@LadyMadrigal Good to know! I guess I thought it connected lower on the back, if it's really as high as almost the base of the neck I can't imagine too many outfits being completely unworkable.

 

I actually just got home from vacation and opened my Vine (and he's totally stunning), but has anyone else's DV doll been really tight? Mine has snapped every single ribbon I've tried to use to get his head on, and all to no avail... Maybe it's just my inexperience with any companies other than DC/DZ but I feel like this is absurdly tight for an MSD.

I mean, he poses beautifully but I’d like to be able to put his head on without fear of snapping his elastic you know?

 

I've also had most of my experience with DZ MSDs , I found my DV to be much tighter than them but I don't remember having a problem with the head. I do find that her stringing allows her to hold poses much better and has highlighted I really need to go through my other MSDs and tighten them to match. Sorry I can't be more help your vine looks lovely though! It's nice to see the other sculpts appearing in here!

 

Yay, Vine! I've been trying to find more pictures of him so I can live vicariously through other people until mine shows up.

 

Vine!!! So good to see owner pics of him. Thanks for the heads up about the stringing. I generally use ribbons, but I may have to look into a beefier option to avoid popping myself in the face when I try to take the head on and off.

I have received Vine and Hyaline two days ago.
Vine stole the Dollzone 45-018 body in old white skin I had ordered for another head and Hyaline had an unexpected third arm.
I love them!
The b4-04 body is amazing but headless now...
I am wondering how their normal skin compare to dz/dc pink and fairyland normal ?

how is the posing of the B4-04 body? Any issues?
And how is the diameter of the string channels? Do they look like re-stringing them would be a problem?
Any idea what string diameter would be needed?

 

The B4-04 body is honestly one of the best posers I've ever had. To be fair I've pretty much only had DZ/DC bodies so far but this body is just the best of all worlds imo. In particular the thigh joints are kind of shocking to me, since with other dolls they seem sort of... more trouble than they're worth? But on this body they work so well even in clothes... it all feels very natural!

idk about the elastic and interior of the parts, I've been too nervous about how tight he's strung to try restringing him.

'Pity that the girls' bodies aren't the shape I am looking for. I hope they'll create another one: I'd love one which is lanky but still feminine. I have a 'big hips' BJD and it is quite a lot of trouble if I want to make her a pattern for trousers. In fact, I still haven't finished it, and I've been at it for 2 years . I'd love to have a young teenage girl among my crew.

I'm really tempted to order a whole lot of dolls from Dream Valley. Thinking about Vine as a full set.

 

I'm sure the ones experienced in bjd have realised this already but. Silence has a tiny head and none of the msd wigs are staying on very well and even the one she came with is quite loose. any I would buy for her in future the ones made for 1/6 scale would be better it seems..

 

Hello guys! Joining this thread as my Seren has finally arrived! ^_^


The quality is very good in my opinion. Sturdy and feels solid. The joints are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The stringing is quite tight, as others have already mentioned, and I struggled a bit while attaching the head. And less than 2 months waiting time too! I am very impressed.

Unfortunately my LUTS KDF Yuz immediately claimed the body for himself, and now I have a floating Seren head with nothing to do.

 

Does anyone else have this problem? Or is it just Silence?

 

The 6/7 Monique wigs seem to fit well. But I also always use a bit of silicone putty to hold wigs in place

 

Im so nervous about getting my doll. And excited. I'm at exactly 2 months waiting and it's killing me. Does the doll come with care and stringing instructions???

 

I finally placed my order for Thorne with the three armed body. And a purple to qualify for the event Foxy. Doing a super long layaway but I didn't want to miss out on Purple and Foxy is cute, so why not.

 

I was eyeballing Vine for a whiiiile now.

This company reminds me a ton of DC, but with the option of getting the body without the monster-parts (third arm)! I am all over this, but I think I'm more interested in Seren than Vine by now, haha. I LOVE love love the male 51cm body! It's absolutely perfect for my jester OC, and while the face isn't EXACT, I think I can deal with some good modding and faceup work.... I am seriously considering just taking the dive. Originally, I was interested in another doll from a different company, but the body wasn't quite right despite the face being the closest I'd seen. But after the body for this one came across my "you should check out" list, I had to blink twice, and I concluded that I can make one of their sculpts work.

I like DC for example, but I never can get past that their just a TAD too skinny, bony, or monster-ish. This company has just about the perfect blend of what I wanted from them, and that scratches a major itch for me.

If I do, it'll be through Alice's Collections though, and maybe set up a layaway. My car-saving fund will not thank me, but I have more than enough now, I think that I can start to pull this off. XD

 

Anyone post any pictures of their DV yet? There are only two doll profiles up for dream valley dolls and I'd like to live vicariously through you guys while I wait.

 

I won't have mine to share for awhile.

Speaking of these dolls, they have a new advent getting ready to start. Looks like some dragon type event dolls coming. doomed.

Even with the pear-shaped body, I find standard MSD clothing fits well. The only thing I need to watch out for is the third arm, which sits just below the base of the neck. So - hoodies are out.

Hmm, those don't look too bad! I was worried different heads would look huge on those cute shoulders.

 

That's my big fear about hybriding. I don't know what would look good on her body

 

I received my Vine yesterday and I'm in love. He poses nicely, and is beautifully sculpted. This really makes me want to buy the new SD body even more if it ends up being just as nice. I'll try to get more pictures this weekend, but for now here are a few box opening pics on my instagram, Becca on Instagram: “I received my Dream Valley Vine today and I love him! Edited to add: Does anyone have any clothing size recommendations for the boy body?

