Anyone know if nine9style clothes fits the Half Elf (old body) or just any other brand...

 

Has anyone recieved Eos yet? Have seen the pics of Nina on JunkySpot and she looks lovely... If so please post pics of her, really would love to see owner pics of her head/face sculpt. Thank you*grins*

 

Sneaking in w//a quick pic of EOS who I just purchased in normal skin through Junky Spot's recent sales room event! She has a fabulous body! Love her new sculpt and body jointing even better than the 45cm Limhwa/EOS LEDA!

 

She is just stunning! How is her faceplate holding up? I read that it can fall off easily if tilting the head too far.

 

Thanks! No huge problem w/the face plate. I like this system for fp and can always add a dab of silicone ear putty to add a bit of security if needed.

 

Do you have any body pics? I looked at Junkyspot's, but I'd love to see some owner ones

Wow, pinktink, I just love that comparison picture. I love how you can tell they're all from the same artist; they have the same "feel" despite being such radically different sizes. And I love the wig your EOS is wearing, it looks so soft!

Some news everyone. I emailed Limhwa to ask about the Half Elf dreaming head and this was her reply:

Which means we won't be able to get the head alone. Still thought I'd post the news here. I'm going to cross-post it on the other Limhwa threads.

 

Hmm I'm happy Limhwa will sell the dreaming head again. I love it more than the 'normal' head. Now it's waiting until november.

 

Yes. I'll probably have to co-buy with my friend to get that dreaming head.

Does anyone know what eyes fit the dreaming head? Would it be 12mm?

 

how do I order one of these dolls? Will junkyspot get them in? And is there any other place to order them. I heard somewhere that you could order them direct from limhwa. I'm very confused about what's is going on.

 

JunkySpot opens pre-order slots and customers get to place their orders according to their wishes (skin color, face up, etc.) During this time, JS also orders Limhwa dolls for inventory of his store. Just note that dolls he orders for JS come with face up. I'm not sure if he plans to change this any time soon but the last batch of inventory he got he ordered with face up.

As for ordering directly from Limhwa -- before JunkySpot (or any dealer for that matter) carried the dolls, I was emailing the sculptor back and forth and she told me that I could order directly from her. At that time she only accepted bank transfers (she didn't have Paypal) for payment. I don't know if she is still taking orders via email directly or has preferred to leave that handling task to JS and the European dealer (don't have that link, atm.)

So, you can wait for the next pre-order or see if JS will have the doll you want in inventory (next shipment should be here by end of October or beginning of November, I think) ~ Or try to email Limhwa or go through the European dealer (don't know what their rules are.)

Just wanted to let everyone know that a blank Half Elf is available now. Normal skin and for $480 + shipping. Just saw it.

In an email that I got from her she told me dreaming Half Elf would be available for order this November as a full doll only. She won't take just the head. I told Emory but I don't know if he remembers that or not since it was in mid October when I got the email. I'm not sure if he will do it or if you have to go through Limhwa directly.

I'm not sure if she's still available but my Half Elf on the Eos body that I could not bring home was on sale. I never got her so she's been with Emory.

Not a problem! Once Im actually home in the next few days I can give her a proper face and do some compare pics with my other dollies

She's actually quite light, but this is coming from someone with an idealian and eids lol. Here are a couple pics of a quick face up I did for her. I only had a tenth of my supplies so I'll probably will redo her later.






And here she is with my Idealian just to give a sense of scale. Definitly a great smallish yet mature doll

 

Can you guys please tell me where can I buy a Limhwa Doll. I try the link on the first post but it didn't work for me. The only place I found out was junkyspot but they only have the doll I want in Tanned skin

I will be very thankful if you guys give me the information in how and were to buy one of this stunning girls

 

The only place I'm aware of is Junky Spot. Since he just got a shipment of Limhwa in he'll probably open up a preorder. I'd say that would be the best way to get exactly what you want.

 

Thank you. I really don't mind much the tan skin. I just found out arrival pictures of a Tan skin Leda and she is stunning. The only thing I'm scared is because people say tan skin turn green very quickly. But if that happen, I can always make her character a witch and say she used to disguise as a human

I purchased the in-stock Half Elf on EOSdoll body from Junkyspot, and she arrived today! I can take some comparison pictures tomorrow. The body is mostly lovely, though I'm not sure how I feel about the bust... it's just SO BIG compared to the rest of her!

 

I'm considering switching my Half Elf to an EOS version so pictures would definitely be helpful and muchly appreciated.

I am also curious about what other EOS owners think of the pose-ability of this body? Especially compared to the older, somewhat difficult to pose, Limhwa 57 body?

 

I'm so glad to know that she went to a good home.

I'm the one who ordered her on the EOS body and then changed my mind (so she was in stock) about it due to the bust (I like small to normal bust) ~ Still, I'd love to see pictures of my "could have been doll" and how awesome she must look.

I also ordered a normal (old body) Half Elf but family crisis dictated my money had to go elsewhere. The girl who bought her posted her on JS FB page so I was able to see her.

