Hoping to jump onto the LTF bangwagon once again! I'm just attempting to downsize my collection (which is 90% SDs atm) before I commit to getting one but I've missed having one ^-^

What sculpt was/is your favorite or most wanted?

 

I've always had a soft spot for Lewi and Bisou, so I'll probs try and bring them home if possible How about you?

 

I love Ante and Leah, Lewi has so much personality and I’ve considered him too.

Hi,
I’m new to this particular thread. I have ordered a Littlefee Elf Ante (how is that pronounced?). This is the first doll I have ordered from this company and I was wondering how long they usually take to make the dolls and what the status of “Processing” means.

 

Did you order from Fairyland or Denver Doll Emporium? At the moment, it seems to take Fairyland about 4-6 months from ordering until you get the doll. By the way, I ordered an Little Fee Ante Elf too - back in October!

I ordered it straight from Fairyland because DDE wanted double the price of shipping and as I live in the UK it seemed a bit daft to have her shipped from Korea to the States & then back to England.
Oh well I’ll just have to add her to the end of the list of long waits

Processing means your doll is in line to be made or is being made. I pronounce Ante like Ann-tee, like the saying “up the ante” but that is the American way of pronouncing that word, so I could see it pronounced as Ahn-tee also depending on the accent.

 

I expect to get her to n the next couple of months. Until then I will have fun planing her clothing style, deciding on her wig and deciding what type of face-up I want to request for her. (I just commissioned Angel Toast to do it in May.) I can buy her eyes and some clothes! I am very excited. I have wanted her for a long time! Some people actually sketch out what they want their doll to look like! Sometimes the wait can be a lot of fun! (Although immediate gratification is nice too)
Yes, I should have guessed by your name here that you were from the UK. Ordering for FL makes a lot of sense! DDE is kind of fun because sometimes they have dolls in stock which is how I got some of my other LittleFees. I bought one on the marketplace here which was pretty immediate.

 

I was afraid of that. I don’t really want a doll named after a relative (Auntie). I may change it Thanks for letting me know about “processing” now I know I’ve just got to wait.

I’ll have to copy your example. If she had been in stock at DDE I would have snapped her up regardless of the shipping cost, but she wasn’t. Never mind I’ll just have to keep myself busy

 

I know what you mean about the pronunciation, I may be wrong on both though, lol!

 

Who else is hoping there will be a Littlefee fullset soon? I feel like we haven't seen one in a while! I'm hoping for something sweet rather than gothic. Just cuz the last two were Halloween, so a Sarang or Juri would be cool!

 

@lully.lullers you know what, I was just thinking about that as well, we should be due a Littlefee.

 

My Ari - He is a LittleFee Jack Straw. He looks very different from his FairyLand photos. I probably wouldn't have gotten him if DDE didn't put him on Instagram during one of their "Wig-out Wednesdays" My Little girls are quite taken with him, but he thinks girls are, "icky" lol!

From Fairyland’s News/Notice, after the 2023 Sarang Event update:

“LittleFee A La Carte will be also available until March 31st but will be marked as temporarily sold out and will undergo some maintenance work. During the process, some LittleFee Faceplate(s) will be permanently discontinued. LittleFee will be available again but with price increase afterwards.”

Just as I am considering a LittleFee, too; any guesses as to which faceplates are getting the cut? My money’s on Big Pukisha, which is (of course) the sculpt I’m looking at.

 

Ahhh oh no! I would bet older sculpts like Ruru, Rara, Lisa, Lewi. Really I bet half of them are going like what happened to the minifees. I hope Mio and Luna stick around though

 

Yeah, I think so, too. So I actually went ahead and emailed Fairyland to ask if they knew for sure which sculpts would be discontinued and they actually got back to me quickly to say they didn't "at this stage". I don't know if that's a "can't" or a "won't", but fair enough; my best guess would be that they're going to assess sales analytics before curating their LittleFee range.

 

Ugh... please not DES! I still need one in normal skin!

May have to jump right back into spending $$ bc there are a couple older LTF sculpts I'd really like that prob will 'get the axe' so to speak, in any revamps. Well, I've got a couple weeks to decide anyway, time to pray for my wallet

 

Yeah, I had planned to eventually scale up the character I created with my pukipuki many years ago since they’re so hard to style at that size, but not for some time. I actually *also* just got back into the BJD hobby after a long absence, and I’m trying not to get carried away since I’m no longer a fourteen-year-old scraping together my allowance for a Puki.

 

Ahhh nooo just as I've become obsessed with LittleFee... I've already bought 2 fullset SDs this past month so it's hard to think of buying another doll, but if the price is gonna increase, I should go for the LittleFee now rather than later, right ? I kind of have my eye on PongPong 2, but Lewi is also cute! I'm sure Chloe and Cygne are safe from being discontinued for a while...

