Fairyland Feeple 65 Discussion Part 6

@Chameleon - yes, Roke and Chloe were even offered as a pair for a special price. That's how I bought them, and they're still with me.
I'd love another 65 man. Though I'd love him in tan. My tan CPs have aged so beautifully, not yellow, just a little darker.
I doubt they took Ingrid's popularity in consideration for this release. They must have at least a year lead time to create concepts and get things organized for each new doll.

Welp, I did make my very first Tibetan wig. I've had this a long time, and never did anything with it. I was surprised I could eek out enough for my Ingrid. I love her in it, but it needs more styling. I just don't know how I want it too look at the moment, so I'm kind of playing with it

 

And these two, will FL ever offer the boys again? They're so awesome and uniquely FL though not as cutesy as F60, and I love that! I need at least one good looking guy F65 or F70, no prob either way!!!

 

Can anyone confirm if the F60 heads fit on the new F65 body? I'm assuming so but would like confirmation...

 

@Cauldroness The F60 will attach onto the F65 body, but it won't look very good. At least my Sionna doesn't. This is because the way the head sits on the neck. The F65 head sits lower, her chin sinks down, making the proportions look good. The F60 head sits on top of the neck, which is slightly wider though they use the same mechanism, and it makes the neck look way too long.

It would require modification of the neck to lower and possibly thin it out a bit on the top.

I am also not sure if Sionna is a smaller head, or bigger head, I think she looks a LOT smaller than my Lishe, but FL never produced Lishe, so I don't know older F60s would look better on the F65 body.


So how long do you think it'll be before they put Medusa up for sale? She is so pretty!!!

 

All Delfs were cast by CP/Fairyland, never by Luts. So technically yes, Fairyland did produce them. (This is the reason that Luts and CP resin don't match)

The newer F60 heads tend to be smaller than the older F60 heads, but those which are the same sculpt are generally the same size (some newer ones can actually be larger given newer molds). There is no size difference between my F60 Lishes and my older Delf Lishes. If you're interested in the comparisons, then you can find a comparison of my F60 Nanuri A (NS) and my 06 Elf Lishe (WS) here and one of my F60 Lishe (WS) and a Delf Lishe Type 2 (NS) here.

But older F60s and Delfs look the same on the F65 bodies as your picture shows.

I need some help. I’ve got an Ingrid incoming currently from DDE and I want to make her into Lady Maria from Bloodborne so I need a more realistic eye size. What size should I go for?

 

@Galahndriel , that would be awesome, especially if they put out a hunky man! LOL Maybe they want to concetrate on F65 while they retool the Feeple60s? And minifees, shoot so many minifees being discontinued

 

I used 12mm (actually 14mm with a small Iris, I think) in Sylvia for a realistic look!

 

Yes, I also use 14mm small iris for my Sylvia.

 

I agree with above. Socket needs 14, but small iris will make for a more realistic look. I don't have my Ingrid's proper eyes yet, so don't judge by my photos, LOL

I wonder if tan will be available for the Feeple65 this time? Seem like it may not the usual cases but Fairyland been throwing the Feeple65 for a loop lately. In a great way of course. Just not for my wallet. Lol I would need 2 feeple65 order or at least 1 order of a tan Medusa and part of a split order for a NS Medusa if that is the case.

 

I actually plead with them for it. It doesn’t seem likely but if more people email them, they might consider it.

 

I'm going to need to email them as well. They did that with the heel feet and #12 hands. It would be amazing if that happens. I been itching for a tan doll after I sold my only SD tan doll a few years ago.

 

It would be nice if they made the skin of the doll into a tan.

 

To be honest, I don't think they'll do it this time because if they did, they would have had it as their main picture. But yes we should spam them with requests! Personally if there's going to be a tan, I'd love it for it to be available on a boy. Better still, I would love to see a Lishe and a boy next time! But who am I kidding? I won't be able to afford two dolls at once!

 

Hello. I am new here. I recently bought a feeple 65 Ingrid from Fairyland. Unfortunately, the right leg below her knee has a broken piece. However, they sent me an spare part to replace it. The only problem I have is that I am not sure how to replace that part. I attached a diagram here. The feeple 65 body is a new release so the part is different from the old one. Old one has a ring. New one has "two parts" as you can see in the diagram. Can anyone help me what to do? Thanks.

