Unfortunately, Volks has noted that the special sets for Ami and Ryoya are for Japanese owners(literally, in Japan at that) only. Add to that it will be a lotto item, those of us without the luck of the draw are sitting there twidling our thumbs...

 

Awwwn =_=. So I don't understand why the Ami's room is in english too, and says: "This page is only for SD16 girl "Ami Ayase" Owners", whitout mention anything about that's for japanese only T_T.

From what I understand, those who won their Amis or Ryoyas through dealers will not have the chance to enter the lottery, but all those who won through Volks themselves will. Yah, it confused me for a bit as well

 

My understanding was that the extras would be available by lottery to Volksusa winners and Japanese site, plus those that got it from the event or store.

Those who got it though dealers and international English site would not be eligible.

 

Anyone know if Ryoya's school uniform includes the shoes yet?

Those who won Ami and Ryoya from VolksUSa should've gotten an email today concerning the limited dress sets. I just got mine a few minutes ago.

The set won't be offered to international winners, it was specified on the Limited page

 

Volks USA also just sent out an email about the SDC option hands to winners of Toki and Sora.

To other Sora owners/winners: anyone know which hands Sora already has? I think she has #1s but I'm not certain. I love all the optional hands but I want to make sure I'm not buying the ones that come with her.

 

??? WTH? So if you won either SDC through a dealer you don't get to buy the option hands either? Not happy

 

Well, if they do the option parts the same way they did with the YoSD option hands, whoever can order them can get multiples So perhaps you can, after all!

 

I asked dealers about that. You also can't get any sato gaeri services through the dealer. But the upside is you saved on second market pricing.

As PurgatoriX mentioned the option to buy is similar to yosd hands so there is still hope.

 

Has anyone keep keeping an eye on the Y!J Auctions lately? Ami prices are ridiculously high right now...

 

How high are they? I am kinda considering trying for her on the 2nd hand market.....

 

She's been up to 180.000 yens (or even more, haven't checked every auction) right before the AE ^^;

 

She dropped down to 165k yen(that was the lowest I've seen of her) on the Sunday, but have since shot back up to 181k-183k ending bid since... I had a go for one at 171k the night before, but unfortunately, the deputy service I was using didn't process the bid in time and it sold for 170 instead... Quite sad that happened... Tried again tonight but they were consistantly going 180 or higher, and I just can't justify spending so much on her(not to mention shipping and other charges)...

 

Does anyone have a link to the optional hands being offered (like they did with the yo hands thru VolksUSA)?
And I'm being hopeful, but I would love to jump on an order for SDC optional hands

How many types of hands are being offered? I only saw 2, are there more?

 

I wish they'd re-release the SD13/10 hands again....*sob*

 

There are apparently 4 different female SDC hands, 1 SDC boy hand, and the holding hands. The female set included 2 that looked like various stages of relaxation of your standard open hands. One slightly curled, the other fairly straight. There was also the Renee/SWD Kaede hands, as well as a V symbol hand. I'm not entirely sure on the 2 open-ish hands, as the scans I saw were not that great... I was bidding on an order slip for the hands on Yahoo auctions, but got outbid in the last half hour... Seems my luck on auctions is as bad as my lotto luck lately...

Hopefully, someone will put up a group order for them or some such, so we can all get some hands or something...

Yeah, I feel the same way about the high prices. Its sad because if you want to get a doll you are truly in love with, you might have to sell another at a high price to afford the one that you truly want. It's like a never ending circle of high prices ; ;

 

I know that the Volks USA lottery entry for Ami mentioned she would ship around the beginning of July so I'm starting to get really anxious waiting for her! I keep checking my order status to see if anything has changed but it's still the same. And I'm trying to refrain from emailing Volks to ask if she's on schedule because that would probably be overkill and they'd probably be annoyed.

Has anyone heard anything about when the Volks USA lottery dolls will ship?

 

The best way to figure out when we'll be seeing our dolls is to watch the VolksUSA web page for news of the Sumika items arriving. The dolls ship just about the same time as the clothes go on sale. As of yet, VolksUSA has not posted any news about the Dolpa 21 Sumika items. Until then, it's best to sit tight.

 

I hadn't heard anything yet from Volks. She'll come when she'll come, Kittybongo. =3

 

A reminder to order option SDC hands from VolksUSA if you hadn't already done so.

And to check inboxes for shipping notices, as one saying my Sora's been shipped today just appeared.

I am totally gob smacked!

I got a shipping notice on my Ryoya and I wasn't expecting one till August because I ordered full aesthetics!

Do you think they forgot to sand, coat and suede him??? Or are they just ahead of schedule?

 

You might want to e-mail them and ask to make sure. You might have just gotten lucky but if you paid for services you want to make sure you got them.

 

They certainly are starting to ship! I received my notice for Sora just as I was leaving work. That was completely unexpected, especially since as I mentioned before I usually measure the time to wait by when the Sumika items arrive at VolksUSA.

I imagine I'll receive her Wednesday or Thursday. I'm so excited!

 

I order sanding and coating on my Sora. I think they're ahead of schedule as my Colin, who was also ordered from VolksUSA with sanding and coating, arrived earlier than expected as well. And all was fine with him.

 

I'm planning to pick up Ami this Sunday. =3

 

Oh, thank you, Thaelia I took the good advice offered and sent an email asking if everything was okay, but now I do feel better about it.

 

It's so exciting that people are getting their shipping notices! I can't wait to see those user pics, and hopefully in the future, customized dollies.

I got my shipping notice for Sora and she'll be here tomorrow. Can't wait!

 

My tracking information says Ryoya will be here on 2 July. I didn't get an answer from Volks yet about his aesthetics, but I suppose that means he has them as ordered. We'll see on Thursday I guess!

(1 July) Volks sent me a nice email saying that my Ryoya does indeed have his aesthetics. They said that usually they receive the normal dolls first and ship those out, but this time the dolls with aesthetics arrived at the same time as the others.

I love Volks. Sigh.
