Fairyland Chic Line clothing, shoe, and wig database - Useable vs. REALLY FITS

May 18, 2010

    1. Like I said Cygirl has to be stretchy. My bf managed to get a bra and panties from one onto my girl (granted shes smallbust/cutie legs) and I've tried some pleather jackets on her too, which don't quite close but look alright.

The Playboy stuff is a little iffy but not that bad for what it is. The robe my Ineffa uses is from the Karen McDougal doll. The lining is not great and the snaps are cheap plastic but it looks good on display and is just a touch big on Ineffa which looks pretty luxe over the green Fairyland lingere. Haven't been able to try the bikini...cami...thing she's wearing yet, it should fit in theory but not sure if its removable (and its lost somewhere in the bf's closet/wormhole to another dimension)

    2. It would be great to see pictures of that.

The only piece of femfig clothing I could find is a Triad PVC catsuit. I will have a look, but I don't think there is a snowball's chance I am going to be able to get my Ino in that, stretch or no stretch. And arms and legs would be very short. It seems as though the options are there with femfig stuff, but limited.

    3. [IMG]
This is on the large bust Ino. On the smaller bust, the vest fits perfectly; tiny bit loose in the waist, but there are so many parts (belts and fabric) that it is not noticeable. Shoes are a good fit. They were having a sale and I loved this sort of Steampunk design.

    4. Well finally got access to a computer for a few minutes so those long-promised pics are finally here.

Military figure gear (jacket has had sleeves shortened and a tuck in back, shorts don't close but are passable)
      http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d17/Ashthepirate/camera%20uploads/130_zpsac8285c0.jpg
Playboy robe (sorry for weird angle) fits well, original doll is a little shorter but the length is fine on a Chicline
      http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d17/Ashthepirate/camera%20uploads/138_zps04187071.jpg
Pleather stitched jacket (not sure who this came from but likely a Cygirl or similar) Does not close in front, but since it was a shortened sleeve on the original doll it looks like a fashionable 3/4 sleeve on Chicline. Fits fine in shoulders and length on torso is good.
      http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d17/Ashthepirate/camera%20uploads/157_zps67327926.jpg
Oh and her shoes and velvet bodysuit are from the Madame Alexander Alex doll. The pieces from that line fit well though the pantyhose are way too high waisted, odd since the bodysuit fits so well.

    5. Thanks for those pics. I am truly amazed. None of my femfigs clothes are even in the same postcode as my CLine. Intrigued, I just got my last CY body out and laid it next to my CLine. She reaches her waist. I think you struck very lucky there.

It did prompt me to try on my male action fig clothes on my Ino. They certainly fit better than they did on my Rou. Trousers and shirts go on OK, with a bit of heave ho over the hips, but sleeves and legs are still too short. Jeans look like capris. Ah well.

    6. Yeah the lengths are all odd on them, but the widths seem alright for some of it. I should add the military shirt was on a male, no clue where the shorts were from.

    7. Almost certainly from a male fig.

There is an action fig set that is coming out now that might fit the CLine boys as it is being shown on the wide TTM-20 body, the one whose trousers I could squeeze my Rou into. And it is a shorts and t-shirt combo, so the length won't matter.

For those in the States, Big Bad Toy Store has them,

      Black

      http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=CMT10019&mode=retail

      http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=CMT10018&mode=retail

For those not in the States, they are starting to come up on eBay. Search for "CMToys short".

You won't be able to use the shoes or hands, but I haven't seen these parted out (yet) so you might just have to find another home for those bits.

    8. I was able to mod 1:6 hands to work on my CL Rou, although I haven't cleaned/fixed up the mod yet (because I'm lazy!),
it could work very nicely if you don't intend to have him holding anything too heavy. The only problem is that they are a bit
undersized (in relation to the rest of his proportions). Although there are companies that have larger hands, the ones in that
set don't particularly look very large. I believe the mod would also work for the shoes but I am not sure it would be stable
enough for the doll to stand in them but it could be a nice accessory if you have him sitting down.

The shorts would probably be very short on Rou, so I might pass this one but I'm excited to finally see clothes made for the TTM-20!