 

Hm, from the diagram you posted, to replace the shin you should be able to take off the foot. Then separate the ankle into the bottom magnet part and the ball part. Looks like the magnet has the hook, so unhook that from the elastic, remove the ball and shin, and then string on the new shin. I admit I haven't had to unstring my Sylvia, but I'm glad it looks less complicated than my Chicline! She has the rings and I am doing my best to just not mess with them.

 

Yes, @toonleap , It's like Lady Ravenwood says, But if you want to have an idea on how to do it, read on otherwise, I just talk too much! so ignore me, LOL :

Because the foot is attached by a magnet, it essentially is no help in this endeavor, so put it aside. Get a long strong ribbon. This bead of an ankle is not going to give you much to hang on to, but the goal is 1. not to damage it, and 2. to thread the ribbon through the center of the chord loop which is hooked on the ankle still. After that, you can pull on the chord with the ribbon and unhook the ankle piece without (hopefully) damaging it. Now slowly allow the chord to retract into the leg. As each piece comes off, note the direction and lay them out so you can reassemble them in the right direction and correct order. Only take out until you get the piece to replace, then thread those pieces back onto the chord using the ribbon (oh I forgot to tell you to make it a good long ribbon that is at least the length of the whole doll when doubled over) Now with all the pieces back on the string, pull on the ribbon until the chord pops out enough to re-hook the ankle piece on, allow that to settle into place without letting go (don't want it to break) and you're ready to put on the foot again.

Hope that helped. It really helps to have someone help you, even if it's just to unhook the ankle and rehook it again because those two things need to be done while stretching the chord.

 

I am still waiting for the replacement shin. Hopefully in 3 weeks. After reading your tips, I was checking the part you mentioned. Is this where the hook is located? The magnet? It is so tight...Thanks @IngieBee and @Lady Ravenswood for the tips.

 

Yes, there are two pieces there. The dome covers the hook inside. Get the ribbon in there first and give yourself room to work by pulling out the chord. It will be tight, hopefully not too tight! After threading the ribbon between the chord, you can also try threading it through the ankle cap so you can pull directly up and have easier access to the hook, but it all depends on what ends up being easier. Hope that's helpful and not confusing good luck!!!

Does anyone care to speculate how long Fairyland will offer a basic Feeple65 Ingrid?

I’m really close to pulling the trigger but am wondering if I should wait for the winter event to snag a head (I’ve seen that in the past the winter event has started around the 15th of December). I just don’t want to wait too long and have her be discontinued (I’m not familiar with how long specific Feeple65 sculpts are kept around).

What do you folks think?

I don't know, @ittybittykittyz , but Denver doll emporium says they only one left. I don't know what that means, but if you really want to get one, you may want to do a layaway rather than wait??

 

I think that's just the in-stock Ingrid. Looks like pre-order page is still up for her. But I do wonder if she will get taken down when Medusa goes up. Maybe ask Denver doll specifically @ittybittykittyz ?

FYI I did buy mine at DDE, using their 6 month layaway though I managed to pay it off early. You have to put 30% down, but at the price range I bought (the blank doll) you can have a 6 month layaway. Anyways, just in case that's helpful in enabling you to go into debt, and get another Ingrid, LOL (and spam lots of pictures!!!) I should give my girl another faceup, but there is something about her silly lashes I find funny and adorable though her brows... nothing good in them, LOL From a distance though, it's not too bad

I just made a comparison picture of the two Angelas. I prefer closed mouths, so the first version, but I love the more closed eyes on the new version, it's a toss up which one is more perfect, but yah, ugh, don't release until summer please, Fairyland!!!

 

And while I'm at it, my Lora got her new wig yesterday, it's a Monique Destiny and she's going to dress up like a mod girl Her big eyes and light lips scream mod to me, ever since I got her

Well…I did a thing and ordered Ingrid who will be my first Feeple65! I wanted to wait until Medusa’s release to see more photos of her, but I’ve been pining over Ingrid for months. Also I was unsure if Ingrid would be discontinued once the event drop. She should hopefully arrive by Thursday or Friday~ Still kicking myself because I said no more dolls and LOL that didn't work out...

For those that own both F65s and F60s, was it a big adjustment for you or not much? I’m a little nervous haha.

THIS! I would love/hate if they did this too, because I would be flat broke by the end of it. Especially if they rereleased a new fullset Chloe, Roke, or Siean. *dies*

 

@Aquadoe I really don't notice a difference as I've gotten a lot of big girls now... and I dunno, the F65 is not as easy to pose as the moe or F60, the legs gotta get pushed back, and then at least half the time they don't "click" LOL. But I love the look, we need more hands though! She's not that heavy though not like my big Supiadoll 65 or Impldoll Stars.

