I'm doomed if it's a boy as I mostly go for male dolls, a girl it's 50/50 chance of doom. I have the MNF dragon Erda, a big dragon would be neat. So would anything with hooves. Or like cat paws to go with that new cat head would also be neat. Too many good options really.
I'm shaking in my boots about the Fairyline60. I was really hoping nothing special this summer but I have been waiting to see what they do while other company's are doing summer already. I wonder if they will do a male because there have been 3 girls so far. But you never know since Kanis came out Winter.
Oh she's pretty, and I have a thing for dragons, so she's a big maybe. I want to see more pix before I make up my mind one way or the other.
I'M DOOMED Oh my god I've been dreaming of them releasing a big dragon for YEARS!! I'm praying they give us some good color options instead of red, tan white but omg!!! I'm screaming my wallet is so doomed. What a dream come true of a doll for me I'm sure all the Sircca fans will be happy as well! She scaled up nicely.
Loving F60 Sircca! Wallet is crying. Can't wait to see more color options. I feel like a missed opportunity for Ojitze Red to make its debut in Feeple!
My wallet is crying I've been looking to reshell my longest standing character into a bigger size, but none of the current F60 molds fit what I was looking for. Until now. I don't know that I would go for the dragon parts, though.
She is currently a mnf Marcia, but I've been wanting a "grown up" version for quite some time now. Now to decide if I want to sell her current iteration, or start saving up from scratch.
Do you guys think they will have more colors or clear colors besides solid BW, NS, and Tan? I wish they let Otjize red to release too. I am so curious to see that color bc it looks like an orange red since it is a natural color.
I really hope they have more colors. I feel like the days of releases with 3 options should be over for Fairyland with how adventurous they've been being lately. It'd be a huge shame (and weird?) if they didn't release a nice amount of colors. The Otjize red would be so cool for the release on either part type. I'm hoping they have typical solid colors and then the translucents they offered for the mermaids.
I forgot his name but they actually did a mermaid, not seahorse, didn't he have two translucent colors as options? I hope there is one more clear resin color and non-basic solids too!
You gotta look on FB on one of the creators personal account and also same on IG. Here you go: blank: Spoiler: pic 2 25th Anniversary event: Spoiler: pic 3 I didn't bother posting here the Ciel MNF event head and its 25th Anniversary counterpart.
Ahhh thank you!! I hadn’t found it on IG and I don’t use FB so I was behind on the new releases! Lowkey the Sircca event head is the most tempting thing about this whole release. I might try to grab one in a split on IG, but I already have so many floaters…
Np! Happy to share the pictures! I love the Sircca event and wish they were releasing a mermaid tail to go with. It does work for dragon but you know.
I LOVE Phoeb's event head so much. Having a big Phoeb sounds fun. I'm kind of a purist in the hobby (no mods, no hybrids) but I think I'd have her eyes modded open a little bit. All the blank flat space on her eyelid is a little strange to me. She looks so cute as an elf I can't get over her. This event is going to have me eating noodles for a while
Does anybody know if they've said that the regular Sircca will be available as a regular doll (not fullset) in the normal lineup? I'm not sure if I'll have the funds by the time the event is over.
If the sales page doesn't say she's exclusive/limited, then it's a safe bet she'll join a la carte. We'll have to wait to see what the sales page says!
If she is anything like Miwa's release, they probably will have her "basic" on a fairyline body but then get shoved into a LA carte later.
Haha. I want to get her fangs modded off but unsure if that will make it look weird because it looks like there are lip creases there. I think opening the eyes would be fine. But yeah, there are some sculptures out there that choose to leave out the eyelid part. Supposed to be painted in. lol
Good to know. I didn't realize that what people do. lol I never commissioned such things before. Haha.
After all that waiting and hype we get three color options and no white I'm going with the blue, but I'm kinda confused at this choice. I'm also bummed there's no option to buy the dragon legs separately, or at least add it to the al la carte for the event? I'd love a Mirwen dragon or something. Oh well.
Maybe you can ask DDE to ask FL about that? Not unheard of for them to add new options. It's also weird the wings are separate purchase and not included in the package too. Also, wish the anniversary heads were also separate purchase but here we are.
Seeing more photos and the options, I think I might just get her dragon head and a male f60 body to make my own dragon boy. I have a MNF dragon Erda, and I love them, but not sure I need another doll with that style legs, double so with clear color as only options.
