Hi Lyra, I heard your Kira is in, my Megu is too and these little ones are so cute! You will not be disappointed!

I hope you are well, I still have a little box of "stuff" to send you - finding the time to get to the post office is my daily battle - you can't ship overseas from an automated postal machine - darn!

Sharon: Glad your Sara is all yours. With your usual generosity you deserve to take care of yourself once in a while.

Sher: I was thinking this Dolpa I'm ending up with younger versions of your girls. Velvet is an F06 so she'd bear a resemblance in features but not look to the Ashby. I went with blue and plum shades on the eyeshadow and coral and gold for the lips. Each day I get more excited about her. She's proving difficult to dress before she gets here. Don't even want to go on about how many auctions I've lost.

I can't wait to see more photos of the arriving dollies. I hope everyone's darlings make it home safe this year.

 

Thank you for sticking up for me, Aree and Kittybongo. Everybody rants about missing packages here on DOA; I didn't think I was any different. I never want to upset anyone with ANYTHING that I post here.

Anyway Sharon - no my wig wasn't tight at all, it went on like a dream! I'm sorry to hear yours was tight.

 

My dream was to have all the Yo 4 Sisters. Unfortunately I could not be at the Dolpa on Sunday, so could not order any. But, thanks to 4 very generous and kind people the 4 little girls will be in my household this week. I've already planned their names...Pansy, Petunia, Primrose and Poppy. I've had new outfits made for them and will post pictures as soon as they are all here. I'm so excited. I have the SD10 4 sisters and just love the mold.

I got my Yo Megu and while her faceup was a sweet retro glimpse for me back to when I joined the hobby, it didn't quite match the image I had in my head of Shout. Soooooo, I enlisted Armeleia to repaint her.

I had to change the faceup on my Sara too. I decided (with some inspiration from JennyNemisis) that Weetzie would be the perfect name for my spirited little girl.

Aww, Weetzie's adorable! (Perfect name too!) I'm really loving the variety coming out of these 4 little dolls. Reminds one why their big sisters are also so amazingly popular.

 

Man, all these adorable Yo girls. Mine just can't get here fast enough. ;_; Shout and Weetzie are just to die for cute.

 

They are both really sweet! And yes, ma darn wig is too tight. However I do like to put Daisy (Sara) with her sister Hyacinth (the big Sara she made me buy at Dolpa for her) in thier default wigs because they look like one of those Clairol commercials from the sixties? Seventies? With the mom and the little girl? Anybody out there know what I'm talking about?

 

International Velvet: Weetzie is adorable. I love how you got the eyebrows to be the same tone as her really blonde hair.

But now I have the urge to shower her with cheap sparkly plastic gifts and strawberry bubblegum and a rubber chicken and Kachina Barbies and skeleton earrings and...

 

YAY!!! I can finally report the happy news....Volks emailed me with my Yo-Megu's UPS tracking number and she is scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday! Meanwhile, I'm really enjoying seeing photos of everyone else's Yo-Sisters!

Aree--I'm glad Sher was able to help you get the Yo-Sister of your dreams.

Sharon--Congrats on your Sara, and I do seem to seem to recall the Clairol ad campaign you do. Something like Clairol being able to give you the same color of hair as when you were a little girl. Can't wait to see your pix too!

I was just wondering does everyone else's 4 sister have dolpa19 headplate? I was hoping they'd be NY headplates like the Chinatsu and Kuuta from last year's LA dolpa. Either way still love my little girl she's more like a baby or toddler in expression compared to my other yo girls

Aree, I checked out the headplate when I first took my girl out of her box. I was hoping for a NY one, but nope, Dolpa 19.

Oh, I didn't check her headplate. It was a bit of a struggle getting Hana's wig on, but I'll look tomorrow.

OMG -- are they too cute or what????? I love their braids and hats!

 

Marilyn, these are the SDC size Braid wigs from Volks. The fit is absolutely perfect. Spampy made the dresses and these little boots are from Dale Rae for Ann Estelle and the fit is excellent. Info just in case you are looking for wigs and shoe/boots for your Yos.
And by the way I have loads of these little hats that I just put a ribbon on. Let me know if you want any.

I can't wait for my camera to be charged. I picked up my Rosalie (Yo Sara) yesterday and my Irvin finally arrived. I'm really excited to share some photos of them before I send them off for new face-ups. XD

 

Color me frustrated ...I waited all day for UPS to deliver and even though I was home, with my 3 dogs, the driver managed to stick a notice stating a delivery attempt onto my front door without making a sound. I called UPS and received a call back from a supervisor who apologized for my being inconvenienced, but they can't re-deliver again until tomorrow. I'm just so ticked off, I cancelled going to an event that might've helped my Cookie Lee business, in order to be available for UPS. What a drag. Guess I gotta sing one more chorus of "Someday My Doll Will Come", and at least I can continue to enjoy everyone else's photos whilst I wait.

Yesterday, my Irvin came home. I am very excited. I never got an email or a shipping number. As I live in Germany, I thought I might be one of the last shipping addresses...but here he is.

I have a question that perhaps someone can answer: this is my first tanned doll and I noticed white scratchings especially on the hands and some on the feet. One finger is even rather square as if someone tried to get the seams cut or scratched away and overdid the whole thing. Is this normal?

Send up a cheer and sound the bells!!! I am at last able to report the safe arrival of my Yo-Sister Megu "Cam-Cam"!!! She's got a delicate, yet lovely face-up. I'm thinking of added a bit a gloss to her lips, but other than that, I think I'll leave her face as it is. I'm still amazed at my luck having won the right to purchase this little darling in Volks' NY Dolpa 3Lottery, and it feels so good to finally have her!
