@Ctrowbridge77 The question is which costume...Leetah has a lot of fashion choices and I can't remember them all.
@jessholy I can't wait to see your Leeta, and all her outfits are lovely so hard call which to try and make first. Reminds me I need to actually sit down and start work on my Rayek MNF project, step one sand off extra fingers and toes from the spare parts gotten just for modding.
@Tippetarius Thanks! Her wig and outfits give me some anxiety...but my other layaway doll is going to be Cutter so I will also get wig and outfit anxiety from him! (even if something tells me he'd be fine lying around in a loincloth, not gonna happen.) Now I just need to find a good Skywise sculpt... ooooh I gotta see your Rayek. Rayek and Skywise are my favorite characters - Leetah and Cutter get their dolls first because of timing of sculpt releases lol.
@jessholy Rayek, and Skywise are my two favorites as well, I wish I could shell them all and in 1/3rd scale. However due to space other wants, and finding a pretty good (not perfect but close enough) Rayek mold he will likely be the only one I make. I can't wait to see your Leeta and Cutter, I grew up on ElfQuest and always wanted dolls of the characters. So love seeing when people make fan dolls and figures.
@Tippetarius which mold did you get for Rayek? Maybe we can convince Fairyland to make him in 1/3! Skywise is hard...I love when he has his full cheeks but lately, he's been looking more gaunt in the comics (and changed like all together but I am sticking with Wolfrider Skywise thankyouverymuch). You know, I technically don't have space, but my dolls will keep would be burglars out haha!
@jessholy MNF elf Lami with the pout face as it reminds me of the cover art from Rogue's Challenge where he is deep brooding. I like that a lot of Fairland molds work as either gender. MNF Rayek will be before his body was reshaped by Winowill to be like a High One. Which a f65 boy could easy be a nice high one as tall and lean, so would be doomed if they make the right broody elf man. XD Edited to remove typos.
@Tippetarius Ah yeah that does look like his ultra broody face! So like when he was in the desert? I suppose Nuia is Leeta at High One height...she is 65cm.
Everything before the Rogues Curse story, after that he looks like a High One, hopefully soon that story is getting an ending I heard.
My Nuia is here! She is gorgeous! She is also very naked because I am not sure I have any clothes that fit her. I didn't pay attention to measurements, all I saw was her potential. Now she is here and I need help getting her clothed until I figure out which outfit I want to commission for her. Any advice?
Gwen my Nuia is in a princess style dress, no idea the maker, but it's for bigger girls. (that dress even fits some of the boys in my house) Anyway I have a few bigger girls from Iplehouse and the like, so things made for SIDs and EIDS and Impl Doll Star sized girls should fit. Also if you have any robe like outfits for bigger boys, those could maybe work as stand ins. Boy's t-shirts too, though it's hard to think of Leeta in a t-shirt and jeans. XD
Well I did manage to find one older Soom outfit that laces up in the back. The skirts thankfully fit. While I couldn't fully lace the bodice, I did get it laced enough. So at least she isn't lying around naked! She doesn't like the stand independently so she is currently on a stand. I changed her eyes out to a green pair I had. Her wig is the right color just not right for Leetah - she's got curly hair after all. Spoiler The outfit in its entirety. She is hard to figure out shoes for too - I think certain Volks shoes will work but she didn't want to stand/balance in the boots I put on her so she is currently barefoot.
I have found that clothing meant for Iplehouse SID works well. I found some pants and a sweater on Etsy for her.
Has anyone tried Smartdoll Pear clothes for their F65 girls? I'm comparing the size chart on fairyland's website to the measurements of a pear doll chart I found on reddit. It looks like the F65 girls are taller, but horizontal measurements aren't that far off. Arms appear to be .5 cm off. I'm eyeing some clothes (TooCuteClub on etsy) so the Pear being bigger isn't a big deal. I'm debating ordering a tunic or shirt to see if it would work. I don't want to waste money, but I'd be delighted for my big girl to be able to wear some cutesy stuff. It seems too good to be true, but....
I wanted to share my Stephen with his new eyes. I’d had him wearing 14mm double narrow but felt it made him look rather angry. The new eyes are 14mm narrow instead and I’m ever so much more pleased. I guess the popularity of small irises just doesn’t work for me. Dr. Stephen Maturin - his coat is ready too but not worn just yet. Spoiler: previous eyes
Alright, I need help. Does Fairyland have their doll measurements listed anywhere? I want to commission an outfit for Nuia but she's on their new body so I am trying to find her measurements.
