Echo Town 1/4 Discussion

I kind of want to order myself a Delores or Aya through Taobao, but have never used it before and am a bit intimidated! Have been recommended Superbuy as an agent, but am having trouble with the translation of the Echo Town order page. The various options are coming up as follows:

Color Classification: I know the full paragraph light muscle 2380 yuan/I know the full muscle powder 2280 yuan
Size Description: Deposit/The last paragraph/Flat feet
Color: pink/light tan

Can anyone help?

 

I just ordered through Taobao, too. When you place an order, you have to choose skin color, I know the full paragraph (skin color choice), and deposit. The artist offers a layaway for all customers. You pay a deposit at 800 CNY for confirm the order and pay the final payment when the doll is ready to ship at 1480 or 1580 CNY based on your skin color choice + shipping fee in China. Flat feet is an optional order. The full doll comes with high heel feet only. The doll production time is 3 months or 4 months with face-up order approximately. The artist will stop selling all dolls before Chinese Spring Festival. Please order your doll before this time. Hope it helps.

Another way to order your doll, you can send an email to the artist to order your doll but I think the price is a little bit more than Taobao price. You can check her Instagram for further information. I think she answers some posts about it as well.

Does anyone know where to buy casual clothes for Echo town doll? I really want to buy sweater and jeans but the normal 1/4 size is too big for some parts of the body especially pants and jeans.

 

@fancat maybe you can look Dollzone MSD clothes? The new DZ body is very similar in proportion to the Echo town, at least from what I read in the measurements.

I am waiting for the new body any day now. I split the doll with someone that wanted just the head and will try to hybrid it with a Minifee head. I hope it works

Just a heads-up, from what I heard, the artist is going to take a time off soon for a vague amount of time, so if anyone is thinking about ordering a doll, now is the time

 

@Wabbie-chan Thank you for the information! I just asked the artist and she suggested the same thing as you did. Too bad, I heard the news that Dollzone stops selling clothes individually now. If I want the clothes, I have to order a full set only. I might need to try a regular MSD size now. LOL

The artist doesn't sure when all dolls will be available to purchase again. Because she wants to spend her time making clothes and shoes for Echo doll size. Based on my conversation with her, I guess she plans to release new clothes and shoes this year. So that's a reason why she decides to stop selling dolls and focus on her clothes and shoe projects.

 

@fancat Well, it is good to know she will be making clothes for these amazing dolls, I am looking forward to this.

Regarding DZ stopping selling clothes though, it was a false alarm. They will continue selling clothes, just stop the wigs and shoes

 

Thanks very much! I will have to give Taobao a go - just trying to justify buying Delores (or Aya perhaps) to myself, seeing as I've only just received my first BJDs and should really be prioritising those and buying other dolls that fit my established characters better. But at the same time I will probably kick myself if I miss the chance to get an Echo Town... argh .

@Vanytie I hope you can buy her in time. It took me a few days to decide which one I will buy between Delores and Aya, too.

 

I've only just recently discovered Echo Town but I'm thinking about getting one of these dolls before the artist takes a break. I'm still not sure which sculpt though; I'm having trouble deciding between Dolores, Ygritte and Pepper
Also not sure where I'm going to order from either, I'll probably end up just going through SPO.

 

I ordered trough SPO. The deccision was difficult - I'd like to have them all! Unfortunately, you can't order a head separately.

 

My Aya arrived yesterday! She's gorgeous! Now we're waiting for her sister - Delores!

 

Congratulations! I just got my Ygritte today and waiting for Delores, too. The body posing abilities is rock!!! I was astonished how good it was. Would you mind if I ask you to share the close-up pictures of Aya's face? I'm tempted to buy Aya and Pepper now. LOL

How long have you waited for her? I have ordered my Ygritte recently and have to wait now.

 

@nufa I didn't have to wait for Ygritte. She was in stock while I purchased her through Stacy's Pink Ocean. I waited only one week for the delivery. Delores is the first doll that I purchased back in January. I ordered her with face-up. So I have to wait around 4 months.

Thank you so much! I want to have them all, too. Aya is on my first list now. I want to buy these dolls in the light tan skin but it is so hard to find the sample pictures of them. The artist still doesn't know when she will sell these dolls again. I think I might need to buy them all now. I wish I could do that. LOL May I ask that Aya has teeth in her mouth?

 

@fancat She hasn't teeth, but you can make a modification. It should be easy.
I don't like dolls with teeth, so I'm happy.

 

@frigida Yes! I'm so happy she doesn't have teeth in her mouth. I prefer a doll without teeth, too. I saw the promotion pictures and see her teeth. So I decided to buy other dolls instead. Aya is my next doll now. Thank you so much!

Does anyone have any shoe suggestions, like what fits heeled or flat feet? I haven't really seen a lot of pics with shoes on her.

 

I think that shoes for MiniFee should fit. I recommend the shop on Etsy: Summomo by summomo82
I've two pairs and they fit for flat feet.

 

I just ordered my first Echo Town light tan Delores! It was a difficult decision between Ygritte and Delores but Delores won out with her more serious face. I wish could have them all though.
I'd never heard of this brand until a week ago when someone on BJD Addicts posted about her purchase of a pink skin Delores and I fell in love with them. She'll be the perfect fit for my wizard character Vailaden.

Does anyone know the wait time for Echo Town? I ordered through SPO.

