Heads up guys, I got the payment email for my Kira tonight.

 

Yup, got mine too! However, the link in the e-mail doesn't seem to be quite working yet...

 

I just my email with the link to pay for my Yo-Megu! The link seems to be working fine for me, and we've got until July 7th to pay. It also looks like only those residing in California will pay sales tax on their Yo-Sisters. Shipping via UPS Ground to me in Northern VA was under $17.00, but I think I'm going to wait to check out until tomorrow and add some odds and ends to my order...you know, as long as I'm there...LOL!

I just got a charge on my CC today from FDQ for $1041.59... Irvin? I think so.

 

You should thank your lucky horoscopes if you're not a California resident. For in-state, the UPS Ground shipping will be smallish, but the Bend Over And Smile sales-tax is... X_x Ow, ow, ow! For those on the Right Coast, your UPS will probably hurt a bit more, but you won't get that tax-reaming.

($15 for UPS, $35 for tax. Ow!)

Actually, shipping wasn't too bad, for me at least; $19.25 to Ontario. should be pretty low for everyone given the size of the little buggers.

 

Mine was $16.90 to Philly. Not bad, around what I had expected (it was $12 for a couple of cans of MSC last time so I thought it may be slightly more). Are the boxes really big? I'm having mine shipped to work and I ride a bike. Imma hafta strap her to my back, woo!

 

I haven't been charged anything for Irvin yet, not even a deposit, but I did give them a check for the doll and a card for the shipping. Maybe that's why?

 

Please do, I would love to meet them.

I got an Irvin for myself too. He is so cute. The pictures taken at Dolpa were even cuter than the promo pic from Volk.

Have no fear! I think that's how it was for everyone ( I know it was for myself and my friend.) Generally Volks charges cards very shortly before shipping, so I'm guessing when the charge goes through, the little girls will be on their way. The hold thing is usual Volks too, the way they do that for the Dolpa lotteries.

I paid for my Yo-SD Sara the other day and then like an hour later realized I left off the confirmation number. I've e-mailed customer service twice about my mistake with the confirmation number, but so far no reply. I'm just wondering how worried I should be and if I should call on the weekend or not. I bet no one's there today or tomorrow because of the holiday. Sigh.

I (finally) got charged for Irvin, though they still haven't taken shipping charges. Just the cost of the doll. Any idea what the shipping will be?

 

Wow, I wish they'd have an event in the south. That'd be awesome. There's so many collectors down here.

Oops, I also forgot to include my confirmation number. I e-mailed them (as they're usually good about this), but no response. I figure they're just busy.

Anyone else pay with a PayPal virtual card? They're both weird and helpful. I'd never used this feature before.

 

I haven't used the PayPal Virtual card....but it should work like other virtual credit cards I have used. I know of people using the PayPal one for Luts and other companies. Should be okay.

Has FDQ or Volks said when Irvin will start shipping?

 

Not recently but thought they said late July. I had it in my head he would make it for the August Borders meeting.

 

FYI, the virtual card thing worked just fine, but I had to generate a multi-use card rather than a single-use one. Either way, it seemed to work. Gosh, I can't wait until they start mailing the spoils of Dolpa to their new homes! On the other hand, this is giving me more time to get things together for Megu's imminent arrival. I'm excited! Last (full) doll was last year after my weddin'. She's going to be the last one this year and likely the last for a while.

It seems like it's hard to find Yo clothes.

 

Does anyone know if FDQ or Volks will "hold" dolls? I know Volks held my FCS for a week when I was out of town. It looks like I am going to have to go away for about two weeks starting this Monday, and I certainly don't want any of my proven thieves of neighbors getting a present...

Definitely contact FDQ as soon as possible on that one! They're the ones who will actually be sending your doll to you. I know last year someone's Masha *was* stolen because the recipient wasn't there. (I can't remember if she was out of town or moving or what, but it was awful. In the end, she never did get her baby.) I can't remember if FDQ shipped the dolls via US mail or UPS, but an option if they use US mail is to put a post-office hold on your mail while you're gone. Again, to find out, you'll need to contact Pat and find out how they're coming.

No, she was never out of town or anything. The doll was delivered to a wrong address that did not exist. FDQ did ship the dolls and did not insure them so in the end hers was lost, and she never got hers.

No. It took a LOT of work on her part, but she finally got a refund from FDQ. Still, Mashas go for much more than that original price, and she lost her chance at her girl because the after-market prices were so much higher

well, Sher, if you're like me, you might be waiting 3 months...I am waiting on Maki from the Dolpa before in Japan, and he has yet to ship...

 

Oh, I was really hoping that the Yo Sisters would have shipped by now. They have our money. I wonder what the hold up is. Looks like i won't have little Kira as my birthday present.

 

I emailed Volks this morning and they said they'd be shipping the Yos soon.
Most likely they're being shipped to the US store with the rest of the Dolpa 19 things.

 

I am almost afraid to get my little Daisy (aka Sara). I might go deaf from squeeeee.

 

These were something won directly from the Dolpa, and we were told they would be shipping this month, so I don't think that's the case.

I imagine the Yo's will probably ship within the next week/by the end of next week like the Irvin's.

 

I really hope you are right. I would like to have my little one before i head to Otakon in 3 weeks.

The waiting is getting to me too. At least with Irvin I only have paid the $100 deposit but the YoSD is paid for, has new clothes, wigs, shoes etc. here just waiting. I'm getting very antsy--I want my dolls!!!!!

why thank you!! I got her head at dolpa in class! her name is Monet. I am totally in love with her.

 

I know the feeling, I almost had to part with my C from the class but she is here and full of attitude. Yours looks so much sweeter than mine! Ilka looks like she's ready to brawl, hehe. I love the versatility of the mold (but I like them as girls best, hehe)
