Fairyland Feeple 65 Discussion Part 6

Sep 24, 2019

    1. yeah, I got the same response. But it doesn’t make any sense. Obviously they have the heel feet for this new body since they’re selling them with the fullset.

    2. Yeah that did seem weird. I can only assume it's business strategy to focus sales on the fullset or to prevent time delay in production.

    3. Ingrid is just stunning! Her sculpt/face up is perfect for a character I've been trying to shell for years... except she's just WAY to tall for her :...(

I don't suppose anyone here knows if Feeple65 heads fit on the Feeple60 Moe bodies? Any info would be appreciated!

    4. I wrote to them too to ask about the boys and they said that they needed to be updated before they can be released with a new body, and that it would take some time.

    5. @Magical Rin
The F65s have very different heads than the F60s - (unlike the F70s, which share the same head.) You will also have trouble hybriding, as the F65s have a neck mechanism and faceplate system. I think people have done it - there's a really old thread somewhere on DoA where someone shows what an F60 head looks like on an F65 body (from memory a bit like a pin head).

Here's a shot of my Scar Ital faceplate propped on top of a Delf body. (There were four photos in total if you go to my flickr and scroll to the left once and the right twice).

I can always try to take more photos if you like - I have F65s, as well as F70s, F60s and Delfs.

    6. I once put a Delf Elf Lishe head on an F65 body. The old version. It does fit, a bit of a tight squeeze, and it looked pinheaded (think the chicline look) but with a wig it wasn’t as noticeable.

    7. Super excited for this release :D . I just need to figure out how I'm going to afford her. Does anyone know the ordering period? If I can scrounge up enough for 1 layaway payment I'll be happy

    8. Need help and clarification I’m planning to buy the Feeple 65 Ingrid but I’m confused on what the “new body” means is it the same body as the feeple 65 Sylvia or is it different? Can anybody clarify this for me since I’m really interested in getting the full set but heard stuff that feeple 65 bodies have sitting problems?

    9. I think someone further up in the discussion mentioned that it is the Sylvia body (I only have a Sylvia, so I'm not much help in that regard).

But in terms of sitting, there is a trick to getting the Feeple65 girl body to sit. Once you have her legs bent you need to push them back, toward her butt in the seated position, and they will click lock into place.

    10. "New Body" means that it is different from the body released with the Chloe and other older girls. I think Sylvia was the first with the "new body".

    11. I'm really in love with the big sculpt for Chloe as that's my favorite MNF head but the faceup for her on the website with such angular brows puts me off a little. I really love Siean's calm expression, though. It sounds like production of them has been halted a while from the quoted emails in this thread; I was thinking of buying secondhand anyways but it sounds like that's a necessity. Big-size Siean is definitely on my most-wanted list though...

    12. Ok thanks really helpful I was really afraid of purchasing because of that fact since I really like how other Fairyland bodies posed based on personal experience and I really have none with the Feeple65 which is why I was concerned at first.

    13. I'm so glad I can adopt your Chloe, but that's sad they don't include both feet unless you order the full package. :( So dumb.

    14. I'm so excited to see new F65s on this thread! I don't know if I will be able to order before closing, but at least the line has been revived and that's the most important thing :D

    15. I’ve always wanted a Feeple65 since I got started in the hobby many years ago, but now I might finally be able to afford one. Ingrid is such a beautiful sculpt. What clothes/shoes have people found that work well for them?

      • x 1
    16. Iplehouse SID clothes and shoes fit them pretty well.

    17. Thank you so much!

    18. Good to know, @Stormlight , the pictures they post look like Moe feet, and I desperately hope they have not Moe-ified the 6 body, as I think it's the most beautiful body they've made!

I'm with you, @mademoisellelulu , I have been waiting forever as well. Last they offered these lovely dolls, I was only buying minifees, which are awesome, I love them, but have fallen in love with the bigger dolls now, especially the F65 and I'm still in love with my Chicline dolls.

But money is tight :( So not sure I can do it :)

    19. I have been thinking of getting a Fairyland doll at some point (never had any from this company yet) and I finally decided that Ingrid is so gorgeous that she's going to be the one, and I ordered her today with the fullset - can't wait to see how she looks next to my other big ladies:love

I added the event faceplate feeple65 too - it looks a bit weird to me, so not sure if I'll use it... Kinda like mature Lucywen, but with rounder eyes...