      - Enzyme

    9. I would be interested to see that hand mod. Did you do it so that he could have different hand guestures? We never get gun holding hands for BJDs, do we?

You know you can put female CLine feet on a male CLine and thereby get action figure shoes on them? Trouble is, it makes his feet look disproportionately small, even with great big old Newlines, so doesn't work for me.

I will be getting the long set for my TTM-20 (who only has one over-stretched t shirt and a pair of T-800 trousers to keep him warm) so I will see if they can be rolled or taken up and used as shorts.

    10. I've found that once they're dressed the difference in shoe size doesn't bother me as much as a barefoot doll does. You can get boots and rather generic shoes from Facets by Marcia that fit the smaller Tonner male dolls - they are a bit large but they ARE man shoes!

    11. The shoes my girl is wearing in the military shot fit my Rou's feet. They're rubbery and had a hard plastic insole that I popped out. I did slice the back to pop the foot back out easier but it fits without gapping. Not sure on brand but I can bug my bf about where he got them from.

    12. YoSD shoes also fit the female foot.

    13. I haven't taken photos of the actual modifications since I didn't think it would be useful for anyone but I did take photos of my Rou
wearing the modified hands here and here. I wanted him to be able to have gloved hands as well as be able to hold a sword (at some point!)
so I went with what's already out there instead of modifiying FL CL hands, which just seems like too much work (and money).
I only drilled/sanded the insides of the hands and temporarily glued a piece of metal while I look for magnets to replace them with.
Works okay if you don't want to have him holding heavy stuff.

I know that some people have done that but I feel a bit iffy about putting female feet on my Rou, I already feel a bit weird about his feet
being as small as they are (I'm a real weirdo, I know). I have a pair of ACI black combat boots that I was very excited about but they are
a bit too small, they are on the bigger side of 1:6 shoes however, so they don't look too small on Rou, problem is I would have to remove
his feet in order for him to wear them and that would mean he wouldn't be able to stand. Lol! That's why I have settled for 16" fashion dolls shoes
even if they are not as nicely made as the ones meant for 1:6 figs.

    14. Ah, glove hands! Good idea. If somone had the patience, I am sure you could do a finger separation, at least on Rou, and action figure gloves would fit. Not sure I am motivated enough to do it but, seeing as I haven't yet got around to bushing his hands, I might give it a go. I only have a pair of white, military dress gloves in the house, so he would look like Mickey Mouse, but at least I could see if it would work.

Interesting to know that ACI boots nearly fit. See, I would be fine swapping him into female feet for boots that looked big enough. Do you have a link to them/picture of them/some other way to know which of their boots are big? Not all are, you see. I have some of the ACI DMs and I am pretty sure they are too small. I could check, though.

    15. I do not know how you can claim to suck at sewing! Netting? faux patent leather? belts and buckles and topstitching? and a lovely fit! My goodness, these outfits are great! Do you have a link where you got the hands? Did you have to buy an entire doll and swipe just the hands? DUH! Never mind. Rule number one: Google first, ask second. Have some on order now! :D

    16. MadamMauMau, I separated my Rou's hands on both sets of hands and the gloves I tried on him didn't fit! I have the black ones that
came with one of the SS uniforms (only got it because I love the beautiful workmanship and really wanted a black uniform for my HT Kamui Gaiden),
I only managed to stain the fingers and they didn't go all the way in because the fingers are too thick! My advice, don't try black 1:6 gloves
on resin unless you want to redo the blushing or possibly risk staining. I guess if people wanted to, they could always buy extra pairs of CL
hands and sand the fingers thinner to fit 1:6 gloves on them, though the dark ones will stain. Or maybe the gloves might fit CL girl hands?
      These are the ACI boots
I got, they would probably fit on the male feet if they were sanded a little but I'm not going to do that (if FL releases
optional parts for CL and male feet are included, then maybe!).

