Dream Valley Waiting Room #2

I just got the human Achelous head and B4-17 body in black resin that I ordered back in Jan with another doll from another company through BJDivas. I seem to have forgotten to even add him to the waiting list, but I was distracted by the big dragon I ordered around the same time. XD

Anyway I now have a lanky shadow boy and he is lovely. Not sure if I said as much when I got my dragon, but their black resin is super pretty in person, it seems inky which is a plus to me.

 

Ooo glad to hear the black resin looks great in person! I'm waiting on Maurren (ordered back in late May) and the little clips I saw on insta showing off his wings looked amazing.

 

I am waiting anxiously for my dragon still. There's been no movement on his package since Monday 2nd.

 

I got my shipping email about a week ago and she showed up this afternoon

 

Oh she's beautiful. I love the moss in her pelvis and ribcage, the engineering on the whole thing is marvellous.

 

I nearly got my dragon today but I missed it by about five minutes. I went out at 10:02, the delivery attempt was 10:07.

I've organised redelivery for tomorrow but I am kicking myself just a little bit.

 

I finally got my 1/4 dragon. DDE shipped it out via UPS on the 19th and I got the package the very next day to another country no less! This guy is HUGE. One if the jointed toes popped out...thankfully it was just sloppy stringing and no parts were broken, so I restrung everything back. I have no idea where to put this guy so right now its back in the box until I rearrange my space.

 

My Cedar arrived today! And oh my goodness, he is wonderful!

Looks like the Maurrens are starting to go out. I just got a shipping notif from Alice. My wait time was 7 months and a week.

 

Also got a shipping notice for Maurren (Alice's was nice enough to copy both of us, per request, as my friend and I are doing a split). This is a naked bird with faceup, so fullsets might be awhile longer still.

This morning, a shipping Notice from Alice for my Liliya Bone Mermaid order. She was ordered on June 3rd. So, 6 months and 5 days, not bad at all, I was prepared to wait 8 months

 

My friend's Maurren order-normal skin yellow, faceup, no body blush-arrived on Tuesday. The pics are gorgeous and I'm excitedly waiting the arrival of the head to my house. I have plans.

I've adored Dream Valley for many years now. But finally getting one. I have the white moss/ghost moth on layaway. Getting her blank with the cocoa skin. It was so beautiful I had to, especially since it was a new resin color and wasn't sure if it'd be available in future dolls.

 

Same here @kc-darkfairy ! My first DV order was for Moss and I got the new color. Woop woop!

That's where the Waitlist is. The previous waiting room thread had it as it's own tab but this one doesn't seem to. Perhaps a mod could add that if that's possible.

That's awesome! I hope you post pictures. Probably 4-6 weeks before DDE gets their shipments in.

 

Ooh, really exciting to see that the birds are starting to ship...

Do you (or anyone) know by chance if DDE tends to get the blanks in earlier than the fullsets, or do they all ship around the same time? I ordered a blank maurren along with like... three other dolls and I was so hoping they would be ready to go once my nine-month layaway was paid off a few days ago, but I guess I'm still stuck obsessively refreshing the order status page for a while longer lol (although I guess the other dolls could be playing a part in the wait time too).

 

You will probably hear something soon. DDE got blank Cedar and Fawna a few weeks before they got the fullsets, and that's been notable with the last few dolls. If the others you are waiting on are also blank that will give you a better chance. The wait times have been longer lately, but the dolls have been amazing.

I did also get a blank cedar from them but I didn't pay attention to whether or not they had the fullsets yet at the time lol, I just remember it was after some others mentioned their fullsets had shipped from elsewhere. A couple of the dolls in my order are hybrids with Doll Chateau bodies, so that could also be part of the wait (I think I've heard they tend to be on the longer end?) but most of the order is Dream Valley and they are all blank, so I'll just have to wait and see

I just got a notice from BJDivas this morning that my fullset Cedar is ready to ship to me! I'm just waiting for the shipping invoice after confirming my address.

I'm also waiting on a fullset Maurren (in addition to Ehecalt, Hylander, and White Moss, lol) so it's nice to see that the male birds are also starting to ship!

 

I am getting the Dream Valley Twin Bird. This is one doll that I am very excited to get. I have been collecting fantasy doll for a while now and this will be my first bird/harpy type and she will fit in so well with my other creatures. I am still making payments for it but soon she will arrive. I can't wait...will post pictures when she is here!

