Fairyland LittleFee Discussion Part 7

That would be amazing, but only if you're going to be taking photos of them anyway! I hate inconveniencing people. I'd love to see more of all of them, really! I find the differences in them all truely interesting and love seeing dolls without face-ups. It really shows you their potential. 'Blank canvas' sort of thing. It's always the blank dolls that inspire me.

One question though: I know Bisou has a pudgier face, but it can't be much bigger than the rest can it? I mean...it has to fit on the LTF body. I've been wondering about that. It's hard to tell when you don't have one sitting in front of you. XD

I was showing my mother photos of the different LTF and we saw this on flikr before you posted it here. She (and I as well) REALLY loves this dress. It's beautiful and looks so perfect on your little Bisou.

She's lovely. Everything is so fitting, especially against those yellow flowers. It's like everything just 'belongs' together. I love her! The flowers only accent her beauty.

Hey everyone ^^ Just wanted to post a lil pic of Oli and Ellabell as I don't have time to do a gallery >.> I've reverted back to the grey eyes but after receiving some light grey glass eyes in the post I've decided to get some dark grey glass ones for them eventually

I have been taking note of most of the spam ( I have trouble keeping up ) And everyones cuties are adorable! I especially love seeing all the leahs! Has anyone got a BW leah or rachel I can see please ? I do look but may have missed them

 

Aw, I always love seeing pictures of Ellabell! She was one of the reasons why I have ordered my Chiwoo^^.

 

Am very behind...enjoying all the spam and conversation.
I did order from DDE in february at the end of the last event and I am still waiting as well. I am hoping for blue eyes but it sounds like more usual colors are currently in vogue at fairyland.....
I have tried a wig pattern but I am not totally thrilled with it...maybe I can rework it some...

I have made my mohair wigs just sewing a practise facric on by the doll´s head and used that as pattern. I know there must be patterns available but have never seen one.

 

Oli and Ellabell are so cute!! My Leah is BW.

I just love the dresses you have been making! This one is my favorite so far though. Beautiful!

That's a fairly easy way to do it, if you have your doll already! Thank you for reminding me of that idea
I, however, was hoping that someone here had a pattern they'd used with good results so that I could have my doll's wig ready when she got here. Really I'm just trying to fill my time with doll related projects until the Summer event comes around and I can order.

So, the question still stands, anyone have a wig pattern they've used for a LTF?

Look! I finally made a hat!! It took me a few tries, but I finally did it! I was very excited and my family thinks I'm nuts. Hats have been my sewing nemesis......Here is my Ante/Mina modeling it.

Hubby tried to "Dr" Peggy's foot.
My mistake was not being there, watching Grandkidlets. Instead of putting a drop of superglue on the magnet and then putting it in the leg................ he kind of held tipped the leg up, Peggy on her back, and dropped the superglue in.
It dribbled, I guess, down the inside of the leg. !!!!!!CARP!!!!!!
Anyway her ankle and knee joint will not flex at all.
She can still stand and not look too bad so that is a ray of sunshine in a gloomy day.
My own fault tho, should have taken the time to explain (like to a 3 yr old) the concept behind BJD's.
Will post in the "emergency" thread before I attempt anything.
Now instead of 1 stiff drink the whole bottle sounds better.

Thank you very much! If you ever get some free time, you should give it a try. I'm a complete noob when it comes to sewing (I think this dress was the 10th time I had ever used a sewing machine in my life ) and I was able to pull it off. It only took me a couple evenings, too! There's a few really helpful "no pattern" tutorials on here that will give you a starting point. I love the name Lilac! It really suits her! I almost named my Rachel Lilac until I decided on Iris

I have a Bisou and a Rachel and can easily interchange the faces between bodies. The bodies are a standard size regardless of what faceplate mold they send on it. I don't really think Bisou's faceplate is any wider than any of the others, but it has more depth, if you know what I mean. If I have time later this evening I'd be happy to take comparison pics of the faceplates. Sadly, I only have two, but I think Rachel's face is quite a bit slimmer than Bisou's so it should be a nice comparison!

That hat is adorable! It's a lovely choice of fabric for Mina, too. Congrats! I completely understand how exciting it can be when you finally conquer a sewing project! My hubby thought I had lost it, too! *lol*

Oh no! That sounds like something my husband would do, too. Thankfully he still thinks they're made of glass so I don't have to worry about him yet!
It is fortunate that she can still stand. Hopefully someone has a way to fix this. Poor Peggy!

And for whoever asked about Feb orders ... I placed mine with DDE on the 18th. It will be 10 weeks on the 29th. (that's how long it took for my PKF to come in through them.)

And hey, I found out something interesting! In Wind Dolls (French re-seller) has separate Littlefee bodies for sale! I have never seen them before and didn´t find sold separately yet from Fairyland site either. I noticed it today as got a RealPuki from there. Is it new or have I just missed seeing it until now? Thank you for the link. What a surprise on the LTF bodies and the PKF.
Good for them.
It would be great to buy just the body.......... dreaming away here.
Doing the conversion tho it's $265.00 for the body and DDE basic is $260.00 w/o faceup.

Maybe we should order the basic from DDE and sell the bodies.
(Don't want to insult anyone, please don't take offense, just grumbling away here)

Haha... Yep I agree that´s a bit expensive, but still it´d probably be cheaper for European buyer to get the doll without separate fees of customs and also people like me, which haven´t a customs office in their hometown, still have to pay also quite big fee to get the package to home from customs office in another city. Lucky you, who get the dolls without so many extra costs!

Anyways I´m curious to see will they arrive also to FL site and would there be also separate faceplates for sale some day! I´d love that. (And my poor wallet not, LOL!)

 

Trying to post on all the spammage and somehow I hit the backspace button or something and the page backspaced instead of my typing (ARRRGGH!!). Edited to add: It looks like the separate bodies were just added today on the Wind Dolls site..that's what it says at the bottom on the page. Hmmmm....maybe FL is allowing this perhaps as an option to their retailers and hoping we'll see this at DDE too!!!

Customs charges would put a bite in your doll budget.
It might be cheaper than to get hit with the extra fees.
Boy that would be tough to pay for a doll and then to pay again.

What's a good place to buy eyes from for Littlefee? I don't think I'm going to keep the red eyes that my Ante came with from Fairland...they're just way too unnerving in a vampiric sort of way ^_^;;

 

You need eyes of size 14, you can buy some at Denver doll emporium, Volk usa inc..And many more.

 

Fairyland is doing a lot right now-new hands and little soso is back.

I hadn't heard of red defaults before either. I thought the only "fantasy" color was purple (which Molly/Bisou came with). Are there any other "fantasy" colored defaults besides purple and red?
