What a pity the old 75cm body doesn't hold poses very well, it's so well sculpted. The new body looks very nice too but personally I'm not too sure about the large bust. Decision, decision...

 

JunkySpot said the next preorder would be 'very soon'. But that's about it. I'm guessing before summer ends, though, or, in all probability, when his stock arrives. Turnaround time to JunkySpot from Limhwa was expected to be about two months. So, I'm guessing there'll be another order when the stock comes in -- you might even get lucky, and want a doll that's in stock instead of having to wait on a pre-order.

Of course, this is just my speculation, but it sounds reasonable.

 

You should email him about that. I'm getting my Half Elf on the new body even though that option wasn't posted on the pre order thread.

I also am not convinced on the large bust but if anything a breast reduction would cost me $50 so I'm not worried. Limhwa said there would be no smaller bust option soon but maybe she will later. I guess that in her eyes she might not find a small bust to look "adequate" -- who knows. I will wait and see since I was looking at the old body chest circumference and there isn't that large of a numerical difference from Eos.

You know... I may just have to jump on the next pre-order too and get a Leda... or Mono. Perhaps I need to get both -- but not at the same time of course. I think my Half Elf needs to have some siblings that look like her. ^_~

Me too! I'm excited to get mine in, since I'll be using him for the Anniversary contests. With a purple Mono walking around, and a stark white one, it's perfectly fitting for 'Me and My Shadow'!

 

It's tough to wait. I wish there were more Leda pictures for me to look at while I'm waiting but I guess there just aren't many out there.

I guess someone on the JunkySpot Facebook wall had the same questions as us about shipping so here is the "news" :

 

Dollsoflace, you are AWESOME - I've been dying to find out some news from Junky Spot. I'm getting really excited. I just have to hang on for another 2 weeks or so.

BTW have folks got their wigs and eyes for their incoming dolls yet?
I've been trying to be financially prudent and sell the two pairs of ginarolo eyes I bought earlier for other now sold dolls in order to fund some nice eyes for Leda, but if Leda is going to be here in two weeks perhaps I shouldn't wait any longer and just go ahead and buy now. I'd hate for her to arrive without having any eyes or wig for her.

 

I'm really holding back from shopping ahead of myself as I too want to get eyes for my Half Elf that are really, really nice. I wanted to jump on Aisu order but it opened and closed far too quick for my refreshing page capabilities. I'm still stalking my opportunity. Anyone have any recommendations on really nice, realistic eyes?

I did get my Half Elf a wig though. It was an impulse buy but I couldn't resist. I'm not sure how her face up will turn out but at least she won't be bald when she arrives. I'm so anxious to have her though! She's my first resin girl (and doll of that size) and I'm afraid my friend's gifted Shoshon will get here first than her. I had been saving my resin "virginity" as it were for my Half Elf.

So for now, I have no eyes -- but a wig. But I know I'll buy her some eyes come first of August when I get paid. (Picking the color is another difficult choice!)

 

anyone know when either junkyspot or eosdoll.com will take more orders?

 

Emory (JunkySpot) hasn't yet mentioned anything about the next pre-order period. He will have some dolls in stock at the JunkySpot store when they arrive. He ordered for those of us who got on the first pre-orders but he also got "stock" for himself.

He did mention that the pre-orders he did for people did put a bit of a dent on finances (since most people only paid a "deposit" when he submitted them to Limhwa, so the rest was out of his own pocket) so I am not sure how the next pre-order will work. Perhaps a bit different than the first wave.

I know there is an European dealer for Limhwa -- but I'm not sure how they operate.

Update on Limhwa Pre-Orders: Limhwa is finishing up our order, estimating shipping them to me at the end of this month, so i'm guesstimating arrival maybe end of the first week of August or so. I am putting off the 2nd preorder until we actually receive the dolls, to iron out any potential issues.

I'm terribly in love with the Dreaming Half Elf, and asked both JunkySpot and EOS (via Flickr) about her re-release. EOS responded on Flickr saying "I will think about reselling Dreaming head later. Thank you." And now Triskel says in their news thread that LIMHWA may re-release if there is enough interest. So please please PLEASE! If you're interested in getting the beautiful dreaming head, write to LIMHWA, JunkySpot, or Triskel with me! Maybe we can get her re-released!

 

I'm more than super interested in the Dreaming Half Elf head. I will definitely write to Limhwa. She's always been very kind to me in her responses and you're right; if she sees enough interest we can manage to get her to release it again.

 

I wonder if that means if enough people asked for Heartbreak Boy he might have a chance of being released.

personnaly, I want to see Human back! I used to have one but sold her and when junkyspot took orders, she wasn't available. and the other place that deal limhwa dolls (forgot the name ) doesn't sell her either D: so I am pretty sure now she is discontinued

 

dollsoflace, YAY! I'm so glad to hear another person is nutters about that face, too! I'm on the edge of my seat, hoping she'll let us order her by the time the next JunkySpot pre-order comes about.

riversoblood, don't stop dreamin'! dollsoflace is right, LIMHWA is extremely nice in correspondence, perhaps if you and others write her about him, she'll consider it? Have you asked her about him before?

