FairyLand Fairy Line Mini discussion part 2

Oct 22, 2015

    1. I wanted to share a photo of my Sia and to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day! :chocoberry:chocoheart

    2. Lovely pic ( i love the movement of the hairs^^)

    3. I love the pose with the shell, can she hear anything ?

    4. The fairyline bodies have same measurements as the A-line body. They are basically the same as the A-line just with different mechanics to how the body goes together.

    5. From what I've heard, some of Fairyland's measurements for the Fairyline aren't exactly correct. *_* It will be a while before my Rendia gets here for me to check. I'm hoping FL rectifies the chart soon.

    6. I have several m line, an a line, and a fairy line, and the fairy line body is the same size as the a line body in all the measurements, with a slightly smaller rib cage. The official Fairyland Fairy Line measurements are completely wrong.

    7. Oh wow! Thanks guys, I'm glad I asked <3 Definitely something for me to keep in mind while I do my shopping =^.^=

    8. Well, I put a Rendia on layaway. DDE was kind enough to extend it a bit (they can be nice that way), so it'll be a while before she gets here.

      • x 1
    9. I feel your pain! LOL. I'm in the same layaway boat.

      • x 1
    10. Ah, the pain we bring on ourselves. lol. I've been playing around with my daughter's Sia body, and I'm hooked. So, I had to get a fairy body for the Mermaid parts I..um...appropriated from her.

    11. @LeeAnne see the above quote--it has a side by side comparison of an a line and f line. Click Expand and then click on the photo.

I'm in the same boat--I had to do a longer layaway for my Rendia. Sigh.
ETA I just made payment 2 of 6 for my f line and m line Rendias. Going to be forever...

    12. @albeli Oh thank you! I love how the mechanics of this body work, it's fascinating

    13. CathyM, did you get the full set? I am debating Rendia too. I bought the Sia tail off the market place here and need the fline body. I am wanting to use her with the Sia clear blue tail. Do you think Rendia's eye make up would go with that tail? Just need someone's opinion please. And I too will need a long layaway. :(

    14. Hello here ^^
I 'm adding my own Sia to all the pretty girls in this thread, I finally managed to take some pictures of her !

P.S @CinderellaPink : I think that Rendia's eye make up is close to Sia's one , with the same shades of blue around the eyes , you can see strong similarities especially with the sleeping faces in my opinion ;)

    15. Beautiful photo @lilaseven! Absolutely gorgeous!

    16. Thank you dear ^^

I'm looking forward to see your girls soon in the minifee thread ( seems they will arrive in a few days/ weeks , right ;) ? )

    17. They're gorgeous! @lilaseven And I really love the style of your sleeping girl, especially those wings! :D @lilaseven

    18. Yes, I got the fullset. This is why I needed the extra time on the layaway. Layaways are such a love/hate relationship ;)

@lilaseven I like the sleeping head faceup. It's very pretty.

    19. @lilaseven that's beautiful and amazing! Love it!

    20. I have a few comparison photos on my Flickr. Here's the most popular (linked due to nudity).
She's definitely closer to the A-line in measurements.

    21. Thank you very much @Bailette and @albeli ^^
I'm happy you like them <3 ( the wings were Fairyland 2014 Halloween event gift )

    22. I really hope Fairyland makes the Fairyline standard/a la carte soon so this thread could stop looking more like a Waiting Room thread than a Discussion one. :D

    23. @kita8 Ooooh, thank you! I was curious about how it looked by the moe body! Fairylines are so slender and elegant. You guys are amazing, thank you for all the help <3

    24. I agree! I would love to be able to get another fairyline body, mainly so I can get a different bust option lol I really wish they would have had the small bust and not just go from cutie to large. Right now I have mine with the male bust option just because I no longer have the other ones XP and it seems like finding anything besides the super huge bust available is near impossible for me right now. At first I didn't like the cutie bust but after I let go of that one then I didn't like the huge bust either XD

    25. @SamanthaFaye I so understand about the bust issue. I will be searching for the cutie bust because I'm not a fan of mega-boobs on my dolls.

    26. This really does seem like a waiting room thread. lol

I have the giant, large, and male bust pieces, and I wish I could also find a cutie bust, or they'd make a small bust option.

    27. faireva, that's a beautiful photo! I love the seashells :)

lilaseven, they look so gorgeous in their costumes, and great background!

Here is a very poorly setup shot. I should have taken the time to iron the creases in the background and set up better. I was in a hurry because I didn't feel well. Anyway, I took the shot to show her new corset. It's perfect with her tail.

    28. My fairyline body came in! :D I love it a loooot, even though the outfit I bought for Lien now....no longer...fits. T_T BUT THE BODY IS SO NICE. I need to make new clothes for him now. @A@

Please excuse the disaster, I was too excited and really wanted to take a photo.

    29. @Ektou - Thank you, I really wanted her hair to look like it was floating in a current - easy to do with Mohair thankfully! :thumbup

@Puppedoll - She probably hears alot of "click, snap, click, snap!" hehehe, Thank you for the comment, I wanted a dynamic pose that showed her webbed hands.. I really love them & need to get them blushed soon.

@lilaseven - I know I commented on your flickr already, but I think it's awesome that you have both girls are posed together with bodies and outfits complete. Sleepy gothic Sia is so pretty, like a succubus.

@periwinklestars - I hope you are feeling better now! I really love that background, regardless of a crease, and her Corset is amazingly lovely. I like her reflective pose as well.

@ForgetMeNot - Many thanks to you! :goldstar Her tail is very easy to pose and gives her alot of personality, I love her melancholic expression.

    30. Thanks so much!
OMG - he looks fabulous! You are making me rethink whether to have a boy :)
Aw, thanks! Yes, I'm much better now. I need to take some more pictures of this beauty. I like her face, but I'm thinking she needs to look less sad. I might have to redo her eyebrows at least, maybe the whole face.

