Fairyland Feeple 65 Discussion Part 7

Feb 22, 2022

    1. He's easy to dress?
      :: sweats ::

I totally threw him in my cart this morning (not that I was stalking his release or anything), but have managed not to press buy yet.......

      Yeah...

      Totally. Self control.
      I have that.

      ......

      • x 4
    2. In my cart too! But, tan or normal? Tan will (to me) not look that great with the wig, but I have so many wigs. Will the faceup look as stunning? I dislike having to repaint. (ok, I always mess with them anyway) They'd better get the eyebrows right. I've seen those unhappy owner's pics of Medusa's brows. Mine were fine, but it's really a toss of the dice, isn't it?

Not pretending to be on the fence. Toppling off for the first order period. Wheee! :sumomo:

      .

    3. hi,
I just saw the new f65 with horns. wish they would have followed through as a deer with the legs though....but anyway..is the new 2023 body the same as last years?
it looks like he doent have a hip joint in the pictures.
I have not had a f65 boy in forever so I am not up to date on them

    4. Hello!
I believe he's on the newest F65 Boy Body that released with Rick. He's got a long torso, and the hip joint is very low to give that V-shape illusion with the low-cut pants.

    5. Hello~

Any Feeple65 Rick owners who have a much easier time getting their boys to sit versus their F65 ladies (new release)? I know you have to lock the female body's legs to get them to sit properly, but I don't have to do that with my Rick... Is it just because his pants are ridiculously tight and I can't even get him to sit that straight? It feels like his hips don't have the mechanism to lock like the female bodies do...

      Thank you!

      • x 1
    6. I just finally dressed my Rick's body in clothes that arrived in November, LOL. I can definitely say he does sit very easily and super appreciate his hands and head come off for easy dressing. Just noticed, feet from not come off. That was a surprise!

    7. So...does anyone have photos of this new Feeple65 guy body (I guess that would just be Rick at this point) next to other 65cm guys from other companies?

I couldn't find any around, but maybe I'm just missing them. Is he really petite?
I realized who Rozen reminded me of and it's really making me itch to buy him, but I really didn't plan to buy more dolls right now, so I'm trying to make sure I cross all my t's and dot my i's.
Maybe I'll luck out and find him oddly scaled? (My wallet can hope, right?)

      Thank you so muuuuuch :abow:

    8. Oh man, I've been so busy lately, I would love to do this for you, but not sure when I can get it done! Writing it down on my list. I'd like to have this info too. Unfortunately , what I come up with might not be useful to you though because I only have impldoll star and idol bodies and a Resinsoul, their largest body. Not really the more popular bodies out there :doh

    9. While I'm here...(sorry I can't contribute to current topic as I have no knowledge at all of Feeple65 males.)

However here is Angela with sleeping face plate ... :D

    12. Hi, I’m Abel. Freelance graphic designer & toy artist, and ex-staff of CP/Fairyland.
This is my first time to writing text on DOA. Nice to meet you!
As a freelancer, sometimes I still work for CP/FL.
Anyway, Here’s the video of new F65 I directed! Please enjoy it. :)

    14. Hello Abel, nice to meet you!
I always look forward to the videos when new dolls are released, thank you for making them and thank you for being part of the creative team behind Fairyland. :)

Rozen looks gorgeous, I'm really loving the colour scheme of his outfit and his whole appearance. He would be a nice partner for my F60 Miwa. :love

    15. I wanted to share my beautiful “new” gal - Siean Elf ! I’d been
wanting a natural resin Siean Elf for many years and found her head
on the Marketplace recently. I’ve put her head on an older, modded
Iplehouse SID small bust body. As much as I love the posing of the
Fairyland bodies, I just cannot warm to the huge bust on the Feeple65
(I SO wish Fairyland offered options like they do on the minifee!) - so
was happy to find just Siean’s head. It took some fiddling and a bit of
hot glue, but fitted her headback onto the modded Iplehouse body.

Siean Elf was painted by AngelToast. Her eyes are 14mm Gumdrops in
Turquoise. The crystal necklace was made for MA Cissy many years ago.