It's nice to be around other limhwa fans! :-D Yes, I have asked her before. She said she wasn't sure. I wonder if I could start a thread or a petition for him or something or if that would be rude.

 

I'd love Half Elf (the dreaming head drives me crazy, I love it so much!) and Mano, but right now, I couldn't provide the funds to back up the want.

Still, I'm definitely interested. I sincerely love these two sculpts to bits. My other Mono is coming this month, too! I'm so excited!

 

Btw -- on a related but different question... am I the only one who has ordered her Half Elf with the new Eos body? Or well... at any rate... who is considering her on the new body for the next pre-order?

 

riversoblood, I don't think starting a fan club or a thread or something would be rude! Surely it'd be flattering more than anything. And it'd draw more attention to your "cause." XD

dollsoflace, I don't think any of the other dealers even offered the new bodies yet. I think you're probably the only one with the new body on the way since you ordered directly. =D How did you find out how to order directly from EOS?

I hope you post lots and lots of pictures. I really want to see what the earlier heads look like on the new bodies.

 

Well actually, I had been emailing Limhwa's creator since March, if I remember correctly. Back then I had the money to buy the Half Elf according to Dollfair price, but she wasn't really open to sales back then. I think she was "in limbo" with everything that happened. My impression from her short emails was that she wasn't sure she would keep making them. But I kept faithful and emailed her every so often telling her a lot of people loved her dolls. Friends helped too in this whole, "Don't give up," campaign since I have about 5 friends who wanted Limhwa dolls.

Eventually, I had to use up the doll money on "life" and stopped emailing her in fear that she would say, "I'll sell" and then I wouldn't have the money. And that's exactly what happened. When I realized she was looking for someone to help her with sales I gave the tip to Emory from JunkySpot (since I've previously bought from him and trust his dependability a lot) in hopes they'd close a deal. Seems like it worked.

So, even though Limhwa offered to sell directly to me (she was taking direct bank transfers) I went through JunkySpot on my order (and told her so) because I only needed to make a deposit. I actually ordered her in tan but then it occurred to me that I wanted the new body so I asked Emory and he asked Limhwa for me and it turned out possible. Half Elf has the same head size as Nina, the new girl. I opted for that body instead because it looked like a better poser. (They're also beautifully double jointed!)

It's possible to get the Eos body with the Half Elf through JunkySpot (just has to be specified and I think only normal skin was viable -- can't remember) but you'd have to pay Eos doll price (which is $520)~

photos of the EOS’ body and Nina, in their sales page for the EOS girls. I’m quite impressed
with the proportions of the body, especially the torso – if only the breasts were not as large… XP

Yes. I wish the breasts were a bit smaller... but I'll live with it... or mod it. I really like the curves of the new Eos body a lot, especially the width of her shoulders. Her legs are also beautiful. I'm very happy I chose that body for my girl in the end. Poses good too, he said.

 

I really love that Eos girl, she has such a lovely face and a killer body to boot! If she was in NS I would buy her immediately, but right now it will be wait and see owner pics of this new body first!

Email him or leave him a comment on FB (since it seems he is swamped with emails) and let him know your registered username and he should manually approve you then. I had that same issue joining. >_>

You can email Limhwa directly and ask to buy. I'm not sure if she's doing that now but before JunkySpot officially started taking orders I got the offer to buy it directly from her.

is EOS body is similar with Leda 43cm?
I mean, apart from the 60cm vs 43 cm, is the joint etc same?

and is EOS good at keeping pose as well?

Chrianda, where did you see your actual tracking number? I've had two messages about my order but I can't find my tracking! Was there anything your specific e-mail said?

marxwyn, I'd expect that because the bodies are different scales, and sculpted at different times, there'll be definite differences between the two, though I'm not sure what they are. Can someone in the room answer the question better?

My fantastic normal skin EOS arrived in Florida yesterday via UPS! Sadly I only got to peek at her to be sure she is o.k. because I've got a house full of family visiting including 3 small boys. BJD + small kids = disaster!

My Limwha YoSDs arrive from Junky Spot today! I'm so thrilled with them - especially the tan boy. He'as amazing!

 

I took my girl's arms off to position her elastic knot better, and finally got her arm pieces mixed up. I had been so careful up to this point! Now I can't tell which forearm piece is left and right. ={ I have her put back together, but I keep just looking at her arms and I absolutely cannot tell for the life of me if they're wrong. Sometimes they seem backwards and sometimes they don't. ARGH!

(Edit: OK, I switched them and now they seem right-er, but I bet I'll be plagued by doubts for a while!)

 

I can't wait to see owner's pic of the EOS body...very tempted over here

 

T4: Ha ha ha! That always happens to me! I mark the insides of my doll's parts, now, so that I can tell which side is which. Sometimes I still think I might've accidentally switched Lu's arms around. Oops.

My new Mono (that means Mono number two!) is in the city, now! I'm waiting for customs to let him go, and then send him to the post office!

edit: Customs let him go! I hope he'll be here tomorrow!
