Woohoo! New Elfdoll thread. I had thought the thread was getting a bit big. It's probably a good idea with the new releases approaching.

hehe, cool! we talked enough about elfdoll tinies to warrant a new thread! Aren't they so popular? yay!

 

YAY! I found the new thread! I'm so torn at the moment, I'm looking forward to an update on new Elfdoll tinies, but at the same time dreading it from a financial standpoint. See I've already got my eye on Flower Elf Rosey, and she's going to want a Seedling to keep her company, not to mention clothing. Then there's a Banji over at Dollmore that's been whispering to me too....and all three dolls together will run me over $500...so I'm well and truly damned if Elfdoll unveils anything else to tempt me! LOL! Anybody else feel my pain?!

Yup. I certainly do. I have 2 elfdoll tinies...and a seedling I won at IDEX...and I sooo wanted one of the new ones...but; I can't afford to buy a new doll at all! And I was so gonna get one...but then I realized I had bills XP.

 

I'm going to see who the new tinies are. But I might get a seedling and a Rosie if not. It depends a bit on money and who they produce!

i'm guessing that the new tinies will come out when they have the new site up and running!


for me it is tough too, i shouldn't be buying new dolls but i feel like i really want to. i didn't buy a doll since last summer. but the finances at the moment aren't so great, plus i also really would love a porcelain enchanted doll, but that i don't know how i'm going to do that. (price is around $1600)

it really depends who the new tinies are and how they are done up. i said this in the flickr elfdoll tiny group, i don't really like the wigs they come with nowadays, i would love if they started glueing wigs again.
i don't think i can say now what i'll do because elfdoll tinies are my favourite and they have this kind of magic so they can make me scrounge up money and buy them.
i do feel happy with my three girls and i know i'll live with not buying another, but it might be hard according to how they'll look!
so it's just "wait and drink tea" as the german saying goes (abwarten und tee trinken). plus some good chocolate

 

It does depend on how they look to me too... But they are always so pretty to me. My dream is that they would release a boy tiny or Ggonzi. I know that won't happen though.

 

I would like a boy tiny too! If I had one to 'spare' I would mod him into a boy for clothes
They just re-did the Artmaze site too- tho not sure what all they did or if they finished.
Managed to get a cu of Bongys new fu this am and thought I would pop in and share it now that we have a new thread! I love how fresh and smooth her face is again.

Oh Bong is so cute! I'm glad you didn't change her adoreable face! I don't know how you did it, I find it hard to keep the same look going, but she has that same freckled sun glow she had before

 

she looks very cute with the new faceup and the pink wig makes her look so sweet! love the freckles too!

 

Thank you ) The hardest part is getting the same brows! I love the winsome look it gives her. She is so nice and clean all over- oh she was in terriblke shape! Nice to know she can look almost new again!
We used tax $ to get a Puki and another Amber FD so we have twins Ambers now (and Ing- gues how hard it is to not add that second n!!)- just need to find the time to upload the arrival and beaty treatment pics, Bongy got first dibs tho :B

I have an Elfdoll Adel heading my way from a trade! I'm so excited... More little Elfdolls!

 

oh how cool Sheena, congrats! so cool to be able to trade! i have never done it before and now i don't have any doll that i could sell, bu i imagine it's cool, to be able to let one go and get one that you really like!

 

It's really convenient... I offered extra wigs and clothes to make up for the price difference too. I'm thinking her name will be Willow... Mainly because they are my favorite trees.

 

I like willows too. Though Gingkos are my favorite trees (like in Winona on WSU campus etc) but I don't think Gingko would be a very good name for an elf girl. I love Adel! I did a trade for my Lyn...and she's awesome! I finally made her some wings! I'll take and post pics as soon as I can and you can tell me if it's worth it to make those kind of wings for commissions (they're real butterfly wings-the perfect size!). I still need to find a name for my Lyn too.

 

annina- which elfdoll shop were you at that gave you that message? B/c I tried and it looked the same as before...even when I refreshed...does that mean they're done? (b/c I see no new dolls) or am I just not looking at the same site? Hope the second is true...b/c I want new dolls (well... I can't buy one...but I really wanna see what the edition will look like)

 

I went to the Artmaze Elfdoll site and clicked on the English shopping page. A pop-up window will come up and tell you about it. There are no new dolls on the site yet, from what I can tell... I'm so eager to see...

Firefox initially blocked the pop-up for me until I enabled it (I initially missed the blocking). I thought I'd mention it in case you're using Firefox too. If not, ignore me

There was a post on DDE's Yahoo group the other day which mentioned Eldoll with, "Be watching for an announcement about basic tiny dolls. We should be hearing something in the next couple of days". I'm still none the wiser!

like catclawclub says you also get there when you go to artmaze's site and then click on "english" in the upper right corner.

and maybe your browser is blocking the popup as octarine says. i also use firefox and mostly add sites that i visit often to the exception filter (so that no pop ups are blocked from those sites). it depends on what browser and add ons you have to do this. but i think you should with most browsers be able to see that a pop up got blocked on a site and then be able to choose "don't block" somewhere close to the address bar..

for me the pop up still comes up and i guess that they will be open until march 15th, and then they'll be updating the website, maybe the site will be unavailable for a day?!