Siean is wearing the first gown I’ve made for her - in a sky blue velvet.
I did a few tweaks to my normal construction - I’ve time to experiment
again and thankfully these tweaks worked out. I will probably make silk
chiffon drapes for under her sleeves and down the back as well.

    16. Hello!
I have a question about Carol, is there any difference between the sculpt of Feeple60 Carol and Feeple65 one?

      • x 1
    17. @chenedelic I would at a guess say the main difference between any face mold with F60 and F65 versions is going to be head cap vs face plate. I only have home my Rick for for f65 dolls, and he has a face plate like my Chic-line guys. Where as my f60 guys and girl all have heads like scaled up MNF with the classic head cap system.

      • x 2
    18. I was searching this thread for info on the F65 Sarang head I got with my F65 Rick. He's my first F65 so I don't have any experience with FL's big dolls and now I've heard that FL has changed the face connector for the F65 dolls.
Does that mean my F65 Sarang face plate won't fit the new face connector and I won't be able to use it if I buy a new body???
      :?

    19. Don't worry! The headback was changed before your faceplate came out - your Sarang faceplate will work with the "new" headback.

      • x 2
    20. Oh good! Thanks so much. I was thinking of trying to sell the face plate but I decided it's too pretty and I must keep it :love

    21. My Siean Elf has a new necklace - sterling silver Evenstar!
I found some gorgeous people earrings - and used one to make her
a necklace. I’d been looking for something like this for a long time.
The chain is also sterling silver.
I’m so very happy that I found her head - and love how she works
on the Iplehouse SID body. The small bust really suits her ‘feel’.
She’s wearing a new medieval gown that I’ve made for her - this
one is in dance fabric - color “Tropical”. Wonderful slinky fabric!

    22. She is so pretty and the clothes you make for her are beautiful! I love the color of her dress. You’re really talented!

    23. So pretty...love her dress and jewellery!

    24. Gorgeous!!! And that dress!! Love its design and colour! :love

    25. Thought I'd drop in, it's been a long while. Today, Amani received her big fur baby, Jade:

    27. Her cat is amazingly real looking! What a beautiful doll she is too!

    28. Before Ingrid came, Sean was my favorite F65 sculpt, and even now, she's probably just as lovely to me. Your's is stunning, congratulations, she's gorgeous!

    29. Has anyone seen Rosens coming home? Mine still "processing" But I saw some of his event heads on market a few days ago :(

    30. Mine is on a layaway, and no word on it yet. DDE often sends a "do you want to pay off early?" email if a doll comes in before a layaway is up.
I'm looking forward to owner pix as a tide me over for my Rosen and event heads. XD

    31. I ordered in the first week, 'cuz it was love at first sight. No word yet, but full set, tan, so could take a while.

Please post pics, anyone who gets theirs.

      :cake:

      • x 2
    32. I came here to ask also if anyone has started to get their Rozens yet. :XD: I just paid off my layaway with DDE. I ordered a “basic” fullset because I really just wanted the outfit for another doll, and I was thinking I’d sell the doll on, but then I saw his event head (an elf, of course) so now I’m torn about getting rid of him or possibly keeping him instead! Even though I really don’t have room for yet another big boy! :doh:lol: But I just can’t resist those elves! :kitty1

    33. I have F60’s but I have never seen an F65 in person. Does anyone have a size comparison pic? And did Chloe ever come in a human version? I have only seen her with Elf ears.

    34. Was there an event faceplate with Chloe with human ears? Im pretty sure there was with Roke.

I’ll have to see if I have a pic of F60 and F65 together.

      • x 1
    35. I believe they did create a human Chloe at one point however while you wait to see if someone can say for sure you might like to look at a friend's albums...she has some modified Chloes made into humans :) They are so beautiful...

    36. Thank you for that *wonderful* link of gorgeous Chloes @LyanneNZ !!! I really enjoyed
looking at those amazing faces! I’ve wished for an F65 Chloe for a long time and have
finally ordered an F60 Chloe since the Chloe Elf is so ellusive.

Your Amani and Jade are gorgeous @Nikki'sNewObsession !! Where ever did you find
the amazing Jade?? Both of them have stunning faces!!