Just in case the measurements in the above link are for an older body - did your Nuia come with an extra sheet showing measurements in the booklet @jessholy ? My Angela2 did - and so did my Rick guys. The measurements in the above linked table are definitely wrong for the F65 new guy body!! I bought boots for my Rick based on those measurements and there was NO way they’d go on his much bigger foot!! Then I saw the new sheet in the booklet after he arrived and knew why.
@Robyn_in_WA You are right! She had a page for her measurements on the new body! Thank you for catching that!
Nabbed a Rozen! This is Senri, my reshell from a Minifee Klaus (Vampire). The vampire event plate won me over. Does anyone know if 8/9 Monique Gold wigs fit this head or would it be better to get a 9/10? Online measurements show this head is 9.4 inches but it seems smaller in person.
@Cap'n I have my Rozen in an 8/9 Monique Gold wig the "Teddy" style actually, and my Rick is in the same size only the "Buttercup" style also Monique Gold. So I feel like as long as it's one of the style of Monique Gold that has a bit of stretch to it he should fit an 8/9.
It's a mohair wig on a stretchy cap that I believe was made by Hoblods. Basically the exact style I want for this boy, just the wrong color!
I just double checked, and I was wrong my Rick is in a size 7/8 buttercup actually which means my Rozen might be in the same size as well as I seem to recall using the same size wig on both of them. And for ref here is a pic of Sinclair (my Rick) in said 7/8 wig.
I knew this head seemed small! I need to measure when I can find my measuring tape. Thanks for the info @Tippetarius. That wig looks great on your Rick!
Those guys are gorgeous! Thinking of getting one. But I'm confused about the measurements - reading this thread I see the table on the web-site is wrong. Can anyone please take the actual measurements of their boy? Neck circumference, shoulder width and waist circumference will be especially appreciated
I am too! I have always admired the F65 girls but never taken the plunge on one, but I adore the queen of hearts theme.
Oh no. She's stunning. I need to work on the girls I have before I buy any more, but if that outfit comes up for sale, it would be very hard to say no. I love those sleeves and it's nice to see them branch out on the skirt shape.
I was inspired by other people's Christmas tree doll photos so I decided to take one of my Nuia. Her name is Order. She is the Goddess of Order from a story my friend and I am working on.
Spoiler: Large Pics Warning My girl FINALLY has a body! I've been contemplating on whether to just hybrid her or wait for a feeple65 body to show up and decided to just get her the Feeple65 body since their neck/faceplate system is so extra to find. She's so pretty!! I love how beautiful the body is and aesthetically it's something I love--but she cannot sit for life of me. I'm not able to prop her up to sit and she just falls backwards. Additionally her left leg is a little wonky and kicks, might need to restring her sometime soon (although I don't know how haha). Anyways, now I have my full Feeple girl!
To sit her you need to position her and then push her legs in until it clicks. Then they'll lock in place and she'll stay! Congrats on the body, your girl looks gorgeous!
Can anyone give their opinion on the Feeple65 Boy body? I want to make this new head into a boy but I'm worried about two things: the head looking very pinheaded (why are they getting smaller?!) and those coat hanger shoulders. For as many FL dolls I have, I really don't like their bodies. The only ones I've found I actually enjoy are the F65 girls and the Fairyline boys. The F65 boy body is one of the only ones I don't have experience with, so if you have one, tell me anything?
Now I got her sitting down haha! I guess I was putting too much pressure to sit down and so she'd spring back out. Still figuring out how her body works, but thank you for this
I have a FL65 body but I'm unsure of the date of making (I bought him 2nd hand & he's a hybrid with a Soom head). For the most part, I like the body. The joints move smoothly and stay in position reasonably well (he could probably be strung tighter but I lack the hand strength to do that). The body is sculpted beautifully. I can't comment on the stability of the resin colour as he was dyed a dark chocolate brown with white/cream vitiligo markings by a previous owner (I assume he was originally BW). The only thing I dislike (very intensely, I might add) is the mag arms. I've strung him without the mag chest piece as I absolutely HATED the mag arm (dis)function. I'd only had him 1 day strung with the mag arms before I re-strung him without it. But, full disclosure, I hate mag parts in general so make of that what you will. I appreciate that you can string the body without the mag part and it doesn't impact the posing in any way I've noticed. I think it's interesting what they did with the lower leg attachment to allow for easy leg swapping but it's a bit disappointing that they never made any interesting lower legs (hooves or some other type of feet) to take advantage of that easy swap function. In a positive light, you can apparently string the legs in the normal way without the quick change feature (I have not).
Anyone have a CP Delf and an F65 boy? I am curious to see the CP Delf head on F65 boy body. And does the F65 Boy fit SD17 clothes?
Yes please. I'm thinking about getting a new one for an Delf El I have. The skintone difference isn't too much of a problem for me.