Just curious, am I allowed to post photos of my doll if she has a f60 moe body but a delf head? I just got my girls together and I'd love to share ♡
Thank you! I'm so glad to share! These are my girls, my lishe (Feather) is on the brand new moe body, and my luwen girl (Snow) is on the delf! The color match is really great for them! ♡ Better Together ♡ by ❥ Emily Dawn, on Flickr
I recently acquired a Feelple60 (my sibling saw the box and went "ooo big lady!" ) and I've seen previous posts saying that Smartdoll clothes fit F60 pretty well - my question is, with the new Smartdoll Pear size, does anyone know if the Classic or Pear size works better for the F60 Moe body?
I definitely think it’s classic size! Pear didn’t exist when I started hearing that SMD stuff fit F60
Like @Chameleon said, it would be the classic Smart Doll. Just be warned, Smart Dolls are taller than Feeple60 so if you buy things, it will look longer on them. I have dressed my Feeple60 in leggings and long sleeves. The long sleeves can be a bit annoying scrunched up. The leggings were okay but needed to be scrunched up too.
I sometimes dress my f60 boys in shirts for SMD girls as the sleeves fit really well, and so do some of the tights/pants. As long as the clothing has a bit of give/stretch to it it works well for f60 girls and boys, though as others said the arms and legs are slightly longer on SMDs.
Does anyone here know if it's possible to put a Switch head on a F60 girl body? I was hoping to put Switch Yunseol/LilyByRose head on an f60moe but I have no clue if that's possible or how the sizing would match up! Switch's website says the body that head is on has a neck circumference of 9.4cm and the f60 neck circumference should be 8.4, is this too big a difference? Sorry if this question seems silly, I've never done a hybrid before! I really like the aesthetics of fairyland bodies and I'm absolutely in love with the magnet joints for wrist and ankle, and I've been wanting to get a big resin girl for a while, but none of the heads available in a la carte for f60 really match the character I'd be shelling
@ashefaust I've done a few hybrids, never with an f60 body and different company head so can't speak for what works best. I can give some small advice in that the neck size does matter, you want it to be as close as poseable in most cases. (There are times were it matters less) The moe body has slim neck at 8.4, so a head meant to go on a thicker neck well have gapping where the neck meets the head. The closer the neck size is to what the head is made for the less of a gap. Some companies have heads that are made to fit more then one sized body, so can go up or does a neck sizes without it being much of an issue, but that's not the norm. So always best to try and size close. I'd say you could get away with a head made for an even 9cm neck easier then a 9.4cm, but there might still be a bit of a gap. Which can bother some people. Also related in sizing you want to look at head scale and body scale as too big of head on a smaller body and you get a bobbled head effect and too small of head on too big of body and you have a pinheaded look. Oh and something else to think about to use a non fairyland head you will have to restring the doll and take the neck connector out and replace it with a normal S hook. Hope that helps some, and I hope others can give you more advice and info.
I am sorry, @ashefaust - Switch is one company I do not own. However, if you check my profile for the list of dolls I have (the many, many dolls I have), and you would like a hybrid of any of them, let me know. Popping off her head isn't a problem. I've got a thread going in the Reference Section, too.
I have tons of Switch and a single Feeple60 and can try for you, but I only own their boys which have a different neck size. If you still want me to try let me know. The only skin tone match I could show is normal though.
Here’s switch yunseol on a Angell studio 58cm YT body, 8.6cm neck and a xaga doll 57cm body 8.2 neck! I don’t mind it on the xaga doll body but there is a gap! I also added a silicone washer, since the neck is short. Image Imgur link: Switch
Thank you so much for all the info!! This is really helpful! I heard there was a neck connector thing you could buy to put non-fairyland heads on fairyland bodies, is that thing for f60? I think that would be easier than restringing for me, restringing kind of scares me. I'd love to see a skintone match for f60 normal skin if that's the one you have! Honestly I feel like I can hardly see the gap? Or maybe I'm just not sure what I'm looking for, but I think it looks fine. Thanks for the pictures! I feel like it would basically be covered by a wig, right?
