Fairyland Feeple 65 Discussion Part 6

Sep 24, 2019

    1. @Stardust- Firelight, I know this is not an optimal solution but if you want to try, you can build your own like this:

First, you will need , well I use Apoxy putty, a styrofoam egg or ball cut to fit inside the head and give form, plastic wrapto protect the original head, and either you build it to attach to the body like "normal" BJDs or you can get this mechanism from Shapeways , which might help you with forming this head back. And finally some magnets.

Basically, you stuff the the putty on top of the neck, or use a stick with just the right dome on top cover it all in plastic wrap.

Then push the head in place ( no styrofoam yet, all resin wrapped in plastic wrap), squish the face on how you want it and clean up excess/ smooth the joints. Water can be used to smooth things with your fingers, but don't mix water into the putty as it'll probably weaken it, once you get the neck and chin done, make sure it's thick enough inside and carve out the slot and knot hole. You may also want to create a divet for the hook to sit in, or wait to locate the optimal spot and grind it in, or make 3 divots for choices. Keep the socket evenly domed for best results. At this point u can let it cute and add to it later. Add the styrofoam into the head, smooth side out. Then, work your way up the head smoothing out a crown. It sets in about 45 minutes, I think. You can add to your work, just let the neck set, then make a fresh batch of putty for the next step This putty is super durable, it has a bit of flex. I made super long elf ears with it, they can actually bend! Well, more like flex. Hard to break!

Edit, don't use an adapter unless you have the matching head piece.

    2. Drill a hole for your magnet, super glue in, adjust hooks if you squeezed putty in them (might cause trouble, maybe cover hook spots and do something else so this thing doesn't end up perminently attached!

Anyway, it's easier than you think, just protect your head and body, and you will be surprised at what you can make :thumbup

      Just bumping this up because
      1. Probably nobody is subscribed to this thread since it was created, and I'm hoping to get attention ;):bump

And 2. I just bought a Lora head off the marketplace :). She comes with the open eye and sleeping head plates and the head back. I will need to get her a body now, but I am quite excited to see her. I believe she has the factory Faceup???

Anyways, if anyone sees this thread, and can post pictures of their dolls, I'd be so happy to see them :)

    3. If it's any help, I am subscribed to the thread! :XD: I'm traveling right now and have no means of uploading any photos, but I'm waiting on an Ine to arrive and I'm very excited :D

    4. Awesome! Looking forward to some pictures when you are able :love. Safe travels to you, @Yuns

Well, I bought a Lora head set off the marketplace last week and she arrived today!!! I am in the process of making a neck doughnut for her so I can try her head out on another doll's body I have here. I hope to take pictures tomorrow??? :dance

    5. And here is my first quicky picture. Wig doesn't fit, but I like the color. :). I guess she'll borrow this body until I can get her her own :dance

    6. She is lovely. I do love her with that wig. It's funny. Some wig look so good on a certain doll that even if it's big on them, you somehow make it work cause they refuse to relinquish it.

    7. @IngieBee She looks stunning! Very nice color on the wig too. Congrats! I am so glad we get to see more people own these beautiful large dolls.

      FL gripe warning ahead:

Not hating on mnfs (I own Sircca and Lucywen), but I can't lie and say it doesn't massively disappoint me whenever I see an announcement of a new doll being released only to find out it's another dang mnf or yosd.
I understand why of course. Financial reasons mainly, I get it. I just wish it weren't so.
Bottom line: I want to see more new F65 dolls (Especially a new male! Seriously how long have we been waiting for that?)

I want to shout out to the people who have contacted FL directly regarding the line and posting their responses here.
It helps me make decisions on where to place my money or save it in hopes that FL will go back to the F65 line.
Another shout out to the people who have explained how to mod the necks or posted body comparison photos between the old and new features.
Thank you so much for doing that! :thumbup This community is the best!

      • x 6
    8. Yes the community can be great at helping out.

Here is Ember. Just cause I Iike her many different looks. I do love F65 Chloe and here is one that was modded with human ears.

    9. I can't help but agree with you, @Bren I've been waiting for an F65 sale for 3 years now (wasn't into large dolls before that).

All I have are the neck back and two faceplates, but I am really happy to have her. She is so different.

      And Chloe is so gorgeous!

    10. Not only are they all MSD/YoSDs... they all have the same face.... I once went into the al a carte section for the MNF, and the last 20 or so heads look the same.

I do remember once when Fairyland promised to release all of their heads in all the sizes... I'm still waiting for my F65 and Pukifee Lishes...

Here's a shot of the last time Fairyland attempted to placate the fans of their old sculpts (long story) - my collection of F65 Ital (Breakaway) boys:

    11. I'm on the 65 bandwagon. Lishe 65 would be fun. Elf version plus human head with something sophisticated to wear. I have original Lishe + vamp & sleeping heads & 3 pairs hands. my 1st bjd. 2004. Elf El came along for company. i've never painted his vamp head. :| bad dollie mama.