I can answer the clothes question. For the most part, SD17 clothes fit fine. My F65 boy (Rick on the newer version body) mostly wears either SD17 or SSDF* sized stuff. *disclaimer that I'm referring to the original SSDF size. I have no idea if current SSDF sized clothes fit since the current SSDF line from Luts seem to be bigger than before.
Ok, cool. I have the old Feeple65 boy body. It definitely cannot wear SD17 boys' collar shirts. The shoulder joints are too chunky.
Thanks! The new F65 seems slimmer as that's how they been making their boys (F60 too). So I thought maybe SD17 would work. I appreciate your knowledge! I love the old body too but they are hard to get your hands on so I just will try for the new F65 boy. I do remember them being more beefy.
Does anyone have a picture of an old F65 boy and a new F65 boy body? I'm curious how they look side by side. Didn't realize they would have that big of differences.
Hi! I have a hybrid new Feeple 65 boy body with a Delf Nanuri 07 head. The head is a very tight fit, I had to sand 1-2mm from the inside of the head to get it on. The resin does not match but I really love the aesthetics of the body. In the pictures shown he is wearing a top that is from Volks in size SD17 for your reference. Spoiler: Upper Body Photo Spoiler: Head/Neck Seam Spoiler: Full Body Photo
He looks really good! Yes, the fit with the neck could use a bit more work... maybe sanding the neck itself slightly?
I've thought about doing that but I think I am ultimately going to choose an outfit that covers the neck. I didn't mind sanding the head opening since my head already had an eye mod, but I want to keep the body mod free in case I ever change my mind about what head I want on it.
Thank you so much! I feel the Delf Nanuri 07 is a slimmer head than Delf El. He looks definitely nice though. I appreciate you taking refs for me.
Popping in to share my girl getting her horns situation situated. Lol If people want magnets, I was able to find some at Home Depot! Ignore that she has a doubled up magnet. Super glue had an accident there. Spoiler: Pics! imgur.com
I wanted to share my finally dressed Dr. Stephen Maturin (Master and Commander - and the 21 books) with his friend Captain Jack Aubrey and Lt. Tom Pullings - who just got his uniform coat today. Feeple65 Rick painted by VittaVera as Paul Bettany’s character from the movie. Jack is an older Iplehouse EID Luo painted by Lyn Raftis. Tom is a SartoriaJ 71ath Demian. Now to finish dressing their women so they can join in the photos.
Thanks SO much @LyanneNZ !!! Yes, I did make all of the pieces for each of these uniforms (including the patterns for them). (Jack’s and Stephen’s dress uniform coats are ready too - but waiting to share until Pullings’ is ready). I’m sure that you’d not be surprised that it’s taken months to get them all done!! Do you make toiles too, when creating your new patterns? Or are you way better than me in getting patterns ‘right’ the first time??
Oh I am not surprised that it took such a long time. It takes me ages just for simple patterns. Sometimes I make a "toile" as a practice run for more complicated things but especially with small dolls I am often impatient and skip that step figuring that even if it doesn't work I won't lose much fabric. With the big guys I would probably do a practice run first....especially for something like you have just made (I can't imagine even attempting this to be honest!) When I finally succumbed to two large men dolls I promised myself I would buy clothes for them but maybe one day I would make them a nice coat or jacket or something...I have sewed for my MSD sized men but the big guys only very few things...my hat is off to you Robyn!! Well done
*Thanks* @LyanneNZ !! I’m just relieved that these uniform coats turned out reasonably well! Just one more to go now. Yes, I learned years ago that making the toile was SO worth the time. Like you said, probably not worth it for tiny dolls, but for this size, yes. Otherwise it’s not only good fabric wasted, but a LOT of time as well. I do find it a bit easier still to sew for the 1:3 guys rather than the 1:4 - so you might find the same thing once you do a coat for the bigger guys? Still the linings…. With the elegant, fitted garments you create for your gals, I can’t believe that you’d have a terrible time making a coat for one of the big dudes!!
I have a feeple65 Nuia faceplate that I want to hybrid but after having a quick look for headbacks it appears fairyland don't sell them separately? (I only saw the new release one). Is the only way to get one second hand?
The new release one is the headback for Nuia—it’s been the headback for every F65 head since Sylvia (who was released in 2017, so “new release” is a hint of a misnomer). The other style of headback shown on that listing is used in pre-2017 feeple65’s like the OG Angela, Chloe and Roke, and has not been used since then.
Oh thanks so much! I have not kept up with fairyland releases so I just assumed Sylvia was a very recent one
My Feeple65 Scarletia arrived today, you'll have to forgive me putting her outfit on incorrectly, I was a bit eager