Kind of the other way round as Fairyland heads need the connector vs companies that use a normal S hook. So all Fairyland dolls use a neck connector mechanism to keep the heads on. With their mnf dolls you can buy it on it's own to use with other doll bodies to hold on the mnf heads in place. As you can not buy a f60 or f65 doll body on it's own they come default with head and a neck connector. In order to put a non-Fairyland doll head onto a Fairyland body you will have to take off it's head, and then restring it slightly. In order to replacing the default neck connector with some kind of an S hook. I have done the reverse of this and used a 3D printed neck connector to put an F65 head on a 63cm I.O.S. boy body. It wasn't much harder then a normal restringing, but I had all the right tools for the task. (And my S.O. there as a 2nd pair of hands). Most companies use some kind of S hook to hold heads to bodies, Fairyland is the odd ones for not doing that, though there is a tiny hook that is part of the neck connector mechanism. Hope that kind of clears it a bit. I would offer pix, but don't have any and likely wont have the time to take any this week.
I've put a non-Fairyland head on a Fairyland body (specifically an Angell Studio head on an FairyLine60 body), although I didn't keep the hybrid (the head is now on a Maskcat body). Two things you should know: 1) Be aware the resin will not match. I have Switch Powder Beige and Switch Rosy White, and neither is a good match to Fairyland resin. In some lighting, the Switch Powder Beige + Fairyland NS is kind of tolerable, but in other lighting the difference is really obvious. 2) You must restring the torso. The neck connector you've heard about is for putting a Fairyland head on a non-Fairyland body. To do the reverse (put a non-Fairyland head on a F60 body), you are going to have to remove the neck connector, which means you are going to have to restring the body. (The only exception is the FairyLine60 body, which CAN take a non-Fairyland head without restringing because of its "quick exchange" bust system, which doesn't exist on the F60.) You don't need to buy any special neck parts for this, but you will need to supply your own S-hook. I do think there's a potential for the gap to look weird. I've definitely tried some head/neck combos that I really disliked for a variety of reasons: neck too skinny, neck to thick, head sat too low on neck (resulting in a super-short neck), head sat too high on neck (resulting in a super-long neck), etc. A full 1cm is a pretty big gap, plus with that gap the head might sit very low on the neck.
I wanted to share my F60 Elf Gray Ria! She has a name along with a face-ups. Her name is Letona. Cat Ears were borrowed.
Anyone else a little frustrated that fairyland isn't honoring their pricing error with the demon wings? :\
That was just DDE wasn't it? It was the regular price on the Fairyland website. It'd be a pretty big cost to swallow all those wings at such a massive discount.
Wow @sugarcactus your Letona is gorgeous! Her facepaint looks amazing on the gray resin! Beautiful!! Congrats! Just wanted to share two of my favorites - because they both make me smile. Chloe and Clarisse - obviously both F60 Chloe sculpts - my favorite one of these days I’ll get some photos of their (somewhat extensive) wardrobe too. I quite enjoy sewing for these gals!!
So after being out of the hobby for like 6-7 years, I'm jumping back in head first with an Alan order placed tonight. I think I may have to lay down after how much I just spent lol. But after a crap year I think the price tag will melt away when he get's here in November!
YEP I don't understand why they can't honor it. I legit ordered extra things to get to the threshold for the event. Annoying but sadly will pay. @Robyn_in_WA - Thanks so much! She definitely is breathtaking in gray. I love how we both have dupes of our favs. Your Chloes are so cute!
I ordered the Fairyline60 Miwa Basic and now I’m just impatiently waiting for her to get here!!!! I really want to recreate her antique rabbit outfit, I found someone selling her clothes but not the beautiful rabbit ear accessory. Anyone know a good replacement or ideas for her?? So hard to be patient! also I am new to the BJD hobby, and so happy I found the Fairyland dolls it’s like they’re out of a dream
Congratulations! I'm actually waiting on my Miwa bunny to ship from Arkelle this week! I'd say just stalk the marketplace like it's a job. That's how I found mine!
Thank you @Pen-Pen !! I don’t have access to the marketplace on here yet since I’m so new so I will be sure to stalk as soon as I have access!! For now I am stalking the BJD and resale groups on Facebook! congratulations on your Miwa Bunny!! Also congrats on finding the ear accessory too, literally cannot stop thinking about how pretty they are with the dangling piece!
I’ve also got a feeple Alan on order from fairyland so we can wait together! I’d also try stalking instagram! I’ve seen some within the last few months pop up so while it’s rare I don’t think they’re super rare. we can cheer each other on until November gets here!
FeePle Alan looks so incredible!! Do you have any recommended groups or individuals on insta? I tried searching for Miwa stuff but it was all from 2021, nothing recent :'(
