Dream Valley Waiting Room

Varies honesty, I have had as short as 4 months as long as a year on Dream Valley dolls. Average for me personally is around 6 some odd months.

 

Sorry for the double post but my Scar shipped yesterday.

 

Just got a shipping notice from Alice for the fullset Moon I ordered early last November! So that's almost 6 months for me. He's being shipped via SF Express and estimated to arrive on Tue, 3 May because Mon is a public holiday over here. Anyway, yay, he/she (I haven't decided yet) made it out before the Labour Day holidays in China!

 

I couldn't decide between colors for a fullset tentacle Satyr so I got one in white and one in white/purple. And, for head and arm hybrid purposes, also got white skin Hyaline and Seren. So I set out to put one doll on layaway and instead have four in the order.

I have fantastic impulse control.

Meanwhile my UPS tracking has not updated in days, I will surly go mad waiting for my cat-boy to come home.
I also have a Moon that hopefully will come in someday soon. Cats man, what can you do?

 

My Glen fullset just arrived today! He shipped April 13th and I ordered mid July so about 9.5 months wait in total to get him. I ordered him with a Bless head with faceup and that shipped separately. The head got to me back in January if I recall correctly.

 

So excited to see that shipping notices are going out. None on my end but it gives me hope! Can’t wait to see all the box opening photos!

 

My fullset Moon is here! She arrived yesterday (3 May as predicted), but I didn't have time to unbox her then.

I love the gold flecks on her wings and tail so much, unfortunately they don't really show up on my phone camera. She's such a cutie~!

She's sadly rather difficult to pose (compared to my Bor) and her front paws are a little kicky. Took me a while to kind of get her to stand on her hind legs with the help of her tail in the first pic. She can't really stand on all four legs as her front legs are shorter than the back ones plus they don't want to stay straight. Maybe I'll get better at posing her as time goes by. Her random default eyes are too dark for me. Need to get her new eyes.

Wow she is so beautiful! DDE has some blank moons on their site but I’m completely broke so I’ve just been staring at them. XD I really love the colours they chose for them.
They had promotional photos of them standing on all fours, maybe there’s a trick to it? If her s-hooks are as small as bor’s then it might be hard to restring her. I’ve taken my Bor’s wings off to blush them and have decided the rest of him can stay together. Lol.

 

@namika Stop the cute I'm going to die! I kid, big gratz on your moon she is too cute. (And make me wish my own moon will ship sooner then later.)

Meanwhile my Scar's UPS tracking has still yet to change, and I live in the same state as the dealer too. I fully think my cat is just going to be plan trouble based on this.

 

Sorry again for a double post, my Scar's tracking updated today. It updated to out for delivery and showed up at six something today. My only disappointment in his full set is his face up is lacking his scar. So I have a scarless Scar, but he is otherwise purfect.

 

After many, many years, i finally managed to find the perfect doll for me! i've wanted to get a doll with grey skin for a while but most of them are event dolls and I am not good at keeping up with those releases. My other option was iplehouse, but they are a bit pricy. I decided to get her blank so I could commission her the perfect face up. Alice Collection has let me know that my Lami order is in. I have one last payment on the 15th and then she’ll be shipped out to me. I was going to pay her off early but some things have come up so I must wait til payday. I ordered her in November. I’m so excited to see her in person.

Edit: May 17th, I have received my tracking number from Alice Collection for my full set Lami with Pany head. Now the wait for it to get here to the UK. Still no update for my Gloria fullset. -.-

 

Hi everyone! I'm a noob here at the forums and I just ordered last week my first ever bjd a Dream Valley Ann doll

I decided to order the full face up even though I wish I could have gotten her without the green marks. But I'm just going to roll with it and then attempt to paint her ears and tail into more browns, dull pinks, and oranges.

Just trying to find clothes that aren't too young is going to be the fun part

 

@Faydflowright Welcome to the waiting room! Ann is such a cute sculpt! I was tempted myself when I found DV but could never think of a good character for her so I placed her in my maybe pile and went with a different sculpt. I hope your wait isn’t too long. Dream Valley seems to be all over the place but 5-7 months seems to be the norm. Did you order her through a dealer?

