I just got word that my Howard II shipped! I ordered him back in June and am so excited! He'll be the first doll I receive in 4 years. Now time to keep waiting for my Bethel I ordered last month!

Oh, wow! Faster turnaround times these days. I haven't ordered a doll from the manufacturer since 2016, I think? Before that, I think the prior order I placed was 2010...I'm used to it taking practically a year for a doll to be cast, assembled, and shipped out. That is awesome that your doll will be here soon! Dang. I thought I'd have plenty of time to pay off my 8 month layaway before my Aurora even shipped, since I ordered late July/early Aug. Guess she may be ready before I am at this point.

 

And the shipping is even faster! I received my doll yesterday, which means I got him 2 days after receiving the shipping notification.

Well, hello, room. I'm back!
My biggest and only complaint about my DV Mermaid Abyss was that they didn't make a human body for her - and I love the sculpting of her torso. Sent an email to DV begging them to make a human body, and then the B4-19 body appeared!
Of course I had to have it.
And I snagged the Freya mantis outfit for my Rita manti-taur (I love black).
FYI - if you like the "demonized hands" on the limited Aria-Siesta doll, ACBJD and BJDivas sell them separately.

 

My Satyr just arrived today!
I wasn't sure if he would feel too fragile, but he's more solid then I expected and really fun to play with!
The grey resin is a very slate grey and less blue grey then shown on the site though, which surprised me.

Might be weird but I'm gonna model the babydoll off my own baby boy. I know how quickly the baby year passes so I want a little memory from this time that isn't 2D

Maybe by the time my doll arrives, my son will take long enough naps to let me work on his mini lol

 

My Aurora arrived yesterday, totally unexpected! What a surprise! She is gorgous!!
What a beautiful sculpt and those wings!?! Dont get me started on her wings!

I ordered her unblushed and can't wait to bring her to life. Has to wait though because I am about to move and I packed all my paints already. So I gotta have patience...

Ordered a human Achelous head with faceup. Hope the wait times aren't too long since it's a direct order from their Taobao store.

I am waiting for a B14-19 body along with the skeleton hand from his waist ☺️ as soon as I saw it I knew I needed it for the project I have in mind. I hope it won't take too long to arrive

 

This is exciting! I also want a human Achelous but can't quite go for it now. So I'd love to see photos when you receive him.

Did you order from the TB store through a proxy? May I ask, where is the option to request a faceup? I don't see it as a selection option in the TB listing so is this something you have to request directly?

Sorry for the many questions, I also want to order direct from TB but I'm not super experienced with it. I appreciate the help.

 

Haha, it's fine. I ordered directly from the TB store for Achelous and the rest. There is another listing for face-up/blushing for Achelous that has the options available, it‘s the 妆面加购 listing with Achelous's name in it along with several other dolls. Make sure to select Achelous and not the mantis ladies or for option parts. You have to order it together with the corresponding part you want.
It's difficult to order from TB if you don't have a Chinese phone number and not all stores have the option to ship internationally. I can't confirm if the DV TB store does because I'm currently in the country, so I think maybe you should chat with the store if you are having issues, although I'm not sure if customer service speaks English. They are very helpful though, so it wouldn't hurt to ask.

 

@dayspring10 Thank you very much for that detailed explanation. I have to buy from TB through a proxy but I've found the listing you mentioned. (I got my mobile number frozen out even before I could make a TB account, so buying direct isn't possible now...)

 

Also placed an order for a human Achelous head on a B4-17 body. Planning on dyeing him a custom tan.

Edit: Just asked Alice’s Collections if they could switch my order to a B4-15 body instead, and they obliged! The 17 body was too short for my character, especially compared to my other character who is shelled by a DV Rah on a B4-15 body.

 

I am so excited to see that these have started to ship. I honestly expected to wait a lot longer. Hopefully mine comes soon! I ordered an Aurora/Dawn set. Blank, but I can't wait to paint them! I can't wait to see pics!!

 

I put the new merboy on a layaway, I'll add my self to the list a little later when I have more focus to do so.

 

I'm joining this waiting room... also for a human Achelous and faceup, plus a B4-04 body. The recommended B4-17 body is 47cm which is too short for my liking, so I'm gonna try him on the taller 51cm B4-04. The measurements seem to be mostly similar! The biggest difference is the shoulder width -- B4-17 has surprisingly wider shoulders than B4-04, by 1cm -- but I don't mind a bit of bigheadedness so I think it should be fine.

I was thinking of getting Alter - who is 71cm and not limited - at the same time from TB, but my gut feeling (which I trust a lot) is telling me to hold off. My current crew is all 1/3 and under 65cm, and I don't think I'm ready to go taller. Plus I have Achelous and another incoming doll to work on already, having a third one come in already feels like too many dolls at once. (I get overwhelmed easily by too much new resin, haha.) So I'll just wait for a DV discount event and see if I still want Alter.

 

Oh, Dream Valley, you have my heart - and my paycheck. The SD Cecillia elf full set in stock at Denver Doll called and called to me, and FOMO was too great to resist.
I set up a layaway that I'll probably pay off early. I can't wait to see the doll in person. Those wings are amazing.

Ive put a Sylves in white on layaway! (togeter with another doll on alices collection)
Im very exited for this doll! I wanted him last time (wich by the looks of it was a year ago?) but didnt have the funds at all back then.
He will be my DND character called Gwilym. A half tiefling dragonborn and mutlticlasing rouge and bard!
He will need to be dyed dark grey, however im thinking of commissioning somebody to do that so a gradient could posibly be added. Ill also have to look for somebody who could do clothes commissions as in game he has a very specific kind of coat he wears and i think it b awsome to have that as a doll

 

Dragon vers., I assume? I think yours sounds like he’ll turn out awesome! I got my dragon boy in grey and he’s a god in my novels. I have a different dnd character that’s shelled as a dv doll though! They make awesome fantasy sculpts!