I've never had so many dolls on order before. I've a Depths Doll Deilf mermaid, Luts Tiny Delf Tyltyl Satyr, Echo Town Delores, and a Dream Valley Ding. I think I'm done for the year.

 

I saw that post too! Yesterday I ordered a blank normal pink resin Ygritte with flat feet. She's going to be my interpretation of Daenerys Stormborn from ASOIAF.

Now it's time to plan out accessories for the dear girl while I wait. I saw Echo Town wears a 5-6 wig, but does anyone know if a 4-5 Monique wig would fit? The wigs have a bit of give to them.

 

Waiting time is about 4 months. But my Aya arrived in 4 weeks. I'm waiting for Delores now.

 

So I just ordered Pepper in normal skin with a faceup! I'm so excited! Anyone have tips on where to get clothes that will fit her nicely? I feel like all my MSD clothes are going to be too big for her!

 

Congratulations! I can't wait to see her. About the clothes, you can buy MSD clothes from Dollzone. DZ b45-012 body has similar body details as Echo town doll and the artist recommends to buy clothes from DZ, too. If you can wait for a little longer, the artist has some plans to release clothes and shoes for Echo town doll. I'm not sure when the artist's gonna sell them. I guess maybe in the middle of this year. We might see some updates from her.

Actually, the artist just sells clothes from promotional pictures of Aya and Pepper in the last two weeks in her Taobao shop. I bought these clothes before they're sold out, too. I think if you have an agency to buy things from Taobao. Please keep an eye on her Taobao shop. Maybe she'll put some of her clothes on sale later. Hope it helps!

I ordered from Stacy’s pink Ocean. Looks like the artist is starting a new job and won’t be making dolls for a while but SPO’s website says when this last order comes in she may have a few in stock. Just a heads up if you really want one, I would check there.

 

Does anyone who ordered from SPO know if she sends confirmation emails? I just thought I’d ask before I email her directly. The website still says my order status is payment confirmed and hasn’t been updated from that. Thanks in advance!

I asked about my order status, which I ordered late January, and she said that mine not ready yet since November order is quite big. So those who ordered in November, expect to get yours soon

 

I ordered mine on the 1st of January and since last tuesday my status is "shipped out" and the information on the EMS website is "despatch from sorting center Shanghai". No news since the 20th of March, even in my country ! Let's wait

I hope so, the other dolls are on their way. In my case I have ordered Ygritte on the 30th of January at StacysPinkOcean, she was sent out on the 25th of April and I have received her on the 3rd of May - it makes appr. 3 months and something. ^^

I ordered my Delores through Stacy’s too but on 12th of February. She’s in tan skin so I think she might take longer. This is very exciting though! And yes please, spam us with pictures!

I do find her very well designed, the joints are pleasant to work with, she poses very nice. She is strongly strung. The only thing for me I don't like are her hands, I definitely miss naturality on them, she holds the fingers somehow strange for me, the fingers are also a little bit too small/thin, for my taste.
The box in which the doll came, is something really beautiful concepted, I like the kind of the box with magnets and the red inside is also nice. But unfortunately the whole inner box went broken at once as I have opened it, on each side which was glued. I think the glue was of poor quality or something like that. I had only broken parts from the box, that was a box with a very short life.

I have ordered a reddish wig, the same as in her promo photos on Stacy's web-site, but this blond wig was delivered and it is such a beautiful color, very delicate and suits her superb, so I am happy with it. ^^

The Volks dress is a little bit loose on her waist, she has a smaller waist, but besides that it is a surprisingly very good fit. ^^

I found the flat feet by Dollshe Fashion female dolls has a very close look and measurements, the difference is only 1 mm on the both sides.
Dollshe Fashion female flat feet: 2 cm width, 5,6 cm length.
Echo Town flat feet: 1,9 cm width, 5,5 cm length.

But the heel feet is quite different, as it has another angle and measurements are different.

That is good to hear. I just discovered this thread/dolls yesterday and was disappointed to see they weren't being made anymore.

 

Me too. They have such beautiful bodies like porcelain dolls!

 

I love her dolls so much! The only thing that really bothers me is that the eyes seem too far apart, or is that just me?? And like what @nufa said, the fingers look sorta weird and easily breakable. I’d be afraid to handle her

 

I just found out she's opened her preorder again. You have to email her and then order through there.

 

@ashvianey: The eyes sitting far apart is definitely a part of the look. Some doll artists like such aesthetics (Popovy Sisters, for example) and it is surely a wanted feature. ^^
The hands are surely not easy breakable if you use the hands correctly. I mean, you don't need to touch and handle the fingers, if you can handle the wrist joint itself. What I have meant is the form of the hands I don't really like and the size. But I am a fan of Dollshe Fashion hands and they are on the bigger side, so I think it is a question of personal preferences. ^^

 

Is anyone finding high heel shoes for Echo town girls? I just bought them through Taobao. This shop is selling high heel shoes in Echo town size. I guess I like Ygritte. I just adopted one here on the MP. Lucky me, it's a white skin Echo Town on the old body. I'm psyched because I'm really into white. Now I just need to find out what fits. I also have an Iple Creaa on the way so I guess they'll be friends...

So I just did a giant box opening and in the titles I called Ygritte, Dolores again! Freudian slip! I had to revise the titles. Box opening is here:
