Okay, I got a picture of my early 2010 Si head on a late 2010 Kid Delf body. It fits perfectly ^^



Poor thing, looks like he's being strangled DX I left him attached by wire instead of putting the S hook in since he was going right back on his normal body (the glove is to keep it from cutting me. I learned that the hard way XD).

Hello guys, I have a question please regarding DOC bodies.

What is the height difference between a "New body" and a "Normal Boy Body"?
If someone has a picture please share them... thanks~ ^___^

 

Marie Angelcakes, I think the new body has an extra joint/part in the thigh and the elbows/arms are double-jointed according to what I saw on the website(: Anyone feel free to correct me if this is wrong!

Hi everyone; I have a question regarding this as well. I don't have any DoDs, but I'm just wondering about their poseability... hope you don't mind me XD can dolls with the old body touch their faces/sit with one leg crossed over the other?

@Marie Angelcakes, so sorry your question was overlooked all this time! I think, unless you suede them, the extra joints on the new body don't add any height. My boy has hot glue sueding that is making the extra joint sit funny so he's a tad taller than he otherwise would be. But normally, I think they measure up the same (I can't be sure though, I only have the new body).

 

Sanguine: I have a Normal Boyody, and I think based on my experience they cannot... Though my girl with a New Body can, but she needs restringing at the moment...:3

BabySnow: Oh thank you so much! ^____^ So I guess, a boy DOC's height is always 45cm? or 43cm?
My girl has a New Body, and she stands for about 41cm? is this also the same with the girl DOC bodies?

Hi everyone, I just got a DOC Too secondhand recently in two parts, a head and the body. I just want to make sure that I have the right idea for putting the head on. Do you pull the elastic through the head and attach the s hook?

Hey guys. Please help me out with something that I just can't find! I really need the waist measurement for the DOC girl's OLD body. It's not on the DOD website or anywhere. I am sewing for a swap and I don't have a DOC myself. Thanks so much for your help!

^^; I might be able to help, Akogi is on a yet-to-be-modified old girl body. Just let me know what you need measured and in what measure (cm/inch). Unless someone else has the measurements ready.

Oh, I'm sorry if I wasn't specific enough! Yes, around the belly button, or the thinnest part of the torso!

 

That's ok. I wan to make sure I can help you the best I can. I moves the measuring tape up a little more and got 15.2cm. So the 15.4cm was just on the belly button, the 15.2 is a cm or two above that, almost at the joint. :3

I was wondering if anyone had a full compliment of measurements for the DoC "older" girl and boy bodies? I thought that there may have been a listing on this thread but could only find the measurements that I already have and on the DoC site, they're missing some important ones on the girl body.

Is there a sticky or thread on DoA where I can find the measurements for DoC dolls?

Hello everyone-
When I got my DOC Leya I found that her head would not come off because the s-hook inside was too big. I've met a few other Leya owners who have the same problem. I was wondering-- is this a problem when buying any DOC, or just Leya?

 

@megpie252, if you mean, are you supposed to be able to twist the S-hook and easily pop the head off, DoCs don't do that (at least mine doesn't). You have to stick a knitting needle or something between their head and neck and remove the S-hook completely in order to remove the head. To reattach, use a shoelace or some string to pull the elastic back through the neck hole and reinsert the S-hook.

Hey, quick question for DoC parents, I'm wanting to put these jointed hands I got recently on my boy. Problem is his old hands are tied on with that red string stuff. Is there a way to remove the hands without cutting it, or would t be better to just get s-hooks for if I want to put the old hands back on again? The new ones came with s-hooks and the fit very well in the arm part, it's just the red string I'm unsure of.

 

Yes, it's definitely possible to remove the hands without cutting it, but eventually undoing and redoing the knots got so tiresome that I switched my Wi's hands to small s-hooks. Much, much simpler that way!

