wow...that is so awesome! and you had an extra body for the extra head. That's perfect...look at those twins! they are so cute! congrats!

 

Well, you know how it came about that i had a leftover body for my second Winky head, and i would not call it a very happy experience!

Just happy she is no longer worlds worst hybrid (IHS YID/Elfdoll tiny hybrid!)

ARUGH!!!!!!!!!! Now I finally understand what my friends mean when they say my dolls creep them out. Arugh! I have to go watch Saw V to get this scary image out of my head.

imajica - I have thought of that a bit with Ghloe, but I stopped that thinking because I adore her glow. I supose it could be something to maybe try, if it looks like a fit, someday. Thanks.

catclawtub, those eyes just transform Estelle's (Kai's) face! They make her look so dreamy and serene - I hardly recognized what doll she was at first! What size did you have to use? They had to be tiny! She's just stunning from her wig down to her acorn!

 

They are 5 mm, believe it or not! They were difficult to put in. I had to use a toothpick!

 

Her dress is lovely too! Where did you get it?

Aww Estelle is so pretty, she reminds me of Alice in Wonderland in that pretty dress.

 

I've just taken some close ups of the girls and then played with sepia and greyscale. I'm not sure about the sepia, it appears to be too pink but that may be because my original photos looked a bit that way. I don't like taking photos indoors but I was tidying up so couldn't be seen to keep wandering off into the garden!!!
Anyway, here are a few of the girls. I particularly like the photo of Min as it really shows her personality and just look at those pouty lips...I'm not sure that Jin does sepia very well though!

O and Sharon, I love youre pics. i just put the costume you made for me on my Adel, and it is everything i wanted. somehow it suits her even better than it did on youre Jin. I will post a pic monday, cuttently i am at my parents house and left the camera at home.

catclawtub your little Kai is so gorgeous. I changed my girls eyes too, I thought I would go insane. Having said that my supia is much harder to change eyes for and she is huuuuuuuuuuuge!

Sharon your girls are fabulous. Those photos show how amazing the faceups really are. Min is incredible and I never noticed how gorgeous her lips were before. You Jin is such a sweet looking girl. Bong is just pure Bong love

Thanks clochette! I was just lucky this time, they came out quite clear, I usually have a lot of blurred ones. I wish I knew how to use something like Photoshop....I really need to read the manual that my hubby bought for me!!!!

dambuster01, your pictures are lovely. I wouldn't have gotten an ED tiny if I hadn't seen closeups of their expressions, like yours. How in the world do they paint so small. I thought I was going blind doing a Brownie, these are much smaller. And more precise.

imajica and catclawtub, I wanted to change eyes too, but Kai's are just too teensie so she'll stay default for a long while. For other tinies, I used toothpicks, tweezers and a straightened paper clip, also the picks in cocktails. It took me an hour or so, the putty kept peeking in.

 

Sharon, I think I love the Jin photo best! She's so lovely!

Cyberspacegirl, I missed your twin Winkys! However did you get a second body? Is it "borrowed"? So cute together! Man, I need another if the price is so low! Wish I had mulah, I'd get one for my Darling Daughter :P She'd love that!

So anyway, anyone going to the party tonight? I'm gonna try. We only have one working car, so I dunno how it'll go but hopefully I can snag it for a while at least

I really dont like to tell this story, but I kinda lost the original 1st edition Sylf head in a bowl of dye. I used to love, love the dyed Min in this thread, i think it was Linauko's?

Somehow the head got off the hook and landed on the bottom of a pan of very non-transparent, very brown and very hot dye. By the time I managed to find it, it had kinda lost, how shall i say it "structural integrity"?

 

wow...I can understand why you don't like to tell that story...makes you wince. I'm so glad that doll is now whole again though. Lucky your winky came with two heads huh?

 

It was kind of a traumatic experience.

 

Wow, that is horrible... I'm sure you felt terrible about it, but it really wasn't your fault. It could have happened to anyone. These dolls are so small that it makes it difficult to do the smallest tasks with them.

I just got back from the Artmaze party and I got 3 new wigs for the girls I do want to find their final look before starting my comic (yah right...starting) LOL. Anyway, here is Winky's final look, Min's new girlier do and Kai looking very feminine







LOL, Min's hair is a bit messy, but I don't know where my wig brush is, and it's missing a tie, but I'll fix that. I just wanted to show pictures anyway :P

I think the one my Min has on is the Kayla wig. The Meagan wig is much straighter. I guess the size is too small for proper curls, however I’m considering boil perming the hair curlier :P. Just have to find something that will make good curlers. I’m kind of angry with myself for not picking up a second blond Meagan wig for the other Winky head. I glue them down on the heads, so switching constantly would wear out the wig…. Oh, scratch that, they can share the headcap, LOL

I'd love the Kayla wig in blond though, tha's what I really want for my Winky!

that's the same edition...you can tell by the ears. The open eyed head is the one Wilkies has in the pic...it's possible eithor she got a new faceup, or the open eyed head has less freckles than the winking one. Or, it's just how the pics look.

this first and second edition stuff confuses me, I don't see a particular place to see comparison shots or an archive for only tiny elfdolls so I don't know what to think.

