Dream of Doll - DoT and DoI Part 5

Ive got a DOT Tender E-an and she usually wears 8-9" wigs. Some brands are a tad loose on her tho and ive tried 7-8" wigs from Leekeworld, they were too small n i couldnt get it on her >.< ... I usually just keep the wig in place with a piece of double-sided tape on her headcap.

Brands ive tried : Licht 8-9" / Leekeworld size E (8-9") / Usagi Hime 8-9" / Ninestyle size L / Dollmore 8-9"


I dont usually take pictures of Akane but she looks pretty adorable the other day and i couldnt resist getting some shots of her.... at 4am xD

I couldnt help notice that Felix and Akane both have white hair, reddish eyes, a white top and black ribbons around their neck xD

I finished his face up. I'm so happy with him now. I adore his mouth and you can't see where the flaws were now. I thought I would add to all the beautiful white haired dolls. He's not on a dod body though. It was to tall and to thin. He needed to look bigger than everyone despite his medium height. Anyway, Lucian Angelesque with his finished modifications. I hope that you like him.



I've been keeping up on my phone and it's really hard to quote with this thing. I just wanted to let you guys know how much i have enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful guys and girls. No no its not! I didn't mean to freak you out. That is what i did with my dream 15 head that i was telling you about. Azriel is the one that you met and Lucian is so i just finished the face up on. I have a thread kicking sound on here somewhere that shows the progress I've been making on Lu since I started to work on him. I'll try to get on the pclater to get a link to that so you can see what I've done with him. This is another picture of Lucian, dream 15 head on an iplehouse sid body.

B-line clothing definately fit D.o.Ts xD But its really baggy on them >.< ...

It has been a while since I bought Fitzwilliam shoes.
I can't remember what size I bought him.
Comparing measurements, even seems to be either the right length, but too skinny or the right width and way too long.
I just want to get him some brown shoes. Why is this so difficult? Haha

Hey there guys! Oh it's good to start seeing the new faces. I'm always excited to see what people make of them. I'd love to see them blank. There's so much potential in a blank sculpt that you can't see in one that's all made up. A lot can be hidden by a face up. I still just have Lu and Azriel. I've been getting commissions ouy of the way and haven't gotten much further with Lu's body, but I have a picture of Azriel that i had been meaning to share. I took it, but with my computer being dead, it was edited by okamikodomo. It is Azriel with Shydran. I think this is about the time that we realized they had an undeniable connection.

No no, sadly, it's not the full set, and his sister is a Withdoll Angela. He is also is getting some mods, because his seams were badly sanded by one of his previous owners. I tracked him as best I could, here on DoA. He has been through over six different homes, and I still couldn't track him back to his original owner. But it's ok, because I am going to be his forever home.

 

O_o At least SIX HOMES?!?! >_< Omg poor guy that's a lot of traveling for him to do!! Oh lol I just meant will him and his sister have similar outfits at some point :-)

 

Oh haha that makes much more sense LOL. Technically, it's still a sadly no, as Cal's sister is a girly girl that likes frilly dresses and lace, and he's a mechanic. Though I may have to dress them similarly just for a photoshoot.

Yeah, he's been around. The owner before his most recent is a friend of mine (and incidentally, friends with the person I bought him from; they bought him from her) and when she found out he was going to me, she was quite pleased, because she knew I would be his last owner. I honestly don't know how many more people have had him. I just can't believe there were so many that couldn't bond with him, or didn't want him around. Sha is SUCH a cute sculpt, and a bit underrated, if you ask me.

I totally agree! I know I'm super biased because Sha is my first and only BJD right now but he has so much potential. He is amazingly androgynous and his expression works really well for both genders. Not to mention that he can look either like a super grump, totally smitten and mischevious, or holier than thou depending on the angle. I have only had him for roughly a week and already have made him male and female clothes. Everything suits him!

Oh man what I would give for a dark elf Sha, congratulations! One of these days I might get my hands on one too.

 

I also have an A&D, and I'm waiting for a Lahoo, who are going to body swap, so the A&D has the teen body and the Lahoo has the Idol body. My favorite sculpt from them is maybe the Code 2, or the Mr P 1. A lot of them suffer from a case of same-face.

My Sha is also getting some face mods; I'm going to slim his cheeks down a bit so he looks older. Since his body was so badly damaged (the pictures the seller had posted looked awful; someone had gone after his seamlines with a dremel and a sanding barrel and didn't even give the poor thing the courtesy of sandpaper) I figured, why not? How many chances do ya get with limiteds like that. If he was undamaged, I probably wouldn't have bought him, so as to leave him for someone that would want him as he is. But with damage? Pft no holds barred.

 

Totally biased to Sha here too!!~~ My reasons are like the same as yours [MENTION=68609]bellabellababy[/MENTION] !! He's definitely smitten and mischevious: I have been ignoring Felix for awhile due to exams at school and he just have this look on him, I think he's plotting something >_<

 

I hope you both are able to get Sha! Haha we need more of him around here. He's got such sweet features. I thought he had a very kittenish little smile; he's sweet, but you just know he's probably up to something. It's perfect for Cal.

I finished a huge project today. His name is Michael. I'm really happy with how he came out. He's breaking in his sueding so I had him doing all sorts of crazy poses. Right now he's just sitting next to me. I can't wait to send him home so i can see pictures of he and his brother together. He belongs to Rinoakitty, my friend Jess. I feel honored that she let me work on her two favorite guys.

 

He is absolutely precious! I love that smile. I just finished cleaning the face-up off Cal. Can't wait to get started on his work. I have about a dozen face-ups on my workbench right now. Gah!



Myrretah, I usually just tell you what I think of your work in person, but I'll say it again. Michael is freakin' adorable. I love all his tattoos.

Just wondering and I think someone asked this before about Sadol clothes.
I saw their little teaser and very interested in their military uniform clothes.
Just wondering what size fits for a DoT? Would it still be sd1/3? Or something different?

All of the wigs I have from Luts are very nice.

 

I have an older Lahoo head coming. It's had at least two owners that I know of, maybe more? CloakedSchemer was the last. Don't know if there were more but it's got docs so that's nice. I really like the face up it has but the sealer looks to have yellowed a lot, at least on the head and forehead, and I'm thinking I might end up redoing. The owner before CS was apparently a smoker besides and it "might" have a bit of an odor though she says she washed it so depending upon if I can still smell anything or not I may have to take off the face up and soak the head anyway just to be able to have it around. No biggie. I've done it before but I will miss that face up. It's kind of cute. I've been looking at a lot of Lahoo pics on Flickr and I'm pretty sure this doll is going to end up on a female body not a male one. IMHO, Lahoo makes either a very girly baby faced guy or a little bit stronger faced girl and I think I'd like my Lahoo as a girl. Anyone else have a Lahoo girl? Just curious. I saw two maybe on Flickr. It's been done but not a lot I don't think.

 

St. James used to have a Lahoo girl that I was very attached to-- she was on a 70cm Dollshe girl body, so she made for a babyfaced gangly-teenager type. Very cute. :3 It's a totally androgynous face so it can really go either way.

 

Wow, big girl! 70cm is just too big for me but I do have a 58cm girl body that really could use a better head and I liked this one. I think it will match okay. I do have a boy body too, but it's clunky and huge and wouldn't really suit the head at all. I'll know better Monday or Tuesday. My Lahoo is supposed to arrive then...

 

Can anyone give me the circumference of the widest part of the hips for the DOT boy's new body?

 

According to the website, it should be 26cm ^^