 

I did that, the seller of the hands included s-hooks, so I used those. I'm liking the hands. :3

Hello, a brand new DOC owner reporting to thread! I bought a Kirill today, and he is quite a project. He is so very floppy, dirty, with chipped faceup and heavy uneven yellowing, and still he looked me in the eye and said "I'm coming with you". I'm already soaking his body on a soapwater to get the grease off, and then I think I'll try to sand the body to help easing the color difference. Factory faceup unfortunately had to go, but I'll try my best to make him a new, more suitable one. I'll introduce him properly when he has gone through all the hard love.

 

I can't wait to see him ^^ DoCs are definitely worth the work of restoring. My Si didn't need any work when I got him, but he was also pre-loved, and when he arrived it was like he was saying "I'm home and I'm all yours" Come to think of it next month is my 1-year anniversary with him... or would it be birthday? I should spam some pictures of him then ^^

 

Say 'yo' to Yochie! I got him on Monday. My friend and I did his faceup on Thursday. I made the wig myself, but it doesn't match or fit him. I gotta get him a ginger wig. > w<

 

thought I'd mention that my DOC Petsha's head can easily be removed, just twist and its off, shes really new though I got her at christmas

Heeeeey, everyone! So, as usual, my Kirill is giving me some issues. My oldest doll and after all these years I STILL don't have a look for him. It's rather frustrating So after 6 months now it's clear he is just not a slick combed brunette. Or a fur-wig kinda guy. Nor does he suit curly, gray hair. Or shaggy black. Argh. Makes me sad because he used to be one of my most developed characters, and now...

So! Once again he is getting a completely new make-over. I'm putting him away completely blank and naked and bald while I start from the bottom up, new shoes, full outfit, new wig, new eyes...my main problem is I'm always trying to piece him together and it never works. But now. He's getting the whole package (except maybe a face-up but that's nothing new among my crew). Wish me luck!

I'm quite excited as I just purchased him a fullset outfit from DoP and some cute shoes from ebay to go with it I found an adorable wig on the marketplace I'll be purchasing soon-now just to find some eyes! I know it's a lot to splash on him at once but as he's my oldest doll I feel he deserves to finally look complete instead of just tossed together in a sorry attempt to make him look decent. Crossing my fingers everything arrives soon and his look will at last pull together. If I'm feeling brave I may share pics

His new outfit still isn't here yet but received an email from DoP last night saying it would be another week so I'm trying to be patient as I wait Still contemplating sending him out for a face-up, I know I want him to have one, just not sure by who!

I just recently did a box opening, there's lots of unclothed photos there xD. They don't have a resin tone option that I know of, but I would say the resin is fairly pink. I don't have a DZ to compare it with though.

Hmm.. I think DoC's skin is more pinkish, compared to DZ's which is a creamier tone. More like a beige colour.

Hey everyone! I am about to bombard you with questions, get ready.... xDD
I'm trying to decide if a DoC will be right for the character I want to portray, so here begins my investigation....

1. Anyone have owner pics of Mint?
2. Compatibility of DoC resin with Fairyland resin? Or with any other slim MSD bodies I suppose.
3. DoC girl's new body would be closest to which MNF body? (small or large bust?)
4. Anyone ever tried 12mm eyes in their DoC?
5. Wigs from Luts (7-8) - do they fit?
6. Waist measurement of DoC new girl?
7. Experiences with DoD custom faceups? Do they get it right? Will a ref pic of a character be enough?

I think that's everything.... xD I'm so sorry, I always seem to introduce myself to people with a gazillion questions. Guess that's what doll shopping is doing to me. - w -

 

I can't help a lot, but here's some:
2. DoD resin is very pink. Not sure about other slim MSD but I think fairyland is not a good match. I wish I had a comparison picture for you but the pictures from that meet came out dark :<
4. I have no eyes that size to try but I'd guess they don't fit

12mm probably won't fit in the eye wells, but I'm curious to see if anyone's tried. xD