Aw, no she doesn't, but that'd be so awesome! I am a freckle-a-holic ;P I don't have many if any myself, neither do my kids but my sister and one of her son's have the cutest freckles! I'm so jealous! I'm still in love with a little boy I knew in grade school with curly red hair and of course freckles He was so cute, I mean C U T E in his little league uniform! Ugh, I'm still in love with this guy! LOL Don't know what happened to him though

 

My Winkys cam just last week, and neither of them has freckles.

The difference is very easy to see when you look at the ears. Compare the ears of mine, in post 3060 to these ears (not my pic):

New Winky has big saucer Elfears, old edition has small human ears.

I spend my entire sunday morning restringing tiny feet. And I finally got the commision outfit Dambuster made for me. Ever since i got Adel I wanted a Peter Pan outfit for her!
Dont know why i wanted it so bad, i just did. All I need to do now is paint her shoes!

Blue- look on the gallery for pics of elfdoll tinies and you'll find pics of old and new winkys. But finding a faceup artist to do elfdoll tiny size is very hard...they have the smallest faces ever!
Ingie- My Lyn has adorable freckles. I think Tinybear did her faceup...you should ask if she can do one for one of your girls.

 

cyberspacegirl - I adore that Peter Pan outfit. Your girl looks awesome! It is such a fun idea that you can commission what you like. Great outfit Sharon.

Ingie - Oh, I thought that was the Meagan on Min. I have one that looks like that in blonde. I think Lonestar dolls has them still. I got my Meagan from there. I guess the Kayla is very similar then. Thanks. Ask at Lonestar dolls for the blonde one. It is darker blonde.
Here is the Meagan blonde one. It is cute. It may be a tad large, but I think that is how these wigs are.

 

I think the best freckles I ever saw (see) are from Tinybear! Love the way they spred on the shoulders n stuff! Just beautiful! I have, unfortunately, other things I need to pay for before I spend money on faceups, LOL (like a wig for my Mini boy who has been bald since I got him - another Tinybear item, as I can't think of anything better!) and clothes, and I joined a secret santa so I've got to put together something really nice

Dollightful, I think the Kayla would be much more different if it were a larger scale, but it's so small! There definately is more curl and a bit longer in the Kayla than the Megan (saw them side by side) and part of why I chose Kayla was because .... my memory! I knew that if I had the wig, I wouldn't constantly pine for it and I'd know what it was really like, as I'd have forgotten all about it if I haddn't. I just really wish I had bought the meagan wig in blond too, so Winky could have two looks. Oh well, next time (I was like $3 short LOL)

I ordered the Kai at junkyspot too. Whoops. they said it was the first edition kai- which eyes will she come with? the light blue or those dark ones?

I have been all over the two elfdoll tiny threads but I need help with eyes-so Kai takes 3mm? where can I get these?

I have a link for lauschaer glasaugen- has anyone bought from their site directly? are those 3mm sized eyes they have? not sure I was reading it correctly.

Okay, eyes. For Kai, She has 5mm...but 3mm irises I think. The best place to get her size is from Dreamingtree on etsy...see catclawtub's Kai- she has beautiful dreamingtree eyes.
Also, the new edition comes with a set of two different colored eyes; blue and brown. I have a pair that someone sent me that I don't need (don't have a kai or as small eyes to fit them) that I could send to you if you want them. But I'd really suggest Dreamingtree. Take a look, and they're only about $3 or less each pair.

 

ah ok I found her on Etsy- so 5mm eyes... they are even cheaper than that. Cool I will get a few pairs. but she doesn't mention the size of the irises.

If you have those light blue ones I have seen on Kai I would love to buy them from you. Of course I don't know what the first edition kai I ordered will come with- do you know?

Um...I think the first edition has brown eyes. I have the second edition eyes...one is blue, one is brown, and since they were given to me, I can give them to you if you want them...PM me if you do.
As for dreamingtree, you can ask her dirrectly, she's usually good with finding sizes and customizing for people...I also think you should get ahold of catclawtub...she knows most about the sizes for Kai eyes and dreamingtree.

I really love the freckles that Kaye Wiggs does on her faceups, they are sooo soft and natural looking.
My son had lovely freckles as a small boy, he still gets them in the summer months but not as dark as they used to be!!

Oh, I got my cool faun legs from Daisydayes! They look awesome!! I do not know when I am going to get to decorating them before I put them on. When I am done I will post photos, whenever that may be. I wonder... will they be on Min or Bong?

I have a first edition Kai. Mine is named Carabosse. I think she is the perfect bad fairy as she has sly little eyes and a rather cross expression. Mine came with blue eyes.

The Winky pic you post there is the special edition that was never sold, but was intended to be a store special for one of Davona's shops, i think she was named "shopfordollsandbears"at that time.
