Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - part nine

Thank you for telling us, I hadn't noticed. The first thing that popped to mind was that it looks adorable with that face-up. Not really befitting for a vampire I guess but never mind that. Not every vampire has to look dark and gloomy. I don't rule her vampire head out as a future part of my teeny tiny 'collection'. It's just sooooo cute and has plenty of potential as far as I'm concerned.

Actually, I hadn't seen it. So thanks for mentioning it I also really like it! It's going to be hard to decide what type of head she should have, but I'm glad I ordered both with faceup.

 

I like the vampire head, too. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be an option when you order the basic doll. Oh well, at least I was able to order the heel feet, which I had forgotten when I ordered last week.

 

She looks great! I'm even more excited now ^^ I agree about the potential. I'm not sure what look I want my girl to have yet.

 

What eye size do you think will fit Lacrima?

 

I am excited for my Lacrima order! I will probably not be keeping the vampire head though.

 

Looking at the bare sculpt shown on the FM60 basic page, I'd say her official size is 16mm, which means 14mm will probably fit. Mirwen officially wears 16mm and I have mine in 14mm.

 

Hmm, in the photos on the website, is Lacrima natural or bw? I want to get her exactly how she looks on the page but can't seem to tell with the face-up and such. In any case, which would she look better in? I think I will go with bw, as it seems to fit her theme.

Her feet though... She comes with heels but normal feet? :/

I have to find myself a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow or something. I would jump at a chance for the vampire head if only I had funding. She's been writing her own story in my head already, I hate it when that happens for a sculpt you weren't planning to get. Fairyland and their sneaky event twists, haha~

Oh well, inspiration is inspiration. Guess I have no choice now but to scour the marketplace once I do find some extra pennies lying around.

I can't find any pictures of white vs. normal skin with the dolls fully made up.... I feel like the bw will be too white (geez, like paper!) but the ns is not as vampire-like.

 

Fairyland's white resin mellows quite nicely. Even if she is a bit too white for your taste at first, she will soften to a lovely ivory over time.

I have a doll who is actually paper-white (a Withdoll--almost literally the same tone as my copy paper), I've handled a newer FairyLand BW doll in person, and I own a yellowed FairyLand, so I can tell you from my personal experience that FairyLand white is not nearly as stark white as paper, although there are different grades and brightnesses of paper so your definition of paper-white may vary. FairyLand BW starts as more of a milk-white, but solid rather than translucent. It does mellow to a pale yellow like ivory and old lace, and it does tend to pick up green and blue shades from any surroundings.

Also, a faceup and outfit can do wonders for making the white tones look more lifelike! If you're worried about her looking too white, try to avoid stark blacks and cool tones like blue and violet and try warmer shades like rose, peach, or mauve.

@Siara I'm really excited to see how your Soony turns out. Miyu and Soony were my two favourite sculpts when I first got into the hobby and I used to envision myself with a Miyu and Soony that were best friends. Sadly, the Soony girl got reshelled into a Rin before I even had a chance to own her. (Not that I even own a Rin yet either, lol).

Does anyone else do that? Reshell a future doll before you even have the chance to purchase them? Or is it just me? Haha...

 

Did FL mention at all how long this current event is gonna last?

 

We have till November 7th for the current event, including the Tears of Raven set.

I had to do mine for the new girl yesterday, I just can't miss out on her! I can't wait to see what you do with your Mirwen!

 

Unfortunately it finishes on the 7 th November 2015 (5pm, Korean Standard Time)

 

When this event ends feeple60 will not be aviable till next event, right?
How offen does Fairyland have events? Because right now I do not have enough money for dolls. I should have enough at the end of november but it is too late for this event. When do you thing will be next event with Feeple60 line?

 

You're right. I asked Fairyland what size she was wearing in the promo pictures and they said 14mm. So I just ordered some new Mako Eyes for her

 

Fairyland does seem to be bringing the Feeple Moe out pretty regularly, but we don't have any guarantee that they will for the next event. I know a lot of us are hoping they do a full F60 event soon with the regular body and boys open, but we will just have to wait and see what they do. I would say, Denver Doll is always an option if you are really wanting to order now.

Is the lacrima sculpt limited like liria was? If so I'm doomed

 

@eloisa Yeah, she is :/ Her F60 sculpt will only be available until this event is over. The event is open for a few more hours as of now.(until the 7th, 5pm Korean time).

Thank you, Hannah. Still no news from the face-up artist but then again there is a queue so I'll just have to bear with it. I kind of keep reshelling one of my future dolls as well but that's probably because he/she isn't a priority but more of a wish to own a tan skin BJD someday. As long as I don't feel the urgent need to get him/her the sculpt will probably keep changing as my preferences change, haha~

It's not a nay but I do prefer dark hair on your Chloe for some reason. I compared pictures on your Flickr. She does look cute in this pale wig as well though. Perhaps you could switch it up once in a while.

 

I was just checking fairyland and DDE and they seem to have the lacrima sculpt available in there basic moe line. I guess she's not limited like liria was :/ kinda sucks for me. Cause I order her just before the event and I didn't have the funds. I should of just waited. Hubby helped me with this one. Since I'm still paying sia.

 

Actually both Liria and Lacrima were in their a la carte option for the order period only. Here is part of Fairyland's statement about Lacrima:

"Tears of Raven has been designed to celebrate 5th year anniversary of [ Sylphe du sud ], designer behind creations of Fairy’s Atelier.
Tears of Raven basic package will be available for sale during current event period only via F60 Moe Basic sales page.
In future, 'Tears of Raven’ sculpt may be released in different FairyLand doll line sizes, perhaps under a different name, but never again in F60 size. "

So it looks like we won't see her again unless she turns up secondhand and who knows what her price will be like then

 

Yes I did know liria was in her a la carte for the event. Tho lacrima is the same. She's still available to purchase on the basic (a la carte) line. I really really wanted her. So I got her before the event. I just think I kinda panicked lol cause knowing those secondhand prices.. Well if she is or if she's not available. At least I got her. I couldn't say no to that pretty face

 

That's so weird! Both the FM60 and Lacrima should have been marked as sold out yesterday! I bet they will change that tonight. I'm glad you got your girl!

 

Yeah that's what I thought as well. Yes I'm glad too. Tho hubby helped with this one. It's my Christmas gift. Can't wait to see her in person.

 

Lacrima's full set has been marked sold out (I wonder how many were sold?) but the FM60 basic is still open, head open still including Lacrima but only white/normal resin - the tan skin option is gone. I've looked at the Fairyline event notice and yeah... it reads as the TS options ends on the 7th. So I guess that they meant the same with FM60 - its the TS option that has ended.

 

Yes tan skin has ended but if you look on fairyland statement it says that lacrima basic and fullset will only be sold on this event. That she won't be released as F60 size. It's so weird that they have not removed her from the basic line. Tho they did add her to the little collage for basic F60moe line. I really thought I was going to miss her like I did with liria.
