My Lahoo is officially a girl. Her name is Lyrica Elizabeth St. James and as soon as I have her outfit together and her face completed I will post some pics. I have some blushing to do to make her match her body better and she will need a bit more makeup, some lashes and some girl clothes but this won't take long. She's 3/4 there already. But definitely a girl. I just love my Lahoo head on the Bobobie girl body. It works really, really well except for a slight difference in coloring...

I just got Krow his new outfit. Unfortunately his newer jeans is way too tight so there is no way it fits on him. Have to look for more jean options.
He's got sneakers...hooray! The newer outfit is from DollHeart. It's one of those compulsive buys and surprisingly enough, it looks good on him.
My camera is now broken. No hopes in fixing it x D.
I'll have to wait for a newer camera and take lots of photo : (

 

Hey guys I am having a little trouble finding a decent resin and size match for jointed hands on DOT boys. Do any of you guys know what are good matches or can maybe shoot me a link in the right direction? I can't find a thread about it, I'm not sure where to look.

 

Has anyone bought pants for their DOT boy from Tata's? If so, do they fit? They have a ton of cute stuff but I'm always so weary about buying pants.

 

Do Tata's make a separate DOT size for the particular pants you're looking for? If not, SD13 size is usually it.

I have never had a problem with their SD13-sized pants for Severin; he is on the old-style DOT body, which is shaped almost just like an SD13. I think the newer body is slightly thinner, though.

"....More leather pants. " Oh great, he does NOT need any more leather pants, but just he caught me looking at Tata's website again and is demanding swag. Drat.

 

What a cutie! You can never have too many pairs of leather pants.

Their SD13 category lists DOT so I'm sure there shouldn't be a problem I just wanted to check before ordering. Thanks!

 

I bought a lot of pants in Tata's. I can assure you that they definitely make the size DoT as it says so in their SD13 section.
Be careful though, some of their pants has no zipper. Sometimes they will show it but if they don't then those pants have no zipper.
You might just add those yourself or a velcro if anything.

Two new dolls added last night/ this morning on DOD!!!! The doll pages are up and price is listed buuut they haven't switched them to available from Coming Soon yet :-) They posted a notice saying New Dolls were added, but haven't said anything else on when they'll be available. They look cuuuuute!

I haven't posted in here.
I was going to buy that Sadol uniform but decided not to. Still searching for jean options for DoTs.
I've been shopping around. Thought TTYA jeans could fit DoT but their SD13 male size is way too small. They only fit the SD13 girls.
Also I finally got new eyes for Krow. They are the ones from Soul Doll. Again, I will try to find the right day to picture that.
This is just a small pic I got of him. I got the default outift of Code No. 2 during that buy default outfit event. That's a pretty long time to show it though..

Just wanted to ask something.
I want to buy shoes for my DOT but most of the shoes I looked at are like 3cm in width but DOD's listed foot size is 3.4cm.
I've been looking on the marketplace and other websites but do you guys have a site/store that you usually go to?

Volks makes good wide shoes-- a bunch of their SD13B shoes are intended to also fit SD17-- and Volks guys also just have big wide feet.

If your boy is into boots, he can wear any over-sized shoe without it looking gappy (SD17, DOI, other 70cm sizes).

Severin also wears a lot of old DollHeart SD13 shoes, though they are definitely a tighter fit. I think their sizing may have changed over the years, but not sure.

 

The shoes that Azriel is wearing right now are dollmore and, to be honest I think they are supposed to be for big girls. I've had him in dress shoes that I got from Alice's collection. I never really had a problem with the width of his feet, but I have been looking for shoes that would fit spirit doll boys and iplehouse boys, so with the exception of the white boots that are specifically his, they are a little roomy unless he's wearing hefty winter socks. Lucian is on another body and I can't find anything for him because his feet are 4cm wide. There aren't very many companies that make that, but I just found him a pair in a style he would wear. Lucian is not a big black boot kind of guy. I got him boat shoes, but I need to find him tan work boots and canvas slip ons. He would wear sketchers leather shoes but I have only found one pair like that and it was 3 cm wide. The hunt continues, lol. Here he is though. My pretty white wolf.

I got him a few pairs of sd13 boots but they were too tight for him and the back of his foot was sticking out so i couldnt zip the shoes up... Ive since gone for SD17 shoes, they fit DoTs pretty well.Shoes for 70cm guys fit DoTs too, Especially if you need a little more space to tuck their pants into the boots and dont want to risk zipping the pants and damaging them

 

Why are their feet so big for -_-
I guess I will just have to save up some money to get some shoes since all the cheap one I found in the marketplace probably won't fit...

@izumiyavi : Hi there and your welcome. I'm using a 16mm eyes. I placed a 14mm eyes and it looks a bit too serious. As people suggested so far, 16mm is good if you want them to look a more childish young look. 14mm eyes is for mature look. So it all depends. I find myself just putting the 16mm eyes because it fits his personality/look. If you're getting the B I definitely need to some pictures.

Thank you! He's due to be home by end June or early July so I'll definitely be putting up pictures as soon as he's here. I've only been using 16mms on all of my dolls so far, but they don't really look right from certain angles on my Lahoo. I ended up ordering a couple of 14mms anyway just to see how much of a difference they'd make.