I did make my Siean Elf a new fantasy gown. This fabric is super slinky and has silver
threads throughout. I had some iridescent silvery fabric and decided to add gores to
the skirt and made a new draped sleeve to go with a more fantasy look too. Just
not at all sure if red is a good color for Siean tho….

Feeple65 Siean Elf head on older, modified Iplehouse SID body, small bust.

    37. This gown is stunning and it really suits her!

So glad you enjoyed Ellen's Chloes! They are all really beautiful!

    38. Is there anyone with the new female body able to comment on how well it poses? I kinda like how the body looks and I am considering an Ingrid for next year..

    39. Anyone else have an incoming Rozen?
DD shipping is always so slow! Estimated delivery Tuesday.
      Arriving by stagecoach, I think.
Will post pix when he's here.
      :XD:

    40. Gratz @petiteballerine I can't wait to see pix of yours.
DDE told me my layaway came in, but I can't pay it in full just yet, so it will be a bit before I get my boys.
At least I know fully what I am doing with his smirking elf version, I'm going to make Puck from Gargoyle. Might even see I can put it on the feeple 60 male body, but 100% I am making Puck with the event head.

    41. my Rozen has arrived. The funniest part of him is his pants. They don't fit at all and always fall down o_o

    42. Oooh, he's very handsome!! I like the sculpt even more seeing it blank! Love his lips especially :chibi Congrats!

    43. I hope it speeds up! I think DD (DenverDoll is what I'm assuming that acronym stands for.) used to have choices for shipping like Priority Mail or FedEx Express, but they ship all dolls with UPS Ground which can take ~forever~.

Please post your Rozen when he arrives!

      • x 1
    44. How do you feel about the body posing wise? I'm considering a Rozen even though I am mostly in Iplehouse land..

    45. Honestly I'm not sure if I like this body or not. I bought this guy mostly as a fiance to my Iplehouse SID girl. But he looks as a teenager for me, not as a grown man. As for posing - he is much more posable than Feeple65 girls. That's most positive point for me. He needs to be restringed, +eyes and wig...I hope to start play with him in 1-2 months ahead :sweat

      • x 1
    46. @Haven_Of_Dolls336 I have the body from my Rick, and I love it, which is why I ordered Rozen. However it's kind of scrawny but also has muscles. In real life I've known a few 20 somethings guys with builds like that. Personally I get dancer vibes from the body. Next to my SID model men it looks small, but next to a feeple60 boy it looks normal. (that makes my feeple60 boys look like teens and the f65 a grown adult.)
As for posing I really love how most of my fairyland dolls pose/hold poses.

      • x 1
    47. Thank you both! I may just stick with my YID boy for my SID girl, I had been thinking about switching either him around or the SID Dean I was going to get for a Luts SDF65 girl on the shorter body.

    48. The stagecoach from Denver was delayed and supposedly arriving tomorrow. (wednesday)
I bought this boy to be a character in a story: thin, muscular, but very pale. Oops. I couldn't resist tan.
      :wiggle

    49. Sorry to parachute in here with a request, but I was wondering if anybody with an old Normal F65 body (the non-muscular one) could share a photo of the inside channel of the forearm (where the elbow piece connects to the forearm) and also the knee -> lower leg channel? Thank you!!!

    50. Just thought I'd pop in with a reference photo of a Delf/Feeple65 hybrid! I was swapping around my F65 bodies recently and it turns out my Delf Moon matches one of them really well! I had him on the muscular one before, but the slightly leaner body works better aesthetically and this body is more yellowed so the resin match is quite good. I'm so pleased!! :chibi His name is Saturn, thus the censor image :XD: Someday I'd like to sculpt a nicer residual limb (he's an amputee), but for now it's always covered by a shirt.

@Serraphym, mine has pliver sueding in the joints, would that still be helpful to you? As you can see, my dude only has one arm so I can easily take a photo of the other arm's pieces lol, but the sueding might make it hard to see what's going on in the joint.

      • x 7
    51. That would be, thank you! I'm mostly curious about the resin channel for the arm, and anything I can surmise about the bottom knee joint!
Also, Moon on the body looks spectacular! This is the hybrid I would love one day!!!

