Yes, the eyes need to be removed before you apply the eyelashes. Centering eyes just takes practice!

Can you trim down the length of the human lashes? (I've never used them before) I don't know if I want my 1/4 male to has as long of lashes.

It is doable, but it doesn't look as nice. You can try looking for human lower eyelashes, those tend to be shorter!
