I've entered the international AE for Mami, Yuu and Kanon. If I can't get my hands on the first two there, it's off to Y!J. My shopping service that didn't manage to get them at DP will also try for me in the japanese AE. Hearing that there are leftovers of the ones I want makes me hope there's a slight chance I might get them right from the source...
Now to sit on needles until I get the results... Thankfully I have the announcement day off at least.

I entered the international AE, and my shopping service will try her luck at the japanese one. I also know she lives quite close to one of the Sumika-stores, so if there's an after event thing there she will probably try there too.
The customs and taxes on the dolls will absolutely kill my economy if I get them directly from Volks myself, seeing as tax+custom sfee is something like 30% here (25% tax and 3-4% customs) but I got to have them so....

 

It's 25~30% here as well... *cries* ;w; But a DD is a lot cheaper than 2 SDGr girls... >.< I can't imagine how much money you'd have to spend!

 

I was pretty sure there wouldn't be any leftovers since Melty & Aoko are so popular this event! Let us try our best fransyung Maybe we'll be able to bring home a Melty for both of us yet

 

*oggles the blue wig ........ now if it had lil buns on the top of it it would work so well but, but >< I already got new wigs. I'd love to go to one of those events. I didn't get the chance to when I resided in Japan for a spell. Dolls look quite cute, particularly the one with the blue wig but then again I may have a some prejudice since I like blue ^^;; + the yellow-brownish eyes, ehehehehe.

Received winning confirmation for Neon from Volks USA, I am so thrilled (and boy was that a tough wait for the email, heh). I cannot wait for this little one to come home.

Forgive me as this is my first time entering their lottery, do I need to confirm anything with Volks or do they just charge my card? I'm so excited for this, I don't want to screw it up. xD

 

Echo, congrats! Based on my experience, you don't need to send a confirmation... For International lottery, we usually get a time frame for paying. You have to pay within that time frame or your order will be cancelled. You can find it in your email or in Volks Dolpa 28 announcement.

 

Echo they will automatically charge your card (the one you used to enter the lottery with) soon. The email they sent you telling you that you won Neon should tell you the date they plan on charging your card. Congrats!

 

Curious .... Has anyone received confirmations on Melty from Volks USA?

 

I received confirmation on Melty on Saturday, 29 December.

I've never seen this in an AE before, can anyone identify what heads are being sold in the Dolfie World Cup 2013 items? Seems like a school A and a girl head. There is no mention of their time of purchase, I will assume it will be the same as the AE for clothes

 

This is my first time entering volks lottery for neon. The International one will be announcing today. I saw that the Japanese after event starts on 12th, which I happen to be in Japan for holiday. If I fail to win the international lottery, will I be able to get neon in Japan frm one of the volks store? Thanks!

No luck for me in the After event...
But no reason to be sad! The shopping service got lucky and both Mami and Yu will come home to me! It really made my day. Been moping around all morning 'til she told me the good news.
No Kanon, but she was last priority so I'm happy with what I got (and the wonderful girl acting shopping service will try for her at the in-store AE).

Oh, I've took a part in the lottery for both Mami and Yuu and just found two emails from Volks o_o Unfortunately I can get only one this time >_< What to do? The choice is sooo hard...

 

Turns out I got a mail for Mami, 43 minutes after they said they'd be finished sending them out! Hating when they do this..! Gonna go with the shopping service, since it's easier and she can get me the extra hands, but the I like the idea of having twin Mami girls.. There's just so much potential there!
But I don't know If I can afford it...

just out of curiosity, since this is basically my first Dollpa afterevent, I thought it was part of the rules that you couldn't cancel after placing your lottery entry/preorder? But people are talking about not taking the dolls they won? I'm just wondering if that's a common practice / if Volks has any rules about that or does anything to prevent people from doing that?

That's my understanding as well. I wouldn't want to jeopardize my future chances with Volks.

 

You have to pay for them or you'll be banned from future lotteries. Congrats on winning, though! Emails are still being sent and sometimes it takes time to arrive in your inboxes.

 

Have anyone actually been banned from lotteries, or know someone who has?
I know they say you will, but I haven't heard of anyone actually being so.

 

I haven't really spoken to anyone before who didn't pay for the doll they won, unfortunately... I guess you could explain the situation to Volks if you're worried about it?

 

I have one ID that attend on Dolpa 26 and not paid on winning the lottery because of some accident that i cannot use money. nothing happens. i can use that ID attend dolpa 27 and winning the lottery and paid for it.
but i don't know if you don't paid twice they will banned you or not.
I know someone at flickr use multiple such as 5+ ID and multiple address to enter the lottery and also win all but not paid all for it. only one.

I think this is the reason why they sell the leftovers doll (not paid) on store after the after event. i see they do it on last two dolpa.

 

I have a Volks ID that has been banned. I cannot enter the lotteries using that ID anymore, but I can still order things such as the DD preorder using the ID... Sometimes Volks did ban users, maybe some people got away, but some like me are banned? For safety reasons, though, I am using a new ID and will always pay if I win... O.o

 

I won Neon!! for my friend actually lol but I didn't receive any of Volks mails that confirm my lottery winning. In my status page I can click to pay my order and the system bring me to the paypal payment and complete the order process and can't cancel it (I won't cancel it anyway)...So, I'm a bit confusing right now that why I won the lotto but there is no mail from Volks.

Yuppa! xD I told you, it might take time for the emails to get to their destinations... Sometimes it takes like 6 hours. >.> And since it's automated email, it sometimes got sent straight to junk mail, or being "filtered" by the inbox for a long time. (_ _) One time I received the winning email the morning after! Luckily Volks gave ample time to finish payment. ^^