I ordered Neil, the dog, in light resin and I'm getting very antsy for him. I was told it would be 5 to six month wait and at the end of January it will have been five months. I'm worried that it might be even longer than 6 months because of Covid! Hope not! I ordered mine with no face-to-face up, so I may be one of the first to get a Neil!

 

I ordered achelous (human version) as my first bjd!!! i cant wait to get him in my hands hehe, he looks so cute and smug ... I saw many other people ordered him too, and honestly it makes me even more excited, i cant wait to see what everyone does with him!

I also ordered some hand/feet changers......they were not very expensive but anyone know if they are useful? I get they feeling I'll use them more for protecting fingers when changing clothes.

DV strings their dolls painfully tightly; plus, I'm always on the lookout for any tool that makes working with BJDs easier.

They remind me of the stubs from other companies that they use to change clothes easier. I have a few outfits with tight cuffs so should come in handy.

 

I caved and ordered a full set Flo today from Clover Singing as they were cheaper than Alice's.

 

I also caved in last minute and ordered a fullset Flo today. Went through denver doll, bit bummed it's a wait time of 5 or so months

I put an order on Sylves (dragon) a while ago from Legenddoll.net. I got one of the last ones, to the point that I can't even get his Final Fantasy-esque getup because it was sold out. RIP. He's grey and I planning on making him look like a Dracula. I want to faceup like the company faceup except the hue is more red than teal, and I want to get him dark sclera'd eyes.

 

I have him in grey as well! I don’t see many photos of him around so I’d love to see yours when you get him finished!

 

I honestly kinda swung between light tan, white, and grey. Then I realize my fantasy undead idea that I can just capitalize on that. Haha.

 

Just wanted to post my Paker showed up after a brief hold in the snow, making it almost six months to the day for his arrival. Their stringing sure does not do those legs any favors

 

I ordered bunny girl Olivia in grey resin from AC as a gift for my wife, she just couldn’t resist and I owed er a Christmas and birthday gift… by the time she arrived she’ll be an anniversary gift as well

I just ordered my Olivia Rabbit full set in pink and I cannot wait!!! She will be my first doll of that size

 

I should hop in (ba dum tsssh) I suppose; I ordered an Olivia Rabbit in white. (Coincidentally, I am giving up any "rules" around what dolls I collect except for having room for them.) I'm planning to dye her/commission some dye work once I can decide on a coat pattern! Bunny coloration has to be the cutest research I've done in a while.

 

I never really had "rules" for my collection, other than - do I like it? If yes - press buy now, lol.

Hi all! I have Tea and Gru on the way.

 

Forgot to post here: he arrived last Thursday! (6 months and two weeks after I ordered him.) He's the sweetest little creature and beautifully painted, although the body blush is too pink for my taste.

 

Ah... I'm still waiting on my new 1/4 scale body. Eagerly, I might add.

 

Reaching my 6th month for the Aria Siesta fullset. Gosh, I want the claws already!

 

I believe DV releases finished dolls in batches. I watch Denver Doll's in-stock selection to see which batch DV has released lately. DV Rita mantitaur was a complicated doll, and that Aurora doll had to be at least twice as complex.

So I am excited, but I'm willing to wait longer than I would for a simpler doll. I can only imagine how difficult it is making their lovely monsters.

Edited to add: I can't decide which head I want to give to the new body - Abyss the mermaid, or Rita? Maybe I will blush Rita so both can share...

 

I'd love to see both on the new body! Are those your spare heads? Because why else would you use a human body, if you had both the mermaid and mantis bodies

My 2nd payments on Tea and Gru are made. I am now hunting clothes for Gru but 1/6 boy stuff is so hard to find.

 

Ordered a full set Phoenix in white! Fell in love with the Avian legs I'm so excited for when they arrive haha!

 

Looks like the wait is gonna be long for DV I asked DDE about my little Ding order and the eta is June/July. I ordered him in December so 6-7 months wait. They must be getting more orders, which is great for them! Plus I bet it takes a while to create and string their more intricate sculpts. Def looking forward to that little Ding though!

 

Oh, yeah. They used to take around 4-5 months for a full set doll. Then they released Aurora, the Griffen doll, which must have been horrendously complicated, because it's pushed production way back. I'm on month 5 for the blank new 46 cm body, and I'm expecting another month or two wait - maybe more.
I knew when I saw the promo photos of Aurora that she was going to be a nightmare to cast, paint, and assemble.

 

I'm at 6.5 months waiting for a blank Apocalypse Horseman, according to the dealer DV has been sending out the September orders, so I suspect next month October orders are gonna be shipped. At least I hope so, my poor Soom Heliot head needs his new body! (His original one got stolen by his lover)

 

Same, I waiting for Apocalypse too, but in fullset.. + at Nov. I ordered Paris with makeup...still waiting..

 

Just dropping in here (for the first time) because I’ve just ordered a DV Bor Dragon from acbjd. Has anyone else got Bor or Eve as I haven’t seen them mentioned anywhere?

 

@IzabethS and @Riku LIN - I looked at DV's IG account, and I believe Apocalypse is the next doll in line for production, so you shouldn't be waiting much longer. Fingers crossed!

@EmanonUK - aww. I wanted a little Eve as soon as I saw the promo pictures of someone cradling her in their hands. I don't have one (yet *cough*), but I've seen several on IG.

Yes, that’s the photo that hooked me. I’ve ordered Bor but I also want Eve. Trouble is my wallet is empty at the moment so just have to hope there are still some dragons around next paycheque.
