40–49cm Dolls Dream Valley Chimera - Hylander

My Chimera arrived today! I got super lucky and didn't have to pay for the import tax this time around. I ordered her from Alice Collection beginning of September. Shipping took about a week but we had a bank holiday weekend so things sat for a little longer.

She came super well boxed. I also ordered a MSD doll stand with her, but she doesn't need it so I can use it on another doll. Because she has such big feet she stands pretty easily on her own. I unboxed her upstairs then immediately put her in my doll cabinet so she's safe and snug until I'm free to do more things with her.

Her outfit came with a bunch of string for the details for the outfit. After a bit of playing I decided to leave them off. I think I'm going to find some accessories instead to spruce her up. She was so easy to dress, considering her arms and legs come off with magnets. I had to find some different eyes for her. She came with small dark reddish eyes that didn't quite fit the vibe I was going for. So she has the silver dragon eyes I bought from AC a couple years ago. I might try to find golden or orange eyes for her.

I also included a photo of her next to her tail. It's a long as she is! Very well made but some of the points seem a bit dangerous. XD I didn't notice it in the promo photos but it has red splattering on the tip like it's covered in blood.....interesting little detail.

I'm obsessed with Dream Valley! I wish I had more money so I could have them all. XD

I thought her look was just so crazy. I wish I had bought her human head too but the animal head looks so lovely and the faceup detailing is so good. She's so much chunkier than my DV Gloria and she towers over my DV Lami.

There was a couple of people in the waiting room, so we should hopefully get some more owner photos. I can't wait to see what unique looks other's do. I tend to buy fullsets so I don't have to hunt for faceup artist and I can enjoy the doll from the get go.

 

I'm so in love with her face.

I think I might keep the silver for a while. Saves me from spending more money. Lol.

 

Her resin is so smooth and thick. Since her full body is blushed, I ended up putting gloves on so I could get her dressed and her eyes in. I was so worried I was going to mess her beautiful paint work.

I don’t know if I would have liked her as much if I got her blank. I’m finding that the few dolls that I have that are blank just don’t interest me as much. There is too much choice on how to design them so they end up half finished. XD

Im sure soon my whole collection will be Dream Valley!

 

I was quite surprised by her feet. I thought they were going to be more lion like. It's like each toe has a hoof at the end. Guess that makes her more 'chimera' like.
