Thanks! And I love this wig on him too, it's a Monique Gold Label "Buttercup" in red and black. Crazy part is it's only a size 7/8 wig, I think his head is 8 even, but the wig has some stretch so who knows /shrug

Side note my camera on my phone can not do his face up justice his lips are like a male version of the Evil Queen from Disney's Snow White. They are full, deep, and rich and almost a wine color. /swoon

 

Unfortunately, my Rick will come without face up. I'll be doing it myself until I can afford a pro

 

@IngieBee I’m pretty sure FL is not a fan of people hybriding their dolls with parts from other companies, which is why they don’t sell neck connectors and make it easy on us lol. I usually remove them and plonk a Soom head on there instead xD Which is why I’m itching to see these new bodies with hybrid heads so I can get a better sense of how they might look ^^

I'm disappointed that FL decided to rework jhis body, as they did make him thinner, and my other dolls are burly. I knew he'd be a wimp next to them, so every bit they took away just makes it a bit worse. But humans come in different sizes, and sometimes girls tower over boys, right?

 

@IngieBee You can not call the new body on Rick whimpy, it has a ton of muscle tone. Lean yes, thin yes, but not a whimp, dude has abs for days. My camera washed my boy out but like if he was body blushed it'd show up. I got him in skinny jeans that set low on his hips and it's like "hello male nurse" *eyebrow wiggle* (the kids that get that ref will get that ref)

 

OK, you're right, I can't say wimp, he'll just be small next to my 70cm plus size dolls, but I am hoping he'll look good with my 65cm boy. I'm hoping they'll be buddies

And I just saw my Rick has shipped from DDE . Yay, didn't even know he had arrived

I've got a big size range over here my biggest male doll makes all the others seem small cuz it's a Titan. However as for Sin (my Rick) and how he looks next to the other dolls. I got him sitting with two on my sofa, He's by one of my f60 Alan which makes that doll look like 5'4". So if we say Rick is 5'9" then the Iplehouse SID model that is also sitting with him looks like he's an inch or two taller then Sin. Also makes the SID seem more of a body builder type. Making Sin look like he has a dancer's build or something. I should do some sizing shoots one of these days with my army. XD

I like having a good mix of body types and heights in my dolls, I'm really loving the feeple65 body Sin has.

 

Agreed, it's normal for people to be completely different sizes, I just don't have a ton of boys... yet. But I've been growing my numbers.

The new F65 body just disappoints me because SO many doll bodies are really thin. The old F65 muscle bodies was one of the few that had a kind of plumpness to the muscles, it doesn't look tight or tense, you know? It was muscular while looking relaxed and soft, without the bulk of say Iplehouse boys. I guess all that to say that it was unique. I feel like the new body has a similar aesthetic to a lot of other boy bodies in this size. (Though I'm sure it poses better than those other bodies)

 

The older muscular body looked more mature. A man's body fills out and widens as he approaches 30. The new F65 body looks like he's maybe in his early 20s. I'm uninterested in most doll lines because I can't find mature masculine guys. I want dolls that look like grown men, not like barely-legal teenagers. I settled for Rick (actually Sarang22) because it's what I could get as the older bodies never come up for sale. I figure I can pad his skinny body out with clothes and armor.

 

I agree with both of you, but my Rick will be a young surfer dude with bleached hair, so he'll be fit for purpose.

 

DDE Sent me a shipping notification 3 days ago and ups still doesn't have it or doesn't have tracking. Is ups messed up lately?

 

I find UPS tracking can be slow to update every once in a while, also pretty sure they do not work Sundays or Mondays. Hopefully you'll get an update soon, and your Rick will get to you swiftly.

 

I just don't want him sitting outside all day n night not knowing he arrived

 

I'm curious to know... Does the new Feeple65 male body's arms come out like the old one? I would love to have the option of putting a robot arm in there.

 

So my Rick arrived, he is gorgeous! He is tan and has no faceup yet.

And if you want to see more pictures of the event head, I know it can be both a boy or a girl, but I see Barbera Feldon's face and I have to make a mid 60's mod chick out of this gorgeous face. I could have made a boy, but I love Barbara Feldon, so I can't resist!