Vindalootoo, thank you so much! I have to say that vinyl is a very forgiving fabric so I tend to use and abuse it as much as possible (most of
my doll's clothes are completely made out of the stuff!). My dolls' clothes would look a lot more awful if I used other types of fabrics but
      thankfully I have managed to use vinyl for most of the stuff I make. I got the hands from eBay, they are from the Spirit figure released by DC Direct;
I was told DC makes the biggest hands in the 1:6 world but I'm pretty sure that was wrong since most of the Hot Toys hands I own are significantly larger
in comparison. On the positive side they are not too small and the glove design fits with what I needed them for. Google is great for sure,
you can also find a lot of parted out 1:6 parts on eBay and some US figure-retailers do as well although I find that you can always get them much
cheaper from Asian seller on eBay and even get free shipping. (:

      - Enzyme

    17. Thanks for that info on the gloves. Yes, there is not much space between the fingers, so that makes sense.

TTM-20 hands are fractionally smaller than my Rou's hands, by about 2mm in length. I just checked. You can still get them relatively cheaply on eBay, should you ever have to do a mod like that again.

Ah, nice boots. If my Rou ever goes contemporary, I will get some of those. I don't mind using my Ino's feet for them. Still haven't checked my ACI DMs for size. I will do.

    18. No problem! I have a lot of extra HT hands and also the TTM-20 ones but only have Wesker's gloved hands so I might want to look for a few more HT gloved ones, since they are a bit bigger than other ones I have. I want some of ACI "fashion" boots as well, I always miss the releases but I will keep my eye out on the latest one this time for sure. Molded 1:6 shoes tend to be smaller than fabric ones, but maybe they won't look too disproportionate on the CL girls (I want them for my 1:6 male figs, actually) but I wouldn't mind them on my Rou if they are not too small. (:

      - Enzyme

    19. Bits of update.

I tried the ACI DM "Fashion boots" on the girl feet for my Rou. They are bigger than even Newline jump boots, but are made of moulded plastic, which is almost sticky. There was no way I could slide the feet in there. They would still have looked too small anyway, imo.

And I asked Thomas Eichhorn-Nelson about adding paperweights to tiny glass eyes and he said it couldn't be done, they would just be too small. Ah well. Worth a try.

Finally, it is possible to squeeze a male CLine into YoSD underpants. I wouldn't call it a good fit and the waistband is likely to start coming undone (but can be restitched, but they do look quite good on. I will see if I can take a piccy tonight.

    20. I made my girl some elf boots! It was actually fairly simple and I plan to make some for my boy too. I can try to take some pictures. Its a pretty basic lace up soft soled shoe made of microsuede but it could be made in leather with a foam sole for more modern boots.

    21. We would love to see pictures, HarleyQuinn.

And here are the YoSD underpants. Hur hur. I think they do fine but, as I said, they are quite a squeeze and will probably need the waistband sewing back up when he has finally burst it apart, which he will do.

ETA: More than one picture in a discussion thread or double post? *Goes for the lesser of two evils*

The glass eyes that I got from Thomas Eichhorn-Nelson. I asked for both eyes to have 2mm irises. One came with 3mm irises, which works fine, the other had 4mm irises, which are just too big. It sounds like a miniscule difference, but at this scale it is noticeable.

The eyes. The dark one is bigger overall, which reduces some of the aparent size of the iris, but you can see they are different sizes.

In doll. I realise that the dark colour of the larger irises queers things a bit, but look at how much more sclera is showing in the smaller ones and how they change her expression from derp to alert.

So, whilst I bought these to be for my Rou and Ino, I can only use one set and will be ordering some more. So, the moral of this story is, if you want the expert craftsmanship of handblown glass eyes, you will have to be prepared to deal with some of the vagaries of a handmade product. I don't think this would be such a big deal with larger eyes but, at this scale, every millimeter matters.

    22. Thank you so much for that comparison MadamMauMau! The smaller iris set is just fabulous, and I'm sure you'll find someone who wants the other pair...