Also update on my order, my Lami tracking hasn’t moved since the 19th. -.- I received the head I ordered from Newcloversinging that shipped at the same time and I’m hoping that the tracking will start moving again soon. I’m so excited for her to come! She’s such a cutie! Gloria is still with DV from what the dealer told me. They assured me she is in the packing state but she still can’t give me any dates on when I can expect her. -shrugs-

 

Just ordered the Dean I head (the one with the horns) on the B4-04 body in WS through clover singing! I was surprised because I've heard a lot of people being denied this combination do to the difference in neck size, I actually was too through acbjd. However Christina told me that Dream Valley was okay with it! Maybe they've gotten tired of denying this request so many times that they eventually gave it haha

 

Just received a shipping notice from Alice's Collections about my human Rah, ordered December 24! He's got a whole bunch of clothes coming with him, too, that I'm hoping will fit!

Hopefully this means owner pictures of the Eagle Rah should start popping up soon... I'm still a little tempted by him lol.

 

I woke up this morning to a shipping notice for my DV order I placed through Alice's Collections on January 28, that feels pretty quick. I ordered two bodies (B-12 and B6-14, so the boy body with the demon backarm and the kitty body) plus two pairs of the 1/6 demon heels. Now I really hope the (off topic for this thread) head for the B6-14 body will get her soon, it got returned to sender due to incomplete address=_=.

I ordered a B4-04 body in the beginning of February and Sherra (owl version) now. Can't wait to get them Fellow Sherra future owners - please share when your owls start to arrive

 

@PhDolls I ordered a Sherra owl (but with the human version face) too! XD So hyped for this doll, because she's so cute, and Dream Valley make very pretty wings.

I feel kinda bad for not sticking to my wishlist... but Sherra was too good to miss. ^^;

 

I also got her with human face It looks a bit more versatile to me, I think?

 

I got my Lami with Pany head today! -squeals- She is so cute! Her eyes and clothes were difficult to put on. The putty didn’t want to stick to the glass eyes and the buttons on her clothes were so small. The fluffy warmers on her legs have beads and loops to stay on…..I think that was the hardest part. XD But she’s safe and sound in my display cabinet with a couple of my other dolls. I will post her box opening tomorrow when I get a chance to get some more photos. I haven’t seen many photos of her yet so might have to try posing her.

 

Yesss! Definitely! I was so happy when I e-mailed to ask whether they could do it, and they agreed. I was worried it was a cheeky ask XD but so happy they don't mind swapping out the faces. I know DV probably won't see this, but just wanna send so much appreciation their way!

(I got Moon a while ago, and bet it'll make a good pet for Sherra haha)

 

I did exactly the same when Sherra was released I guess they received several requests like that and added this option in the request form! Because basically the open-mouth sculpt was the only thing stopping me from getting her at first.

 

Ordered a Dean (human version) in light tan the other day!! I really love the shape of his ears and how slender the body is~ He's totally perfect for a character of mine, and he'll be the first blank doll I've gotten, so I'm really excited for him!

So I was super happy the other day thinking that my doll was shipped since I got an email from the company I bought it from, but it was just clothes I ordered instead XD

I'm back!
I bought a B6-13 body to go with my Baichuan Lan head. I am hoping the color match will be close! Doing a short layaway, but it will be paid off long before the body is ready, I imagine.

 

Joined the owl Sherra train=-- in light tan!! I'm super excited (and a bit nervous LOL) to see her in the tan resin color!!

 

My Rah got here today, it was a surprise because I thought the Alice's Collection shipping notice was for a Doll Leaves doll I had ordered. I wasn't expecting him here so soon! I've since reshelled the character because I realized the height wouldn't work but I have a few ideas in mind for him anyway, so I'm looking forward to getting him all done up!

I was told this morning that my Gloria is on her way to the dealer and we’re expecting her sometime hopefully next week. My sweet angel is finally coming home.

 

Just got a notification from Alice Collection that a b4-04 body I ordered to create a hybrid with a DIM head has just been shipped I ordered in the beginning of February and was expecting it to ship late summer, so that's super soon! I'm excited

 

Whoops, looks like I forgot to claim a chair in the waiting room again.

I had ordered my tiny Beth through Alice C. on February 3d, and got a notice on June 12th that she had shipped, and got her today on June 17th

I had also ordered some eyes in very, very pale pastels (pink, blue, and white) to see which shade I liked better, though I'll have to wait till I'm not working to try them. She's so little and delicate looking! I love her!

Edit - the more I think about it, the more sure I am that her box was opened at some point, custums most likely. The labels on the outer box were cut at the flap lines and there's a lot of tape layers. Nothing is missing or broken, though I'll be checking her over again later for any dirt marks, but she WAS missing the soft foam wrap around her head, it was actually sitting under her. I ASSUME that's what it is because that's what it looks like rolled up with a bit of tape. Like someone pulled it off her head and had no idea how to put it back on lol

 

Turns out my little Beth was strung a liiiiiiittle bit too tightly. Everything was going perfectly in the un-boxing until I folded a wing down and it snapped off in my hand, Lol. The S hook had broken through the resin holding it in place and is now deeply inbedded in the connecting part. Thankfully I was able to contact Alice C. and they messaged Dream Valley, and at some point in the future I'll have a new left wing and the horror of re-stringing such a tiny and delicate baby angel. Yay!