      • x 1
    12. I admit to having a bit of a thing about Lishe... and I think a Elf version at F65 would be brilliant (that, Pukifee and an Elf Vamp MNF, which apparently was the next one out when the Luts/CP split happened.) Even a Vampire would be cool...

But I freely admit to being biased towards the older sculpts of everything.

    13. Does anyone know what eye size Ine takes please? The eyes mine came with are too big for my taste and I'd love to get her a more fitting pair, but I'm struggling a bit to figure out which size she needs. :sweat

    14. I would imagine it would be at least 14mm? I realize the new style F65 heads are smaller than my Chloe and Siean and that's why I'm assuming it's less than the average 16mm that fit mine. Every style of head is different and even eye sizes can change within the same range.
Have you check the FL website for their specs?

      • x 1
    15. It's either 12mm or 14mm I think, but I'd rather not pay international shipping (and wait ages) twice, and with the exchange rate as it is, buying two of the same eyes in two sizes seems very hard to justify :XD: Which is why I'm hoping someone with an Ine can help me by letting me know which size theirs have on so I can look for a similar eye/iris size. I don't really trust company specs 100% with these things because so often they use overly large eyes :XD:

    16. @Bren
Thanks... ironically all my BAs have a tendency to come in threes... (I have three F65s, 3 F70s and 3 LTF.... but a single MNF and only 2 Chiclines!)

    17. I'd love to see a new 65 mature man like Roke or Rho. (Rho doesn't seem to be popular, but he's so handsome. I have him in tan. great outfit and robo arm)
Roke is still ones of my favorite dolls. that profile! those legs! :blush

    18. @TeaPartyRevolution

Nothing wrong with having such wonderful spares. I say the more the merrier. :3nodding:

@petiteballerine Roke has got to be my favorite one in fairyland. Since the 1st time I saw him long after he was sold out as a dragon I fell for that wonderful face. I was lucky enough to find him.

    19. Why do Fairylnad close F65 line for long long time?:(
It's 2020, I still waiting for Roke, hope Roke will release again.:...(

      • x 2
    20. Right? I would've thought that when they remade the F65 body and head for Sylvia and Ine that they would've taken advantage of selling more dolls like them later. Also if they took the time, expense, and trouble remodeling them why haven't they considered this for the male F65 line that I know people have been wanting for a long while?
Honestly imo it all comes down to cost. Maybe even with the popularity of Sylvia it wasn't enough for them to justify the expense of making more large dolls and also the shipping for them is pricey as well. Hence why will never see an SD centaur from them.
I just wish more companies posted alerts on their selling pages that explained the reasoning of why they aren't offering certain dolls anymore. At least that way they wouldn't have people pestering them with individual messages.
All I ask is for official explanations from FL please! Anything! Something!

    21. Sirrush and Kana not long after they arrived in early 2011.

Stay safe, be smart everyone! :thumbup

    22. I also wish they’d reopen the F65 line. Specifically, I wish they’d fix the boys’ hands! For some reason, they decided to sand off the notches on the inside of the wrists that hold the hands on when you turn them, because the magnets aren’t strong enough to hold the hands on all by themselves! So now my Roke’s hands are constantly trying to fall off and it drives me crazy!

I have to admit that was a really dumbass move on Fairyland’s part. I dunno what they were thinking, doing that. :sigh And since Ryujinn is tan, I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to find a pair of F65 hands with the notches still on to replace the sanded ones. :(

    23. I thought I had heard somewhere that Fairyland was going to be re-doing the Feeple65 boy and having them again this year? I'm not sure where it was I saw that. I really wish they would since they are my favorite bodies, albeit, they do have some issues.

      • x 2
    24. I’d asked Fairyland back when I got Ryujinn whether the hands they sent were damaged, and they told me it was a deliberate change due to some sort of redesign. So ... I suppose they are redesigning the male body? But I wish they would’ve left the hands alone. This was over a year ago, so who knows when they will actually get around to rereleasing the F65 line again.

I also would love to get my hands on an F65 Chloe someday. I had one and sold her and always regretted that.

    25. Oh, I somehow didn't realize this thread was here. Hi! I have a Sylvia. ^__^
Her name is Lili Loveheart and she's a vampire hunter. :chocoheart

    26. Ooh, tan sounds lovely. :chocoheart
My Sylvia is white skin. I have a weakness for white skin dolls for sure.
I'm perpetually on the fence about re-painting her. She has the default faceup. I was lucky to snag her in-stock from DDE. Hehe. It's super lovely, but it would be fun to do my own style. Choices, choices.

And yes, I have to agree that I'm surprised it's been so long since a Feeple65 release (to jump on an earlier topic).

    27. I had ask FL why do they close F65 line for long time, they always say their chief of staff in charge of processing who is still recovering from serious injury. This reason I have seen for two years.:(
Please use 1:1 let FL know that we are still waiting for F65 line.:)
Hope they will release Roke or other F65 boy soon.