    20. does anyone know Denver Doll's policy on layaway? I can't find it for some reason (I can be tunnel visioned, LOL) Thanks :D Oops, wow, I found it, sorry. I think I may be ordering Ingrid. Now, faceup or no faceup, sleeping head or no?.... Can't afford the whole set :(

    21. Her company faceup is beautiful, and suits her sculpt really well. Plus I think it could be quite versatile for different styles!

    22. Hi IngieBee, if you look under their Purchasing Options you will come to Terms & Conditions section it shows you how much you would need to purchase for a longer layaway. 9 month layaway is over $1000+ with them.

    23. Cool, thank you! I am so bad at finding things! Ugh, if I buy direct, I don't have to pay sales tax, right? LOL... UGH, such a bad time to take on debt...

DDE has no 'order by' date. ???

    24. I only know that the summer event ends on 9th August (Korean time?). I am not as versed in usual Fairyland policy to be 100% sure, but it might mean that Ingrid is only available to order until 9th August too. The members in the minifee thread might know better, as new minifees are coming out so often there must be an ordering pattern by now...

    25. Oh yah, ooh, and I like that Minifee event head, LOL. I better make a decision! Ugh!

    26. UGH! I was trying to figure out what I wanted and DDE doesn't have the heeled feet available, though they are available on the Fairyland site. And going back and forth, wringing my hands at what to order, I ended up forgetting to include the event head, I can't believe it! I sure hope DDE will see my email and kindly add the event head to my order, as I think it'll make an adorable boy!

Long story short, I ordered Ingrid with sleeping head, no faceup. I'm so nervous, I haven't ordered anything in a while, but how could I resist finally FINALLY getting an F65 and she's so pretty. It'd be different if I didn't like her face, but I do! Ugh!

    27. DDE does have the heel feet available, I ordered them with my girl. They’re listed in the parts section.

    28. OH! Ok, I'll go back and get some, thank you @hannaliten. I find DenverDoll's site to be very difficult to get around :doh

    29. Ingrid is soooo beautiful, I love dolls with white hair and the military style cap is such a fresh look. The company faceup in the pictures looks amazing but I think she would look great with a calm and peaceful style too. She would make a very good angelic doll. I'd also love to see her with dark hair.

    30. I agree @ziiii . I'd love to have all of her accessories, but budget constraints say NO! LOL. I ultimately wanted a full F65 doll, and am so happy Fairyland opened up orders for this one. I have a Lora head with sleeping face plate, and I do love her, but I have always been a fan of the F65 ultra feminine body (sans huge boobs, I like the soft curves and prefer smaller breasts) But since all my dolls are smaller in the chest department, it's also nice to have a variety. Anyway, I bought one full set in my "bjd life" and never use it, though I love it, I'm afraid it'll get broken, LOL. With casual clothes and dresses, especially if I make them, I'm not afraid to play with my dolls, which I do whenever I have time. In fact, I've been setting my sewing room up for photography (a good consequence of children leaving the nest, eh?) Let the second childhood begin!!!

    31. Where is everyone? This should be an exciting time :) New F65 incoming! How about some pictures? Please?

    32. I think anyone that placed an order just now is trying very hard to forget how much money they spent on it - I know I am :shudder

But seriously, this is going to be my first fairyland doll in general, so I can't wait to see the body engineering and quality of clothing in person. Also I usually faceup my dolls myself, so this will be interesting to see finally a company faceup too...

    33. Congrats to everyone who snagged an Ingrid! :chocoheart

She's gorgeous, but I am trying to save my doll funds for another sculpt that is still in the works so I was not able get her myself. Please spam her a lot if you got one!! :D

    34. LOL @SolInvictus a 6 month layaway has helped me to forget that, LOL. Just remember with the F65, you need to push in the thighs to set them in that 90 degree angle for sitting. Now I have never handled an F65 before either, just been drooling over them. And they tend to have the most complaints, mostly about not being able to sit up, but others say you have to engage the thighs. Also, when you're dealing with the bigger dolls like this, vs a F60, it's a huge size difference and gravity pulls a lot more, making things a bit harder. But now I have a lot of Impldolls that are really heavy, and I just love them, so it's not a problem for me, hopefully :D I really can't wait!!!