    23. They look great, morganatron, and I love that rhumba pants and dressing gown combo. Good find on colour.

    24. Another potentially useful resource. Kolkman Creations who make clothes for 16" fashion dolls (and for action figs, for those of that inclination). In mostly stretchy fabrics, so not such a biggy if the fit is not perfect. Realistically-priced, and you can choose fabrics.

      http://datazap.net/ftp/kolkman.kreations/home_sales_room.16inch.html

    25. Sheesh...working on Vanye's mod, I realized I'd gotten the eye sockets fairly large and tried Pook's 8mm dino eye in them, and loved them. I'm really tempted to go to the larger size on him. But then, he's a bit of an innocent compared to Morgaine and I think that the larger iris enhances the effect.

Cute...but Morgaine would kill me. :D

She also customizes a bit, so I'd give her the CLine hip measurement. They're a lot more hippie than these dolls. And I'd sure like to see one on a CLine before ordering. She's depending on the stretch for all the shaping.

    26. Perhaps surprisingly, given how curvaceous they look, CLine hips are smaller than Tyler, Antoinette, Ellowyne. In fact, most on her list. The waist is slightly smaller though, which is what might be making the hips look bigger, but even that is only 0.5-0.7cm smaller than most. The exception is Ellowyne, whose waist is 1.5cm bigger. There is a very handy chart of fashion doll measurments somewhere about that can be used to check these things.

    27. Interesting! I've never seen the others in person or their measurements. .5cm can make quite a difference. But that might just make the problem more pronounced. The stretch between bust and hips is already flattening the curves....but you know, a blingy belt would solve everything! :D

I want to know where she finds her fabrics. The knits she's using are yummy!
Ha! Just checked out the Ellowyn measurements. Interesting!
Just for giggles, I ran some numbers, because the CLines LOOK hippier...and in fact proportionally, I think they are, tho not by much. This is probably old news to all of you, but I find it kinda cool.
ChicLine small bust compared to Ellowyn 16"
      Height is 91%
      Bust is 94%
      waist is 86%
      hips are 95%
So they are indeed a lot curvier, but the Ellowyn's taller to begin with, so just looks more willowy.
      I LOVE CLINES! :D

    28. I guess it depends on how narrow she makes them. I have some Tonner-sized tube dresses and they are tight all round, waist and all. The fabric is quite robust and the maker made them quite narrow. As this one lists that these fit some of the smaller dolls too, I would hope they would be as tight. Someone is going to have to take the plunge and report back.

I must post those tube dresses. Very simple, but quite effective. And cheap. I like that bit especially. They bleed colour like nobody's business, though, so will need to be rinsed well before using.

And I will post my Franklin Mint dress too, when it arrives, and if it fits. *crosses fingers fiercely*

    29. If anyone's interested, boots from this seller on ebay fit Chicline girls perfectly :)
I have one pair and it's wonderfully well-made, I'll definitely be buying more in the future!

    30. Posted over on the CLine, so this is probably old news to everyone, but thought I'd post here.
      Vanye's new sock sweater:

And the "pattern/instructions" (please note, the "pattern" was put together very rapidly. Sleeve s/b slightly curved on the top rather than a V, and the armhole cut should also be slightly curved like a regular armhole.)
      http://www.janefancher.com/HarmoniesOfTheNet/fun-free-stuff/patterns/
I think it fits pretty good! :D

    31. Want to add a new find to this thread! I'm just over the moon about this... The new Tulabelle line by Integrity Toys looks like a dream on C-Line girls! I am really picky about scales therefore I never thought the Tonner and other 16" fashion doll stuff I've tried worked too well, but this outfit really surprised me! It's called "Coated in Glamour". The whole outfit looks really in scale. The jacket is really beautifully made. I really adore the tiny quilted details on the sleeves and the little belted decorations. However, it's not a perfect fit. I had the following problems:

      1. The belt on the dress would not close. I think I will have to sew in a new loop but it won't be too much work.
      2. The shoes are a tight fit on the heeled feet. However, she can definitely stand in them on aided!
      3. The whole outfit is a bit restrictive. She can't sit at a 90 degree angle and it's a bit hard to bend her arms more than shown in the picture.

With that being said, it's still the most in scale readily available outfit I've found. I'm getting a few more sets from the line to test them out!