 

Wow I hope they announce which faceplates will be discontinued, that would definitely be the deciding factor in me finally springing for a Leah or Luna - I know both are older but I'm not sure of the popularity of either. Didn't think my first Littlefee would be a panic buy but it might just be!

 

I see more Lunas here than Leahs, if that helps. I rarely ever see a Piki. I imagine the Pukisha face is one they'll discontinue.

 

I sure hope they'll tell which molds are going to be discontinued. I have spent way too much money last month and this month already, but if they are going to discontinue Pong Pong, I'll have to reconsider. By the way, I think Piki is a cute mold, but fortunately I have one already so I don't need to worry about Piki being discontinued.

Earlier this month, I asked FL outright which ones they were and they told me they couldn’t say, which I hope means they’re still making decisions and that it’s not going to be a surprise. Fingers crossed they make some kind of announcement in the next few weeks (and a promotion, too? That’d be nice!).

In agreement with @clochette , my personal panic-buy would be the Pukisha. I hardly see them anywhere and that probably means they don’t sell that well. I wish they had done more promotional styling with them beyond just swapping out faceplates upon the LTF’s debut years ago.

 

I really hope they're able to tell us which ones before the deadline. It would certainly prompt me to order now if I knew a sculpt I wanted was going to be discontinued. Plus, with the sarang event going on, it would be a good time to order if it ended up being a "now or never" kind of situation.

Luna has also been my favorite LittleFee even before I liked LittleFee. I've always been holding out hope they'd make a Minifee version of her though

 

Request: So, I do plan to order a LittleFee. I love them and I have been considering another boy to play with Ari (Jack). Could you all please post some of your boy LittleFees and tell me what sculpts they are?

 

This is Ianto before I fixed his hair, lol. He's a Chiwoo with a modded mouth, so only his eyes and nose are really representative of the sculpt.

Of these that are still available, I expect El and Shiwoo to be kept, not as sure about Pipi. El is a pretty popular sculpt, I would be surprised if either he or Lishe are on the chopping block.

 

Elf El has been on my radar for quite a while but I've never pulled the trigger. I hope they don't discontinue him, as I "need" to get another girl to share the floating head load before getting another boy. I do love El though. I'm trying to decide which girl I want to get. I'm leaning towards Cygne, as I have the Cygne vampire head as a floating head. I also really like Vampire Hwaya though.

Pipi is almost exactly what I was going for - the little towheaded kid (since my Ari has dark hair.) @clochette It was great to see them all lined up like that. El was one of the ones I was wondering about and your Nanuri '13 and Sarang '14 are gorgeous! did you paint them? Lewi is cute - I went back to look at him. He is "all boy!" I really wish tan were available. I haven't been able to collect any tan LittleFees. Anyway, thank you all so much! This gives me a much better idea of what the sculpts really look like!

 

Thank you! Both my Sarang and Nanuri were painted by Pam Ford, PamSD here on DoA. She's painted most of my gift plates and some of my other kiddos. I've been very lucky, she is very creative. Often my tan kiddos are duplicate faces, because the tan gives them such a different look. I know FL still makes tan because the last PKF release was available in tan, so I wouldn't give up hope.

Definitely! I've been thinking about getting both Pongpong and Pong2 to be twin boys, but right now I've been spending too much money already. I sure hope Fairyland will tell which molds are going to be discontinued so that I could get the Pongs if this is the last chance of getting them.

 

Not to speak this into existence, but could the discontinued sculpts include the "little" versions of their classic Delf/Minifees, like Lishe, El, Shiwoo, Chiwoo, etc.?...

I know the Delfs at LUTS had to do with their split from Fairyland (possible copyright issues), but I suspect that the old Minifees never came back as planned following their "maintenance" because FL appears to be going in a different creative direction. With their workload, it would make sense to curate their stock to give proper attention to new projects, even permanently. (In loose relation, they confirmed to me that the A-Line and Moe boy bodies will remain out of production until the next male Minifee release.)

Also, maybe they want their array of available dolls to appear more streamlined? In that case, the sculpts that started as pukipukis (Pipi, Piki, the Pongs, etc.) could even be on the chopping block. It's all speculation, so it really would be helpful to know before anyone panic-buys or misses out.

 

I'd rather panic buy than miss out... Must check my bank account...

This was last week. I don't think they're gonna be telling us unless a huge majority of people ask. Even then I think they're using this discontinuation to see who are popular or not.

I'll 100% be getting bw elf el and wanted a ns but honestly I can't decide whether to risk getting another or not.
It was between lishe or elf chiwoo boy.

 

I wish Fairyland would open tan skin before they discontinue the LittleFees. It would be cool to get a tan Pongpong and a tan Pongpong2! I have no tan Littlefees because all mine come from the a la carte and that has not allowed the tan option.

 

Me too, I have tan pukis, pkf, & mnf but not a ltf. Maybe once they've reintroduced them they would do a tan option?