 

I noticed that DV dolls tend to be really tightly strung. When I got my B56 body, it was so tight, I had to put new elastic in just to put a head on the body.

 

So I’m finally have tracking from the dealer and my Gloria is going to be delivered tomorrow. It’s been almost 14 months since I ordered her. I’m sad that I’m working all day tomorrow but I’m crazy excited to finally have her.

 

My DV bodies have been in transit for 16 days now and finally left China. Let's hope they won't get stuck in Dutch customs for another 16 days now.

 

Got my Gloria today. I panicked a bit because it said it was delivered and I looked everywhere for her, couldn’t find her so I checked the tracking again. They left her in the shed…….one that was supposed to be locked……. Guess my husband didn’t lock it the last time he did yard work but I found her tucked away. I really wanted to do a nice unboxing but light faded way too quickly so I will continue when I have my day off. She is crazy tight…. I really struggled trying to get her head back on after I put her eyes in. I’ll have to see if I can loosen her elastic or get some new for her.

 

Wow, I'm glad you found her tucked in the shed... I guess the delivery person worried about leaving such a big box out in the open? That must have been so nerve-racking until you found her there...

Gloria is so gorgeous, though! I hope you can enjoy taking some pictures of her when your day off comes~

 

Has anyone ever ordered just clothes from Dream Valley before? How long was the wait?

I ordered a few outfits (the first order back in November last year) through BJDivas.

 

Not clothes, but I did order a pair of feet. It took 11 months.
I ordered the same feet through another dealer. 9 months and counting.
If it ain't a full doll, it does not appear to be a priority for Dream Valley.
I love Dream Valley. Don't love their wait times, though.

 

I got my 71cm DV body last week!!! It's so beautiful!!! But for some reason the customs are just hanging onto my 73cm body that entered customs the same day as the other one. I'm getting so impatient! It's right there! And it's been there for 12 days just sitting still :'>
Also, I'm also in the same pinch as some of you guys having to restring - The 71cm body is so tightly strung I can hardly get a head on it. I'm so scared of snapping the bottom of the head, it's that tight and he can't even sit upright with a head on, he's completely stiff! I've never restrung a doll with new elastic, and I have no idea where to buy some :'> ooof.

 

I'm starting to miss the old days when dolls had a big knot of elastic so you could loosen it if you wanted. XD (That was a thing, right? I'm not just misremembering.)

Anyway, if it's not too off topic, ebay is your friend. You can buy round elastic of various thicknesses there. Since people started making masks, it's been a lot easier to find elastic!

(Or your favourite doll dealer might have some, if you don't trust ebay)

 

I just ordered the Dean Human Full set from Denver Doll. This is my first full set and my second BJD. I am so excited! It is going to be a long wait.

hahaha. that's brilliant! makes me want to rewatch that show.

 

My husband and I discovered it recently and it very quickly became my favorite show ever. It’s on Hulu right now in the US!

You're not alone the giraffe dolls are cool! I too don't have the cash, but if I had an infinite doll fund, I'd probably end up with one. XD Too many dolls are on the "maybe, if I finish my wishlist, and have lots of cash" list. Especially Dream Valley ones, because they do make some interesting taurs! (Really wish I could get one of their wolf-taurs too)

@Faydflowright Yup! They are limited, but they've had 2 releases so far. The sculpts are called Chaos and Order, and if these fluffy boys get another release I'm going to be sorely tempted! XD

I just emailed Christina from Clover Singing about the estimated wait time for my Dean (Ordered in the beginning of June) I'm in no rush, I was just curious. Anyway, she told me that he won't be ready until December. December. That's a lot longer than I thought ahahahah

She also said that they're starting to ship January Dream Valley orders now, so if you ordered through them in January, your orders should be on the way!! lol

Hello everyone!! I have a blank dream valley collier with the human body in pink skin coming in very soon *hopefully* and ya boi is so excited!!

 

I got a tracking number for my Rubin and dragon body from Alice's! Yaaay! Ordered last day of february and now says will arrive in a week and a half. Hope the transit goes smooth and has no customs problems...

 

Oof! It's a good thing that I renewed my lease so whenever that doll does come I'll still be in the same place xD

 

How long is the waiting usually? I was told six months.