 

@IngieBee Thank you for sharing~ I think I'll be okay once she's actually here, but it's still new territory lol. More hands would be awesome. Maybe there is hope for some with all the attention they've been giving the line? But yeah I've read about getting their legs to click and posing not being as easy as F60s or Minifees. Hopefully she's not too difficult of a model for me as I'm going to want to take tons of pictures lol. That said I'm excited for her arrival. ^_^

 

I forgot to ask earlier, but do you guys have any favorite shops to get clothes or shoes for your Feeple65s?

I saw Iplehouse SID clothes tend to fit them well, but still looking around and learning what might fit them.

 

@Aquadoe , I bought linen slacks that are made like Jeans but not denim, the thinner linen makes them move perfectly. They are mid rise, that is they come to just below her belly button (not low rise) they fit super well, made for F65, she can even sit in them, though like all jeans, they tighten up on her but she can do it and they don't pull down too bad in the back, actually a lot like it would do on a human wearing non-stretch pants (hey anyone remember those?) They were from GlamouriaDollClothes on etsy. Otherwise she is currently wearing a t-shirt or sweatshirt from TTYA. I'm sure their tops would fit well as well. If you want to do something fantasy / fancy / even Victorian, KatushkaStyle . It may be expensive, but dang, well worth it!!! Impeccable work! Katushka is also here on DoA. And Olga Borontova, a member here, owns CityOfMastersStudio and knits exquisite works! I mean, she does fairisle and intarsia TO SCALE, frankly I haven't had extra funds lately to buy one of her sweaters, but for the price, no matter how fast she knits, it's a steel IMO !!!

And everyone who makes amazing clothes seem to be either from Russia or the Ukraine, sometimes Polish, I think these areas still have the best craftspersons willing to monetize their work. I think next year I'm going to try and spend my extra funds buying what I can from such people because it's not going to last! And I am totally sounding like a commercial but I wish I could support them more So spreading the word about their good quality works, well, I hope it helps them

I'm always amazed by so many people's amazing skills! I've been searching Etsy and found a few sellers. I did order her something simple to start out with but with it being overseas and the holidays she'll be waiting a while for proper clothes. But I agree, I'd love to save up too and support some of the creators on Etsy next year.

 

Ooh, so on the clothing topic, I know SD16 clothing have been suggested, but I honestly have no luck with it. Is there a trick to the type of SD16 clothing that fits Feeple65 girls?

I own SD16 girls, so I pulled a dress out tonight to try. I thought it might be a good candidate because it's stretchy jersey material but.... while it did go on and close...my poor Sylvia looked like she was about to Hulk out of it any moment.
Her bust also fell far below the point of the seams sewn for fit. And there were gaps between every single snap on the back. So...no luck. I was hoping it would work out because the style would be lovely on her. She went into a Christmas dress I have sew in the past instead. Hehe. Figured I'd take advantage of the season.

She does fit into SD16 shoes though! Just as long as you don't mind that they will get stretched out a little bit. But I had a pair that had already been stretched by a previous owner by being worn over fullset socks that came with them, so works out. Hehe.

 

Well, MAYBE Iplehouse SID clothing will fit. I have this outfit that is made for Iplehouse SID from SartoriaJ . It's a complete pain in the butt to put on, and frankly the sleeves are too long for my SID as well. The pants are a tight squeeze to get on, and laced up in the back. Once on, they're fine. Except that not just the F65 but all the dolls will eat the shorts into their ball joint.

Ugh, really, this outfit's top is stretchy, and I did close the arm bands (like old fashioned bra tighteners) so the cups would tighten around her breasts. I think Iplehouse would have a smaller and more natural chest. So it ain't the best example unfortunately, but here are some pictures. Please note, I'm in the process of going through fabrics n stuff, and my cutting table is a complete mess!!!

I almost bought a outfit from Volks that's SD16, but I'll hold off for now. Your pictures are super helpful @IngieBee ~ I ordered a dress, top and shorts from SartoriaJ. Whenever that stuff arrives, I'll be sure to take some reference pictures.

They actually look a lot closer than I thought they would in the photo, but the Sylvia is just generally thicker all around: waist, thighs, bust, hips. I did try to line up their feet so they were level.
