Fairyland Fantasy Art Line (Part 1)

Aug 3, 2016

    1. We just had a Griffin and Centaurs , but I'm not sure if that means we'll see more from that line or if they'll do something different.

    2. @spih they are so precious! Thanks for the spam!

I'm hoping we get a mammal like creature this time. As much as I love birds, I think something cat/dog or rabbit like (ooh maybe a jackalope?) would be really fun too. But I also wouldn't say no to a dragon either!

    3. Noooo, a dragon would be perfect! :D

If Fairyland released more animals I'd for sure jump on the bandwagon. Seems like they are having fun doing things they can morph into centaurs. But another pet doll would be awesome. Not going to lie I have a cat weakness.

    5. This past week I found/and bought a lavender Hippogriff! He's on his way now, very happy to have found him.

    6. Aw, the cheek spots make yours look like a blue budgie! So cute.

I really like those eyes, too.

With a bunch of life things, my Ruca still needs blushing and even a name... argh! Well, hopefully there'll be more time for dolls soon.

    7. @redsixwing I was inspired by a blue budgie I had as a kid, who I named sky! And like you I have yet to name my little guy. But I love having him in the crew.

    8. Do you guys think we'll be getting a fantasy art line doll this year? Usually the fantasy creature has been paired with a release of new realfee sculpts, but since we just got new realfee during the winter event, doesn't that kind of mess up the pattern?

    9. We had the Griffin and Centaur last year, with four new Realfee, so I am kinda expecting them to focus on a different line instead, but it's hard to tell. :)

    10. this is cool

    11. @Anna0808 Thank you! :D

I am super excited to see what Fairyland does next. They always keep me in suspense for their next release. I am loving all their fantasy stuff so far.

    12. I'm going to be running in circles waiting to see what news we might hear Sunday or Monday... Eek! :)

    13. Considering the added resin parts to the Realfee doll, am I the only one who's noticed a clear progression from one centaur to the other in the designs Fairyland has produced so far? Like, they had the vanilla features for the Lucywen doll, then added decorative details to the hooves for the Sircca one, and finally we have the usage of resin for the hooves and tail here. I wouldn't be surprised if they did something crazy for their next centaur design, like add in the steampunk gears (used in their seahorses) into the hooves or something. It's just interesting to me how they're always looking to improve minute details like that. Haha.

    14. I would definitely like to see more animal type releases. A dragon would be cool, but what I’d love to see is a completely new creature we have never imagined before, completely fictional.

    15. Not sure if that'll have mass appeal. It obviously wouldn't be recognizable, so that would be a marketing issue. Maybe if it's limited edition.

    16. I heard that sometimes fairyline does basic dolls as something to order all the time, I asked if this is one of them but the answer was a little weird does can someone tell me of the basic is an all the time order or the limited only? (Sorry if this is a dumb question or already been asked I haven't read the whole thread)

    17. @Death of a bachelor the fantasy art line dolls have all been limited editions so far and I doubt that will change. I also doubt Fairyland will re-release Ruca or Rus. I've never seen FL re-release limited dolls. For this line, basic just means that the doll doesn't come with specific extras. For example if you wanted Rus in normal skin or beauty white, didnt want wings or an extra sleepy head, you would order the basic version. You can still add on extras but the cost of adding more than one extra is noticeably higher than in the fullset.

The fullest option is the better bargain if you want the doll in a fantasy color and want all the option parts.

I hope this helps you a bit.

    18. Ah man thanks it does, I was hoping to get something in the hippogriff I really love it in the violet but I wasn't even in the hobby when it was for sale, I was hoping that basic meant just order the barebones any time

Looks like it's something that's going to have to be in the second hand or enjoyed in photos only

    19. I have finally blushed my hippogriff.

    20. Wow, looks great. I have the same color but haven't done anything. Really nice!

    21. I also have the same color and he's waiting to be blushed but I still haven't decided on colors. Yours looks really good!