 

I'm waiting on an Ehecatl, too! Finished my layaway for him with DDE last month and now I'm "patiently" waiting for DV to finish production.

 

I just saw the news that USPS is suspending all inbound packages from China and Hong Kong. I'm still waiting on Maurren from DDE. I'm guessing DDE likely works with a larger carrier for their packages, but I am worried about whether or not our orders will be affected by this. Dream Valley has already been taking longer in shipping - which I totally understand the quality of what we are getting is amazing and worth the money and the wait, but I wonder if we're going to see longer wait times and possible custom fees from here on out.

 

I'm waiting on Maurren as well, but mine is coming through Alice's Collections. I'm starting to get very worried about my harpy boy's arrival, I don't want the package to be lost or damaged.Regardless of how things plays out, I hope everything goes smoothly.

 

I wasn't really worried until now, lol. I ordered a full set with with white wing arms on May 4th, so I'm just fingers-crossed he's taking a bit of extra time is all.

 

Yeeah I'm in the same boat now :c Though, the last time I received something from Alice, she sent via FedEx. I haven't seen yet if the suspension on packages from China applies to private carriers yet, though? I'll look into that.

 

I’m worried now, too. I ordered a full set Maurren in May and when I saw people mentioning getting theirs already I reached out to Alice’s Collection. They said they’d look into that for me but haven’t heard anything back yet. I’m guessing the Chinese New Year is delaying answers.

 

USPS just updated their statement:

I emailed Alice's Collection in the middle of the night when I was too worried to sleep and got a response pretty quickly!

 

Awesome! I was going to ask if one of us should email so she didn't get swamped under everyone asking the same thing.

 

Just got the email from DDE, Maurren is on his way! Was expecting a few more weeks of waiting.

 

I got my shipping notification from DDE today too! Mine was a big order (I really fell back in hard after being out of the hobby for a while) so they sent me two tracking numbers — one with Maurren, the three separate heads & bodies, two pairs of hands, and a pair of feet; and another with... just the (in-stock) phoenix wings apparently. I'm surprised they didn't split the order more evenly; I'm kind of scared to see the size of that first box lol. All of it is DV except for two of the bodies which are DC. They both say they should arrive in a week. Super excited for the wait to finally be over!

 

That's super exciting! That first box is going to be impressive. The DV boxes have been surprisingly big lately, so it will interesting to see how they pack Maurren's wings with the doll itself. We'll see soon!

I ordered a Dream Valley 'Twin Birds' Milien (basic, blank, no additional parts) in white from DenverDoll via layaway. I'm so excited for her!!

I had a resolution to not buy any dolls for 2025, but then I saw this beautiful harpy doll and my heart was stollen!!

 

Maurren is here! I'm out of the waiting room for now. I will try to do box opening pictures soon - it's a busy day today.

I'd been thinking since I first ordered him that I'd name him January. Having some second thoughts now after... /gestures at last month. I'll see how the vibes are feeling when I open up his box, I guess~

 

Friend helped me out with "Sawyer"! It rolls off the tongue easily and fits well with the two dolls who he'll be friends with - Cypress and Julius. We're mocking up a whole backstory now, which will hopefully stick through his unboxing

Awesome!! I have a dumb question: How are you getting the mask to stay on his face, is it with eye putty? I got my Maurren as well and I thought the mask might be magnetic or something but it's not.

not a dumb question at all. When I first opened the box and before I put on the wig, the black mask (I got two) actually stayed on fine. Once the wig was on the painted mask didn’t seem to fit as well so yes, I used eye putty. I’m a little concerned about it eating into the faceup though so I pulled it off after a day. I think I’ll use some magnets to try and get it to see on top of his head like some of the promo pics.

 

My Harpy arrived this afternoon, and his wings are gorgeous!

 

Ah, I was afraid that I had accidentally thrown away some important small part or something. Weird how the unpainted mask stays but the painted one doesn't o-o Thank you though!

 

My Marren has shipped!!! I am so giddy and ready to have him here. I also have some goodies for my Ophelia (Myou Daisy) and Willow (Maskcat Roulan).

 

Layaways for Serpent and Chimera are closed! Next move to Dream Valley...

I put in an order for one of the twin birds, Milien on AC earlier this month on the 11th! I adore harpies so much so I was immediately in love when I saw her. I have not fully decided yet what I will do with her once she is here but she was too perfect to miss out on, luckily I have plenty of time to plan. This is my first time waiting for a doll so I am very excited (: What do people usually do to pass the time while waiting? I am so anxious!