 

Ooohhh but yeah I guess it really all depends on where you are getting the eyes. There are so many varieties. I remember asking about eyes on this thread earlier. I also been wanting to look at Eyeco or Captured in Glass because I spoke to a nice gentlemen that you can ask Eyeco to customize the eyes for example like the 16mm eye into a 14mm iris. Also like a few said about CiG you can ask to customize as well. I have various of eyes from other brands. I always have a problem with gaping in the eyes but that can easily be remedied by using white poster tack. But I wouldn't mind searching to customize eyes anyways. Hmm though I was looking at Ersa Flora's eyes. Those led eyes : 3 Perfect for Halloween.

Krow got a new wig and that's so not him. I laughed because he looked like a girl.

 

I think a girly hairstyle suits Krow, even if he doesn't like it. ^^ DOD guys are usually good for a whole lotta androgynous hairstyles!

Oh, now I see what you mean; I have some of those glow-in-the-dark eyes already, I thought you meant there were eyes that actually had LED lights in them. Ah, now that would be cool. I'll bet somebody manages to invent that within the next couple of years. Severin's glowing-ember eyes are just good old-fashioned metallics... so you have to be facing the light in just the right way before they glow... If he had lightbulbs going on in there, he'd be unstoppably smoldery!

 

Ahhh thank you for letting me know. Never had any of Ersa eyes before. Also, I know KitKaze did sell led eyes in one of the meets. It was very awesome. If she is selling them again you can ask.

 

I had made some eyes that had open pupils. The eyes themselves didn't work out the way I had wished, but I was able to put an led in my girls head and the light shown out of her eyes. It was a pretty cool effect, and the resin I cast the eyes in was great, but the stuff I made the lenses from turned out to yellow really quickly so i was pretty disappointed. I have some resin now that I could use that would work much better and not have the issues that those had, but I'm moving soon so haven't gotten to try it out. I can post pictures of the results if you want to see. I don't think it's quite what you want JennyNemesis, but it was a neat novelty thing, yanno? A couple of my guys have refractive pupils so they shine like a wild animal's would. I didn't do that with Azriel's or Lu's so I haven't posted them in here.

I was hoping to take Lucian out tomorrow. We'll see though. It may end up being Shydran and Azriel again. Lucian still needs work to his wig and his body. I just love taking pictures of his long feral face. No matter how soft the colors, the lighting, no matter how relaxed he may seem, he still feels so wolfen to me. I know I keep posting him... I just love him to bits even though he's so different.

 

Ah, thanks for the tip! - I can totally look Kitkatze up. LED eyes aren't something I've been actively seeking, but if they're a Thing, I'll definitely seek em out. Glow-in-the-dark eyes are excellent.... but they do keep needing re-charging with a light, and they also look best when it's a little too dark to photograph n the first place. ;; (Or, rather, I'd need to get a better camera that takes better nighttime pics than what I've got now, in order to really do those eyes justice. ^_^)

Severin's shiny-foil metallic eyes are, in the meantime, the closest I've come to getting a real burning-eye look. Masterpiece's "metalized" color effects are really quite excellent.

[MENTION=51379]Myrretah[/MENTION] sticking a lightbulb in the doll's head & then having empty pupils would also be a neat trick! I should like to see that. Technology is getting smaller & more wearable every day, so it's cool we're starting to have things like this at our fingertips.

 

I haven't posted this punk in a while. To be honest, I've been doing a lot of work on unfinished people and Azriel only needs more clothes made... because he always needs more clothes. So he is holding his lover's jewelry and clothes... and his head is just behind him on the table. Shydran is getting his body worked on and Azriel is none to happy about being on the nightstand all by himself. I think he'll forgive us once we give him Shydran back... I hope.

 

I know the picture isn't all that special but I just wanted to share my new arrival, my Kōji (a Dream Head 16), whose body I was finally able to free from customs on Wednesday.
He hasn't got his proper eyes and wig yet, and doesn't even have clothes of his own... but I just love him a lot

I so enjoy checking in this thread to see the pretties! And after nearly two years of oogling them in private, I finally took photos of my twin Kalix together to share with you all:


Calypso and Caruso, my vampire twins!

Calypso (white) is the re-release from 2013, and Caruso is from the original Kalix release. While very similar, you may be interested to know that there are differences between the two versions, outfit-wise. The cuts are slightly different, and the white piping is thicker on the re-release version. The necklaces and little metallic dodads are different from each other, as well. I think it's neat that there are differences here and there. It's like a cool little reward for owning both versions. (Now as for mold differences, I haven't inspected them that closely just yet, but it may be a good "excuse" to really give the guys a good stare, haha!)

On a totally different subject, Calypso and Caruso are entirely devoted to Ulrik, the matriarch/queen of their brood, and serve her as bodyguards, so their towering, chiseled physiques come in very handy that way. Ulrik, however, likes to also use the guys as furniture/an alternative-transport system when the fancy pleases her. I can't say they mind one bit!

 

I'll have what she's having! Twin Kalixes, how wonderful! He is such a great demon sculpt.
I have always wanted his outfit in my size. I didn't realize the rerelease was different; but I suppose you can't expect to be able to find all the same beads and materials you used years & years ago.

 

I received my Rain, Joonhee, today!! He's everything I ever could have hoped he could be. I requested a few little moles in his faceup that DoD left off that I'm a little upset about. But other than that I am just thrilled. He is absolutely beautiful!!!

Thank you all! I'm in LOVE with those eyes. He's on the new DOT body, which is just a bit too beefy for me. Joonhee has a really soft face and I think the body is just a little bit too much for the Rain.

I've also just received my shipping notice from DoD for The B today. I can't wait to meet him!