Will do @Lady Ravenswood ! Although mine won't have any of the goodies :( and no faceup LOL

    35. @IngieBee
Her sculpt is gorgeous so it will be nice to see her with a custom faceup! Do you already know how you want to style her or are you waiting till she's in hand? :)

    36. Well, I'll be giving her a faceup myself, but eventually would like to get a realistic faceup for her from a real artist like Angeltoast or someone else for variety?? But funds aren't great so I'll do it myself first. Then she'll get a set of streetwear most likely. I'd like to give each doll a unique look eventually, but I've just been getting into sewing again, and have been doing big people clothes and knitting... honing my skills, as they needed it, LOL. I've been playing with Valentina , a free pattern drafting software, but it is a steep learning curve for me as I'm getting old, LOL. However, I am making some slopers for dolls I already have, and when she arrives, I should be able to enter her dimensions and print out a pattern to make her clothes. THEN I'd like to make costumes inspired by DnD. But as I have little energy, LOL, these are YEARS worth of plans. It's taken me many years just to set up my sewing room, which has been wonderful to work in :)

    37. @IngieBee
Oh, nice! I have DnD dolls as well. :D
Will she be a player and her character (since she's getting modern clothes too)?

Hehe, I hear you on the sewing room/years of plans thing. I tried to set up a little sewing corner after I lost my sewing room to having a baby and....well...it's been buried and unusable the whole time...so years...yes...:sweat

    38. @Lady Ravenswood LOL, I gained my sewing room from chicks flying the coop. Miss them, but then.... I got a room! LOL

About my dolls, I don't know. My husband has played DnD since the beginning of the game practically, and I joined him at a local store, where we have a group in the middle of a campaign but then the plague hit, and nothing since. I hope the store will survive this :(

Anyway, I have trouble with creating characters, and that was one of my goals in playing, to learn to "be" another character. I'm on the autistic spectrum, which I only learned of when my kids were diagnosed, and this is one of my issues - theory of mind / personalities that think differently from myself, etc... I can understand this intellectually, I just can't ... I can't come up with it. I think I can feel how another person feels fine, like in a book, or certainly, I have an issue with too much empathy, but acting is horribly hard for me. I'm probably the only person who actually tried to do well, but got a D in drama, LOL

I'm hoping that knowing now what my issues are, I can find a way to break through. You're never too old to learn :D Unfortunately, I have yet to "find it" LOL. I'm still horrible at this :P :D

And to bring this back to dolls, I think they all represent what I wish I were, pretty and able to wear cool clothes... very shallow. Just expressions of who I wish I were. That's probably why I used to only collect girl dolls, but I love my boys, though they are woefully outnumbered, LOL.

    39. This resonates with me so much.

I am slated to get the f65 body in a split order whenever everyone starts to get their orders. I have no floating heads, so I'm still puzzling over what I'm ultimately going to do. I've wanted to own a f65 for some time, and I jumped at the chance when I saw someone was organizing one. Not sure if floating bodies are common, but I seemed to have gotten myself in that bucket.

    40. @IngieBee
Ah, I used to only collect girl dolls as well! But lately it seems I collect mainly guy dolls. It's a bit funny to me how much it has switched.
And that all makes a lot of sense to me. DnD is a lot of fun in that you can be anything, but I also found it really hard to play characters that were very different from my personality. For instance, I am super introverted, so playing a high charisma character just....didn't work. Lol. Even if it was on the sheet, I just can't think of that many words to say out loud or that quickly. I get super exhausted role playing which became my downfall because I was the DM of the last campaign I played...
I hope your local shop makes it. :chocoheart
Picking dolls for aesthetics seems totally legit. ;)

      @VeraLyne
I have had/do have floating bodies as well!
The second doll I ever received was a floating Soom body. I sewed clothes and put funny things on the s-hook to make comical heads for it. Hehe. It was honestly a lot of fun. I'm glad you were able to get the body you've wanted.

    41. @VeraLyne ,Is there a reason you didn't chose to get the head? I'm just curious :) I think Supia doll heads match nicely to Fairyland resin, normal skin that is. But honestly, I don't find head matching difficult as long as the head is lighter than the body. Probably could match it if the head were darker, using white, but that would be a bit harder. Anyways, I have the opposite problem, my Lora is sharing an Impldoll body with an Impldoll head. I think the original head is getting ticked off as she's been without her body since Lora arrived, LOL. Lora needs her own well fitting wig. Has anyone else noticed how the price of wigs have gone way up? Ugh!

Oh gosh @Lady Ravenswood oh wow, my husband is good at it, and makes it quite fun, but yah, I could never!