      • x 3
    28. I hope, when they do release F65 boys again, it's not on a larger version of the Motion line body. I found it to be too skinny. I miss my muscular Rho I had once upon a time and am dying to have another one.

      • x 1
    29. I really like the choice we had of muscular f65 or normal. the buff one is still sleek. I wish there were a choice of female bods. I ordered new bust Sylvia but received the busty old one. I think because she's tan. at least I got the notched hands.

    30. Hi all. I've been out of the hobby for quite a while and am just starting to get my BJD mojo back! How long has it been since Fairyland had Feeple 65 in production? Siean has always been on my dolly wish-list!

    31. I'm also curious about this, just because I recently browsed through the site and it doesn't seem like there've been too many since I left almost ten years ago :XD:

      Have they discontinued them?

      • x 2
    32. If I recall, when people had asked, they'd said something vague about a rerelease in late 2020. I'd expect everything going on will delay that though...

    33. Oh interesting. When they’ve done re-releases in the past of other lines, do they tend to release other skin tones? A tan would be amazing on these big girls!

    34. I contacted Fairyland about when Feeple 65 might go into production again and this is the response I got...

      Dear XXXXX,
Thank you for your continuous support for FairyLand dolls.

Our chief of staff in charge of processing is still recovering from serious injury and will need more time to recover while managing with currently FairyLand workload.

We will not open any lines or skin colour until he is fully recovered and ask for our customer\'s generous understanding.
      Thank you.

      Kind Regards,
      FairyLand

I see from earlier posts in this thread that they have given this same response before. It does not fill me with hope that I'll be getting a Feeple 65 any time soon! :atremblin

    35. Does anyone contact fairyland recently?
I have try to use 1:1 asking fairyland some question about feeple65 and summer event,
but I have not receive the answer. :atremblin

    36. I contacted them over their Contact Us page just the other day, they replied on the same day. Maybe try that?

    37. Hugh and the New Boy. I also have Carol in tan who looks really charming with little Erda. Once they're dressed up a bit, I'll take some pics of them together.

    39. That new Feeple65 girl is absolutely stunning. She's alluring and has a nice edge to her.
Definitely adding her to my tentative list after I see more photos of her!

    40. Ingrid is now available on their website and it said <new release female body> is that mean it’s a newer version of the feeple65 body or?
she is truly a beauty I’m kinda loving her face so much. :chibi:chibi:chibi

    41. Ingrid is so gorgeous :aheartbea It's so nice to see another feeple65 doll, but I am also wondering about the new release body - -are there any photos of it or measurements floating around yet?

      • x 2
    42. @salvarion
Ah that would make sense, thank you for the link :)

    43. @salvarion thanks for the info, really helpful :chibi

    44. I wonder if the optional hand parts and heel feet will be available as well in the futures? I don't want to buy the fullset just to get the heel feet but look like that's the case at the moment - sold out for heel feet and hand #12 on Fairyland website.

    45. A friend had asked them and they said only if there's enough interested, so if you're interested in the line in general it might be a good idea to message them and register your interest! I know I have. :sweat

      • x 2

    46. What was their announcement about the tan?

    47. I'll definitely do that. I love their feeple65 bodies :love

      • x 1
      • x 1
    48. I’ll do that too. I don’t want to have to order the fullset just to get the heel feet.

    49. That’s what I’m doing and I don’t recommend it.

    50. I really hope fairyland will change their mind and include flat feet with Ingrid... I just emailed them. On another note I asked them about the female Feeple65 no.12 optional hands as well. I need it for my girl, keeping my fingers crossed!

    51. Fairyland replied back and here is the summary of it:
      • "Other option parts will be updated once compatibility checks with the new release F65 body is finished. "
      • Body come with flat feet but we would need to buy the full package set for the heel :(
      • "Previously released F65 head sculpts need to be updated for the new release F65 body and it will be some time until they undergo these changes. Until then, previously released F65 dolls cannot be made available on our website. " - so no Lora and Siean for me :(

From the sound of it, no heel feet or hand #12 until who knows when...

    52. I got the same answer but all I took from it is eventually they will update the older sculpts to the new body. Guess I'm an optimist :XD:

      • x 1
    53. I hope so well! The pessimistic part of me think it won't happen for another 2+years. Maybe it's better for my wallet because I would drop instantly both Lora and Siean in the same order if needed :shudder

    54. I just ordered my Ingrid set and sold my old Feeple65 Chloe (hi @Jglow), and the only off-putting thing is that she's not coming with any flat feet. It wasn't enough to completely deter me but it's still at the back of my mind. I guess I can't get my hands on any now that they have to make some to go with the new body. Hopefully they come out with something soon

    55. Fairyland has confirmed that the fullset comes with flat AND heel feet so no worries there!