Chic Line! by norahyah, on Flickr

    32. Oh, wow!! Chloe looks fantastic -- and it's nice to know that Tulabelle jackets are a better fit than Tyler ones (which are really oversized in the back/shoulder area.) Does Tulabelle use the same body as any other Tonner dolls, do you know?

(I've had mixed luck with Tonner outfits and have done better with AvantGuards and other slim-built "high-fashion" dolls -- my Bimong Shahti, Crimson, wears a lot of Tonner clothes. The dresses/skirts/trousers fit well, although some dresses need to be taken in at the bust . . . but the one jacket I have is ENORMOUS.)

I need to take comparison photos of Crimson with Jackal, my C-Line/Anubis, but I'm not sure how useful they'll be, since Jackal has a non-human head (and I don't want to unglue her Mohawk just to put her unused Lishe faceplate on.)

Hoping to get together with Dhawktx soon, and I'll ask her to bring a couple of her C-Lines along, so that I can get some apples-to-apples comparison shots :)

(Mentioning Shahti here because I've discovered that, due to their similar scale but non-identical proportions, I've found that if something doesn't fit the C-Line body, it will often fit the Shahti body, and vice versa . . . so, I've been able to swap wigs and clothes back and forth, to see what looks best on each doll. In the first pics of Crimson's Flickr set that I linked above, she's wearing the bodysuit from the ChicLine "Black Secret" outfit -- Ino's default outfit -- and it actually fits her better than it fits Jackal, since Jackal has the small bust, and therefore doesn't fill it out on top very well.)

When I have a female (human-headed) C-Line in front of me, I also have an AvantGuards wig to try on her -- it's just barely too small for Crimson (who has a 13.2cm head circumference), but I think it will be perfect for a C-Line. Will report back as to how the fit works out!

      -- A :kitty2

    33. I have one of the Tulabelle outfits, the Violet one. Never used the top but the shorts and shoes fit perfectly~

    34. Okay, slightly off topic, so I hope this is okay, but I want to sew my boy Chicline a suit, and I am very lazy with pattern drafting, so I was really hoping to base it off an existing pattern I could buy - so my question is, what do people think is the best fit for Chicline boys from other companies? I'm thinking most of all in terms of around the shoulders and neck, if that makes sense, because arm length or width around the waist is easy enough to alter - but I find collars the hardest thing to do! I've been going through the thread, and Tonner looks too big around the shoulders, MNF might work... anyone have any opinion on Ken (as in Ken and Barbie) clothes, as patterns for them seem to be easy to get? Or any other suggestions? There's a lot of info on the thread here, so I might have missed something!

Would also be interested in opinions on girl Chiclines too! Sorry if this is OT, I just thought I'd be more likely to get answers here than in the sewing section - and hopefully this might help others who sew too!

    35. Ken is 30cm vs CLine boys at 40cm, so that won't work. Chest, waist, everything is bigger.

There is a wealth of ideas on what other doll clothes fit the CLines in here. You need a bit of patience to have a trawl through. There are also some measurement charts around somewhere, I think they might be in the first post. They give you the dimensions of various fashion dolls. No one is exactly the same size as CLines, but a number of clothes have been found that just about fit. Good luck!

    36. It depends whether you would rather size up or down, really. I find that Ashton-Drake Trent fits the boys very well, as he is smaller than the Tonner boys and slimmer. The photo fitting thread has some good examples of what works. I'm rather lazy and prefer "Off the rack" things, especially for the girls. A-D's Gene fits best everywhere except the waist, as Gene is made with a really high waistline. here are some pattern makers on ebay that have suits for Trent. (Perfect Patterns, and Vogue)http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fashion-Dol...696?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4acb115d18 Vogue
      http://www.ebay.com/itm/PERFECT-PAT...142?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43c05bcb5e Perfect Patterns

    37. Thanks so much, that's really helpful! I'll check out the Trent patterns - that's awesome. And in answer to your question - would rather size up than down I think, but hopeful I can get something that won't require a complete redrafting. I've been going through this thread, but I'm so unsure as to what type to go for - there are so many doll types I'm unfamiliar with! So, thanks so much for that! Will keep researching too! :D