Just wanted to add, Ingrid has Fairyland's cuteness face, but I love my Lora because she has a much different face from the usual. And since this thread is a little low on pictures, I'ma gonna insert a Lora pic even if it's not great, LOL:

      This is another possible wig:

    42. I just realized, I might be drawn to Ingrid because she looks like MNF Marcia to me! Marcia does have huge eyes which are adorable, but the thing that always draws me in is her jaw line. It's wider than others and I think it looks a bit like Helena Bonham Carter, plus the cute pursed lips. I just adored Marcia from the moment I first saw her, and I think I'm drawn to Ingrid as well because of this look :)

Of course, I do have a Marcia, but no dreaming faceplate :(

    43. I loooooooove Lora. I wanted her desperately, so please spam her a lot! :fangirl:

I think the faceup on Ingrid makes her look like young Jennifer Connely, hehe.

    44. Yah, I can see that :D

    45. @Lady Ravenswood - That's a fun idea! I will have to look through my daughter's toys to see what absurdity I can create.

@IngieBee - I talked myself into the purchase saying that I would try my hand at digitally sculpting a face (but have zero experience), and shortly after already committing, came back to my senses. Fairyland's engineering is incredibly appealing to me though, so I'm still super excited for when the body will arrive. I own a PukiFee which is a fun size and gave me a peek into what Fairyland is capable of, but I want most of my collection to be the larger 1/3 scale.

I looked into Supia heads, and they have beautiful sculpts, but are a bit too youthful for what I think I want. Perhaps that's also why I didn't go with Ingrid as a full set. At this point in my journey in the hobby, I have gravitated towards the more realistic looking mature sculpts. If I had to chose a head that would magically appear right now, I think I would like an Iplehouse Asa or Impldoll Azalea. Again, I will likely go through many iterations of what I want to do, and once the body arrives, do something completely different. :XD:

Thank you for the tip on resin matching! This doll will likely be my first hybrid so I will be doing a lot of research.

    46. Oh, don't give up, it's quite do-able really! If you need help, PM me about products and techniques. I'm a person who loves to know how things are done but seldom follow through, LOL especially if I've figured it out and done a bit. I just don't like the details of cleaning and perfecting thus I'm a Jane of all trades, master of none. But I know things ;P

    47. Hello, is there a way to remove the mechanism on the neck?

    48. There sure is! You just have to unstring it. Usually I have to unstring them from their feet up, because they’re quite tight, and the mechanism can be hard to pull up. It has a small s-hook through it that you could replace with a larger one to go through regular heads.

    49. @Chameleon Oh thank you so much!! I got confused because I found a video of a person removin the mechanism from a chicline body but she only removed the mechanism without unstringing, but I see the feeple mechanism is different xD

    50. Yeah. I have a really old feeple body, and I had to unstring it completely. (Also had to restring a feeple60 completely to get the mechanism on). Out of curiosity, what head are you putting on the body?

    51. Hello.
I ordered Ingrid, and I want to ask: Fairyland visually reduced the head circumference in the latest releases of Feeple65 and these girls now wear 7-8 Monique or 8-9 wigs?
I want to take a few, but I'm not sure about the size :blush
      Thanks!

    52. @Demiurgo on my F60s, the hook was cinched on so you really might need to unstring the doll even if you can lift the thingy :D

@Shelen, when did they start reducing the head size? I have a Lora, it's from the old head back. Sh is around 8.25" if I remember correctly (what is it with me and tape measures? I misplaced it AGAIN! LOL I"m glad you're giving me a heads up, I just about ordered a wig for Ingrid!

    53. I'm not sure if they actually made the Feeple65 heads smaller.
But visually, the heads of Sylvia/Ine/Ingrid don't look as big.
I would like to hear the opinion of the owners of Feeple65 latest releases :blush

    54. Mmmmm... So, I've tried to unstring the body but the feet have ANOTHER mechanism, wtf??? XD Isn't there a guide? XD

    55. There's a string from the knee to the feet so if you're looking to unstring the body you need to start from the knees. The arms each have their own string too. Personally I've changed mine to have the same elastic from neck to feet but either method works really.

    56. @Yuns Well, I didn't see that coming! I thought it was like the normal bodies XD

    57. The boys have a magnet in their shoulders so that you can remove their entire arms without unstringing them...

That's how the mechanical arm from the Rho release works...

      • x 2
    58. Don’t the original female bodies also have the magnetic arm mechanism? Pretty sure there was an alternate arm available for the original Chloe fullset as well.

    59. Yes, Chloe has the second arm with the engraved 'henna' design you can easily switch to. Both Rho and Chloe are fabulous. CP sure knows how to add interesting details. Two of my favorites I don't think I have a photo of her with her fancy arm. I'll have to swap it in and pose her with Rho for a post here. Someday soonish. ;)
