Wow!!! He looks so beautiful!!!! I love the blue tongue, that’s such a fun little detail

 

He is very photogenic! looking forward to seeing the red one for a comparison (and be only keeping one as they are a little larger than I expected, even though I did a cardboard mockup).

Looks great with my pukipuki, can even hold the puki with no support too which is wonderful

@kyukyukyu - Declaring his territory, I see. Useful size comparison too, thank you! I love the one of him holding the pukipuki - like "it's my size, can I keep it?" Or is it the puki saying that? Congrats!

 

Anyone got a full set 1/4 dragon yet who ordered earlier in the pre order period, like in January? I'm kinda curious because I'm only seeing blank ones being shipped out and maybe the full sets are taking longer because of the size and detail?

Also anyone here getting their Fawn/Deer people? I think they should start to trickle in at least maybe the blank ones?

 

I ordered a fawna is early February but I haven’t heard anything yet. I also ordered through DDE though so that comes with a bit of an extra wait

 

Ordered a Sultan (full doll) and Sweet Chirp (head only) end of February from Alice's Collections.
Hoping I won't be waiting to much longer.

I've received my Lucia and I'm in love!! I couldn't afford it at the time of the release, but I kinda wish I bought a second one in a different color lol. I hope DV will make more dolls in this size

Well I fell down the Chimera hole. Yes I'm still waiting for my Dragon to come (Please ship soon) but that Chimera girl full set is just so awesome I had to get her too .Dream Valley now owns my soul or at least my wallet again. LOL

 

After waiting over 4 months reached out to someone at Alice's collection and they replied it will be another 2 to 4 months. I really hope my doll ships soon but this is the first time I kinda regret getting a doll from a company. Hopefully my little crow is ready soon.

 

Yeah, I ordered back in early February and I’m still waiting on my doll. Dream Valley has been really slowed down by the dragon production I think because I’ve ordered stuff from them before and had a 3-5 month turn around in the past.

 

Looks like DDE has some full set Lucias in stock. Also a few 1/6 dragons as well.

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited for her! She will be so fun to do up!

Super excited. This is going to truly feel like an endless wait. Even her release since the teaser photos has already felt like an endless wait!!

The coco brown was just too pretty to say no to. I also hope our moths will come sooner than eight months. Do you already have an idea on how you’re going to customise your girl?

 

I'm wanting to order the new moth girl and I came here to check the wait times since I've never ordered from dream valley before.... is it still really long?

 

Yeah. Their big dragons really pushed them back, and their naga in August also had a lot of pieces. I'd say expect a 6 month wait at least and be pleasantly surprised if she ships sooner. But also don't be surprised if she takes longer while they're backlogged, especially if you order in tan/gray/coco brown. All of my DVs have taken at least 5-7 months.

 

@skyealloway Your red dragon is gorgeous! He appears much more vast than a 1/4 scale. May he meet many scaly ladies to have beverages with, handsome devil even without wings!

@Feathered Shadows , I am thinking as close to nature as possible, likely Gypsy- moth ish, in ivory drapy silks and faux fur and beige/ grey/ brown blushings & linework. and then later i was thinking light green. I'll make some sketches etc, there'll be plenty of time after all

 

It may be longer for a more complicated order like the moth girl, but my Vanora was about 5 month for a blank head, which was sooner than i was expecting her to take. I planned on about 6 months and she came early.

My Dragon Red just arrived in Canada. Not sure how long it will take him to get to me as he;s in BC and I'm in Ontario. I'm hoping before Friday . I have a doll show Sunday I'd love to take him to.

I am really tempted by the moth girl ... 4 arms! ... but now got thinking of the magnet arms and how arms strung well, through the torso, provide the tension to do outstretched arm gestures. And now wondering how these singularly strung arms will fare. And was wondering if anyone else has been thinking this and what their thoughts are?

I have a Souldoll 4 arm Shiva who can do beautiful graceful arm movements (think tribal/ats belly dance) and want a quarter scale who can do the same. And getting cold feet now on ordering

 

I have, @kyukyukyu , but the hard part of restringing to me, and getting tension right, is looping elastic through many body parts and hiding the big knot. I figure restringing a limb ( the legs are magnetized too, not just her arms) is not much more than stringing a few beads on a small piece of elastic and pulling the little elastic tight before knotting with a single small knot. Also! Finally a use for the small pieces of left over elastic I have saved in a baggie! And I don't mind restringing at all, unless it is on a FL realpuki

@tanjalalie thanks for the video link, very helpful thank you noticed the arms have the ridges to help to stabilise arm posing, and of course the arms are lighter in this scale so works well.

Forgot to mention I got a shipping notice for my fullset black dragon on the 24th and both boxes arrived on the 27th! I'm not allowed to open him quite yet, though. Update you all when I do. I'll still be here waiting on my snake-boys anyway!

@skyealloway - I love your first photo with him holding the tankard! He does seem like a good size to hang out with your other dolls. ^_^ Good luck with him!

@skyealloway - He's the 1/4th size! Or at least he'd better be, since that's what I ordered. Hopefully just a few days - I promised myself I'd finish a certain project before I can open him.

 

I ordered the crow boy back in May, so I guess it's probably still pretty early for news on him (I also got the fullset, so. Bonus time). I am curious about his arms, too, with those wings, since he's also got the magnets. It makes sense if they made the moth girl's arms lighter, but I imagine with the big wings, they could only do so much on that front.

I already settled on the name January for mine (couldn't tell you why, it just felt right), so I was thinking it'd be funny if he did, indeed, arrive in January. But if he wants to get here sooner....
