So Emma is second from last on the right. She is taller than nearly all MSDs except Iplehouse's CID body. She's quite a bit thicker around, too.

Note, however, that Raccoon Doll is releasing a new "Naturally Posed" body, and that's not what's in this picture.

 

Next up: The One Hybrid to Rule Them All. The Highlander Hybrid. The hybrid that solves two issues that have plagued me at once:

Dream Valley Z7 on 60 cm body. Long, skinny body. BIG noggin:


I tried an Impldoll Cicely head, which kinda fit, but you can see a huge gap between the bottom of the head and the neck:


I was kinda frustrated with this body... until I put a Dollmore Zaoll (Dreaming Luv) head on it:


Honestly - I love it:


It's a tweener head - on the smaller side (made for the Zaoll 50 cm body). It's a shade smaller than the DV Z7 head. And I have... 4 of them now? Dollmore keeps selling them half off.

But I didn't like the proportions IRL (although doesn't look that bad in pictures), so I swapped:

DZ Douglas (still horrified) on Dreaming Doll body; IH Elysia on Dollshe mini 26F body, and RS Dawn on Judith body.

My Isabel nSID is on her way to me, and she's also in Special Real resin, so I'll take pictures when she arrives!

 

Well, that's just weird. All my pictures are broken? I'll come back and fix. Ugh. That's going to be time-consuming...

To start:

Left to right: Iplehouse Aaliyah is an EID head pictured here on an HID body in special real resin, made in 2022.
Iplehouse Isabel is an SID head on the nSID body, same resin as Aaliyah, made in 2023.
Iplehouse Bianca is a YID head on the nYID body in light brown resin, and she was made in 2013. (2012? I'll have to ask the seller again.)
I think it's kinda funny that as the doll gets "older," the head gets smaller. Life hack: want to look older? Shrink your head.

With some wigs:

EID/SID heads are closer to size 7-8 in wigs (8-9 runs a little big). YID heads are a solid 8-9.
Iplehouse recommends 12 mm eyes for EID/SID heads, and 14-16 mm for YID heads.

Bianca is a solid fit on the HID body. It's like that head glued itself to the neck.

I have the EID body, too, if you want to see anyone on that, but it's almost identical to the HID body - just a hair shorter.

One other curiosity:

The madness continues:

Bizarre splotchy orange is the start of an undercoat. I'm going to spray paint the arms and legs to match the body, and I want to warm up the brown a little.

 

Oh. Did I ever mention that Soul Doll Kids heads are not a great hybrid with the Dollmore Judith body? Cuz I did not like the results:




Huge neck gap, and I just didn't like the proportions.

So, I gave up in frustration and sold the head.

 

More hybrids: Fairyland Chicline Lishe head (blushed to match an off-topic Ficondoll body) on Dollpamm "Skinny" body, white resin.


The head is a good, snug fit, but I don't like the way the neck broadens at the top. It was sculpted for a larger head, but I've been looking for a body for this head forever, so I'm probably going to sand it down.

I believe that Impldoll tan and Dikadoll tan are very, very close in color (doing a foot swap and grabbed the wrong feet), so that's a potential bonus.

 

OK. Sincere apologies for the delay. It took me a few days to dig everyone out.
To start: Dikadoll Sara on "65" cm body (really more like 62.5 cm) in tan resin, and Impldoll Lydia on 65 cm Star MGB body, no wigs cuz heads:


Swap (plus cat photobomb):


Looks good from a distance, but up close, it becomes clear that some modding would be needed for either head. The Dikadoll head would need to be opened up, or the Impldoll neck sanded down:


Sara is just perched on that tree trunk of a neck:


Dikadoll's neck would need to be built up to fit Impldoll Lydia:


There's a pretty sizeable gap, even with the neck decoration:


Having said that, I LOVE how Lydia looks on the Dikadoll body. I'm keeping her this way.


Also, the Impldoll Star MGB body has nice, broad shoulders, and a larger head (like this Limhwa/EOSdoll elf head) looks very proportional:

 

Angel of Dream bodies - the unsung hero of hybrids:


I've yet to put a head on an AoD body and not like it.

Without wigs. Impldoll tan is a touch warmer than Iplehouse SRS, which has a very bad habit of getting a gray-ish (corpse) undertone:

Swap! Iplehouse heads hybrid very nicely onto Impldoll bodies. The opposite is NOT true:

One last, very important thing: in 2024, Impldoll changed all of their resin colors. I do not know if the MGB body in tan resin (2022) is the same color as the new "brown skin" resin. I do know that the new "real skin" looks like Supiadoll normal, and peach gold is supposed to match Iplehouse Peach Gold.

 

Hello again! Re-read your post, and realized that Leona's face-up obscures the old real skin resin color. See if this helps:

Old real skin special UV protect (blank Leona, 3rd tall girl from left) is close to Iplehouse SRS, but it's lighter and still warmer. You'd definitely have to do some color matching - but Iplehouse heads fit great.
Iplehouse EID Aaliyah is 3rd tall girl from right, and she was made in 2018.
Iplehouse HID Aaliyah is behind her and 2d tall girl from right. She was made in 2021.

Everyone sits with no problem - although Alberta's big old horns do make her a challenge to pose. Not Dream Valley's fault - those horns are heavy:


Kneeling. Hedy couldn't join, cuz Dreaming Doll Type-A bodies are single-jointed. Also a test of "can you hold your arms in the air?" Little Monica body was very disappointing, actually.

Summary:
If you are certain you don't like the Dream Valley body, the Souldoll Soul Kids NL body is the best posing of the bunch.
Biggest surprise and disappointment was the Little Monica body. The hands have the least-detailed sculpting, and it was the poorest-posing of the bunch. Yes, even worse than MYOU.

One of these days, I'm going to order a full Limhwa doll. That's her all the way on the right. It's positively the most beautiful golden honey brown resin I have ever seen. I kinda regret putting wigs on her, cuz I love seeing the color of her little bald head. I don't know how they came up with that color, but it's hands down my favorite.