 

Bumping the thread to again ask about clothing options. Most of the slim MSD clothes I'm finding online appear to be made for the Fairyland MSD body type, and as such are likely to be to short.

 

As long as it's not something specifically for the Moe Line dolls, it will probably work. They're just shy of 18". Miri has a good two or three inches on my MNF Mio, who's on the Moe Line body. I don't have an A-Line for comparison, though.

Maybe I can help a little with some questions concerning the boy body.
For one, I‘d like to mention that this bidy is definitely one of my, if not THE, best poser I own or owned.
Check this out - he‘s standing and holding this position without any aids as he came out of the box! No sueding or wiring!

He’s also a hybrid, wearing a Souldoll Soulkid Joelle head. I DID shorten the neck a bit to be a visually better fit in this case. For my taste in aesthetics the neck was too long in combination with this head.
The ws of both companies is also a great match.

That said, as for clothes... I have troubles giving recommendations, as I make most clothing myself and what he’s wearing in that pic was something that came as freebie with one of my dolls. I believe the pants were Dollzone, but are too short (covered up by the boots). The top is just a normal slimmer msd top.
If you are looking to buy, I would check and compare the measurements of DCs 50-something body and see if it’s close enough to give it a try. Other than that maybe look into Dollmore Zaoll and Souldoll Vito (girl and boys) clothing snd measurements.

I‘m currently planing another white hybrid. This time an Unoa Sist head with the 3-armed girl body :3 just gotta place the order now


Edit: And yes, all DV MSDs are on the smaller side of the MSD head size, needing 6-7 wigs. My friends got girls and boys and have confuthis. My Souldoll also takes 6-7.

 

@LadyMadrigal I just checked FL's measurement table, and it looks like the A line body is an inch taller than the Moe body. I'll probably just have to buy some clothes and see how they work.

@Snowy I always forget about the Vito dolls, so I just went and checked and while the clothes are likely to fit all but one of the boys outfits are available for order, and it's sadly not in the colors I need.

 

@Cloudedmind Damn. Maybe with the coming event there will be more stuff avaible. Oh and maybe check out the NL clothes/body as well. They might be a bit shorter than normal on the legs, but I think they are similar in meassurements.

What kind of clothes are you looking for?

 

@Snowy NL? Either clothes in pastel colors or just rainbow colors. So not a lot of dark blues or blacks for once. :P

 

@Cloudedmind Their Soulkids line with the NLbody (new line). The boys are 47cm tall and while not as slim, might work despite that.
Pastel, huh? I'm afraid you'll have to see if you can comission that kind of clothes. Or find white ones and dye/paint them, if you can't find them for DC's body. I can't think of a company that has that kind of clothing by default with similar bodies. But for tops I think etsy might aid.

 

@Snowy Ah, got it!

And yeah I've been looking on etsy as well, but mostly finding stuff made for MNF sized dolls who are 9 to 10 cm's shorter then these boys, so things may or may now fit lengthwise. It would have to be the non-standard MSD who would demand pastels and rainbows. xD

I am also waiting on a girl on the three arm body. I really want to paint the third arm black and put a mouth on the palm. Maybe an eye on the back. Either way, I can't wait until she arrives so I can play with her design!

 

I can't wait to get my girl! I'm going to put the head up for sale soon after so I can hybrid her!

 

I'm ordering the girl version, but not until after New Years. I have so many dolly plans on the go atm that it's difficult to keep up.

Mostly, I'm trying to focus on getting bodies for the heads I have or are on the way.

It should be here any time. I'm waiting for DDE to tell me when I gets there but DV said "early December" I'm on 109 days of waiting. That 15 weeks and some change.

He's going to be a Black Knight and now momst of the clothes that are going to go UNDER the armor I'm hoping to craft are now done. I have a feeling he isn't getting another outfit any time soon because... that would require me taking off his current one and perhaps needing to put that ON him again and... X.x Nope. Thanks. I'm good for a while...
(Why did I ever think lacings were a good option? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!.... Oh right. They were nice to look at and fit the setting and made clothes easier adjustable and multi-doll-body-usable. ... Ugh.)

He just listens to me. He's invested because I'm so invested. He knows the lingo and hate recasters and such but he doesn't own bjd. He likes Figmas tho. I've been telling him all my plans and he loves how happy I get when I talk about it but I'm driving him nuts about the wait time lol

 

I took a few pictures of my Seren. He is in tan skin, and I just love his body and skin color. They're not the best pictures, but I hope I help some people who might want the tan skin. I can't wait to post pictures when he is all painted and dressed up!

DV Cloris but....she didn't come with a COA. just a little tag and a qr code. Do I need to contact DDE??

 

Yay! I'm glad you got her. Mine didn't come with a COA card either, but I believe the little tag may be like a COA. I was searching through their Weibo from the QR code, and I saw it translated as a birth card on one of the photos. Of course that could mean anything coming from Google translate, but its what I thought it might be.

Of course you can always contact them if you want to be sure on what was supposed to be included.

 

I also only received the tag and assumed it was their version of a CoA.

 

That's okay then. I got worried. I would have loved some literature with the doll. Like a how to care/restringinging guide. But I'm a sucker for paperwork.
She stands like a rock right out of the box. I'm going to give her a bath so I can spray her and start blushing!

 

My two only came with the tags as well. And honestly, their dolls rival Fairyland for posing. I'm super impressed.

 

My favorite part about my doll is her boobs. they look so natural! There's so many beautiful tiny details!!!
