    1. I think that he is going to be smaller than SD16 or SD17. The price is only 115,000 yens while SD16/17 always cost around 120,000 (not including tax).
      I am really excited about the new body now...

    4. I'm safe too! They all look like gorgeous dolls, but not at all what I planned to add to my doll family. I'm very curious to see what the SDGr body is like. Always fun to see something new.:)

    6. Hehehe, I am thinking if there are no Sumika outfits I need desperately of going "late" since there is nothing from the Dealer's Room I need and this will be my 3rd morning in a row of events.

      That way I can actually last through the Dolpa as well and manage to maybe join the meet up afterwords.

    11. *_* Tsukasa's brother. I, like everyone else, am eager to see the new body. I'm not exactly sure if his face is pulling at me yet (need clearer pictures), but I'm a sucker for older brothers.

      :aheartbea And I'm happy to see more SDC! I think the boy is a bit too feminine for my tastes in these photos, but I already foresee some amazing repaints of him.

    13. I have a feeling the SDGr boy is closer to the SD16 since they haven't come out with a new SD16 boy ...ever...but lot's of people want them. I heard somewhere that it was because of the body design, so if that is true maybe they came up with a new body design and just named it something new? Big or small, he's going to be darling in person I am sure.

    14. He definitely doesn't look as buff as the SD16 in the full-body shot on the pages of the Volks volume... but I agree that he might be very similar in height/design. I'd love to see a slim SD16-ish body. 8D

    15. Oh I'd LOVE a slimmer SD16 body! Yukinojo's body is too bulky for my taste, and the SD17 body is too tall for me. I was actually hoping that the SDGr body is a more poseable version of the SD13 boy body!

    16. Annnd . . . safe! :cheer *sigh of relief* I am really impressed with this Dolpa's offerings though. Ami is adorable and its a good thing she's an SD16 or I might be tempted. The SDC's are also darling (finally more minis, whee!), but probably not enough to distract me from Fairyland's latest offerings.

      And I am really curious to see the new SDGr! I generally don't like Volks' BIG boy bodies though its always fun to see what they come up with. :D

    23. I'd been hoping for more poseable SD13 boy body for a long time now. If that price of 115,000yen for Ryoya is correct, then he is cheaper than the average SD16/SD17 boy and should probably be smaller in size. So it leads me to hope he has a poseable SD13 body, or maybe is a size between 13 and 16. :aheartbea

    26. The more I think about this, my current guess is that SDG will be more like a mature line of SD13 size. Kinda like SDC is the more mature line of the MSD

      Of course, Ryoya is also tempting, but I have to remind myself that girls are priorities at the moment. ><

    33. Ha Ha! Or "Super Dollfie Grrrreeaat!" I've become restless with having so many SD13 boys with the same body type, so the addition of a new boy body type is a welcome treat.

      Sora is also definitely cute, since she looks like my favorite SD Mold: Kun. I hope to see more photos of her soon!

    34. I think that yes a more jointed SD13 boy body is probably more accurate than a more mature SD13 body, just because you don't see SDC and MSD dolls really in the same stories.

    41. So Ryoya is on the right? Hmm. Tsukasa on the left looks like he may be on the SD17 body. (That arm doesn't look like an SD13 arm.) So does that mean that the SDGr body is shorter than the SD17? I think I'm joining the crowd that theorizes that this new body is a redesigned boy body in the SD13 range. And if it is. . .ooh boy. My Amakusa might want to steal a Ryoya body. He's definitely the weakest poser of my little Volks troupe.

    43. Tsukasa is definitely on an SD17 body in that photo; I'd recognize the shoulders anywhere. My theory on the matter, based on this photo, is that the "Chapter 2" of the Tokyo Boys Story is after the original ones have grown up a bit, and Ryoya is actually Tsukasa's younger brother. And like nena suggested, the SDGr body is probably just a slightly taller, more poseable version of SD13.

      Of course, I'm still anxious to find out more official information so we can put the speculations to rest. ;)

    45. According to some things I read, Ami is taller than Ryoya, so it seems likely he is around SD13-boy size. The Gr body was described as a "mix" of the SD17 and SD13 bodies, without the SD17 stomach muscles. I don't know how accurate this information is though.

I'm pretty sure "graffiti" is the right way to take that Gr, as looking at the keitai site it's "gurafiti" - normally it's supposed to be "gurafitii" but close enough for horseshoes and hand grenades . . . although I love the idea of calling him an SD Grrrrr as was suggested above! *LOL* There are some better pics on the keitai site, but unfortunately they're protected and I can't share them x_x. Come on, Volks News! *glares at mailbox*

      I like both Ami and Ryouya a lot at this point, but until I see either more closely I don't know if they'll apply to any of my characters, so I may be safe (Ami is the first SD16 girl to make me go "Wow!" instantly though) . . . both of the SDC are definitely cute, but I think I can pass on them for much the same reason. Toki reminds me of somebody, but I can't quite figure out who. Maybe a bit of Michele . . .

      Volks definitely got everything right with her, since I think she looks to be the most inspired, the most gently feminine, and the most realistically asian SD16 girl. I think I'll be joining a whole lot of people in the struggle to get her. I love being connected to the internet through my phone during these Dolpa doll releases! So exciting!