    38. Adding a further note about Franklin Mint clothes. I just got a Scarlet O'Hara dress and the fit is almost perfect. It has a fitted bodice which is exactly right on my large bust Ino. Not too tight or pulling anywhere, and still tight enough to look tailored. The shoulders are about half a centimetre too wide on either side and the bodice is fractionally too long which means that, being fitted so it can't be pulled down, the shoulders sit fractionally high. I could also have done with an extra 0.5cm on the sleeve length. But, overall, a very good fit, and I have ridiculously high standards. The finish is as good as I would want it too, with all trims and embellishments in scale. So, there you are. Franklin Mint clothing ftw. I will get a photo tonight (supposed to be working now. Curse welcome distractions).

    39. Glad you like Chloe! Tulabelle is from another doll company - Integrity Toys - and the body is fairly different from the Tonner bodies, as far as fashion doll bodies can be different I guess (without going completely OT and going into the details)... I think the main visual difference is that Tulabelle seems slimmer in the shoulder/back area, which allows tops to fit better on C-Lines.

I hope it's ok to post this link since it's a comparison of OT dolls. But in this picture you can clearly see that Tulabelle has narrower shoulders and a smaller torso overall.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/alice_et_zombies/9090526345/in/photostream/ (Not my photo)

Really, really want to see photos! I'm a sucker for details and scale too!

    40. A-ha!!! That makes much more sense -- I'd been thinking they were Tonner since so many other dolls are, and the retailers I've seen carrying her often separate their dolls by line, rather than manufacturer. I also have an admittedly terrible memory!! o_O

Now I'm curious how Tulabelle compares to FR16, since Fashion Royalty is another Integrity line (sadly, they haven't done much with FR16 yet -- they mostly focus on their original 12" lines, FR/FR2.)

Thanks for the info! Nice to know that Tulabelle is a potential source for jackets/tops! :)

      -- A <3

    41. I bought one FR16 doll thinking her fashion might work on Chic Line.. It was a miserable failure. Not a single piece worked... If I remember correctly, the top was out of scale - way too large, the skirt wouldn't go up the ample bottom of the chic line, and even the shoes wouldn't fit. I just about threw the whole thing across the room, what a waste of money. It's still sitting in the closet waiting for me to summon up the energy to put it on ebay...

The FR16 fit so badly it held me back from getting any of the 16" Poppy Parker Fashion Teen clothes to try, but I have heard that the Tulabelle body is supposed to be similar (or the same?) to the 16" Poppy body, so those might be worth trying too.

I think I do have to emphasize one more thing though, since I raved about how well Tulabelle clothes fit. They work REALLY well scale wise, but are *a little* bit tight and can be a struggle to put on. Still, if it works for photos it works for me!

    42. Norahyah, where are you located at the moment? (Your location on your profile is, um, unrevealing.) I'm curious which FR16 outfit you bought -- I'm finding that things that don't quite work on C-Line often work on Shahti, and the other way around, because their proportions are just that tiny amount different.

I would LOVE to get a chance to try the outfit on Shahti and report back on the fit -- but if you aren't in the US, it's probably not worth back-and-forth postage.

What size bust does your Chloe have, btw? (Jackal has the smallest-size bust, which can affect the fit of clothing -- Shahti is bustier.)

    43. Wish I was still in the U.S... Sigh. My husband got a job in China about a stone's throw away from North Korea, so we've been living here for about 3 years now, only get to go home once or twice a year. We'll be back middle of December for about 3 weeks though, and will probably be traveling a bit visiting friends and family. You won't happen to be in Vegas right after the New Year will you? Then we can have a Chic Line meet up! ^-^

Anyway, the FR16 fashion I tried out was from "Press Magnate Saskia," and even though I somehow accumulated 3 C-line girls, every single one of them has the large bust body. I feel like it's easier for them to share clothes this way!

    44. Franklin Mint ftw. This is from the Gone with Wind series. Pretty damned good fit. The hat arrived green (eh?) but I painted it. The gloves I made. The shoes also fit, but she kept toppling in them as the heels arrived unstuck. They can be got back on again with a dab of glue. Definitely recommended, but not cheap.

