Huh, see I wrote off Ruru myself because the eyes looked a little small + she had less of a smile, but faceup can change both those characteristics so much...if that's tan, then it's got to be her.

@evilhamster13 it's definitely Ruru and the color is tan. Ruru and June do look a lot alike, in fact June was originally supposed to be tan skin, but for some reason they decided to release June in NS and tweak the sculpt for Ruru.

 

@evilhamster13 I'm very tempted by the ruru but the seller doesn't offer shipping outside USA

 

@Alewife well, that’s an interesting bit of history! They do look similar...it would have been nice if more of the girls had gotten a release in the tan. ;w;

@Follow-the-Wind oh darn. well, if you decide you want her, you could always drop them a message and see if they can change the listing to include international, especially if you suggest a shipping service to use and save the hassle of figuring that out.

 

@evilhamster13 agreed, the tan was a beautiful color.

 

Arcane Desires, I don't post much here, but it's always so lovely to see you posting photos of your dolls. They are clearly SO loved and treasured - and always beautifully styled! It makes me smile every time I see them - and they're some of the few dolls that I recognize by name when I see their photos!!! I always especially recognize Clove!! I can't wait to see your Vivien!!

 

Hi folks! I got an Elfdoll K head in a trade and I love him so much. I can't believe I didn't really know about this company's sculpts before now! I know he has a smaller neck opening than some of my other SD boys (because he doesn't quite work on my Mirodoll head stands or on the Akagidoll SD body I was playing around with last night). I'm trying to find measurements for his head and original body online, but I'm not having much luck.

From another thread, I see that his original body was very close in size to the Iplehouse oYID body but with thinner thighs and more narrow shoulders.

I'm still searching through the DOA archives, but does anyone here know if K would hybrid well with a Doll Chateau Y-02 body?

EDIT: I just found a string of posts that say that the Domuya Flexi body is a good fit!

 

@emac congratulations on getting K! I love the Elfdoll boys and have everyone but Mir. Bodies are hard, though. How about one of the Luts Delf bodies?

@ArcaneDesires I agree with you on using larger bodies. I'm using Granado and Supia girl bodies and the old Granado 64cm guybod (sadly discontinued). I had to enlarge the neck holes on all the heads, but not by much.

 

I don't have any big Elfdoll boys, but I like the Dollzone body I have for my girl. Skintone is fine for normal and snow skin, and no neck modding was needed.

 

No pics since may? What happened?

I took photos of my Sian lately. I discovered she has a flaw on one shoulders. She has a crack on it. I've seen it's quite common with this Soom body but I'm disappointed nonetheless.
Well, I still like her!

 

It’s a lovely picture! I’m so sorry to hear about her shoulder. But, you can probably fix it, or at least shore it up so it won’t get any worse. If you can find a really low viscosity cyanoacrylate glue (super glue type glue) you could probably put it on the crack and it could get into the crack by capillary action. Just make sure you get a really thin formula. Someone at a hobby store, who sells glue for model making would be able to help you.

I managed to get my hands on Elfdoll Eun-a head and now I need to find her a body.
I've been eyeing the new Supiadoll ballet body, since it looks mature enough for my liking.

My question is, would that be ok hybrid colourvise?
The seller couldn't say when the head was made but it is more in pinkish in colour since it has been storaged in the box the whole time

 

I have heard that Supiadoll is a good match for Elfdoll. Congrats on your girl. She is one of my favorites. I have mine on a Dollzone body.

 

Please, give me an advice. Anyone experience with Elfdoll homme skin (Tasha) and Granado nuevo (normal skin) girl body? I found some reference but I'm confused about new/old resin...

 

@Arengil the proportions are good but the resin match is way off, unfortunately. I wish I could find a good match for homme skin

 

@Alewife Thank you. Oh... That's bad news... The blushing is not helpful? ...or maybe Granado willing to adjust the color of their skin?? I'm afraid I fell in love with this Elfdoll head + Granado body connection.