    31. I have a shipping notise for my Sia. So I decided to put eyelashes on my NF head that I'm going to use with the body . . and I just couldn't. :...(

I have tried and tried and ruined two sets of eyelashes and now I don't know what to do. *Hits head against wall.*

      Dustbunnie

    32. @Dustbunnie, pardon me while I ask the obvious first (years of customer service....), but what glue are you using?

    33. I am loving all these pictures! :) I am wondering though, why did they make Rendia on this fairyline body if there are no extra " parts" such as a mermaid tail, centaur body, etc... to put her on? I would have thought they would have came out with something?

    34. @Dustbunnie Also wondering what glue you used. I use Alene's tacky glue and apply glue to the eye opening with a toothpick and then use a clean toothpick to press the eyelashes into place in the glue.

    35. Kirahfaye and albeli the glue is not my problem. The real problem is that my motor skills have never been very good and now I have a little bit of arthritis in my hands. Besides my eyesight is pretty poor especially now. I'm going to have an operation for cataracts in April.

My hands are simply not steady enough and I can't really see what I'm doing. I'll have to find someone to help me or my doll will have to do without lashes. It's just that sometimes all the things I can't do anymore makes me impatient and annoyed with myself.

I'll get over it. Thanks for trying to help though. I appriciate that. :)

      Dustbunnie

    36. @Dustbunnie - hugz. I have some arthritis issue myself, so I sympathize.

    37. hey sorry to reply so late since i havent logged on in ages but i was specifically talking about other companies heads vs the fairyline body not the fairyland heads. has anyone tried it yet?

    38. @killer-chan : yeah, it would be interesting ! I only have the male torso (not the fairyline body, I've ordered it mid febuary) but I'll try with other heads as soon as I get more !

    39. Oooh XD my bad, I would assume then any head that's compatible with the normal minifee body would be compatible with this new body too, I haven't seen any hybrids with other heads yet though.

    40. I was wondering... anyone here thinking of doing their own mermaid tail?
Cause I have a Sia head+upper body, and really wanted a mermaid tail, not a seahorse one, so was planning on either sculpting one myself or modeling in 3D then print it, and then cast in resin. So was curious if there was anyone else here also crazy like me that was planning this XD (by the way, if Iยดm able to, of course not planning on selling or gaining money from it. Itยดs just for my own :-) ).

    41. Does minifees fit TONNER DEJA VU doll clothes? Has anyone tried :)?

Edit: Wrong thread oops, cant delete :/

    42. The biggest problem will be finding something to put beneath the s-hook to keep the chest piece tightly in place (so the arms don't fall off!). Once you take the locking mechanism off, there isn't anything locking the chest piece down. It might be that any head you'd put on it, once you pulled the s-hook up through the head and secured it (you'll need a bigger s-hook), would secure the chest piece, but I'm not sure. I guess I could try putting my DC head on and report back.

    43. Oh I didn't even think of that, hmmm this might be a trickier body to hybrid than previously thought.

I had thought about this, just in general since I don't actually have the tail part, but that since the seahorse end part is removable by magnet that they may eventually come out with separate ends like an actual fin tail or something like that. But either way with that kind of end it would be easier to make your own and attach with a magnet like the original tail end too.

    44. Yeah I thought of doing that also! My main problem is really lack of money to buy the tail hahaha So thought it would be fun to first try making my own with the colour I really want (I wanted a sort of mint translucent with a pearl shine), instead of having to wait so long until Iยดm able to get one :XD:

    45. Ooh that does sound really pretty! I really like the idea of the tail but idk if I would really use or do anything with it enough for it to be worth it for me XP maybe if I had more fantasy styled characters lol but mine are all fairly normal right now. It would be really cool to see a handmade tail though!

    46. I quite love the clear blue one and like the mint, but colour wise prefer the mint, but think the clear looks more realistic so I thought "what the hell Iยดll just try and do one to mesh them together".
Ah yeah, I completely understand! If you know that you most likely wonยดt be using it that much, no need to waste time and money on it when you could do other stuff. Iยดm only going to have her as a mermaid so that is why I donยดt mind. And I was the same in the beginning. Thought I would never have a fantasy character cause most of the bjds I have planned are very normal, but then bam! Sia appeared and I got screwed.

    48. She's beautiful! @Puppedoll I really like Sia in tan.:D

    49. @Puppedoll She's beautiful! Ninjaxdestiny did an amazing job. :D

Also, a question for those who own both F-line and A-line, I saw that the male F-line bust piece fits on the A-line female body, but I'm wondering if the F-line female bust pieces do as well? If anyone can answer this that'd be amazing! :D Thanks!

just got some new clothes for Siarah from nine9 style

    51. I wanted to keep my Tan Sia as a human. But when she finally arrived last saturday after a long wait I liked the clear pink tail as well. So now she will stay as a seahorse or mermaid for a while. But it's so nice to know I can change her back so easy. Wanted to buy a Aline for such a long time but now I'm not sure anymore. The fairy line body is so nice.

    52. I can't remember - what are the female bust sizes? Does anyone have a photo reference available? Thanks!

    53. That pink tail with the tan skin is so lovely. She is really beautiful. And I agree the ease of changing back and forth is a big plus for this line!

    54. I would not do this. The F line bust pieces are very thin in the back because they are meant to fit over an internal chest piece that takes the stress from the elastic string. If you put that stress on just the F line bust piece I believe it would crack.

    58. I love your Sia! Did you mod her eyes to be larger? It looks great.

    59. Yes I did :-) I wasn't a fan of the dreamy look haha so I changed it. I loved her so much more afterwards.