    45. GORGEOUS!! *flail* Perfect fit!!!! She looks STUNNING!!

Sadly, no trips to Vegas in my immediate future, unless I win the lottery . . . but I'd love to, if some kind of awesome financial windfall comes my way! :)

    47. Please excuse this genuinely dreadful photo -- the lovely DHawkTX came by to visit the other day, and we didn't have much time -- but we did manage to get a couple of comparison photos of Bimong Shahti vs. ChicLine.

One more here (dolly nudity -- btw, Shahti DOES have sculpted nipples, they're just very subtle . . . and, yes, I need to MSC and body-blush her), of Shahti with a C-Line . . . Nanuri, I think?

Please excuse the TERRIBLE photos -- I took these in a hurry, since Donna couldn't stay too long, and my hands aren't in great shape, so we don't have nude comparisons -- we'll try to get foot size, etc. done at a time when it's not just before Christmas and I'm not rushing to try to get the house ready for a houseguest!

Hope these are helpful -- our conclusions are that they can likely wear each other's clothes, that C-Line females are more petite than Shahti (who only has high-heeled feet -- a non-barefoot C-Line in heels would be taller -- you can see Jackal in the background for comparison, who is on a female C-Line body, wearing high-heeled feet and boots with a slight platform), and that their hands are comparable, but Shahti's head is larger and, specifically, wider.

Shahti doesn't look bad with a C-Line male (sorry, he doesn't have a face-up at the moment), but she does look out of scale with a C-Line female.

BTW, the C-Line girl is wearing an AvantGuards wig -- it's a tight fit (I use clear silicone rubber bands to help hold my wigs in place, Donna uses a bead of hot glue on the front and back of the headcap), but it does look good, and with a little styling, would look great!

      Hope this is helpful!

    48. I thought I would share my experience with my Chicline body and her (limited) wardrobe. She is the large bust, I think model legs.

She has a Franklin Mint dress- the flying blue velvet that is smashing on her:

The fit overall: everything fits perfectly, except the white lace camisole. there is about 1.5 inches of gap in the back-horrid. Luckily, the jacket covers it well, but she looks a tad risque! The jewelry and details are impressive! The shoes DO fit, but they are snug, and it will be hard getting them off. I will cut a slit in the back in the future.

She also had the Franklin Mint Dianna blue velvet gown, stunning. Pardon the crappy cell pic!

The fit: like a freaking glove!! The shoes are huge boats, the jewelry is amazing!!

    50. *Raises hand*

Ok... I have stumbled through this thread. I am getting a CL Rou here soon and I am trying to figure things out. What scale is he on or is he a multi-scale doll? I understand he's a little smaller then a regular msd I think. When I go searching for things that may fit him or sewing patterns what should I look for?

    51. I'll give you the quick and dirty of how I dress my boys. They are smaller than even a slim msd (unoa/narare/minifee) HOWEVER I have found that most pants made for slim mini GIRLS fit these boys very flatteringly. So check out places like TTYA, and anything sized for minifee or unoa girls (HDS, Mio, etc). For shirts I tend to use 1:6 action figure tops which will be a little short in the body, and the sleeves will be short, so don't go for anything long sleeved with the intention of it actually being long sleeved on the boys. I actually use my minifee/unoa boys outer shirts with success.

Shoes wise, Matt o'Neil by toner shoes will be a bit big, but fit. I actually have a pair of sneakers I found on ebay that are smaller than a typical Matt o'Neil that fit mine to a t. No idea where from or what they are. I haven't found another pair since.

    52. THANK YOU! I barely have anything for my El and Ital. I will keep this in mind!

    53. sistercuervo: oh, wow! :o

    54. Hello , do you know some corset who fits on chicline girl ?

    55. My Chic girls have been using Raouken corsets meant for MNF/Narae girls. They are quite nice on them, could be little smaller/delicate to be more in scale but nice anyway. I don't have any pictures atm, sorry about that.

    56. Raouken does (did?) custom CLine corsets too.

    57. Oh she did? That's so beautiful and even better looking than MNF/Narae size. Such a gorgeous photo MadamMauMau!