 

I really like how Elfdoll heads look on Granado bodies. I have several hybrids like that. Homme skin is difficult. It's pinker than Granado tan... darker than NS... much lighter than sunshine...

I wonder if it would work to use Granado tan and blush the head so it's not as pink??

 

They do. Granado offers custom resin matching, at least they did last time I checked. It won't hurt to ask them

I am also currently in the progress of finding a body for my homme Hazy boy, but am leaning towards resinsoul at the moment. He's on a B&G body at the moment, but the match is poor. Thankfully there is no hurry with dolls.

 

I just did this "tutorial" to show what I've done to match bodies and heads. Maybe it will give you the courage to try something? I'd go for a slightly darker body, and match the head to it during faceup (only works if there is no faceup yet)

 

I'll likely get the head airbrushed if the color fit doesn't end up happening since I already have one matched that way and the look is pretty nice and I don't feel comfortable doing faceups. But thankfully there is no hurry and I can keep on thinking about it while I work on other doll plans for now.

At least it'll give me time to think more about what kind of body I'd actually want. I have some thoughts, but nothing super definitive. RS would be ok, since the doll isn't going to be posed much and mainly just sit around fully clothed. And they'd be able to resin match so that the parts that are visible would match up.

Tasha rem. homme s. // Granado nuevo NS. Not so bad... I don't know how old is this body... (not mine, owner: Rolnička). The head is darker. Sorry about bad photo...

Can anyone here tell me the neck size of a K? I'm really wanting a K head to hybrid but I can't find the neck size anywhere.

 

Hi! Back in the day, Elfdoll posted the neck circumference of both their boy bodies (standard and larger) as 10cm. So that at least gives you an idea, although I do not have a K to measure for you. Hope it helps!

Sorry if it's not accurate (multitasking is hard ) but it shows 3cm and 2.5cm respectively (idk which one to choose but maybe showing both would help more), so @Mandagore is right, neck circumference should be about 10cm!

I bought a NS Elfdoll Rita head on Etsy. What would be a good body for it to match colour and proportion?

 

I keep seeing this thread pop up, and so I thought I’d finally share my Bambu. She still doesn’t have a proper name.

 

@blackdahlia I like Supia bodies (the regular ones, not the ballerina body), or Granado maiden bodies. NS is a pretty good match, but if you have one of the super-pink Ritas, it might be a challenge.

Does anyone have a Rainy head (Tasha/Vivian/or similar) on the Dollstown 17 girl body?

 

Do you think copper oriental Dollstown/Dollshe skin color is similar to Elfdoll homme skin?

 

I own both copper oriental and elfdoll homme skin. I never did the comparison, but I fear they are not very similar. Sadly I do not have my dollstown elf body in copper oriental at home, so I can't take a comparison picture, sorry !

That's fine, I choose between an oriental DT17 and copper oriental DT17 body for my Tasha (homme skin) and this is very useful information for me! Thank you very much! So do you think the oriental 17yr body will be a better (blushable) choice for her?

 

Unless the head already has a beautiful faceup, I would blush the head to the body???

 

Do you think it is possible to lighten the head? If is homme resin darker than DT oriental... She is supposed to be a Nordic goddess, so paleness will probably be fine. My only concern is the practical design of the painting. I'm not skilled, but at the same time I want to do it for my Tasha myself.

@Pandy Your Bambu is very beautiful! I like her sweet and realistic face.

 

Well, I've changed a "normal" R&R head to a no darker yellow Loongsoul resin. Can you see it here?



I can't remember, but I think I lightened up my Anna to match Impldoll pink normal which is a lot lighter. And I can say that Angeltoast matched a new luts delf body to my older CP luts head (lightened the head) I'm sure she used a airbrush but I used white pastel chalk.

 

@IngieBee Thank you for your inspiration! I'll try it. I'll probably want to paint the details of the body anyway, so if I paint both, I'll have a better chance of combining it into a single color tone. Good luck to the brave collectors!

Originally, my idea included the Granado Nuevo body, but this DT17 oriental body is better for her. I love my Nordic goddess so much!
Of course, she needs a light faceup and blush...