She's too pricey for me. I'm determined to wait and see what Elfdoll brings out before I buy any more. Well that's the plan, anyway

Just came back from a few days at the coast and expected to see some news....nothing!!! Oh well, I shall have to take a few more patience pills so that I can survive the next few weeks until they announce something.
I also saw the message on the DDE Yahoo group about an announcement within a few days, which also didn't happen, but I was intrigued to read 'basic'....sounds very interesting!

 

Basic? What does that mean? Perhaps they won't be limited?

basic means basic! Yay! I figured they be for sure limited! We'll just have to see what they actually mean. More waiting...but I'd love basic! b/c then I wouldn't have to worry about having the money right then and there while the limiteds are still available...but I could just get them when I do have money! Yay! *crosses fingers*

 

In the past, all of the tinies have been limited. It would really be convenient if they weren't limited this time. Kind of like the flower elves.

 

I would love for them to be available all the time like the Flower Elves, but I think it means that they are basic dolls that are only available for a limited time or in a limited run. I hope I am wrong. I would love for all the Elfdoll tinies to be available always. Great for those on a budget and for those brand new to the hobby.

Ms. Cholong had originally told me the Flower Elves were going to be limited, but have mulitple runs available. Similiar to the pigs. I'm glad the Flowers Elves won't be like that. So, it is possible that the tinies she and DK told me were coming out in March might have changed too.

 

I so hope so gracie because I'm sooooo broke right now as I've committed myself to buying a doll from my friend and am paying in installments....however she has already sent the doll so there is no turning back. I'm hoping that once I've paid this off, which isn't too much to pay thankfully, I'll then be able to save for Min...and by then it'll be closer to my birthday and so I'll probably have some birthday money towards her too!

Fingers and everything crossed that 'basic' means 'basic not limited, and readily available'!!!!

 

I hope they release the mature gals again (but more towards the end of the year as $ is tight right now). I loved the little seedling and the price makes her even more tempting LOL!

 

Wait...the Flower Elves aren't limited? This is good news for me because I'm still saving up and have a way to go before I can really even think about getting a Rosey. Does anyone know if Elfdoll would allow me to request a different eye color on Rosey, like the green shade they show on Belle?

 

Contact Ms. Cholong and ask if you can have them switch the eyes...believe me, if it's at all possible, she'll do it. She's wonderful.

 

I know the feeling. I just went a bought a LE Custom House boy for my Choa which wasn't a planned purchase, but he showed up and the price was right. There went the money for Rosie and one of the new tinies

I asked Rainman on the Flower Elf thread and he said they weren't limited. I am holding him to his word, though, lol. I really want a Rosie for myself and a Tulle for DD. Just can't do it right now. I only pray that the new tinies are what Ms. Cholong said they were going to be. I really don't want to feel like I have to have one.

 

My Adel came on Saturday... I wired her today and glued a wig to her headcap. She's so gorgeous... I'm very pleased. The name 'Willow' really suits her.

 

Willow is a great name! She looks great too!

 

I'm so happy she was able to join my tiny family.

At this point, your best bet in finding earlier versions of the Elfdoll tinys is the secondary market...a private seller, eBay or the DOA Marketplace, when you gain access to that.

Lati is opening for orders on March 20th and I was hoping that I'd know what Elfdoll was doing so I could decide whether or not to get a Lati.

Gah, now I don't know what to do. I'll be (as Carrie says) gutted if I skip the Lati order and then don't like what Elfdoll releases...

What I would really like is to do a search on YahooJP but all I get is the little animals. I can usually navigate okay using Google language tools but it's no go this time.

Oh Gracie, I can sure empathize with that, sometimes money just burns a whole in your pocket urging you to spend it. Though it sounds as if you got a another doll you really wanted, and a good price always makes the purchase even sweeter! Congrats!

Unfortunately, my dolly funds lately have had to go towards various household bills that keep turning up. But once I close out my current bunch of Cookie Lee Jewelry shows, I hope I'll be able to take some of those profits and use them for fun stuff. My plan is actually to get Rosey in Leaf skin, and a Seedling, but if they're truely not limited, then it takes lots of pressure off.

hmmm...I'm not really fond of the sylphs...their eyes bug me. I think the new ones are worth waiting for...personally.

 

I'm just going to wait. I love Sylph...she looks kind of like a little glow worm or something to me.

 

i've always liked the early sylph, she is really cute, but at the moment i can't get any dolls. not even when the new ones are released i think.

Yes, I have two up for sale. I do have the money in my Paypal, but I'm going to transfer it to my bank account to discourage myself from splurging! I want to use my money for my trip this weekend. I'm so excited about going to San Francisco...the ocean is always amazing to see.
