Go, go, bishseinen Mir!! lol

Hey, even if we were painting the wig sitting side-by-side, they would come out differently.
Even if they would say 'don't I know you from someplace??' a lot.

So, please do it.

*laughs* I just may. It would be fun, but Mir is primarily for my character, Tachi, who is in his 20s. But still, I'm remarkably fond of your idea, and may just do it for pure enjoyment once I have my character settled in. A little white pastel atop the coated resin wig cap might even make for a fun and temporary Biseinen!Tachi.

 

Oh my god, you're right!! He DOES look like Jin from LOST.

That's it : If I do manage to get a Mir, I'm so calling him 'Jin'!

I absolutely love this mold. I have been waiting patiently for a Asian looking mold and now I finally have mine! lol. I preordered him today... I couldn't not get him. He has this... mysterious air about him... stunning.

The only thing I don't like is the resin wig head... it just looks odd. If noone wants it in my split, then I'm probably gonna sell it. I can't stand the fake looking hair.. reminds me of a toupee XDD

Okay, I just checked the Elfdoll website....... is he really sold out already?!? That would be heartcrushing as I wanted to place my order for him on Saturday. Please don't tell me I missed my chance to order my dreamboy *cries*

 

He'll go regular, so you can get him that way I'm waiting for the regular release as I couldn't afford the limited one... I absolutely need him!

Yeah, I know but I actually wanted the Special edition as I really liked the resinhairwig, outfit, etc.

I had *just* gotten the money to order him, so to see him sold out really makes me sad

 

I can't wait to have him He'll be my upgraded Ju-ken doll and he'll go with Anna T. doll (and ElfDoll June I just ordered this week ).

 

He is gorgeous! So gorgeous! *___* I wish there were more dolls like him... Is his skin colour different from the other elfdolls or is it just the pictures?

It's just the pictures -- they state on the site that he's Elfdoll Homme, which is the normal boy skin color.

 

Eiko82, you could maybe buy him from another shop. I see you are in Thailand, so it's not convenient for you, but it looks like these U.S. shops have him available:

I think he's very handsome! I hope he comes with a normal headcap, too. The resin wig is interesting to say the least.

I love Elfdoll's face sculpts. I wish they sold only heads, because their bodies are a bit thin for my taste. Anyway, I can't wait until Mir goes standard!

I wish Elfdoll would sell heads, too, Mustbemissa. I actually really like their bodies, but I love their heads so much that I wish I could get a whole bunch to paint differently!

 

I just have to say that I nearly hyperventilated when I saw Mir. I really want all those Elfdoll boys (esp. Wu & Mir)!! Elfdoll and Dollshe are my favorites!!

 

I've been so enjoying the loooong threads (and multiple ones) for the Pukipuki, PKF and LTF, and feeling sad because there isn't the same kind of "spam sharing" going on for my Mir Makoto.

Trinlayk, your boy looks great! I've always loved Mir. So handsome, and strong looking, and awesomely Asian!

It's a shame the Elfdoll boys don't seem to be very popular anymore. I wish Rainman would redesign the boy body, and make it a little more buff, just to compete with all the new boy sculpts coming out that are so muscular.

 

Rabbit-moon: Thanks! we did some house/cat sitting out in the country a week ago, and I took almost 100 photos. (ok so a lot were of wild life) and Makoto had a great time with cosplay and running about the antique house and the wonderful garden.

When I got him, there didn't seem to be many Mir's around, but I'd seen one on someone's blog and fell in love...
Makoto-kun was my first BJD...

Your boy is so cute! I love the costume he is in! And, the red eyes look good on him.

Yes, unfortunately, there aren't many Mirs around. (Which I don't understand because he is so awesome!) It could be that he's a little too masculine for most collectors' taste. It seems like a lot of the really popular boy sculpts are very soft and feminine looking; whereas with Mir there is no way anyone would mistake him for a girl. He's all MAN!

Who knows? Maybe revitalizing this old thread will introduce a new member to the awe and handsome splendor that is "Mir".

Had a great time at a dollmeet today, got some great shots of Makoto in a new outfit and wig, and hanging out with his family.

Dollmeets are fun! Nothing like being in a room with a bunch of other crazy BJD fans! Was it your first?

I love my Mir.

 

I did manage to snag a Mir head in normal pink tone and another in the pinkish white tone from the recent EF sale, so a body hunt will be on soon. Wasn't able to get a reminsce head tho. Ive seen someone who'd done some great eye opening on the Mir closed eye head!

I figure ill be looking for bodies a bit taller or bulkier than the EF body. Mir is a bigger head than, say, the Aden.

I have a Rem Mir -- Daichi the Buddhist monk --

His face-up is by Glyndon and his slight eye mod is by Funnylori, both DoA members. His prayer beads are by orangebabydolly, and his prayer wheel was a serendipitous purchase at a Dolk store in Japan

Since Elfdoll went away, it’s sad to think of their sculpts being forgotten. We need to stir up more interest, especially for the boy sculpts. Reviving the Mir thread is a start
