OH dear.
Ryouya (Tatsuya?) totally grabbed my attention. o_o

Ask a really silly question:
Will these new relased dolls only be available for lottery in the DP21 event in Japan? Or will they also be open for the US Volks website?

I can't wait to see his body. Does anybody know if Volks put some info about new bodies in the DP news? I can't remember when SD17 was released...
And the clothes that wear both: Ryoya and Ami, is incredible!!

 

They do have a page explaining the SDG body, I'm sure a picture will be up soon.

My personal opinion:

Ryoya & Ami are darling
The SDCs are okay
The Competition outfits are overpriced
The SD10-13 outfits are cute (A HIPPIE OUTFIT WAT)
The SD16G outfits stink.
I am indifferent on the shoes.

Oh darn... the SDGr-body.. I might be screwed.
All of my dolls are supposed to have different bodies and up until now Luther (esthy Peroth) and Cicero (SwD Lucas) were the only two who broke that rule. But is if the SDGr is what I think it is it'll be perfect for Cicero! (leaving the SD13 to Luther)

I don't think so. On the pages where they had Ryoya, Tsukasa was also featured in the background. I think its more about showing the other characters as part of the background.

These outfits they have them in are WONDERFUL (with the exception of the Awful Plaid Pants (tm))., Volks hasn't put out clothes this good in forever. Ami's outfits are especially stunning. Yay Dolpa 21!

 

It's definitely Jun on that photo (you can see the "Tachibana" in cursive at the bottom of the photo). But it looks like they have the whole TBS cast in those photos so I think they're just there for background. (If they *did* turnout to be one-offs, it would be one AMAZING collection of them!)

does volks planing to release tsukasa as sd17 in the future?!? oh pls. volks not now..... if im not mistaken all of pictures of tsukasa is in sd17 body, right?!?

 

Ami is really pretty! She's the first sd16 I've liked as a girl.

I think Ryoya has potential, but the pictures of him are a lot blurrier than Ami's and I can't see his face well enough to tell if I really like him. I must say I think he looks more related to Ami than to Tsukasa. I wonder why Jun is still sd13 while her friend is sd16? (...scratch that, I'll bet it's due to head size not working well on sd16 body.)

I might like Ryoya's wig/outfits more than the doll itself. In fact all the outfits this time have a nice style. The little fashion drawings behind Tsukasa and Jun are cute.

So I guess in Chapter 2, everybody grows up huh?

 

oops nevermind, just joining in on the squeeing. And joining the camp praying and crying (wallet wise at least) for an upgrade to the SD13 body (Still going to be dreaming of SD17s though)

The print is too small for my bad eyes ^^;. But there is definitely mention of increased poseability, like an SD17 body, and, er, that it contains the beauty of a young man. *coughs*

 

I really like this new boy body! I think I am going to try to get one for my Amakusa. And seeing a new pic of Sora just cemented that I want her too. Ohh, this Dolpa is killing me!

Sadly, my area is always very late to receive Volks News T_T So I have not received mine yet. If I could get more info from Volks News, I'll post it. ^_^

I love the SDGr body. I've got to start saving for one.

Regarding Toki - I didn't think so in the initial pic, but looking at him in the new scans, he looks like a mini Reisner to me. Cute little guy.

 

Ough I was hoping to be safe from this one, but Ami really caught my eye. And here I told myself I wouldn't want a SD16. X3

I LOVE the SDGr body too, but I really gotta limit myself here! I like a good few of those outfits as well. Oh Volks...don't do this to me!

Ugh, I don't want to like Ryoya, but if he really is closer to Sd13 height...crap.

 

Damn you Volks! Not only am I totally in love with that body (smaller SD17, whut?), they just had to go and put a Tsukasa on the SD17 body... and thus upgrading my dream and making it even harder to achieve. I never even thought to put a Tsukasa on an SD17, but the thought is so tempting.

And Ami! I don't think I've ever liked a girl doll as much as I like her. WOW. She's really beautiful! I'm glad I don't collect girls, or else I might even be in more trouble. ^ ~

And the clothes... I feel like this will be a dangerous Dolpa for me. ;_;

From reading the teeny tiny blurry scans, it says that you can use regular SD13 clothes with him, so I'm guessing more along the lines of SD13 size than SD17 (unless they're really so close you can exchange clothes, but I'm guessing ... not as much). It also says that the SD13 hand and foot option parts work with this body.

I guess if these Volks Newseseses are out then I should be getting one soon. Would be nice to read without my eyes pressed to the monitor. Ow.

 

The Yo outfits are cute but I think they don't come with shoes this time around if I am seeing the pictures which is just sort of meh.

I might be safe to get my extra 2-3 hours of sleep still. >>;

I like Ryoya and Ami but I think I will be liking them from afar.

His face is cute too, but not grabbing me in a next-dream-doll way (phew...safe!)

I wonder how much SDgr will go for second-hand, whether Volks will introduce it into the FCS system (pffft, unlikely, but still I think they should - or ad SD16 or SD17 instead), and how SD13 body prices will be affected.

I like the Yo boy sailor suit and the white boots with one of the SD17 outfits, but I think that neither of them are going to tempt me to Sumika line either. Sora & Toki's default outfits are really cute too, but they're probably too slim for MSDs.

 

I want to get.. the black skull cat outfit... o 3o so bloody adorable~

Volks must want all of my money. I'm thinking that I may need Ryoya. He looks very sexy. Kinda anime boy-style body. *sigh* But I want to save up money for Dolpa NY, too.

 

I like the sailor suit, but I really want more Yo shoes and when they don't come with the shoes it is a lot less tempting. I guess if the price is right I will think about it. I'm staying close enough to go back and take a nap in the afternoon and then come back out. It's just my last full day in Japan and I want to enjoy it.

If Ryoya is indeed more like SD13 size, that could make him quite tempting. His body does look rather SD17-ish though, and the SD17 body drove me nuts. But I think that was in part due to how big it was -- the SD16 boy body also drove me nuts, but I adore the similar, smaller SDC boy body. Sigh. I'm hoping I don't like Ryoya's face, that way he won't be too hard to resist. Though the fact that he'd probabl cost me around $1200 from Volks USA might also help me resist. xD I still can't wait for more pics of him!

 

gah, i fear i need ryoya.... i just hope i can sell enough things to afford him! ><;;; i love everything about him!

Okay, I think I'm smitten. The new photos have made me want Ryoya and I don't think I'd split him. If I get him, his body my go to my Okita, but he's got a sweet face by itself.

I absolutely LOVE that white MSD dress, but other than that there is nothing my girl's are demanding.

That hippie set is really cute too

 

Aside from pants (SDC legs are way longer than long-legged MSD's), my SDC and my MSD can share clothes no problem. Their waists seem to be about the same, and their arms only very slightly different in length. So I think Sora and Toki's outfits could work on an MSD.

I'm curious about the joints and shoulder width of SDGr body, I wonder if he can kneel/sit in Japanese style.....no SD16/17 boy, I should be safe but I like Ami, she's sweet, young, innocent. She's got a soothing gentle look. My mom is complaining that I've brought home 2 boys and no girl, Ami is the kind of girl she will surely approve. My sister in law kept saying Isao needs a girl friend. I should save money for a girl doll.

I did not bid on Jun Tachibana on eBay last week although I should and could have done so. What should I do now? My plan is to concentrate on getting either a SD16/17, SSDF, SDF doll so that the body can be shared with my F38 Christian. Errr....if this is Tokyo Boys Story Chapter 2, ........let me sleep on it and then decide.