Ugh, I really want to order a ws project doll, but it would be my only ws ltf and it would prob be 'wiser' to order someone in ns, so I could use the body to share the faceplate load. But I can't stop thinking about the ws doll and how perfect it would be for what I have in mind

 

I did my part in the email campaign.. I wrote to ask if, even if they didn't know specifics at this point, if they'd update us when they do. I just got the same canned response. Oh well ...

I'm considering pong2 and one other.. but I can't decide between Lewi and Chloe. I'm sure Chloe wouldn't be discontinued, she's like the face of Fairyland, lol, but at the same time there is also the price hike to consider and the unknown amount of time LTF will be unavailable.

 

Oh no, the dreaded Fairyland "temporarily" discontinued is coming for the Littlefees! I also asked FL which ones will be discontinued and if they'd offer tan skin -- maybe they will consider it with enough interest?

Looks like that vinyl girl I was planning to buy soon is getting bumped in favor of a LTF or two. I've been waffling over a Chiwoo boy for ages, but it is tough to choose from my other favorites like Chloe and Luna. I don't think those two are especially unpopular, but it is hard to say. I mean, Chloe is very popular as a Minifee, but is she as popular as a Littlefee? Who knows! And then there's Fairyland's understanding of the word "temporarily".

 

Maybe they copy/pasted their response to @Dolly 's question, which had to do with the LTFs but also inquired about tan skin? I bet they're probably getting a lot of questions at this point, but with good reason.

From my understanding of it, it's the LittleFee line as a whole that is meant to be temporarily discontinued, only permanent for specific (yet-undetermined) faceplates. I would be shocked if they discontinued the entire LTF line; then again, I was surprised to find Pukipukis gone when I returned to the hobby earlier this year. What's the story with that?

 

LTF Chloe is one of my favorite faces! I have her in tan and NS, and she's just wonderful. To me, she's up there with Lishe and El in the "I doubt they're on the chopping block" status because there are so many Chloes in various sizes. Lennox, my tan Chloe, never fails to get compliments when she's modeling. While I doubt that LTFs will be eliminated totally, I tend to believe that the faces eliminated will be long term because there are just so many LTF faces currently available. I see that happen with other companies.

@Lady Gemini the general PukiPuki and RealPuki lines were put on "hiatus" a while ago, but there's not been an official cancellation. We've seen a couple of special releases, but no basics to order. From what we heard at the time, they were changing systems and needed to narrow their focus for a bit, but I'm sure the pandemic derailed them further. Box sourcing was also an issue, but since the Kaka PKF release had a new smaller box, looks like they may have resolved that issue.

 

I’m luckily safe from needing anymore LTFs, I have my ns Juri2013 and tan DES, as well as a ws LTF body for a hybrid. Though I would love a sleeping plate for my DES, but I haven’t seen any ever secondhand in tan. It’s okay though, my girl is cute as is XD

I did buy a second juri2013 faceplate and modded it to dreaming, which I do enjoy utilizing to make her look sleepy heh

Good luck to all of those wanting to obtain an additional (or more) LTF before they are on temporary hiatus!

Me too! I've seen plenty of dreaming sculpts modded open, but (I don't think) never the reverse. And Juri13 is already so cute, a sleepy one? I can't imagine the cuteness

I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if chiwoo was on the chopping block so I may have panic bought a chiwoo girl today hahahah. Excited to meet her and paint for her a beautiful face! I also have considered a pukisha before the end of the month…

It’s always sad to hear those words ‘discontinuing sculpts’ but I suppose like any business they have to streamline their ranges from time to time especially in this current financial climate. I have no idea what criteria they will use for deciding but, as has been said, it makes sense to look at popularity first. They could also do with reducing the amount of similar looking sculpts perhaps? For example do they really need both Madeline and Rose or Pipi and Ante? Don’t get me wrong, I love them all however I’d see their point if they went down that route too.

One thing that may come out of a reduction in certain ranges is that it could help take pressure off and give them more scope to reopen sales of the temporarily discontinued ranges…maybe?

 

Well (mostly) decided on my choice for LTF - I've given up Lewi bc the project I had in mind for him I realized wouldn't be a good idea in the long run. And I cut down the list of other sculpts after so (so) many days of scouring the boards for every ltf pic I could find Had a great time looking tho.

I'm between elf Chiwoo (leaning towards the boy) & elf El. I already have a Delf Chiwoo & 2 MNF versions and would love a smaller one buuuuuuuuuut I've always loved El, don't currently have one in the collection & THAT. FACE. But also Chiwoo and FACE There's a reason I have 3 already........ Also okay, I may still be waffling about a Rolly but that's it, just a choice been those 2 er 3, I swear lol

 

How are you guys contacting Fairyland? I want to ask them if they would consider selling faceplates before they discontinue. But their Q&A board you can't post on???