I'm just happy they've both gone to homes where they'll be loved as much as I would have loved them.

From what I have heard of the new body, she poses well but is heavy so some things are kind of difficult to manage. But, I haven't seen pics yet of what poses they can manage. Would be nice to see!

 

Ditto on the "want to see more EOS body posing pics" train! I'm thinking I'll get the dreaming half elf on a EOS body when she releases it next November.

I just paid for the last Leda (tan) on Junkyspot. I haven't received a confirmation email from JS yet tho, so I'm on pins and needles. I suppose it's possible someone else bought her before me and they haven't had a chance to take down the listing yet...

I kinda bit the bullet because the pause in tan production had me nervous. Supia just stopped doing tan altogether, didn't they? I hope Limhwa/EOS doesn't quit making it for good.

 

I doubt they'll stop altogether. Limhwa has been fairly consistent with the production of tan dolls, while Supia has had a hard time with the release from the get-go. When Luts still offered tan delfs, they also paused tan production during the winters because producing it during their wet season apparently messed something up with the casts.

I'm also waiting on Limhwa to re-release their tan. I want another Mono. They'll probably start production again by summer, if the past with other companies has been any indicator.

 

Did they send you an invoice already??

I try to order her this morning too. She wasn't sold out yet. But I wanted her ship to my PO Box so Emory told me to send him and email so he could send me a manual paypal invoice. I'm still waiting for the invoice. So if you did get the invoice congrats. That mean you won her first and I will buy a iplehouse Amy to be my 1st BJD instead

I bet you asked first though, if he said he'd send you an invoice. I guess he'll refund me tonight when he starts going through orders. I think she is officially yours T4124. If you paid for her already Because I asked him if they ship to PO Boxes on Friday. But unfortunately, I didn't complete the money to order her until yesterday, but it was snowing and the Electricity when off in my house. It just came back this morning. So Friday night he send me the email telling me that when I was ready to order to send him the email with my address. So I could do a manual paypal invoice.

If she ends up going to you, I think I'll wait until they start doing tan again to order, since I really love the tan skin. I just read your post that you were worried about them turning green, but I have a tan ToYou Sara from 2010 and she hasn't changed at all that I can tell, so don't worry if you get her in tan! I think other companies have more of a problem with greening, Iplehouse is a big one unfortunately.

If you end up having to go with the next order, would you get a natural skin one or wait for tan too?

I honestly don't care much about the skin color. I think she still gorgeous in any color. I felt in love with her face mold and her body sculpt. for some reason I LOVE the hands of Limhwa dolls and I never care about the hands until now . I was 100% sure I wanted an Iplehouse Amy until I saw Leda unfortunately I didn't had the money to buy her right away

The only problem I had with tan skin was I thought they turn green to quickly. I have seen pictures of tan resin from iplehouse and they turn green like in 24 hours in the sun. I was scared of that happening with a tan Leda that's the only reason i wanted a NS because they turn yellow but not very fast. I think if I have to go with the next order I wouldn't be able to wait for the tan skin. I will order one in any skin color they have, but with a face up because I don't have any idea how to do one myself. I'm a complete newie to this.

I just want a Limhwa Leda real bad. She is just so stunning and besides Iplehouse she is one of the few MSD with mature bodies. I intend for my 1st bjd to be an adult. I already have a name and character for her

T4124, I just got an email from Junkyspot and they told me the last Leda was sold out. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I will see you all next year when they have more in stock and I buy my 2nd bjd

 

Congratulations! I emailed Limhwa and she said that it is definitely not a suspension of tan (like it was for Supia) but rather that the weather conditions are poor and she doesn't want the quality to become affected. Let's cross our fingers that this holds true!

On tan skin yellowing:

Iplehouse started with a tan skin that reacted poorly to sunlight and turned green. They're not the only company who's had that happen to them; I believe back in the day there was also a Hound who turned green. That being said, both Supia and Limhwa have never had this problem documented before, and I think that's likely because their colourant and/or resins are completely different than Iple's realskin -- which seemed to have a bit of a environmental resin in them to get that glowing skin look - which is why the colour changed.

Also, for your peace of mind, when Iple's realskin dolls started greening, they replaced the resin they used for their next batches, and there have been no more reports of the same intensity ever since, so in the future going forward, greening will likely not be that way again.

 

Just a dumb question but if someone want to sell the old Limhwa body,,,I'm seaching for one in french resin I do not like the EOS body..

Do the EOS girls come with the high heel feet included??

Eos girls don't come with high heel feet. In fact when I asked Limhwa about it ... well, it didn't seem like a feature she'd be coming out with any time soon.

I have seen older Limhwa and Supia hybrids -- but I don't know what could match right now. There's also that part of the 'feel' of the Limhwa resin which doesn't match many other feels.

 

So since they don't come with high heel feet, does anyone know how compatible the high heel feet from the 57 body would be with the EOS body?