I'm good at choosing a palette and leaving the rest to the pro...lol

Oh yes, Angeltoast is awesome, she did all my artist dolls. I wish I could paint like that, but my work is pretty amateurish

 

Yes, at this point, she's painted all but three of my dolls, and one of the three has a default from fl, so I would like to send her to AT next year.

Amateur or not, its great that you have the ability. And you'll get better and better the more you do it.
What color palette or look are you going for with these two?

 

@IngieBee Oh I love his sculpt blank especially in tan. I'm not sure if I would've loved my Rick more if I had gotten him in tan. His default face up makes him look more gaunt than expected in NS.

 

LOL, I have no idea @Nikki'sNewObsession. I'm really no artist. I hope they'll look OK, then I try on wigs for the right color (a plus for having been in the hobby so long is having lots of wig colors to try on, no?) Then I find the right color clothes, and start the musical outfit game (with everyone switching around, LOL

I love the tan too @PaeoniaDrop , even blank with no outfit, he was hard to afford, but there was no way I was going to miss out on him as long as I was breathing, so I got what I could get, right? LOL

Thank you. yes ingrid is very versatile. even those with default face ups look different from each other, based on style.
I intentionally asked that her brows be neutral so I can switch up her hair color when the mood suits me

Yes, Amani is easily my alpha/most favorite. Ingrid's smizing eyes are my favorite detail to the sculpt.

@LyanneNZ - Thank you! It took me over a year to get her whole fullset out of the packaging...but everything is really nice! The dress is nice in that the fabric is very drapy and the cut of the hem is nice as it allows for volume but still shows off her legs and boots.

And I have a question about new feeple65 boy body. Does anyone have a comparison photo of Rick next to SD girls and boys of other companies? I wonder does he look short next to regular SD boys or it's just me who used to 70+ dolls

@salvarion I have a Rick on the new 65 body, but do not have any pix of him with any of my other dolls. He looks good next to some of my other 63 to 65 male dolls. (Been doing a lot of cleaning and rearranging rooms over here or I'd offer to take a photo or two.)

He's SO gorgeous?? I'm upset! I don't want to want more bigger dolls! I thought I was good with the big ones I have... At the risk of my wallet, how easy is the F65 boy body to dress? Do they fit like, SD17 clothes pretty reliably? The current version, I mean!

Saw that new guy and here I am to gush about him. His promo photos are giving me such Soom Amber vibes from back in the day...and I am weeeeaaaak.

I really wasn't planning any more dolls! Ack! Hahaha.

I also came to gush. Have slowed to a crawl with doll acquisitions. Still play, though.
And, unsuspecting, I went to a group on FB. There he was, from my favorite company. Cerberus Project, just when I thought you were getting predictable.
I do love the old, fleshier males. But, lean is lovely.
And.... birthday on the horizon.

 

Not to enable some, but the new 65 body is fairly easy to dress. My guy fits a range of stuff for sizes 63cm, SD17, and one shirt for a slimmer 68 boy I have. Right now Sin is in the leather straps from his Rick full set and some jeans that I have that were for "SD" and seemed big on 63cm dolls, but are tight on some of my thicker 65 boys.

Note I do not have the old 65 body, just the new one so can't say how it is vs that. I can say it is on the slim and short side for 65cm, and that might be why Sin seems to fit into everything I try him in so magically. I have a resin army so a good stockpile of random outfit bits in assorted sizes. (Random side note Feeple60 boys can wear some stuff for Smart Doll girls.)

I keep looking at Rozen, the new 65body reminds me of a Viera male from FF14, and his face looks a bit like a couple of my FF14 characters. I might actually be doomed.

 

well, I'm tired to gush...
I feel that FL does not care about the old memebers.
I still like FL face but I do not like the new body, looks so skinny!
And F65 old body can wear SD17 clothes that made by Volks.

 

My Roke and tan Rho wear Souldoll clothes, too. Rozen will have fun 'shopping' in the home stash.
I do wonder why all the new dolls are so skinny. They used to have the prettiest legs.
I want it all.
