gonna be her outfit. It is sooo hard not to stick it on someone else, but the last time I did something like that, the outfit was stolen by the doll trying it out. I will not have that happen! This outfit is meant for future dolly!

I have a weirdly specific question about shoes - it's been years since I bought any for my girl and her favorite pair was recently misplaced during an outing so I'm looking to replace them. Does anyone know of a good place to find a pair of black t-strap shoes for these kiddos? I think I originally got mine from Deb's Adorables on ebay, but she doesn't seem to have them in stock at the moment and I could be misremembering. Any leads on another retailer that may have them?

Lucie is a NF, Genie (mine) needs a much smaller wig, Ally (mine) wishes she was a Juri14 & Marcie is a perfect angel actual Juri14 who I am very jealous of

I didn't really mean to keep Genie and was going to use her body but I love her so now I need to commit to a wig! If I ever do get a Juri14 I think I would put Ally's face on a fullsize body. Anyway, I love all our dolls!

Hello! I was wondering: Can little fee use little fee baby hands?

 

I own both littlefee and littlefee baby so even though I was fairly sure they can share I tried and took a quick photo for you.

They can! They are a little smaller than the standard littlefee hands, but they fit fine.

 

First time posting here! (I think haha) My Littlefee Cygne all dressed up for Autumn. She's wearing a dress set by ComiBaby doll and a witch's hat made by me. I call her Ophelia. I should really do more for my Littlefees and take more pictures!

 

Her hat is really lovely! You made it yourself? That's so clever

 

I did! I followed a Lomi's playground tutorial on youtube for the sizing of the hat then decorated it.