    52. @Serraphym Here are some photos of the elbow and knee joints. I don't know what you're up to but I hope it helps :XD:

Nothing special about the elbow IMO. The left piece is actually part of the upper arm and just allows it to swivel, but you can also pull it out to make the arm bend further than 90 degrees. The knee is much more complicated. There are two pieces inside the leg: a knee cap, and the actual ball joint. The ball joint has a little o-ring system so you can remove the calf and foot without disassembling the whole doll. If only Fairyland had ever taken advantage of this and made some fantasy legs  Now that I think of it, I wonder if the new F65 body kept this knee design?

    53. Thank you!!! This was incredibly helpful

    54. I ordered a blank Rozen in stock at DDE to get the new Feeple65 body. I love how it looks in the photos and it will match well with my other 65cm boy. I’m going to be putting an older Delf head on it and I’m so excited!

      • x 2
    55. My Rozen is due to arrive today! Via UPS ground. Which means they’ll just drop it on my front porch and leave it sit in the rain for hours before I get home from work. :sigh Hopefully I’ll get there before it does.:XD:

    56. I just got a new-to-me hybrid Soom/FL65 boy today and @overlordu your pic of the lower leg part was enlightening as I struggled mightily to get his legs strung together and had no idea what the O-rings in the bag of pieces were for. I need to string him tighter (but that's a tomorrow job) so that pic is definitely helpful for tomorrow's adventure.

I do have a question though and I hope somebody here can say yea/nay on it. I will start with full disclosure in that I utterly HATE mag parts with the fiery passion of 10,000 burning suns. I will grudgingly accept the mag parts for this new guy because he's freaking gorgeous and OOAK due to his vitiligo dye job. However, the mag arm attachment in his chest sucks giant balls and I hate it even more passionately than mag parts in general and he's literally been strung together in my hot little hands for about 4 hours. I do not see my intense dislike for this attachment situation changing.

Can I string his arms in the normal way (1 elastic running from wrist to wrist), removing that funky piece, without it... I dunno, making his arms hang weird or something? I need to tighten his torso elastic a LOT so I'm basically re-stringing him tomorrow so completely re-doing his arms isn't a huge deal although my hands will likely have a very different idea of that.

    57. I've tried twice now to share pics of my tan Rozen, but flickr isn't cooperating.

He poses very well, and the slim body is nice. Love his coat and boots.

I have Rho and Roke who look like a different company's dolls next to the new guy. Pics when I figure out how.

      meanwhile, here's cake :cake:

      • x 3
    58. @Iron_Dog I'm glad the photos were helpful! Restringing the old F65s as intended is incredibly annoying. I disassembled one, and when trying to put him back together, I thought I could string him from the knees up... As in, loop the elastic through the o-rings first, then move upwards. But I couldn't figure it out. So in the end I had to string as normal starting at the neck, then painstakingly clamp the elastic at the knee with hemostats, and thread the o-ring on. VERY annoying. Assembling the arm magnets is also very fiddly and annoying, though I do like the end result. (Very handy for clothing changes when a shirt is a bit too tight to slide over those wide shoulders! Just pop off his arms, stick them into the shirt sleeves, then put the shirt on the body and pop the arms back in )

The good news is you can assemble him the traditional way and there's not really a downside. You can even string his legs normally and disregard the o-rings. The thing with the arms is that because the magnet is so strong, it helps the parts grip and hold position. So if you remove the magnet mechanism, the elbow will still pose nicely, but the shoulder does tend to slip around, so he can't hold his arm up very well (if at all). My dolls just stand around in boring poses anyway, but if you suede his shoulder socket it will fix that issue. :D

@petiteballerine Ohhh please, I'm dying to see old and new F65s next to each other!!! If you're on a desktop computer, here's how I post from flickr: On the photo's page, click the download button (the downward pointing arrow). Choose "View all sizes". Right click the image, choose "Copy image address". Then on DoA, click the "Image" button and paste in the URL! Not sure how to do it on a mobile device, but I hope this helps! :sweat