    22. I've still got to blush my pair of Hippogriff (one pink one violet) for Haru and June.. I'm not sure I fancy unstringing them for it after the pain of re-stringing my Luts centaur though :/

Then I've got Eva and Luna's tan centaur bodies (direct from Fairyland) to work on, possibly in the style of the Tiny Delf centaur blushing, and at some point, when I've got the budget, I'm hoping to be able to find a pair of (lion) Griffins in tan for Toki and Coco.

I love the fantasy combos :)

    23. Are you going to use an airbrush for all your blushing? I really want one for all of the fantasy parts I need to blush, (Sircca's centaur body, and lots more) but I haven't taken the plunge in buying one yet because I don't see what I would use it for after finishing my doll blushing projects.

    24. Oh yes. I've bought one especially :)

You're right, TBH I'm not sure what else I could use it for aside from blushing and face-up, but I couldn't resist as it can produce some amazing results.

I'm half tempted to blush Lucywen's centaur parts multicoloured, and experiment with dyeing in the hopes that with a little practice I can dye Sircca's centaur parts a dark brown. This hobby rocks for fun experiments :)

    25. Well I hope to see your results posted. Gah, I'm more tempted than ever to get one. I have 5 that need their fantasy parts blushed and they've been waiting for ages for me to do it. I just don't love my results with using pastels though.

    26. For five it definitely sounds worth it to me :)

Have you watched any Youtube videos of blushing with an airbrush, that's what really sold me on it :)

I'll post photos when I finally get the nerve to do it for real. I might have a lot of practicing ahead of me first though.

    27. Okay, that does it. :shudder Going to research which one to get. Husband can get it for me for Christmas.

Yes I've watched a few Youtube videos on blushing and was tempted then, but like I said, I couldn't justify getting one without knowing if I would use it after finishing up the dolls. I do some fabric art/crafting so maybe I can use it with that.

Please do update us on your progress. :)

    28. I really love Rupert, the tan with rust blushing is very different to most that I have seen so far . . . well done Martha! :aheartbea

      Gorgeous! :thumbup

Oh my! How beautiful they look together and so delicate. :love

After all this time, I still haven't blushed mine. :eusa_naug Yours looks great! :thumbup

    29. Time to bring this thread to life again, and with that show off Signe properly! (she's now on topic, eeeee!) :dance

    32. I've been admiring your wonderful hippogriffs, they are gorgeous. Such a shame that Fairyland haven't made anymore.

    33. I agree. I really wish they would find the time to revisit this lone more.

And maybe make more with paws! lol.

    34. This is SUPER delayed and I know no one has responded to this in a while, but has anyone unstrung their Rus? I'm having issues with the torso and I really wanna restring that area, as well as unstring so I can paint/blush them a little easier as well. I'm just nervous I wont be able to get them back together

    35. Nikui, when i make make-up+blushing, i unstrung mine, I also changed elastic cords and made as I preferring.

    36. Was it difficult to get them back together? Especially the torso is what I'm concerned about

    37. Nikui, for me it wasn't hard, most hard part was to take apart after FL, cos their tension are mad, and it's not good for bjd.

    38. Upcoming 2023 Sarang Event

Good news, they look like they intend to bring Hippogriff back

    39. omg!!!!!!!!! i wonder if they'll be doing a new hippogriff or releasing a third?

    40. Wow! Thank you for tagging me

    41. Hippogriff has recently added two more colors separately Black Gray and Orange .
It is now more difficult to choose......

    42. I ended up picking two new colors (black gray & orange), looking forward to seeing them!:3nodding:

    43. I think my violet has faded to grey. Anyone else have this issue?

    44. I don't have a violet Hippogriff, but have seen pictures of some people and they do fade to gray so I guess it's normal.

    45. Red pigment is the first to disappear from resin so this is pretty normal.

    46. Does anyone know if Rus is limited or not? He didn't disappear with the event, so I'm a little confused.

    47. So can we see them? I completely missed out!

This is a photo taken last year. The mint skin in the picture is from the 2015 event.

I guess it's been too long since I uploaded a photo, so I need a moment for the photo to appear properly.
      I'm very sorry.

    50. They look great and I can see a story building around them. I hadn't see the human on the hippogriff before, thank you!

    51. When did fairyland have all these different colored bunny legs? I thought there was only white.
